And here's ch 2! I was rather eager to write out this chapter due to the volleyball game... It was cathartic!

4/12

Kanji looked outside the window, bored out of his mind. For an elite prep school, the subjects he was 'learning' was pure review. He had learned this shit already! Then again, not everyone had access to the Kirijo tutoring center, he supposed.

"Mr. Tatsumi!" shouted Ms. Usami, causing Kanji to turn back to her in boredom, "Perhaps you'd like to demonstrate to the class how to solve this problem?"

Ms. Usami, the math teacher, slapped the board, showing a calculus question she had been in the middle of teaching. One that none of the students should have known how to do as she had just begun the part of the section.

"Come on, if you're so bored, then show us just why you're allowed to let your mind wander off in class!" snapped Ms. Usami.

Kanji sighed as he walked up to the board, staring at the equation for a bit. Makoto sighed as she looked at Kanji's seat. It was just her luck that the older student sat right next to her, always looking bored. She had tried to get him to pay attention, but he ignored all her attempts, instead taking the time to stare out into the rain.

'If he's not going to take his second chance in education seriously, why even bother coming here?' scoffed Makoto inside her mind as she watched Kanji walk up to the board. Kanji stood there, looking at the equation for a bit. Both Ms. Usami and Makoto, as well as the rest of the class, thought Kanji was looking like a fool for getting up there.

"Now that Mr. Tatsumi has decided to participate in class, allow me to break down the equation," began Ms. Usami, waiving for Kanji to sit down, "At first this may seem hard, but if we first take the derivative...,"

Skrich skrich skrich

Ms. Usami was too busy reading off her book while making hand motions that she didn't hear the sound of chalk being used on the blackboard. She did notice that the students had stopped writing notes, not even paying attention to her. Instead, their focus was entirely on the blackboard. Before Ms. Usami could even rectify this problem, she heard the chalk slamming onto the metal railing.

"Done," grunted Kanji as he began to walk back to his seat, "Feel free to correct it."

Ms. Usami blinked as she looked at the blackboard to see the problem completely solved, with the work fully shown and in neat handwriting too so it was easy to tell how he got to the answer. Ms. Usami quickly tried to find some sort of error in Kanji's work, only to find none.

"C-c-correct," stammered Ms. Usami, her glasses falling slightly crooked before correcting herself, "I see that you read ahead."

"Yea sure," shrugged Kanji, plopping back down on his seat, looking back out the window,

'He just solved an advanced equation without hesitation!' gaped Makoto, suddenly scolding herself for judging someone based on their appearance. Her sister had always told her to never judge a book by its cover. And yet, for someone so smart, he didn't act like it. Come to think of it, he didn't really act like a delinquent, as Sakamoto did. Though it was too early to tell, to be honest.

Lunch time

As students began dispersing into groups, some heading towards the bread store to buy lunch, Makoto noticed Kanji bringing out a bento box. Upon opening it, Makoto's heart skipped a beat.

'Cute,' thought Makoto as she saw Kanji's lunch. There were animal shaped food neatly organized in the bento box as he began to eat ever so politely. Makoto couldn't help but take a look at her own plain looking lunch.

'He must have a girlfriend or something to make him his lunch,' hypothesized Makoto.

"Damn, that's a cute lunch," commented one of the boys, taking a look over, "Your girl make it?"

"I made it myself," replied Kanji as he took a bite, noticing the boy giving him a weird look, "What? Something wrong!?"

"No, nothing!" meeped the boy before quickly walking away.

Whispers and looks of disbelief flooded through the classroom, and yet Kanji seemed to be unphased by all of it.

"What are you looking at?" asked Kanji, looking at Makoto now.

Makoto blinked before realizing she had been staring at Kanji's lunch for quite some time now. Mumbling an apology, Makoto quickly went back to eating her lunch.

After class

Makoto sighed, relieved the day was over. Humming to herself, she packed up, ready to head to the library when she heard a cough next to her. Looking over, she saw Kanji standing over her.

