Hordak wandered around the camp.

At night. Alone.

As he had done often in those recent weeks since the last battle against Lord Prime.

The rebellion had won.

And he was free. Finally.

The former most powerful man on Etheria stopped his walk.

Saw up to the sky. Full of stars.

He liked the sight. He hadn´t experienced it on this planet, at all, for so long.

He left the tent for it.

Every night.

Left Entrapta, who always slept beside him. Snuggled up against the former Lord of Evil.

He had playfully protested at first, maybe out of habit.

But his lab partner just smiled and let her hair wrap around his waist anyway.

It was a struggle to get out of it without her taking notice.

But Hordak couldn´t sleep through the nights. Not a single one in all these weeks.

Dreams, memories of Prime, of his own past actions haunted him.

But he didn´t fight against it.

Hordak felt that it was punishment he deserved.

And so he didn´t tell Entrapta. Lied about having slept well every morning.

And that was ok.

He had his walks, found peace in them. When most of the camp was asleep.

There were a few guards but they mostly talked among each other and checked a few spots here and there.

Everyone was relaxed, relieved. So he had no trouble getting ouf the camp, vanishing in the nearby woods.

To be alone. To calm down.

As he did this night.

Hordak had found a spot not far away. An opening in the woods. Only a very old tree reigned over it.

There he was once again.

Standing besides the tree, looking over the clearing.

Hordak closed his eyes and just didnt think for a minute.

Not about the whispers he heard during the day. Every time when he and Entrapta were together, when he showed his face.

Hordak didnt blame anyone for that.

He had brought so much suffering to so many over the years.

But all he wanted to do now was getting back to the Fright Zone, rebuildung his sanctum to analyze all the new date he had about the planet, the First Ones, magic...with Entrapta.

Hordak smiled.

It was her idea. She had asked him if he wanted to go back, only a few days after the fall of Prime.

Everything since then had been a rush. Mostly with her.

There were a few awkward meetings with the rebellion leaders he had fought for so long.

But Entrapta had defended him, had vouched for him.

As had Adora, telling the others about the fact that Hordak had found her as a baby, taking care of her.

She had seen that in his memories as she did with his feelings for a certain princess.

"I trust Hordak. We should give him a second chance. You trust him too, don´t you, Entrapta?"

"I do. Im trusting him with my life."

Hordak remembered how he had felt in that moment. Her warm hand in his.

Fighting back the tears. Out of habit.

He didn´t now. He was alone. He could show weakness. He could cry.

Like he had in those nights before.

"Hordak? Is everything ok?"

Entrapta´s voice made his heart stop.
