Carlisle's reaction was priceless. He decided to keep quiet and feigned a look of pleasant surprise at seeing Bella, who only growled in response. He lowered his head in response. This isn't going to end well, he thought.

Edward hadn't moved a muscle since Bella revealed herself. Tanya walked to Edward's side, trying to grab his hand to show she still loved him. Edward yanked away, as if her touch burned him awake. He glared at her, then gazed at Bella, pleadingly.

"Bella, Love, I am sorry. I never wanted to leave you. Please, come back to me." Edward begged.

"Edward, no! Please! I love you!" Tanya cried. The boy scowled in response. "Get away from me! I never loved you! I never told you I loved you!" Edward said harshly.

Bella laughed humorlessly. "Oh wow. That's harsh. Well, Edward, you should have thought of that when you let me walk in on you fucking her." she said.

"I fucked her because I didn't want to hurt you! You were human! I have needs that would have killed you!" Edward shouted.

"Caius fucked me when I was human." Bella replied. "So you kept me human because...?"

Bella waited patiently for an answer.

"I didn't want to destroy your soul." Edward said quietly.

"Funny, that's what you told the others too. Oh man, I thought I was special." Bella sighed dramatically, mocking a whimper. Aro and Caius could be heard chuckling to themselves. Marcus watched the confrontation stone-faced.

"Bella please, come back to me. I promise I'll make it up to you." he pleaded.

Bella's smile grew wider. "Really? You'll make it up to me?" she asked, eyes wide in anticipation. Bella was toying with him, and Caius was enjoying the show.

"How are you going to make it up to me, Edward? I really need to know. After you cheated on me and all the horrible things you said to me-" Bella yelled.

"I lied! I did what I did and said those things because I didn't want to admit that I had feelings for you!" Edward yelled back. Bella stayed quiet for a moment.

how are you going to make it up to me?" Bella asked, in a serious tone.

"Anything, my love. Anything!" Edward promised.

Jasper kept quiet as the other Cullens looked at him nervously, hoping for a sign of deception on Bella's part. Jasper was an expert at assessing any situation.

He knew Bella was playing around with Edward's head. If by some miracle he and Alice survived, he would make sure they would never cross Bella's path again.

"Anything?" Bella asked. "Anything" Edward breathed, his eyes full of hope and lust.

"Kill Tanya, and the rest of the Denalis." Bella said. The amber eyed vampires all gasped in horror at Bella's demand.

Edward's face crumpled. "What?" Edward whispered. He glanced at Tanya sideways before looking back at his former girlfriend. Tanya's eyes widened in fear. She backed away slightly from Edward, not really knowing what he would really do.

"Kill. Tanya. And the rest of the Denalis." Bella repeated slowly. "Here, I'll start for you." Bella walked up to Tanya and grabbed her by the back of the neck, pulling her to the front of Edward.

Bella pushed the blonde down her down to her knees. Tanya whimpered. "Kill her." She shoved Tanya's form towards him, with a manic expression.

No one dared move, knowing Bella was part of the Volturi, queen or high ranking guard...if anyone interfered, it would mean a trip to the dungeons, Jane's painful gaze, or execution.

Edward looked at Tanya in horror, then back at Bella. "Bella, I don't want to kill anyone-" Edward stuttered.

"I could have asked you to kill Carlisle. I thought I was being kind..." Bella interrupted.

"No..." Esme sobbed. Bella shot Esme a glare, dragging Tanya by the hair with her to stand in front of Esme. Tanya whimpered in pain as Felix followed behind them both.

"You're gonna die, Esme. You let this shit go on far too long. You let it go on, and on, and on..." Bella taunted.

Carlisle had enough of Bella's taunts to his mate and roared in anger, charging after her. Felix stepped in and held him back. "Stand back, Cullen." Felix growled. Bella laughed, throwing Tanya at Edward's feet. "Kidding. You can have your whore back. I don't care if you guys live or die. I'm gonna leave that up to my Masters.

Bella looked at her hand and grimaced, shaking the chunk of hair that came out of Tanya's head from grabbing too hard, then a random thought. "I'm gonna miss my newborn strength..." she muttered.

