Hiiiiiii! I was so happy when someone requested scenes where F4 cared for Ga Eul as a friend, because this small piece was also in the works!
I've been wanting to write some Ga Eul and Woo Bin fluff for a very long time : )
Enjoy!
Woo Bin had been glued to his desk for an hour, poring over the huge stack of papers his father had brought to his office. He consoled himself with the idea that no matter how busy he was, Jun Pyo surely had it worse.
Jun Pyo was currently in New York. He had left about a year ago for the sake of Shin Hwa Group. His failed engagement with JK Group's Jae Kyung had slightly damaged his company's corporate reputation and he had felt it his duty to try his best to save his business, but most importantly, he didn't want his future offspring to grow up in the toxic environment he had lived in for so long. Woo Bin had been astonished to know his friend would be spending the next four years away from Jan Di but then again, Jun Pyo wasn't the spoiled brat he once knew anymore.
Yi Jeong had also moved to Stockholm to pursue his pottery studies and speed up his hand injury recovery. Just like Jun Pyo, he would be back in three years.
Yi Jeong never talked much about his personal affairs but Woo Bin was sure something had changed between him and Ga Eul. He deemed their goodbye hug at the airport too long to be just friendly. Unfortunately, Woo Bin had caught Yi Jeong doing more than just hugging girls before, but this time Woo Bin had found it to be a whole new level of intimacy. Woo Bin had almost fled the scene, feeling as if he shouldn't have been watching. He had stayed only because he hadn't wanted to embarrass poor Ga Eul.
There was also the small favor Yi Jeong had asked for.
He hadn't been surprised at all to see Jun Pyo ask Ji Hoo to watch over his girlfriend, but he had never thought, not even once, that Yi Jeong would request him to take good care of Ga Eul for him.
He was more than fine with it. Ga Eul was a nice girl, he actually enjoyed her company. He visited her regularly to see how she was doing. What she would never have guessed is that two of his men were following her every step.
It would have been easier to keep track of her if she had accepted her scholarship to attend Shin Hwa University, but prideful country-bumpkin-at-heart Ga Eul had refused. If she ever got into such a prestigious college it would be on her own merits, not because she was friends with F4.
He was about to sign a document when his phone started ringing in his pocket. He glanced down at the caller ID that showed 'Ginger'. The name sounded familiar, but he couldn't pinpoint who it was. Still, he was annoyed. He had neither the time, nor the desire to fool around with girls at six o'clock on Monday morning. Living up to his Don Juan reputation, he answered the phone as smoothly as possible.
"Hello?"
"Oppa!" He winced from the ear-piercing shriek at the other end of the line.
"Yes? Can I help you with something?" That was just his way of telling her to get straight to the point.
"There's someone in Yi Jeong oppa's studio!" She shouted.
"Yi Jeong is in Sweden," he stated matter-of-factly.
"I know! Someone must have broken into his studio!"
Okay, now he was concerned. It couldn't be Yi Jeong's father. As far as he knew, his friend had changed the locks right before leaving precisely so his dad wouldn't use his studio as his love nest in his absence.
"Are you sure?"
"Yes, the lights are on! Hurry up, oppa!"
He grabbed his jacket and car keys and ran out of his office.
.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.
The front door was luckily open so he didn't have to use one of the many questionable tricks he had learnt from his profession.
He was impressed to find Ga Eul there, hunched over Yi Jeong's potter's wheel forming a vessel with her hands. She was humming a tune, deeply focused. He recognized the song, Haru Haru by BIGBANG. Maybe he shouldn't have been so surprised. It made perfect sense to see her there after all.
"Hello, Ga Eul-yang," he greeted her, a sheepish grin spread over his face. He had just taken her for a burglar who had broken into Yi Jeong's studio to steal his art. He prayed the other three F4 members never found out, because he would never hear the end of it if they ever did.
"Oh, sunbae!" Startled, she jumped to her feet, nearly destroying the vase in the process. She stared at her work, frozen with shock. She breathed a sigh of relief when she realized she hadn't damaged it. "You scared me."
"Ooops. Sorry."
"It's okay, sunbae," she smiled cheerfully at him, her messy bun slowly unraveling. "I would give you a hug, but..." She held out her hands dirty with clay.
"I'm good," he chuckled, amused by her fun spirit. "Did Yi Jeong give you a spare key?"
"Hmmm," she nodded, pulling a pair of keys out of her apron pocket and dangling it in front of him. Woo Bin smiled in response, thinking Yi Jeong cared about her way more than he had initially thought if he had dared to do such a thing. "So sunbae," she said and he could sense a sudden uneasiness in her voice. "What do you think?"
"What?"
"The pot," she clarified, chewing her lower lip. "What do you think?"
"Oh," he blinked and looked at her vase. It wasn't bad, actually. She had got a lot better at it. "It's good."
"Yi Jeong sunbae's level of good?" She asked hopefully, leaving him perplexed.
"What? What do you mean?"
A lump formed in her throat and tears spilled from her eyes.
"Oh, sunbae! He's going to be so mad!" She exclaimed and burst into sobs.
He spotted a small shard of broken pottery on the floor.
Oh.
So that was the problem.
It was quite funny because Yi Jeong probably wouldn't even notice anyway. And if he found out he would actually be more worried about the possibility of her having hurt herself.
She was so cute.
They were so cute.
"Ga Eul," he called her. She laid her trembling eyes on him. "Don't give up. I'm rooting for you."
Ga Eul nodded at his words, a newfound determination in her eyes.
Woo Bin smiled, pleased.
He wasn't talking about pottery, though.
Done! : )
Hope you liked it!
I'm actually enjoying writing BOF fics, so I think I'll keep writing them.
Let's see if I can write a longer story next time.
Thank you so much for reading and see you soon! : )
