Chapter 3 : Roaming Death, Zenathus

"DIE!"

Zenathus roared at the impudent creature who intruded on his territory.

This is the Mabinogian Woods. The forest said to be abundant to all the resources that any races will ever need ot want to have. It is also the third largest forest of the whole Agretheia, the name of this continent.

But even with this myth, no one have any claims to this forest. Why is that?

It is because of the many Mythical Grade beings who are residing on this forest.

One of those beings is this dragon. Called by many titles like the Green Dragon Monarch, the Green Scaled Calamity, Destroyer of Wills. But he was better known on the myths as Roaming Death, Zenathus.

Beings like him who lived before the dawn of civilization can already be said to be the strongest beings in this world. Capable of rending mountains like paper, splitting the skies with a roar, causing whirlwinds with a simple flap of his wings. There are many things that he can do.

What's the scariest though is that Zenathus is intelligent. He acquired this intelligence through his long experience on life. He also can use magic that was already thought to be extinct in this world.

He was also very proud and greedy. He doesn't want any beings getting into his territory. Attacking them and killing them. Taking all of their belongings into him.

Everything in his domain is his. Even the soil that the people are stepping on is also his. Without his permission, no one can step or even take anything in there. They will die if they try to even cross the area where he declared his domain as his.

He is called the Roaming Death because if someone sees him, they will already die. No one can contest him with that.

Only other Mythical Beings can be his match. Their fight would always destroy a whole region and still, not one of them will be killed. Because they are too strong so even if they fight each other, they will just get tired on it and will withdraw to fight for the next time.

This battle always spans from a month to even a whole decade. And each of their battle are always destructive, leaving a wasteland on their wake with every single attack they release.

So with the arrogance of the strong and the confidence that this girl will die like an insect being crushed, he causes reality to shift and let the space destroy the girl into tiny bits.

The space compressed around the blonde haired girl with the weird wings and he thought she was already finish. He was surprised when suddenly, the space that was slowly crushing the girl into a single point stops the space itself and then she rip it out.

She rip it out using only her bare hands.

"WHAT!?"

Zenathus was surprised at that.

The Green Dragon-san attacks first so I will be returning the favor.

First though, I should take care of this weird invisible thingy that was trying to crush me.

I focused my eyes and then see "It". The tension point of this invisible wall.

Then I grab it and split it apart.

It was very easy to do so. Though we are forbidden to use our true powers, this rude Dragon-san uses his so I will also use mine. It's fair like that!

He is not even using Danmaku. Using a pattern that was undodgeable, shame on him!

"Green Dragon-san, that's unfair! The red Miko will scold you if you don't fight properly!" I scolded him with a pout.

Maybe Green Dragon-san was still new to Gensokyo so he did that to me?

Good thing I am here. As his senior, I will be teaching him how Gensokyo works!

"SO YOU THINK YOU ARE CAPABLE? HOW ABOUT THIS!"

It seems like Green Dragon-san wasn't listening at all and he uses his large claws to strike me.

That was so rude!

While feeling mad at how he just ignored me, I jumped just before his claws hits me. I heard a large crash behind me but I ignored that for now and focus in my counterattack.

First, I kick him in his belly when I was just falling in his side.

Hard.

"GUOOO! TO THINK YOU CAN MAKE ME FEEL PAIN!"

He said something which I didn't mind because I turn my gaze on my back to see what happened behind me when I was just planning to kick him.

Then I froze.

My room was destroyed. My room that I was just standing on awhile ago was destroyed.

And this rude green dragon was the one who did it.

"YOUR WIDE OPE-!?"

"Shut up"

I stopped him with a single slash. I hold my burning blade with my hands while trembling.

I am trembling in anger.

What should I do? Onee-san will get mad if she saw that my room was destroyed!

I am sure she will understand if I told her who did it right?

For now, I will discipline this rude oversized lizard!

With Laevateinn in my hand, I finally turned in his direction.

