Special Chapter: The Arc Who Laughs!

The Screen Turned on and DJ then appeared and everyone looked to him. Everyone saw that DJ/Jaune looked saddened, this brought a lot to wonder why he would be saddened

"DJ?" Ruby called "Are you ok?" She asked

DJ looked to her, "Sorta, This Universe is actually a different timeline, and let us just say that it's not a pretty one" DJ/Jaune told them

"Why is that?" Yang asked "please tell me it isn't like the one with Velvet"

"No, this one is worse than that one" DJ/Jaune said

On the screen, it appeared to be at a table in a single lit room, the table was stainless steel and from the shadows stepped out a man who wore spiked black and silver armor that covered every part of his body except for his hands, nose, and mouth, his skin was white as snow and the only thing you could see on the person's face was a twisted wide grin, and his eyes were by a spiked visor, that seemed to also go over his white hair. He sat down across from the screen and looked to the screen.

When he did it made everyone feel uneasy, even Salem felt like she was talking to the dark again. She remembered being in the god's presence, which made her legs so weak, even thinking about made her feel uneasy.

"He can't see us right?" Nora asked

DJ/Jaune didn't reply.

The man then pulled out a deck of cards and lied them on the desk, he then picked up a card and looked back to the screen. his smile never disappearing from his face

"I know your scared right now" Began the Man "You don't need to pretend, I can see you trembling! You don't know why I brought you here but you know the answer can't be good, and your right! It's not!"

"Who is this guy?" Coco asked

"I don't know and honestly... I don't wanna know, This guy... He looks evil, eviler and twisted than any Grimm I've seen" Tai said

"Yeah... Even just looking at the guy makes me wanna fall to my knees and cry" Winter said

"Jesus at first I thought they were exaggerating, but honestly, this man scares me more than Salem" Mercury Told Emerald

Cinder heard this but decided not to comment as she as well as the others in Salem's faction were scared, however, she also noticed how even Salem herself looked frightened.

"You really thought you had it all figured out, that you knew every combination in the deck! and it would thrill you every time you were right when the hand came down in a familiar pattern... a familiar story!" The man said again

"About an Outsider who can see the good in all of us," He said as he then put a card down, which had an image of Ruby holding the Relic of Knowledge with a bright light shining behind her

Ruby felt uneasy

"About how we all have the power to fight for what's right," He said as he set down another card over Ruby's, this one now had an image of Blake with the original White-Fang Flag wrapped around her

Blake looked at the card and felt a shiver come across her whole body

"Or how we can each overcome our darkest moments," The man said again as he placed a third card on top of Blake's and it had an image of both Weiss and Yang rising from a dark pit

This made both also feel uneasy by being mentioned by the Man

"But this isn't one of those stories! There are familiar parts but they're all in the wrong places! And there's nothing more frightening than when all the cards layout just right..." The man began, he then took out the fourth card and lied it on the three It was an image of a Broken moon "But then another card comes and changes the meaning of the entire hand... and there's no way to know what's going to happen next!"

The scene changed to show the burning City of Atlas, buildings burned and there were bodies everywhere, and even people committing horrible acts on another. Finally, within the academy, Salem had Ruby Under her feet, while Weiss, Blake, and Yang were being held down by Beowulfs as well as ORNJ, The dead Bodies of Qrow, Ironwood, Penny, Maria, Clover, Harriet, Robyn, Fiona, May, and Joanna were all piled up and being eaten by an Ursa.

Ruby looked away from the sight as did everyone else, except for the villains, eventually, some looked back at the screen. Everyone wondered how such a possible future existed, but it was likely due to their own.

"Is this all you Hero's have to offer?" Salem asked "Pitiful"

Salem then turned the Relic of Creation around and pointed the Blade at Ruby, "I think It's time to end this little game" Salem said

She raised the handle up in the air to go for the killing blow on Ruby.

"NO!" Jaune cried

Jaune Shook free from the Beowulf and he quickly grabbed the Relic from Salem's hands before turning it on her and stabbing her right in the chest, causing her to bleed out, but it wasn't her usual Black Blood, it was red.

