Authors note: If you are reading this it means that Volume 2 has officially dropped in. If you have not read Volume 1 please do so as you won't find a recap in this summary. If you need to binge; read the first Volume as there are 13 juicy chapters to delve into in order to get a grasp of the lore and in this Volume so much is going to happen; and you may get answers to questions regarding ships. Answers to your questions will stem from flashbacks and as of now I can tell you this may go over or have just about the same amount of chapters as the previous volume. In the time it has taken since Volume 1 ended I have been hard at work on this and starting from this date, the date it has been added I will be hard at work getting a chapter a day up; it may not always be this way, so please be patient with me as I may have my work cut out for me. This is my main focus on this site, aside from rping, so all I can tell you is the events of the previous Volume play heavily in here and I did spend a lengthy time forming bonds so I wasn't accused of rushing things. That being said this will take place 3 or so months after the events of the finale. Also this may have a different feel from the previous Volume.

RWBY: Remnant the world of monsters Vol 2

CH.1: Picking up the pieces

Yang tensed up as she was facing off against her opponent. Everything about her told her that this opponent would knock her flat on her back in seconds if she wasn't careful. She had to wait them out, yes, alright…now…attack!

Yang was tackled by a flying ball of fur and wound up on her back licked at by his tongue. "Ok, ok I give, Zwei 1 and Yang 0." She laughed.

"Zwei you did it!" Ruby called out and Yang watches as Zwei barks happily and gets off her to join Ruby and jumps into her arms.

"When did Zwei learn to do such a move anyway?" Yang picked herself up and looked over at the open door of the family homestead as their father joined them.

"I may have had some free time on my hands. Cookies are ready for you two when you are ready to eat. Ruby do you mind taking Zwei inside for a bit?" Yang watches Ruby look back at her before she heads inside with Zwei.

"I don't want to talk about it," Yang brushed her father off as she rubbed at her shoulder. The night that had haunted her dreams these past few months was not letting her up anytime soon.

"Fine, we won't talk…fight me then. If I win though we talk about this, fair?" Yang let out a frustrated sigh but knew that her father was quite stubborn and set in his ways when he challenged her like this.

"Alright old man…let us see what you got!" Yang rolled her shoulder and got her hands up. The two of them square off and Yang charges at him. Right away he anticipates her attack and side steps before landing a kick at her back and she goes flying onto her chest.

"Your form is sloppy and your head isn't where it is meant to be. It is because of her isn't it?" Yang glowered at him and rose up as she charged again. She swung at him left and right but it was like he could see right through her.

"It isn't like that!" Yang attempted a kick but he grabbed at her foot and threw her to the ground again and she let out a grunt.

"You let someone in, you bared your soul and they turned you away. Am I getting warmer?" Yang was flustered and swept at his feet knocking him to the ground. She had him dead to rights as she held up her fist at him, her body wracked with emotions.

"Shut up! You don't know…" Yang was then wrestled underneath him and he gave her a light tap on the face. Her eyes incredulous; her mouth unable to form words, just lying there she felt vulnerable.

"I know exactly how you are feeling!" He rose up and held out his hand to her. She wanted to push it away but grasped at it with her hand and was pulled to her feet.

"Mom," Yang said softly but even saying that made her feel…pain. He nods his head and gestures for her to follow him. They begin to walk away from the house and into the surrounding woods.

"Your mother…not Ruby's mother per say, wasn't the easiest person to deal with. She was complicated, filled with raw emotion. I loved her but she couldn't make this work…and…she left. I tried my best to make things work but for whatever reason she was always guarded, always sought to do things she felt was right, that she believed was protecting me, us. I want you to know that with Ruby's mother I didn't rush into it but respected what I had with your mother-."

"I get it dad…mom was…something. And I take it you are comparing mom to Blake is that it?" Yang stopped as they appeared to the ledge.

"I wouldn't go so far as to say compare…given that Blake is still figuring things out, still, if you love someone enough…you let them go, and, if they love you back someday they will return." Taiyang appears to lean against a tree as his gaze appears fixed on the ocean.

"You're still waiting for her to come back?" Yang leaned against another tree facing his as they just stood there.

"Part of me will always be waiting for your mother to come back, but, another part of me, the realist deems that impossible and just to move on with my life. I raised you and your sister to the best of my ability and look at how much you two have grown. I mean attending Beacon and training to be Huntresses, a dangerous line of work…which makes me relieved you came-."

"We had no choice dad…not like they were going to let us stay on campus after what happened…" Yang grew quiet as she folded her arms and found her own gaze drifting off to the ocean…memories coming back to her…

Yang lay there after what happened with Blake, her body numb and her ears picking the sound of fighting going around. The sound of feet reaching her before she was turned over and staring up at Ruby who was shaking her as tears fell from her eyes. "R-Ruby-?"

"Oh thank goodness, I thought I lost you!" Ruby held onto her and Yang just patted her head while finding Weiss standing nearby merely nodding her head but it was clear she was just as relieved.

"I'm fine…just…Blake is…" Yang wasn't quite sure how to put it. Blake was gone, and, she was a Werewolf. Part of her wanted to accept that side of her, she really did, and yet because of her doubt Blake felt hurt and that hurt stuck with her. Was she really so biased to claim that she liked her only to face this transformation and it stopped being her?

