Once Rem and Shera entered the tower, they were greeted by a bright light caused by the magical lamps that hanged on the walls of the hall.

Once their eyes adjusted to the blinding light of the inside, they both raised gasps of admiration.

What they saw was a grand hall that neither of them had ever seen before in their entire lives. The floor was as white as snow and the ceiling was high above. A spiral staircase coiled up from the center of the room and connected to the upper levels.

It was the physical representation of the word 'elegance'.

Even youngsters like Rem and Shera could tell that the value of the objects here was beyond imagination.

''Now, follow me, I shall show you to your rooms.''

Rem's and Shera's gazes were flicking around the room until the deep voice of Ainz pulled them out of their gasping state. They were too surprised, to the point that for a moment they forgot how to speak and thus just silently nodded at Ainz's words and soon started following from behind him.

As they were led to their rooms, the trio walked past several magical items, magnificent paintings and statues that made both Rem and Shera gasp in awe at their brilliance.

It was as if they were in a palace.

Soon they arrived at their destination, which was a green, emerald door with a black doorknob that resembled a jet-black diamond on its end.

''You will be staying in this room for the night. This room contains a bathroom, kitchen and a bedroom with two beds.'' Said Ainz.

''W-What about y, you?'' Asked Rem with the forced words and a trembling voice.

''I'm undead, since I don't require sleep, I will be doing some more testing, I'll be seeing you in the morning.'' Answered Ainz reassuring the little pantherian, before he teleported away using the 5th tier [Teleportation] spell.

Rem was startled a little from seeing Ainz suddenly vanish like that, but soon regained her composure.

She had already realized that Ainz was a god-like being, thus something of this level was only to be expected.

''...H-Hey what are you looking at?'' Asked Rem in an angry voice after she noticed Shera looking at her with widened eyes.

''N-No, I, its nothing... I just thought that you're very brave.'' Answered Shera in a quiet voice.

Rem widened her eyes at Shera's words.

''N-No... I, I'm not that brave...'' Rem muttered quietly and then entered the room that Ainz had led them to, Shera followed her soon after.

What followed afterwards was two demi-human girls, from what seemed to be the medieval age, trying to figure out what a bathroom is.

The wind blew calmly making the emerald green grass dance beneath the starry night sky.

Some 200 meters further from the mighty tower of darkness, that stood proudly upon the dark grass plains, a ripple in the space could be felt, the space distorted for a moment and then went back to normal as if it had never happened before.

Though now, where once was but an empty space a skeletal being appeared.

it was Ainz.

He silently gazed at his surrounding for a couple of minutes.

''...It's calm...'' Muttered Ainz quietly before his gaze fell on the grass beneath him.

He gazed at that small patch of grass for a moment, and then placed his bony hands on his skeletal face before trembling in embarrassment.

''...G-Gods? Wisdom? What was all that about!?'' Screamed Ainz quietly as he recalled his previous actions that would have earned him a great scolding from some of his old comrades, especially the guild's strategist Ponitto Moe.

While one might think what was the problem currently stabbing the Overlord's nonexistent heart, it was actually the fact that he revealed so many of his abilities to two complete strangers that he was in this state.

In Yggdrasil, he would be long dead if he acted the way he did today.

Soon the green aura engulfed him, slowly calming him down.

After a moment, Ainz straightened his back, placed his bony hands on his sides and started mumbling to himself.

''It can't be helped, but still... damn it Ulbert...'' Angrily grumbled Ainz as he recalled his old guild mate.

For the last year and a half, Ulbert and Ainz were the two remaining members of 'Ainz Ooal Gown', though he too stopped showing up on Yggdrasil, it was only a month before the server shut-down.

The reason for Ainz's cursing... Let's just say that the good old guild mate had corrupted the poor skeleton.

Ulber Ailain Odle.

One of the 41 members of 'Ainz Ooal Gown' and the one hailed as the 'Demon of Great Disaster'.

He was one of the few holders of the [World Disaster] job class in all of Yggdrasil.