"Mind showing me where the library and the teachers' office? I got some stuff to turn over to our homeroom teacher and I wanna check what books you have here," asked Kanji.

"I thought I showed you where the teachers' office is," sighed Makoto as she stood up, but none the less walking with Kanji to guide him to the office, "And put your uniform on properly!"

Kanji had taken the overcoat and hung it on his shoulders like he did with his old uniform and promptly ignored Makoto's order.

"Mind if I ask some question since your the student council president?" asked Kanji.

"What is it?" asked Makoto.

"I thought this was supposed to be an elite prep school, not a sports academy," said Kanji.

"This is one," huffed Makoto, feeling insulted at that question, "At our school, we pride ourselves of being ahead in education compared to other schools. Our curriculum is far more advanced, and any recommendations from us are always academically based."

"Bullshit," shot out Kanji, causing Makoto to stall, "I just heard a student begging his teacher for a recommendation only to be shot down because of... how was it he phrased it? Oh right, 'All recommendations are advised to go towards the volleyball players.'"

"I'm sure you heard it wrong," huffed Makoto.

"I'm sure I didn't," riposted Kanji, "Though the way the school seems to worship Kamoshida, it doesn't surprise me."

"That's Kamoshida-sensei to you," corrected Makoto.

"He ain't a sensei to me," replied Kanji, "He only teaches volleyball and even the damn principal kisses up to him. He's an idiot who's let power get into his head."

Before Makoto could lecture him about proper respect, they ran into Kamoshida talking with Ann before blatantly telling her that Ren had a criminal record. The two watched Ann walk away from Kamoshida and saw his facial expression change from a smile to a blatant sneer and lust as he watched Ann's back before stomping away.

"As I said, he's not a sensei to me. I ain't respecting someone like him," said Kanji.

"But... he is still a respected teacher here," said Makoto, though without much confidence.

"And you're supposed to be the student council president? You're letting that guy walk through you, and you're supposed to be 'there' for the students. Even the other new kid," huffed Kanji, "I bet you thought he was a criminal and decided to just sweep it out of mind, out of sight."

"No, of course not!" hissed Makoto, "It's just... he has a criminal record. It's just a bit hard to... talk to someone like that. How do you even start a conversation?"

"By saying hi like a normal person," sighed Kanji with a dull tone, "Here, like this."

Kanji walked towards Ren, who looked up in surprise to see someone walking towards him.

"Yo, we met yesterday," greeted Kanji, "Names Kanji Tatsumi. I'm the other transfer student here."

"Hello," greeted Ren, slightly nervous, "My name is Ren Amamiya."

"Hey, don't be nervous," said Kanji, "Like I said, I don't believe in that bullshit."

"..." was Ren's answer.

"Whatever, like I said, if you need someone to chat, just find me on the first floor," waved out Kanji, "I'm sure you got shit to do, so I'll be out of your way now."

"... Thanks," said Ren in a small voice, grateful for the talk, even if it wasn't much of a talk.

"See, just say hi," said Kanji as he walked back to Makoto, "Seriously, man up otherwise the teachers will walk all over you."

Makoto was left standing there in silence, unable to make any sort of reply.

Night

"Hiya Kanji!" said Labrys with a grin, "How's your undercover work been?"

"Dull," replied Kanji, "What you got for me?"

"It seems like Ren's criminal record was released on the school's website from an unknown hacker. The staff quickly had the post deleted, but by the time they noticed, quite a few students saw it already. From there, the news spread quite quickly around the school. So in this part, it was not the staff who released Ren's information," summarized Labrys.

"Is that the official report?" asked Kanji.

"From what they say, yes," nodded Labrys, "However, by tracing the post, I found out that it was done through a school computer. Meaning that a staff member could have easily done it and shifted the blame. Perhaps a student that was following a teacher's orders?"

"Wouldn't put it past them," grumbled Kanji, "I'm going to sleep now."