"You destroyed my room"

"WHAT ARE YOU MUTTERING ABOUT!?"

I saw him with his belly cut wide open. He was deeply wounded with my blade.

Though he was talking to me, it doesn't matter because...

"For that, you must die"

I want to kill him!

"ARROGANT!"

Zenathus roared before using his full power.

Using his Dimensional Magic, he causes the whole area to split into many pieces. This magic is called Multidimensional Rend. The ability to cause rips on dimensions in a single area.

But even though he did that, like a joke, the girl just dodged his magic with a speed incomparable to any beings in this world.

He can still see how she moves. It was still manageable. Still, a movement like that already broke through the pinnacle of humanity. Her movements are as fast as lightning. Because he was a Mythical Dragon so he can still see her with his dynamic vision but if it was the others, they won't even see her shadow when she moves.

Sensing that it will be dangerous if the girl got near him, he made a multilayered magic using a lot of his mana.

And then he also prepared to cause the weather to change and let thunder strikes the girl.

But before he can even change the weather, his multilayered magical barrier broke all at the same time and the blonde haired girl was already besides him with her burning weirdly shaped lance.

Then she slashes him and then burned him at the same time.

"GUAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!"

Zenathus screamed in pain as he felt his whole being burning.

He was burning because Flandre uses Laevateinn's ability, to burn.

Right now, not just the dragon, but everything in the 200 meters behind Zenathus were also burning as trees fell, like it was cut by a giant sword.

Zenathus teleported to the skies by just his instincts. He was still roaring in pain when he did this.

Then he looks around and saw that the portion of the forest is burning. He can't find the girl anymore.

And then he felt someone standing in his head. He wanted to look up but he can't.

Because Flandre already uses her power to destroy him.

Without knowing how it happened, Zenathus ceases to exist. Not to be seen by this world anymore.

Even though he was a Mythical Dragon, he can't resist someone who have the absolute power to destroy anything. He have many resistances and immunities. He wasn't even supposed to be cut even by Adamantium.

But Flandre's weird lance (which is truly a sword) was a mythical weapon wielded by Surtr. The sword that engulfs the whole world into flames.

Even with the resistance to resist even the flames of hell, a flame that can burn the world can't be resisted by his scales. Also, the weapon she is wielding is made of something even stronger than a mere Adamantite. In fact, it was totally capable of killing a god.

And then there is Flandre herself. Born as one of the strongest even compared to her kin, she can move so fast not even Reimu and Marisa can keep up with her speed. Only the speedsters on Gensokyo can cope up with the speed of the Scarlet Sisters.

Remilia was also very fast but Flandre was more so. She is that special compared to her sister.

There is also her ability. It cannot be resisted no matter who they are. In fact, this is why she was locked up in her room because her power is that dangerous. She is capable of destroying anything, no matter what it is.

So with this, Zenathus have no chance of winning. Also, due to his arrogance, he didn't use all his tricks and experiences that he accumulated in all his years and let his ego rise when fighting Flandre.

His pride and arrogance resulted in his downfall.

It was afternoon now but my room won't come back anymore.

That stupid big lizard destroyed my room.

But what to do with this. I broke someone again. Onee-san would be angry with me and the red white Miko might also beat me up if she learned about this.

I can beat her just fine but Onee-san said that it would be bad if the red white Miko became broken. So I am hokding myself back whenever we fought.

Uuuu... this is bad. I don't have a room anymore... what should I do now?

"... Right, maybe I should find our manor and explain to my Onee-san what happened. She might scold me but it's better than having no place to stay at all. Right, that's what I'll do!"

Finally, I thought of a good idea so I immediately prepared for leaving this area.

It was a waste because my room was destroyed but I need to find my house first. I can't sleep outside like this. Onee-san said it's inappropriate for a vampire like us.

I go to the area where I always pick up the crimson fruits so I can have a meal while I was walking but I froze when I look at there.

Ah... I just remembered. I burned those trees...

I am sure this is that stupid lizard's fault!