Though he was extremely powerful as he had access to the 'World Disaster magic', Ulbert's character wasn't good with prolonged battles, and he shone best only during battles in groups when he was being protected.

Among all the guild members of 'Ainz Ooal Gown', Ulbert was a person fixated on the word 'evil' the most. Since he suffered from Chuunibyou, he would often act in the manner of a typical villain.

Other than that, Ulbert also enjoyed what we would call 'Join the dark side'.

As one of the two last remaining members of their guild, Ulbert made sure to corrupt the poor Momonga with his 'evil', and one could say that he partially succeeded.

Momonga, now Ainz, had not only become careless with his words, but he would sometimes play the 'evil and powerful' himself.

''...I need to watch myself, I can't be slipping up like that... especially in a world as unpredictable as this.'' Muttered Ainz as he clenched his fist in determination before falling into deep thought.

And this world... I should probably check on how much of what she's told be thus far matches with the information that can be provided by 'that' guy's skill.

After a moment of re-organizing his inner thoughts, Ainz simply started to walk.

He walked in a straight line for at least 10 meters, and then stopped.

''Here should be fine.'' Muttered Ainz calmly.

He pulled a large leather book with golden edges out of his inventory.

The book itself looked very old and ancient, but the pages within seemed fresh and made of silver, there were some writing on its crimson cover as well, that said ''Tome of the Seven Sins''.

The book in question was actually a powerful 'World Class Item' that allowed its user to summon any type of demon or a fallen angel found in the game, it also revealed several items that were needed for permanent summoning, the item itself was rewarded to the first guild that had defeated all 7 of the 'Lords of the Seven Deadly Sins', that were each a powerful 'World Class Enemy' boss, meaning that the guild 'Ainz Ooal Gown' had been the first guild to have succeeded in this seemingly impossible quest.

For a second, Ainz recalled the insane battle that had taken place all those years ago when they fought the last of the 7 Lords of the Seven Deadly Sins, the Lord of Wrath.

He could still recall how Ponitto Moe, his old comrade and strategist of 'Ainz Ooal Gown', had raged after his strategy had gone awry when Wrath had used its bullshit ability that summoned a legion of over 1000 level 80 demons that were turned together with the boss itself completely immortal for an entire hour. It was such a bullshit ability that the poor guy had nearly quit the game as well as deleting his own character because of the expensive items that they had lost.

Actually, the only reason that they had managed to defeat Wrath was because of Ainz's monstrous mp bar that easily surpassed all of the 'Lords of the Seven Deadly Sins' mp put together, as well as him continuously casting [Greater Share Mana] in order to share mana with Ulbert after he had almost instantly depleted all of his mp on his tremendous firepower AOE spells. It was also the reason why this book was given to Ainz.

A small chuckle escaped Ainz as he reminisced of his old guild, but soon returned his attention to the book in his hands. He soon opened the book and calmly started drifting through it's silver pages until he stopped at one particular page.

In the place of the title was written ''Summoning of the Fallen Seraphs''.

Confirming the title, Ainz nodded in satisfaction.

Before he did anything else with the book, Ainz took something that resembled a black crystal out of his inventory and placed it on the ground.

''...Perfect.'' muttered Ainz.

After a minute of preparation, Ainz stepped back from the black crystal and read a certain text in the tome.

''...Hear my words and answer my call, obey me and follow my will till the ends of the world, [Summon High Tier Angel: Heavens Traitor]!''

After Ainz said those words, he looked at the crystal in anticipation.

What he saw was a shattered crystal slowly turning into purple particles of light and then slowly disappearing.

Once the black crystal was no more, a dark mist like orb appeared in its place, now floating mid air.

The dark orb started shaking wildly and soon it formed itself into a large, humanoid figure with six black wings on its back and an obsidian mask covering its face. It had long black hair and it seemed at least 3 meters tall. The being was holding a strange book with a black cover and no title on it in its pale hands.