4/13

"I'm still having a hard time beleiving that this isn't a school that's all about sports, or in this case, volleyball," commented Kanji as he watched a volleyball rally with the students pitted against the teachers, "The principal actually canceled class just for this shit the whole day."

Makoto had trouble trying to defend her stance as it was weakening with every event.

"Whatever, if this is all that's happening today, I might as well head home," shrugged Kanji as he started to leave, "Not like there's going to be anything taught today, and I'm not watching one man stoke his own ego."

Makoto sadly had to admit she had the sames idea. It was either head to the student council room, which was a rather small room despite its 'prestigious' position, head to the library to study some more, or just head home. She had no interest in volleyball either.

Kanji was walking himself out, walking past Ann first before he passed right by Ren and Ryuji.

"Pretty boring, right?" asked Ryuji as he yawned.

"Yep," answered Kanji, causing Ryuji to look up before jumping back in shock/fright, "I'm planning to bail if this is all we're doing."

"Whoa, you're big," said Ryuji bluntly.

"Yep," replied Kanji dully before turning to Ren, "You made another friend here? That's good."

"Yea, thanks," nodded Ren, "Though you wouldn't believe how we met."

'I doubt that,' thought Kanji.

"Uhh dude? Not to be rude, but how old are you? I mean, you don't look like any of our ages," asked Ryuji.

"20," replied Kanji, "I'm here as the other transfer student to finish getting my diploma. Part of a special case student, along with Amamiya here. I didn't finish high school earlier due to circumstances."

Ryuji had been about to open his mouth to ask, only for Ren to elbow him in the ribs hard to stop him. It was rude to ask Kanji about the circumstances if he didn't expand on it further by his own will.

Their little conversation stopped when they turned in time to see Kamoshida slam a spike right into Mishima's face.

They then witnessed Kamoshida rushing over Mishima, acting all worried about him.

"Damn prick acting like he cares," muttered Ryuji.

"He probably doesn't," hummed Kanji, "You can tell it in his eyes."

As Mishima was still on his hands, Kamoshida glanced around before his eyes landed on Kanji, Ryuji, and Ren, a plot forming inside his mind. He had always disliked Ryuji, Ren was someone that could be a stain in his little kingdom, and Kanji was someone whom he felt was an actual threat to his kingdom.

"You two, take Mishima to the nurse's office," ordered Kamoshida, pushing Mishima into their hands. The two eagerly obeyed as it allowed them to excuse themselves from the game.

"Well, we're three down now, so how about we choose some people from the audience to participate?" suggested Kamoshida with a loud voice as he made a show of looking around the room, "How about you three?"

Everyone looked at the direction Kamoshida was pointing at to see Kanji, Ryuji, and Ren at the end of the finger.

"Shit, Kamoshida just wants to use us as his spike dummy," growled Ryuji.

Ren frowned, unable to formulate a response at this. As much as he wanted to refuse, it would just paint a bigger target on him and get him into more trouble. Something he couldn't risk due to his precarious situation right now.

Kanji, on the other hand, gave no shit and gave his answer.

"Not interested," said Kanji as he began to walk away, "You two coming with? Beats sitting here, doesn't it?"

Ryuji and Ren saw the opportunity Kanji was giving them and eagerly stood up to follow.

"Ah c'mon, don't be like that," drawled Kamoshida, "Surely you guys wanna prove yourselves to others right? If you don't participate... well I suppose school life will be harder for you lot."

All three of them instantly read the underlying message that Kamoshida had just threatened to use his power to create a hostile environment for them. And considering he had the principal kissing up to him, it was safe to assume he had quite a bit of it.

