The first formal outing the two newly revealed brother and sister went to was a mess to say the least. They had dressed to compliment each other with Tony's tie matching the blue of his sisters long gown. They came together arm in arm, supporting each other in the only way they knew how. Within minutes of their arrival they had become the talk of the party. No doubt they had been the main conversation in the drama circles since their sudden announcement. This was the world of the elite that they chose to live in. They knew what they were in store for from the beginning. They knew it from the moment they first approached the Starks.
The two stayed close not out of fear, you would never get either of them to admit to fear of a mer mortal. They stayed together for the intimidation factor they could use against the business men and woman. Pepper Potts and Tony Stark we're both intimidating in their own rights, but together they were an unstoppable force. They used that to there advantage now.
It worked for the very beginning of the event people avoiding asking the questions that were quite plainly burning a hole through all of them. The siblings radiated a sense of intimidation, the same one they always used to get there way I'm deals. They now used as a shield. A shield they deterred the determined humans from approaching them with any of the questions the where dying to have answer. People still approached to talk business and deals but no one asked any questions to personal at least for course though, eventually someone, with a few glasses of liquid courage finally broke the ice on the true question everyone wanted to know.
"I have to know. Is this all a farce for publicity? I mean your parents only had one child." The woman that asked was older with slightly greying hair. She spoke with such certainty that she knew the truth. The two siblings shared a small grin before turning back to the woman.
"Mrs. Jones, I'm afraid your wrong there." Pepper began. "Our parents had many children." Tony smirked at the woman's shock. Honestly why she was shocked didn't make any sense, after all the two had gone public to make the announcement. "But, that's not possible. Tony you grew up by yourself." She floundered trying too make him see her reasoning. "Yes I did, but that doesn't mean my siblings don't exist."
"Tony this is madness, you are implying that your parents hid your siblings." An older man finally but into the conversation. Tony took a drink glancing at his sister over the rim of the glass as he did so. He then gave the man a solemn look that held many years beyond his own of pain. "If only that had been what had happened." With those heavy words dropped he took hold of his sisters hand and led her to the dance floor. Successfully escaping the clutches of the group.
It was what had happened, the Stark's where so post to take the whole group in. It was an exchange, a deal they had made. A deal they had ended in their favor. In exchange for a smart child, a prodigy they could flaunt to the world, they would take in all of them, they would keep the small family together. They hadn't though, they had broken the deal with in the first months of living with them. They had sent all but Tony to an orphanage. The excuse they had dared to use on the God had been, 'their still together.'
Tony had made their lives a living hell after that. They had dared to break a deal with them so they would suffer the consequences. Their perfect little prodigy had an attitude. He held up his end even though they didn't and became their smart kid. Of course He had issues. Tony was snarky and talked back every chance He got. They could do nothing about it. Tony did that until the day they died, something Tony would swear on the lives of my siblings that he had nothing to do with. A swear he wouldn't take lightly not on the lives of he family.
The Stark monarchs deaths was an 'accident' that none of the siblings had anything to do with. A freak 'accident' that could have happened to anyone driving in the rain like that. Besides why would he kill the hand that feeds him in a way. Through the influence he gained from being their 'son' he was able to set up lives for his siblings. He set aside money in secret accounts for them all to live off when there time in these lives came to an end.
Despite what the Stark couple had done in breaking the deal it still was for the best that Tony continue stay with them. He was in the best position to set up good lives for his siblings. A reliable future for all of them later on in life. He created multiple accounts through out the years which he feed money into slowly building the amounts up till they each held a fortune. They were immortal gods but that didn't mean that on this world they wouldn't require funds. And Tony took full advantage of his position as the 'son' of a successful business man. Their little accident was a lucky surprise for the siblings in the end.
They where getting tired of sneaking out to be with each other. When ever either of the Starks had found the group of siblings together. Tony would be punished. Of course his punishment was laughable in its effectiveness. When out of anger for attempting to 'ruin' Howard's image by playing with commoners, he had raised his hand to Tony. Tony had glared in fury raising a hand to a child was unforgivable. The man had screamed in pain with both his legs broke.
Howard had never raised his hand to him again. That left them with simply locking Tony in his room for days. That led to having to replace the doorknob multiple times every time he was punished. When that didn't work they had started cutting meals during punishment. That did nothing. Not Tony at least he could go years with out eating. When he was imprisoned he hadn't eaten during that time his jaw held open with the sword they impaled him with. Their punishments where useless but they did attempt they even when they knew it was pointless. It had gotten annoying rather quickly though so he had gotten very good at sneaking around. Their deaths had come at a good time for the group.
Just because it was lucky for the group didn't mean it was lucky for the Starks or necessarily the company. Tony had no loyalty to anyone working for the company at the time of the Starks deaths. Obidiah had tried since the first day they had met to gain the young 'child's' trust. He had always been unsuccessful. Dogs and wolves could sense if someone was trust worthy, and Obidiah, that man had smelled awful. An indescribable smell of lies had always surrounded that man. Tony had never trusted him, he had trusted him even less once Pepper had spoken of an aura of death which surrounded the man.
Although none of them had trusted that man, getting rid of him wasn't an easy task to accomplish. They didn't trust him but everyone else seemed too for some unknown reason. So getting rid of him any other way but the way they did would have been near impossible. Simply firing him was out of the question. He was the right hand to the company's founder, with out an extremely good reason it wouldn't have worked. So they had been more then grateful for his death which they had released behind shields back as being a suicide bomb attack gone wrong.
It was perfect in the way that he was out of their lives forever. The freedom having no one above them now was far beyond what any of them could have imaged. With him still around there was always the chance of him coming upon something he had no rights to know about

Authors note
I hope everyone is enjoying the story so far. I need to rewatch some of the avenger movies before I can go to much further. But I still have a few chapters already written. I've very surprised by the amount of people who are enjoying this so far. The reviews make me smile thank you.