The being in question was a level 100 [Heavens Traitor], a fallen angel that could only be summoned through the use of that particular stone that was called [Forgotten Stone] and the visually ancient book in Ainz's bony hands.

The [Forgotten Stone] was actually a super rare crystal that could only be obtained during a specific event quest that happens only once per month on a random location, which only made it a bigger pain in the ass for Ainz to find. This specific crystal allows a person to permanently summon super rare types of fallen angels similar to [Heavens Traitor]. Thankfully he and some of his friends had collected several of these super rare crystals or else he would be screwed right now. Currently he has over 200 such crystals just collecting dust in his inventory for god knows how long, thus he could easily afford using only one of them.

[Heavens Traitor] is a super rare high-level angel that has great divination and illusion spells, as well as great summoning spells and skills, though there were many types of fallen angels that had superior abilities in combat or magic such as the level 100 [Seraph Eater] or [Seraph of Decay], unlike them the [Heavens Traitor] had one particular ability that only it could use, and though it might not seem as the greatest of abilities for combat, in his current situation that particular ability was his saving grace.

The [Heavens Traitor] gazed at its surroundings for a moment, but immediately after noticing Ainz, the fallen angel softly landed upon the land and immediately knelt before him.

''I've come to serve thee o great Lord of Death.'' Said the angel in a deep, feminine voice as she addressed Ainz.

Holy shit, she can talk! W-Wait, great Lord of Death? What is that? Ainz thought in surprise.

In Yggdrasil, no, in no game could a summoned creature talk, though he had anticipated that something like this might happened since it was a real world, but it was surprising nonetheless, but what surprised him even more was the strange title that his summon had given him.

Lord of Death.

Is that what I am now? Lord of Death? No. Ainz quickly shook his head. He had other, more important thing to think about right now.

He looked at the kneeling angel and started re-thinking his next words, before addressing the angel.

''...I want you to use your ability [World Sensor] and find any entities that could possibly be on the same level as me.''

Without a second of delay, the angel gave a deep bow to her master before addressing him.

''It shall be done, my master.'' And with those words, the angel rose up and picked up the black book that she was holding just a second ago and activated her ability: ''[World Sensor]!''.

In the next instant the black book that the angel was holding instantly vanished with a loud WooooooOOOOSh, thus releasing a wave of magical energy that quickly spread throughout the entire world like a scanner, unnoticeable to even level 100 beings like Ainz.

After some time passed the fallen angel knelt before Ainz once more, before addressing him.

''...It has been done my master.''

''Good job, do tell me what you've discovered.'' Said Ainz in a calm voice hiding his anticipation.

The kneeling angel simply nodded and then spoke.

''I have confirmed the existence of 10 beings that could potentially rival you in this world, my master.'' Said the angel calmly.

T-Ten? Thought Ainz before contemplating if this is a good thing or a bad one without even doubting the angel's words.

[World Sensor].

An ability that only the [Heavens Traitor], the wielder of all knowledge can use.

It was an ability that no player could ever hope to learn.

This skill was a one time use only and it was one of the few super rare skills that could cover an entire world map.

This ability, once activated, can find any person, location or just like a moment ago, an exact amount of high level entities on the entire plane.

And this was the only ability that could not be countered even by using 'World Class Items', unless the World Item possesses some specific ability that counters such skills, but the existence of such an item in this world was very unlikely.

This was truly an ability deserving of a super rare summon like the level 100 [Heavens Traitor] that was currently kneeling before Ainz.

After thinking for a moment, he spoke once more.

''...A-Are they all l, level 100?'' Asked Ainz in a calm tone, trying to hide his nervousness.

''No, my master. Most of them are around level 80 and above, the strongest one could rival a level 90 at best. Though the most of them are on a completely different continent, I still detected a one of those ten entities on this very same continent, from what I've detected so far, I can confirm that this entity would rival a level 85 being at best, my master. About 99% of this world's inhabitants are level 10 and above, though I did detect some beings around level 50 or 60, they seem to be trapped or imprisoned some places across the continent.'' Said the angel with a stoic expression.