For Kanji, it wasn't a big deal. Kamoshida could blow all the hot air he wanted too, but as soon as he actually did something, Kanji would make sure to shut him down. The other two, however, weren't in a position that they could refuse. Ryuji was already known as a delinquent throughout the school and was on thin ice due to a certain incident with Kamoshida. Ren was hanging by a thread, as any form of trouble would land him back in juvie despite his innocence. Anything Kamoshida said versus his own words would likely result in nobody believing him. In fact, in his own family, only his parents believed him. All his aunt and uncles deemed Ren as a disgrace without even listening to his side of the story.

Kanji saw the conflict on their faces and sighed. As much as he wanted to ignore Kamoshida, he wouldn't let these two suffer. Especially since one of his objectives was to help Ren.

In the end, the trio found themselves standing on the court with the other players. Kamoshida's first spike was right into Ryuji's face, causing Kanji to frown at that.

"What's the big idea, aiming for the face?" growled Kanji as Ren helped Ryuji back up, "I'm pretty damn sure you can aim that ball to a more isolated area on the court."

"It's a strategy," snapped Kamoshida, "In the Olympics, it's harder to react and defend a spike to the face."

While many 'praised' his logic, Kanji scoffed. Kamoshida was intentionally aiming for the face to have an excuse to hit students he didn't like.

Soon, Kamoshida was up in the air, ready to fire another spike at Ren this time when he noticed the glare Kanji was giving him. As if challenging him to fire at him instead. Taking the bait and thinking he could just aim his next spike at Ren, Kamoshida smashed a spike right at Kanji's face.

Kamoshida's spike was worthy to be called an Olympic class spike. Not only was it fast, but it was also pretty powerful. However, compared to what Kanji had faced and fought, it was a lot slower. Kanji easily jumped up and back, receiving the ball easily into his forearms and launching it up in the air without much effort.

"Set me up!" shouted Kanji as he landed, his foot already digging into the gym floor.

The other members of the volleyball team they were teamed up with looked reluctant to do so, but Ren immediately got into a setting postion, pushing the ball up when it came to him.

Being an amateur in volleyball, Ren hadn't been able to aim the ball right before the net, but instead a bit more towards the middle of the court.

For Kanji though, it was perfect. Kanji immediately dashed before launching himself up in the air. Now, Kanji had never played volleyball either. He didn't know how someone was supposed to spike a ball, the finesse of it, etc. Kanji did know how to throw a punch, though. Figuring that it would be enough, Kanji twisted his whole body before punching the volleyball with an overhand punch.

His target? Kamoshida's face.

Kamoshida growled as he saw the ball coming for him. He saw Kanji's mocking face as the ball blitzed towards him. It was a challenge from Kanji. If Kamoshida chose to dodge it, it would send a message that he was scared. Kanji had already received one of his spikes, so Kamoshida's choices were limited. As for aiming for his face, Kamoshida couldn't argue that Kanji couldn't do that as he had just explained why he aimed for the face.

'Don't underestimate me brat!' snarled Kamoshida in his mind as he jumped up and backward, just as Kanji did.

It was here that Kamoshida made a mistake. A spike in volleyball was usually made with topspin to force the ball to sink down faster or generate more speed. Kanji had punched it instead, and created a backspin instead. The ball, instead of heading downwards, suddenly floated up a little due to the force of the spin. If Kamoshida had chosen to dodge instead, the ball would have flown out of bounds.

Instead, Kamoshida found the ball smashing into his face while his feet were off the ground from trying to receive it. The result... was rather amusing.

Due to the power generated from Kanji, Kamoshida was sent spinning in the air while the volleyball drove right through without stopping. One flip... two flip... and a half flip as Kamoshida ended up lying flat on his face as his head slammed into the floor. It wasn't pretty, either, as during the second flip Kamoshida's head had clipped the floor.

"Holy shit!" exclaimed half the student population watching the match.

"Kamoshida-sensei, are you alright? Oh crap he's not responding... the white of his eyes are showing! Someone get the nurse!" shouted a teacher as he inspected Kamoshida.

"Well, guess that's over," scoffed Kanji as he walked away, not even caring about the damage he had caused.