"H-How?" Salem croaked "How is this possible!?" Salem cried

Jaune had no idea how he did it either, but he drove it deeper into her chest as a black mist left her chest and rose up into the air and around Jaune. Salem Screamed in Pain and the whiteness of her skin, as well as the black veins, disappeared from her, her eyes returned to their original color of light blue. Finally, she fell to the ground dead. Suddenly, the Beowulfs howled and every Grimm retreated from Atlas as they felt fear from having their master fall, even a Giant whale Grimm flew away from the Kingdom. Jaune just looked at everyone before he fainted.

"Jaune did it! We won!" Nora cried

Despite what everyone was feeling, they smiled at knowing that they won.

"No, You didn't," Salem said

"What are you talking about!? They killed the other version of you! they won!" Ruby said

"Wrong, you forgot what the man at the beginning of this world said, this isn't one of those stories" Cinder reminded them

Suddenly, the theater became cold, as everyone remembered the man, which brought so much fear into the theater.

The screen said that a month had passed and things seemed to be returning to normal. Atlas was rebuilt, Ozpin's task was completed and he left Oscar's body and everyone was in peace, there wasn't even a Grimm attack in any of the Kingdoms. However, Something was wrong with Jaune, he had left after he was able to leave the hospital, telling them that he was going to be staying at a local village. Nora and Ren went to go check on him since they haven't heard from him at all, which worried everyone. They arrived at the address that Jaune had given everyone.

"You think he's ok?" Nora asked

"I'm sure he is, he just needed time to himself," Ren said "we've all been through a lot"

"Yeah, your right" Nora said with a smile

They arrived at the house and Nora knocked on it, There was no answer so she knocked again and this time she got a response

"Ren? Nora? What are you doing here!?" Jaune cried from behind the door

"We just came to check up on you Jaune," Ren said

There was no answer from their leader, but then the door opened but Jaune moved away from the door as well as the light that shined in "Come in" Said Jaune

They walked in and indeed saw that the entire place was dark, the windows were covered up the lights were broken.

"Jaune? Is everything alright?" Nora asked

"Yeah... No... Look, I've hadn't felt myself in awhile" Jaune said from the shadows

"Jaune, Look, we know that you're going through things but remember that we're here for you," Nora said

"Nora's right, we've noticed how you've been acting lately and were concerned," Ren said

"You guys are right, you are the only ones who would notice if something was wrong with me... and you would tell everyone else, right? if something was wrong right?" Jaune asked

"Somethings off..." Pyrrha said

"I feel it too," Ren told her

"Of course, we're all here for you Jaune," Ren said

"Yes, I know..." Jaune said as he slowly stepped out of the shadows "But I can't allow that" Jaune said

Suddenly, both Nora and Ren were blown away by an explosion that erupted from the farthest part of the house, both flew out of it and they landed at the ground. There Aura had stopped them dying, but now, it was trained, leaving them vulnerable

"what the hell just happened!?" Cried, Yang

"HAHAHAHAHA!" came laughter

Everyone in the theater froze, the laughter made Tyrians sound cute if that was even possible

The two looked behind them to see Jaune, but he was different, his air was snow white and his eyes were the color of Grimm and His skin now pale as snow, he resembled Salem, except he had no black veins. He wore a smile that was twisted and it stretched his face

"No way..." Ruby said

"it was him... he was the guy at the beginning..." Salem said with both fear and astonishment

"J-J-Jaune?" Nora croaked out in fear

"That's me!" Jaune cried out "New and Improved!"

"Jaune, what the hell is going on!?" Ren cried "How did this happen!?"

"Salem... that black mist, turned out it was Grimm essence in the purest form," Jaune told him "I was able to fight off the infection for a while, but it was too much, I became Grimm, I became... powerful!"

However before the two could say anything else, Jaune pulled out a dust Machine gun and unloaded on them, killing them in an instant

Everyone was shocked as they couldn't believe what they were seeing. Nora ran to the bathroom to throw up and Ren followed her just to see if she was ok. No one knew what to think as they saw their dear friend become a psychopathic killer.