''Trapped? What do you mean by that?'' Asked Ainz unsure on what to make of that.

''These entities emit a lot of powerful dark energy and they all seem very similar, but different at the same time. Its as if they are all originating from a single, powerful entity, but I cannot be sure of what they are, but I can sense powerful magical energy containing them, Its as if they have been sealed away. There was one such entity at least 200 meters from us in that direction.'' Said the angel with a calm voice as she started pointing in the direction of the tower that Ainz had summoned.

Ainz noticed where the angel was pointing at, which was the dark tower that Ainz had summoned with his 10th tier [Create Fortress] spell, and then looked back at the angel.

''...W-What do you mean? The tower?'' He asked.

''There seems to be a soul of a powerful being rivaling a level 65 sealed within one of the two female demi-humans that are currently residing within the tower.'' Said the angel as she pointed at the tower once more.

''...T-Thank you, I'll look into that myself, but level 65, huh...'' Said Ainz as he thought of what the angel said.

Though I know that the angel can't lie to me, its still unbelievable that one of those two could contain such a being, how did I not notice it before, no, I did notice, back when I asked Rem about the Demon lords, I remember that aside from her grim reaction, I recall feeling something strange, something strong, but I'm not sure, could that explain it? But still... There was no skill like that in Yggdrasil, sealing a demon inside of another character. Though a level 65 could hardly even scratch me, I'll still have to be cautious, I bet it was that God who Rem told me about that did it. I can't imagine anyone else being capable of such feat, heck even I couldn't pull off something like sealing someone into a whole 'nother being!

But despite all of these Demon lords and other high level beings in this world as well as the mysteries surrounding the,, Ainz, if he were still but a mortal man, would have breathed a huge sigh of relief. It seems that there isn't really anything to fear, for now at least.

''You've done a great job that shall help me in my future plans, thank you.'' Said Ainz as he thanked the angel for its hard work.

Hearing her master's words, the angel shifted slightly and addressed him in a trembling voice.

''N-No, my master, I am undeserving of your praise, I live to serve you!'' Shouted the angel before shutting her mouth tight with both of her beautiful pale hands as she realized that she had yelled at her master.

''Hmmm... live to serve me, you say...'' Muttered Ainz quietly that only he could hear before once again falling into deep thought.

Now that i think about it, I am just a salary man, I've never ever though of myself as some boss even during my time as the guild master of 'Ainz Ooal Gown', thus I cannot help but feel weird being called 'master'. But if I wan't to conquer this world, then I will most definitely need an army, I should probably start acting as a proper superior, even to a level 100 being such as the [Heavens Traitor]. I'll have to train my acting skills if I wan't to do this though~, but still... If I want to be a good boss, then I should probably start by rewarding my subordinates. Like the angel, even if she is but a summon, she is still a subordinate nonetheless and for using her most powerful, one time use only, skill, she is most certainly deserving of a reward.

With these thought in his mind, Ainz addressed the fallen angel with a kind tone.

''No, You do deserve praise, more than that, you deserve a reward. You did use your [World Sensor] that is a one time use skill after all, so tell me, what is your desire?'' Said Ainz with his crimson flames focused at the large figure that seemed to tremble all over.

The angel fell silent for a moment as she contemplated on how to answer her master's question, though she herself did not believe to be worthy of a reward, she felt that further arguing would be pointless, thus she answered with her deepest feelings.

''My only desire is to serve the Supreme Being, but if i would be allowed for a reward, then please grant this one a name.'' Spoke the angel.

''A name? Is that all? Then of course, I shall grant you a glorious name!'' Said Ainz with great confidence, though on the inside he was slightly panicked.

A name? I've never even talked to other girls besides the few from 'Ainz Ooal Gown', and never have I actually named one! What do I do now? She probably expects some glorious name that only a 'Supreme Being' can think of! Think dammit, think! Ainz raged through his memories trying to recall every angelic name that he had ever heard of before. He started to slowly fall into defeat, but then it came, the name of that angel, the angel of wisdom, the angel npc from his first ever quest that he had done before even joining the guild 'Ainz Ooal Gown'!