"Whoa... wait hold up dude!" shouted Ryuji, quickly running to chase after Kanji.

Ren looked back at the unconscious Kamoshida and grinned as he walked away to follow Kanji.

Ann looked at the fading back of Kanji and couldn't help but give a fist pump as she saw the unconscious Kamoshida. Almost everyone in the volleyball club that saw that spike did the same thing.

"Dude that was awesome!" exclaimed Ryuji as the three stood near the vending machines in the school, "So satisfying to see his smug face caved in by his favorite sport! You can't tell me that wasn't epic."

"It was," nodded Ren.

"Meh, it wasn't anything," shrugged Kanji as he bought three drinks and passed it out.

"Wasn't much? C'mon man you knocked out the pervert king Kamoshida down his throne!" shouted Ryuji, "You don't know how much I wanted to do that! Especially after seeing his castle!"

"Castle?" blinked Kanji.

"He means it by that due to how Kamoshida most likely views the school," explained Ren, stomping on Ryuji's foot to stop him from talking, "Considering how much influence he has, it's not far off."

"Fair enough," shrugged Kanji, "Well, I'm going to head back home. Got some work to do."

"Aren't you worried about being a target?" asked Ren cautiously.

"Hmm? From that idiot? He can lord all his fake power over me all he wants, but as soon as he tries something stupid, I'll kick his ass," yawned Kanji, "Though with his focus on me now, least you two will have an easier time. Anyways, later."

As soon as Kanji left, Ren turned towards Ryuji with a raised eyebrow.

"What?" asked Ryuji.

"Subtle much?" asked Ren, causing Ryuji to blush.

"Sorry," apologized Ryuji as he scratched the back of his head, "We should take this chance to look for the guys that were slaves yesterday. All the members of the volleyball team should be here. Though they won't talk to me since people have been avoidin' me lately...though you're in the same boat. Damn, we should've asked Tatsumi-senpai to help! After that stunt, I'm sure students would spill!"

"Let's just try to do this ourselves," said Ren.

"Dude, next time, we should take Tatsumi-senpai with us," suggested Ryuji, "Can you imagine if he got a persona? He'd wreck through the castle! Bet Kamoshida is terrified of him now."

"Let's not," disagreed Ren, "He's now in the hot spot from his stunt. We'd only draw more attention to him if we did that, making his life harder. I don't know what's going on with him, but I don't want to put more pressure than he's already taken off from us."

"Yea, I guess," sighed Ryuji, "Still love to see him wreck Kamoshida's castle though."

4/14

"I guess I should've expected this," grumbled Kanji as he sat on his desk. Already everyone was looking at him in a mixture of fear and hatred. Mostly the girls who admired Kamoshida, (though why they would, he had no idea) hated him while the males feared him. Still, if they mostly ignored him, it made his job easier to blend in.

"The principal wants to see you after school," stated Makoto as she sat next to him.

"What for?" asked Kanji.

"Do you even have to ask?" sighed Makoto, "Obviously about the misconduct from yesterday."

"What misconduct?" asked Kanji.

"What misconduct..." blinked Makoto before counting to ten, "Your little attack on Kamoshida yesterday!"

"Attack?" asked Kanji.

"That spike of yours was clearly an intent to hurt him," clarified Makoto, "Why would you attack a teacher who hasn't even provoked you?"

"Is that what you believe in?" asked Kanji, "That I spiked a ball in his face during the game only to hurt him?"

"What else is there?" hissed Makoto.

"The fact that it's harder to react and defend a spike to the face?" riposted Kanji.

"And who told you that?" demanded Makoto.

"Kamoshida himself," replied Kanji cooly, taking the sails out of Makoto's argument, "Or have you decided to forget the fact that he's been doing that to all the other kids and chose to ignore that to attack me? Or did the principal and that idiot set you on me?"

"I... I...," stammered Makoto.