Edward shook his head in bewilderment and disbelief. "I loved you..." Edward whispered. Bella smiled a small smile. "That's nice." Bella walked away back to her mate. Caius held her in his arms while Bella leaned into his embrace for comfort.

Maggie watched from the sidelines, shaking her head in sadness. "The only truth that comes out of your mouth, a little too late." she muttered.

"Bella, what happened to you..." Edward asked himself, brokenly. Both Aro and Bella looked at the him in surprise. "Are you fucking kidding me?" Bella asked, incredulously. "You're so different! This isn't you!" Edward cried.

"You cannot be serious!" Aro muttered. Edward glanced at him, unable to answer. "You are one stupid boy." Aro said in disgust. "Bella, please lower your shield. I want Edward to see just what'happened to you.' "Yes, master." Bella replied.

Bella dropped her shield, letting her's and everyone else's memories flood Edward's head. Memories of the shy, quiet, gentle girl played through his mind.

After stupidly letting Bella find himself and Tanya together, she became angry, bitter and moody, even more so after her change.

The one memory Bella had pleasure in playing over and over again was the destruction of the Cullens' home in Forks. The sledgehammer to the piano was her favorite. Edward whimpered. Bella grinned.

Edward saw that she fed from humans, played with and tortured her food. She lashed out at her new family from time to time. There was a cruelness about her that shocked him to his core.

Edward dropped to his knees in grief. He now understood that his actions created this woman who became this heartless bitch. He resented being called out for his actions.

He wasn't ready to admit his growing feelings for the human girl, so he took the coward's way out and cheated on her. He broke her heart. He won his game. So he thought.

"That is what happens when you destroy a woman's love, faith, and trust in you, Edward Cullen. And you believe us to be cruel..." Aro said icily.

"Aro, we must continue." Marcus said. "Of course." Aro replied.

Alice had attempted to get him to stand. "Leave him there! If he wants to stay on his knees like a coward, let him!" Marcus growled harshly. Alice scurried back to Jasper.

"Pathetic. Piece of shit..." Marcus spat in disgust. Edward slowly got up and walked back to his family.

Witnesses on both sides conversed quietly on the events that took place. Carlisle and Edward had lost respect from both the Volturi and all witnesses.

"Emmett, Rosalie, Jasper, Alice. Come forward. Aro, read them all." Marcus ordered.

The four vampires stepped forward, reluctantly. Aro read them all, then signaled to Marcus silently. Emmett and Rosalie knew of Carlisle's journal. Marcus nodded slightly.

"Immediate death for Emmett and Rosalie Hale for their crime of keeping silent." Marcus ordered. Several guards attacked and destroyed the couple, ending their existence with fire. The remaining Cullens and Denalis looked on in horror.

Marcus looked to the Whitlocks. "How do you plead?" the king asked. Jasper spoke first. "Not guilty, master." Marcus raised his eyebrow. "Why did you let this go on? You knew of the human." he asked.

"I warned him but he shrugged me off, saying it was harmless, and to mind my own business. He ordered us to keep quiet." Jasper replied, looking over to Carlisle. Carlisle remained silent.

Marcus's anger was a slow burn from the beginning. He was losing patience. Aro quickly responded. "Jasper Hale did warn Carlisle."

"Let them go, but with conditions." Marcus ordered.

"You, Jasper have been found innocent. However, Alice has the gift of foresight. She should have seen and warned you of this situation as a mate would. But in the interest of Alice's gift, you will both serve the Volturi. You may leave for now, and I trust you will not leave Italy." Aro ordered.

Jasper and Alice walked away, with Alice glancing at Carlisle, Esme, and Edward. "Come on, sweetheart. They don't give second chances." Jasper muttered. Alice sobbed as they walked away.

"Carlisle, Esme, come forward." Marcus ordered.

Both husband and wife walked up close to the thrones while everyone else looked on.

"You were once part of the Volturi. Aro is asking me to spare you, though I'd rather not." Marcus said, disgusted.

"If it were up to me, I would have you torn apart and lit on fire. Your lack of respect for our laws is alarming. I will let Aro deal with you." Marcus said.