''...Y, Your name shall be Uriel, the angel of Wisdom!'' Proclaimed Ainz with fake confidence that hid his nervousness.

The fallen angel made an even deeper bow and addressed her master.

''I thank you for the glorious name that you have bestowed upon me, my master, please let me swear an even deeper devotion to your will!'' Exclaimed the angel with her head almost touching the grown.

Though Ainz seemed to be taking her exclamation calmly, on the inside he was not.

W-What am I supposed to say to her? U-Ugh... Just say something You fool!

''U-Umu, I look forward to it.'' Said Ainz trying to hide his uneasiness.

''Yes, my master!'' Passionately answered the kneeling angel.

''Now then, I am planing on visiting the Faltra frontier city that is not too far from here. I'll be heading out in the morning, and since I won't be traveling alone, I need you to follow and guard me from afar. Once we reach the city, I'll give you your next orders from there, understood?''

''Yes, my master!'' Answered the angel.

''Oh, and seeing as there are still a couple hours until the morning comes, let us do some hunting.'' Said Ainz with small excitement hidden in his voice, that was soon followed by an evil chuckle.

The angel nodded in understanding and soon followed Ainz as he went in the direction of the nearest forest.

Not too far from the Starfall Tower, at least two kilometres ahead, a thick forest could be seen.

Though the forest might've seemed very calm for a fantasy world where magic and monsters exist, while in fact it was not.

The inside of the forest was filled with all kinds of monsters and dangerous animals, but Ainz recognized none of them.

While he calmly walked through the thick forest, Uriel followed from behind him and using her high tier detection spells and skills, she continued to inform her master about the exact amount and level of all the beings in a near 5 kilometre radios, as well as their races, which Ainz did not recognize.

''...I've detected a level 53 Giant Snake approaching us from the front, my master.'' Said Uriel at which Ainz nodded.

''Level 53, that would be around level 16 by Yggdrasil standards, right?'' Asked Ainz trying to differ the level difference between this world's and that of Yggdrasil's.

''Yes, you are correct, my master.'' Affirmed the angel.

''I guess I should try out creating an undead out of it.'' Said Ainz as he thought about what kind of undead would he be able to create by using a being of another world, of a beast that did not exist in Yggdrasil.

Sure there were giant snakes in Yggdrasil too, but after seeing the monsters of this world, even the ones that resemble the ones from Yggdrasil, they are still different and much weaker.

Though he had though of trying to create undead by using his skills out of the other creatures that he had encountered during the last two hours that he had spent on killing the monsters of this forest, he had decided not to since they had been far too low leveled.

He had hoped of finding something of at least level 40, but even that was just wishful thinking, during the last hour he had slowly lowered his standards to the point that he now hoped to encounter at least a level 20 monster, no, even that could only be thought of as a miracle in Ainz's case.

That's why, seeing as the morning will arrive in but one hour, Ainz decided to finally test his skills on a level 16 creature, since he had not encountered a stronger being thus far, and even Uriel had affirmed that after using her [World Sensor], that was nearly impossible to counter, she had not not detected any being above level 85 on the entire continent.

This entire world is like a low level area for Yggdrasil standards. Ainz couldn't help but sigh at such thought.

Soon the Giant Snake arrived and tried to attack Ainz, but just as soon it fell on the grown lifelessly, like a puppet whose strings had been cut, after Ainz had activated his [Aura of Despair V] skill that had a high chance of causing Instant-Death.

'Aura of Despair'.

A set of racial skills of an 'Overlord' racial class that ranked from I to V.

'Aura of Despair I' has a chance of causing fear. Fear is an abnormal status that makes one afraid, which inflicts a penalty to all actions. Besides inflicting fear, it can reduce the stats of its victims.

'Aura of Despair II' has a chance of causing Panic. Panic is a more severe version of Fear, caused by stacking additional Fear effects on each other. Anyone afflicted by that status will want to flee the ability user at all costs. In other words, they will be unable to take any combat-related actions against that person.