"You're the student council president, aren't you? Aren't you supposed to represent us? To make sure you hear at least my side of the story, not be the teacher's attack dog?" continued Kanji, "Why are you even one if you're not going to help your fellow classmates. Forget it, I'm done talking."

Kanji looked away while Makoto could only awkwardly sit on her desk, scooting her desk as far away from Kanji as possible. She continued to ignore Kanji as he propped up a large textbook to cover his desk as he grabbed something out from his backpack. Though curious, she chose to ignore him

It wasn't until school was over when Makoto was leading Kanji to the principal's office did Kanji speak up.

"Yo, put your hand out," ordered Kanji.

Makoto, who was still a bit out of it, jumped a bit before doing so, wondering to herself why she was following her order. A second later, the most adorable panda plushy that looked similar to Buchimaru landed on her hand.

"An apology," apologized Kanji, scratching the back of his head, "I shouldn't have been so harsh on you earlier."

"That's alright," gasped Makoto as she prodded her little plushy, loving how soft it was. Most plushies weren't this soft and cute!

"How and where did you buy this?" asked Makoto, "I didn't think they sold any more Buchimaru merchandise."

"Buchimaru? Is that what the panda is called? I just copied the design from the pencil case you're always carrying. And I didn't buy it, I made it, thank you very much!" huffed Kanji.

"You? Crochet?" gaped Makoto, unable to believe that such a muscular man was into such a... detailed art.

"I love cute shit, got a problem?" barked Kanji.

"Oh, no! I was just surprised!" meeped Makoto as they arrived at the principal's office, "I'm sorry for offending you!"

"Meh, it's alright. I shouldn't have barked at you," sighed Kanji, "It's that in my past, I got laughed at for liking to crochet and stuff. Now I can do it without a care because I got friends that accept me for who I am."

'Friends... who accept you for you are,' thought Makoto as she glanced down at her plushy. Before she could think about it more, though, Kanji had already brazenly pushed the door open.

"Ah, Mr. Tatsumi, I'm so glad you could come," smiled principal Kobayakawa, "Niijima, you are free to go."

Makoto glanced at the principal, then back at Kanji once more. Despite his harsh words, she could feel the harsh truth in his words. She was supposed to help represent the students, but so far, all she did was obey her teachers' words.

"I'll be alright," said Kanji, noting Makoto's struggle, "Go ahead and do whatever else you need to do. This won't take long."

Makoto nodded and respectfully close the door behind her as she left.

"Now then, I'm here to discuss your actions yesterday," started Kobayakawa, "You nearly sent our beloved volleyball coach to the hospital with your attack."

"I spiked a ball to his face in the game. That's not an attack," pointed out Kanji.

"Kamoshida is a beloved teacher among us all," continued Kobayakawa, ignoring Kanji's defense, "It nearly broke out hearts after such an incident. However, out of Kamoshida's generosity, he has told us not to expel you. Instead, as punishment, you will be helping out the volleyball club. Kamoshida has said that you have a lot of raw talent that can be refined under his guidance. Why, you could probably a volleyball Olympist with his teaching from our beloved school!"

"Not interested," stated Kanji clearly, cutting off Kobayakawa's daydream, "And I didn't 'attack' him. As I told Niijima before, I merely spiked a ball to his face."

"And why would you do such a thing? It's such a terrible show of sportsmanship to do so," argued Kobayakawa.

"Because Kamoshida been doing it the whole time," said Kanji, "If you haven't noticed, a lot of the volleyball club members seems to have bruises on their face. Not to mention he said how it's harder to react and defend from such a tactic. Figuring since he said that out loud and was doing it the whole time, I figured I could do it too."

"Ahem, well that is one matter," blustered Kobayakawa, "There's the other matter of your punishment. You will-"

"Not taking it," interrupted Kanji, "At most, I'll 'apologize' to him for spiking a ball into his face. Nothing else."

"Now see here! I-"

"Don't care. If that's all, then I'm leaving. You can try to bluff all you want, but it'll get you nowhere," said Kanji as he left.