"Blake, where is she…did you see her?" Ruby inquired. Yang merely nods her head. "Great, um, is she nearby?"

"Blake…she…left with a few people…and…she wasn't human…" Yang could hear the sucking in of air from Weiss and Ruby was trying to process what she had been told.

"Wait…um…what do you mean she wasn't-?" Ruby didn't get to finish as Weiss strode over and went to push Ruby aside as she nearly straddled her as she gripped at her shirt.

"Yang…by not human…do you mean a Vampire or a Werewolf? Answer me!" Yang attempted to get her bearings and she swallowed past the lump in her throat.

"Werewolf, she was, a Werewolf," Weiss had let go but was now fuming as she yelled at the top of her lungs.

"All this time I was spending time with a mongrel, unbelievable. I mean her kind has put the Schnee company through quite an ordeal-."

"Back off Weiss…look…just get a hold of yourself before you say more things you will regret. Blake didn't choose this…it was something she was born with. I mean who are we to speak on such things when we grew up normal and we don't have to worry about transforming and getting ripped apart each full moon!"

Yang rose up even though she was hurt from Blake lashing out at her. She was a bit sore but it seemed like Blake had held back when she could have really done some damage to her.

"Will you two quit it! Blake is gone; there is nothing we can do about that now…we need to stick together if we are going to get through this!" Yang stood facing Weiss and the two appeared ready to jump at one another and settle their differences here and now.

"Fine, but, after this I am going back home; what, you think Ozpin is going to resume studies like nothing happened? Face it until the school can get things under control and deal with the fact they had a Werewolf and some Vampires loose freely as they were, none of us are going to be kept around. I think in the end that will be a good call cause I don't even want to be around you Yang right now."

Yang was breathing hard and as Weiss stormed off she was left with Ruby who looked broken. "Ruby, it is not her fault…Blake, she, no wait it has to be Adam…he is making her do this-."

"I don't know what to think right now Yang, but, lately it seems like Blake has been on your mind more than anyone else. I wish none of this had happened and we could go on as a team and all this monster stuff was put in the background, it is what it is, just…I'm going to miss this place…"

Yang attempted to hold her but Ruby just walked off following after Weiss. Yang looked on some as she found her gaze going to the field where Blake had left with Adam and she let out a sigh.

Yang shook her head some as the memory passed and she didn't even realize it but she was crying. Wiping at her eye she passed it off as a shiver and looked over at her father.

"We should get back to Ruby and Zwei, see if there are any cookies left." Yang followed after her father as they walked slowly side by side. Yang appreciated being back home and yet some part of her echoed Ruby's line of thought of missing Beacon.

"Dad…there is something I've been meaning to tell you," Yang could see the house coming up and she dragged her feet some.

"What is it?" Yang looked up at the sky attempting to find the courage to tell him. It was something she had been fighting with for so long and yet now she felt the need to say it before she buried it down.

"Dad…I'm a lesbian," Yang looked over at her father and he appeared quiet. "Say something; this is killing me even saying it aloud-."

"Yang…you might not believe this, but, some part of me has known for a while. There were little signs and at a certain point in your development you were sort of coming into your own and fighting dresses and getting into fights, and, boys were into you but you always told me they were eww and they smelled funny and…what was that, oh right, you did not like boys."

"I said all that?" Yang lowered her gaze and her father walked over placing his hands on her shoulders.

"Yang, I love you whether you are into boys or into girls. I've never been one to push you in one direction, that was all you. Becoming a Huntress, looking for your mother, your clothing choice, all I can do is support you and hope that you are happy and that you are safe."

Yang threw her arms around her father drawing him close. "I love you too dad. And, regarding Blake…I have no idea where she has gone and even so…she-."

"Yang, I don't need to know, if you don't want me to know. This Blake, she is very precious to you isn't she? The school won't be open for a bit so there might still be a chance you can find her, however, you aren't really a full-fledged Huntress yet-."

"So what are you saying exactly, that, because I am not a full-fledged Huntress I shouldn't go looking for her?" Yang held her hands up exasperated.

"Let me finish, I swear it is our same old fights from when you were younger when I wanted you to wear a nice dress," he laughs, "another reason I gave up on having you wear a dress…too much hassle and they often wound up on your sister. If you are going to do this…you will need someone to look after you two-."

"Huh, I mean it is only me going so…oh no," Yang went to look up at the front porch steps and sure enough there was Ruby already dressed.

"You didn't think you were going without me…did you? This'll be fun Yang and besides I care about Blake too, I mean, not as much as you…" Ruby turned around and was doing the whole kissing thing.

"You are going to pay for that…as soon as dad isn't around. So, you mentioned someone else?" Yang looked over at her father.

"If you are going after a Werewolf…it is best you bring one with you," the voice came from around the house and as Yang peered over she saw a hulking fur of a presence stroll over with spectacles resting along his nose.

"Girls…I believe you know Professor Oobleck, well…what you may not know is-." Yang blinked her eyes a bit as she and Ruby stared at the presence. So…to track Blake they had to rely on her kind, what could go wrong?

Authors note: Yang and Ruby are about to begin their first journey into the world of Remnant in search of Blake. However their story is just one of many as next chapter we catch up with Jaune.