The screen changed to show the halls of Atlas academy covered in blood. The bodies of the rest of the Ace Ops were disfigured, some were burned, others were completely torn apart. Meanwhile, the bodies of Salem's old faction was completely dead, Watts had his head caved in by a robot, Hazel was gutted, Tyrian was poisoned and he bled out from his eyes and nose until his face was purple, however, Cinder, along with Mercury and Emerald was not there.

"think we escaped?" Emerald asked

"I doubt it..." Cinder told her

Ruby was slammed against the wall, one of her eyes was missing and she looked in front of her. There standing in his new armor was Jaune, he held the head of Weiss by the braid as he swung it around like a yoyo

Weiss was about to puke as well now that she had that image stuck in her head

"I never understood why Snow Angel kept her hair like this? It's not a good hairstyle to have when fighting Grimm" Jaune told her idly "then again, Yag wasn't a good example of this either, I mean She was one of the toughest people in our group, she always use to talk that big talk back then, but how did I kill her? A simple stab with Blakes weapon through her stomach and the jobs done" Jaune said with a chuckle

"Jaune... y-you don't need to do this" Ruby begged him with a sob

"I know, but I want to, I never realized what it was like, why Salem and her pawns fought, but Now I do, however, They were also wrong," Jaune said "Salem wanted world domination? Cliche! Cinder wanted power? Cliche! I swear it was like reading a comic book!" Jaune cried

He picked up Ruby again and then pulled out a knife, he then slightly caressed it against her face as he smiled

"They weren't thinking on larger scales! They thought too small!" Jaune cried "while I? I know what I want!" Jaune said "And I want it all to burn away! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" Jaune laughed

You won't win... once the world knows what you did... they'll fight back" Ruby told him

"Good, what Fun would it be if they didn't?" Jaune chuckled

"He's fucking Insane," Qrow said

"Maybe... but would an insane person be able to kill everyone in Atlas?" Ironwood asked

Qrow thought about it, "No... if he was really insane he would've gotten caught awhile ago"

"But now I want to see if there's a breaking point to the great Ruby Rose," He said "After all... there was a breaking point to them"

Jaune motioned behind him and out from the hallway appeared Cinder, Mercury, and Emerald. However, they were different. Cinder had a Borbusk Head stitched into her, and she only had on a bra and Panties, her skin was exposed which shoed scars, and even muscle sticking out. Mercury had Beowulf's legs and half of his face was covered with the face of an Apathy Grimm, not to mention that he only had one arm as the other was now replaced with a Uras arm, emerald was the only one kept on a chain and she too was only in her bra and panties, her scars weren't as severe as the others but she also had a latex Beowulf Gimp mask, but what's worse was that she wore a barbwire crown.

Said three villains were in actual horror and they felt their stomachs turn ant the sight.

"I know your out enemies, but even I don't wish for that to happen to you," Ruby told them

"Thanks... I guess" Emerald replied

"Jesus, this kid really went overboard," Watts said

"Indeed, he is worse than any person I've ever met," Hazel said

Finally, the screen returned to the scene from the beginning, however, this time it was now facing a girl wrapped in bandages. It was Ruby, and only her eyes and nose were visible, she sat in a wheelchair

"You see Ruby... When I was Jaune Arc, I thought I could be prepared for anything and I would be ok! but I was wrong" Jaune told her "Ozpin and Salem? they were trapped in an unwinnable game that would've had no end! No one would've won!" Jaune cried

He then walked to her and pulled her away from the table and wheeled her down the hall, wherein each room were people who he could torture, people he could play with.

"You see Ruby, to win, you must adapt, and to adapt, you need to laugh away all the restraints! Everything that is holding you back!" Jaune cried with a smile "Because you see Ruby, an Arc who laughs..."

He opened her door only for her to be surrounded with the rotting corpses of her friends and family hung around her by chains and hooks, Ruby squirmed and she screamed but they were muffled

"IS AN ARC WHO WINS! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"

The screen turned black but the laughter was still heard.

Everyone in the theater was at a loss for words, no one said nothing. How could they, they had seen true horror...

A/N: I had just read "The Batman Who Laughs" and I was In love with the character, But then again who wasn't In love with him! Not to mention I really love his Spiked Visor.

I had decided That I'll do some special chapters in between main chapters, The next one is going to be my choice. but you can recommend special chapters if you want.