Aro stood and walked up to them. He looked at Carlisle and Esme sadly. He was already on thin ice with Marcus, asking to spare his old friend. The punishment had to be most severe. Aro then turned to Felix and Demetri, signaling towards Carlisle. The two guard members grabbed the family leader.

"Bella." Aro called out. Bella walked up to her king. "Kill her." Aro ordered. Bella nodded and walked up to Esme, who didn't try to fight. "I told you." Bella said simply. She twisted Esme's head off and lit her on fire.

"NO!, No!" Carlisle screamed in grief.

"You will not create another Cold One for the rest of your existence. Your coven is disbanded, Nomad. Leave." Aro told the sobbing Carlisle.

Carlisle, grief stricken, glanced at Edward, knowing he would soon die before his gaze landed on Bella. He glared at her with so much hatred. Bella stared back with no emotion. With a solemn expression, she waved her fingers at him.

He had nothing else to live for. He would retaliate at a later time.

Aro signaled to Sian. He was a tracker, similar to Demetri. Sian was to follow Carlisle for an indefinite time. He would be monitored closely.

All that was left was Edward. The witnesses and the Volturi turned and stared at him silently, like an animal in a zoo cage. Edward cowered under their gaze. He felt alone, not able to find any comfort of his family for when he would face his death.

"Aro, read him. I need to know if there's any stray humans out there that need to be taken care of." Edward flinched. Aro grabbed Edward's hand.

After a moment, Aro released his grip on Edward's hand. "Brother, we have no strays. It appears all the human women he has interacted with have died by suicide or old age in hospice or mental institutions. And he never plans to stop." Aro growled.

The Denali coven gasped, even Tanya, not knowing the full extent of Edward's sickness in playing with humans and revealing their existence.

"Guilty. Immediate death." Marcus stated. Caius walked up to Edward, grinning an evil grin. He grabbed him by the throat and forced him to his knees and twisted his head off.

Bella walked up after Caius was finished. She was ready to burn him, but not before picking up Edward's decapitated head and staring into his eyes. "You lose." Bella said.

She lit him on fire. Edward was no more. Caius and Bella stood by as Marcus walked to the center of the throne room.

Marcus glared at everyone in the room. "Any questions about our rules?" he asked harshly. "No, Master." the witnesses murmured quietly.

Marcus picked up the journal and threw it into the fire. He knew everyone in the room was curious of it's contents.

-Two Years Later

Bella's POV

I waited impatiently as we landed the private jet in Seattle. My leg bounced endlessly in anticipation. Caius put his hand on my leg to soothe my movement. "My love, we will get there." Caius assured me. "I know. I'm just excited to see my father again. It's been too long since I've seen him." I smiled.

Soon, we were in route to my old home. I smiled at the thought of seeing my father and Jake. Everyone else would stay away for now.

As Felix drove us closer to my former home, memories of Edward breaking up with me flooded my mind. My hand grabbed at Caius's own. Caius sensed my anxiety and held me to him. "Caius, please tell me again." I whispered.

"I love you. I will never lie to you. I will never betray you. Bella, look at me..." Caius whispered. I looked at him hesitantly.

"You are my world. If I have to kill everyone on this earth to make sure you and I are the only ones for each other, I will." he vowed.

I looked into his eyes. "As long as you don't kill our families. And um...we need to eat, Caius. I don't think you'd want to live on the blood of animals..." I said, laughing.

"I know, my love. I just wanted to see you smile and laugh. My job is done for today." he said. I kissed his lips. "The day is young. You still have to meet my father." I said. Caius groaned playfully, gathering me into his arms.

"Oh, alright." he sighed dramatically. I giggled in his embrace.

Life is good.

After several months of constant monitoring, Carlisle had enough and attacked Sian and tore him apart. He lit him on fire for good measure. He wanted to go home. But first, a visit to his friends in Romania. Perhaps a deal could be made. After the brief meeting, he left.

"I may as well continue this on my own. I'm not going to let this end. This can't be the end..." Carlisle growled lowly. The facade of the gentle mild mannered doctor was no longer in place. He began to think of the shape shifters and the experiments he was desperate to begin with.

"Leah Clearwater will do..." he murmured.
