"Hey, Britt! How's Alvin Jr. doing?"

Brittany chuckled breathlessly as she tried to lift the baby off her, "He's doing great!"

At only a one year old, Brittany was surprised how much alike her son and Alvin were, clinging to her like a jungle gym, while all at the same time constantly sleeping or nuzzling against her chest. She didn't know why, but Alvin Jr. always chose that spot to lay on. She didn't mind that though, not one bit.

Alvin laid on the floor on his stomach, his hands under his chin, he up at his wife with a grin on his face, "Is he bein' to wild for your taste, Britt?"

" No he's not!" Brittany playfully retorted as Alvin Jr. tugged on her auburn hair. She ignored the slight pain, her hands curling around Alvin Jr's sides. "Time to get down, buddy."

Alvin Jr. protested as she lifted him down, but stopped when she laid him on the floor, and she joined Alvin by sitting with her legs crossed. Alvin Jr. stood on all fours and tried crawling towards her and Alvin.

Brittany got an idea and sat on her knees, her arms outstreched, "Come here, Junior! Come to mommy and daddy!"

"You can do it, son!" Alvin cheered.

Alvin Jr. babbled a bit and crawled to Brittany's lap. Brittany laughe and lifted her son into the air, "You did it!" Alvin whooped excitedly.

"Now," Brittany set her son down, a few feet from their positions, "Try to stand up."

Alvin gasped, "You ain't gonna-!"

Brittany didn't return her loving gaze, "Yes. Yes I am."

Alvin Jr. did exactly the same thing; crawl. Brittany tried to think of something to encourage him to use his legs, but Alvin beat her to it.

"Hey son, look at my cap." Alvin said as he took off his cap holding it over their son like a toy. "Try to get it." Out of curiosity, Alvin Jr. stood up, although wobbly stood up. Brittany gasped dramatically.

As Alvin slowly pulled his cap back, Alvin Jr. took a few hesitant steps. He whimpered a bit, but Alvin spoke in a whisper, his tone encouraging and comforting. Brittany too was cheering, albeit more quietly as she repeated, "Go Junior go!, go junior go!, go junior go!"

Soon enough, Alvin Jr. stepped to Alvin and he putted his cap back on his head so he could hug his don, "You did it son, you walked!"

Brittany chuckled slightly, "I'm so proud of him."

Alvin Jr. didn't understand what he really did, but laughed as his two parents cheered and laughed with him.

The end.