'Aura of Despair III' has a chance of causing Confusion. This can only happen if the target does not have any recovery measures prepared, because without them the target would remain in a state of confusion.

'Aura of Despair IV' has a chance of causing Insanity. Insanity is an extremely annoying bad status, being permanent version of Confusion. And what makes it even worse is that it cannot be removed without magic from the third party.

And finally 'Aura of Despair V', which has a chance of causing Instant-Death.

Though these abilities by themselves sound very dangerous, and so they are, but that might be so only for the most inhabitants of this world, since in Yggdrasil most players had at least some sort of countermeasures against them.

Especially Fear. The Fear status could be resisted the most out of all of them with either high tier equipment, spells, items or skills.

Ainz had been testing this skill for the last twenty minutes now and was confident in his ability to freely control it.

After learning of the levels of this world as well as the effects of his skills, Ainz had decided that using them would be very dangerous and if not controlled, then it would quickly get very, very bad.

After practicing for over two hours now, Ainz was confident in his control over most of his abilities, thus decided that special ability suppression items will not be needed, because if he had to use any of such items, then they would have to occupy some of his equipment slots.

Ainz looked down at the unmoving body of the Giant Snake and soon activated his other racial skill.

''...[Create Mid-Tier Undead: Death Knight]!''

Soon a pitch black mist escaped from his bony arms and enveloped the snake's corpse.

Not even a second passed when the black mist that now had completely covered the monster's corpse started to change shape, from a giant dead snake into a powerful knight that was wearing a jet-black armor with a towering shield and a rippled sword, its skin was burnt and instead of eyes, the being had, similar to Ainz, two empty eye sockets with two crimson flames flickering from within.

The being in question was a [Death Knight], a level 35 undead creature that was very well versed in defense but weaker in offense.

There was no particular reason for as to why had he chosen to summon this specific undead except for the fact that this was the first type of undead that came to mind when trying out his skill, also, this specific undead was one of his favorite ones as they had the special ability to survive pretty much any type of critical attack that could possibly chip down all of their HP.

The [Death Knight] noticing Ainz, no, it didn't even have to notice him, knelt before him and spoke in a deep broken and hoarse voice.

''I.. HavE CoME.. tO ServVE yOu.. foR.. ETerNItY.. My LoRd!''

''Eh?'' Was all that escaped Ainz's nonexistent lips in surprise, but that was no surprise born from hearing his summoned undead creature speak, that was absolutely impossible back in the game, but instead from the fact that it said eternity.

W-Wait... did I hear that right? He said that he'll be serving me for 'eternity'? Does that mean that I now have the ability to summon permanent undead, that would be impossible to do in Yggdrasil? Doesn't that mean that creating an army will be much easier now!? Hell yeah! W-Wait a second! I need to check if this is true...

''Wait a minute. Did you just say 'for eternity'? Does that mean that you are now permanently summoned and will not disappear after a time limit?'' Asked Ainz the still kneeling undead.

Without even a second of delay the undead knight answered confidently to his master.

''YeS.. iT SEeMS.. tO.. Be thE caSe.. mY MAstEr.''

''But how is this possible? Is it because of the use of a body?'' Asked Ainz wanting to clear his doubts quickly, so they wouldn't hinder his plans.

''It.. sEemS.. To bE.. THe CaSE.. My MasTer... tHis.. BODy... CoUld bE tHe CauSe.. of mY.. plEDgE.'' Affirmed the kneeling [Death Knight] to his master's question.

Hearing this, Ainz felt happy, no, more then that, he felt excited.

He didn't feel excited about the new possibility that could allow him to potentially create pretty much endless legions of undead, but instead... he could feel his excitement slowly boil within him at just the mere thought of getting closer to his ultimate goal of world conquest, which, of course, was all in the name of Ainz Ooal Gown.

This was the beginning of a new era, and Ainz would be at its very center.