Kobayakawa could only growl as his bluff was called. Certainly he could try, but since Kanji hadn't actually done anything wrong, it would just fail. Not to mention he was somehow connected to the Kirijo group, meaning he was powerless to do anything for now.

Kanji grumbled as he made his way to Kamoshida's office. For someone who was just a PE teacher, he had his own office compared to the other teachers here. Why the idiot had special privileges like this confused Kanji, but he wasn't going to call them out. He'd go and say sorry and leave. Whether he meant it though was another story. Now that he thought about it, he hadn't see any other sports club.

As soon as he found Kamoshida's office, he cleared his throat, ready to knock on the door when he heard a female voice.

"Noo... please...stop..."

Kanji didn't bother waiting and ripped open the door.

Inside, he saw Kamoshida grabbing Shiho's arm, his face contorted with lust and anger. His other arm was slowly moving towards Shiho's chest, his fingers moving in a perverted fashion.

Kamoshida didn't notice anyone opening the door until he felt a firm grip on his other hand. Furious that his little 'reward' was being interrupted, he whirled around to deal with whomever had stopped him. If it was the little shit Mishima growing a conscious, he'd beat him down into the ground. If it was any other student, he'd do the same. Hell, even if it was the student council president Makoto Niijima, he could easily silence her and molest her at the same time with Shiho. His anger quickly changed when he saw it was Kanji.

"You!?" hissed Kamoshida.

"The hell you think you're doing to her?" growled Kanji, his grip tightening on Kamoshida's wrist.

"What do you think you're doing?" snapped Kamoshida, playing it off cooly, "Suzui here tripped on something, and I managed to save her when you barged in here. Right Suzui?"

Shiho looked up nervously, seeing Kamoshida's glare at her now, his eyes telling him to obey.

"Y...y... yes. I tripped and Kamoshida-sensei caught my arm before I could fall," obeyed Shiho.

"See?" stated Kamoshida, "Now let go boy!"

Kanji merely raised his eyebrow, his hand never letting go, but rather instead, squeezed a bit more firmly. Kamoshida immediately understood and let go of Shiho's arm. Only then did Kanji let go of Kamoshida's arm.

"We'll have our discussion tomorrow Suzui," ordered Kamoshida, "When there aren't people to disturb it."

Shiho looked at Kamoshida in fear before quickly leaving, her heart and soul trembling at what was to come.

What do you want?" snarled Kamoshida, using his build to try to tower over Kanji, "Came here to apologize? I believe the punishment from the principal was that you would help us out. I'll be sure to put you to good use."

"Don't even try," snapped Kanji back, "You can prance around with the fake power you have, but try it against me and I'll kick your ass. As for 'punishment', there was none. Considering all I did was play by the rules."

With that, Kanji slammed the door behind him as he left.

Night

"Holy shit I wanna punch that guy!" raged Kanji as he sat down in front of his laptop.

"Just who do you want to punch?" asked Yu with interest.

"The teacher that I told you about," sighed Kanji, leaning back on his seat, "I was to be 'punished' for spiking a ball into his face."

"Ouch," winced Yosuke, "That must've been painful. Almost like Chie's kicks."

"What was that Yosuke!?" shouted Chie.

"Let's not get distracted," pointed out Yukiko, "That can't be the source of your anger."

"It's not, but it leads into it," growled Kanji.

"Ooh, how many times did he flip?" asked Teddie with interest.

"It's just a ball," frowned Rise.

"Kanji was the one behind the force," pointed out Naoto.

"Fair enough," winced Rise, "So how many times?"

"Two," mumbled Kanji, "But it's what happened after. After calling their bluff, I was heading to Kamoshida's office to give him an 'apology' when I caught him about to molest a student. I have no doubt if I didn't come in on time, he would've raped her."

Silence reigned between the Investigation Team for a good minute after hearing such an act.

"And they employ scum like him near students!?" cried out Chie, "I'll kick his ass!"

"We should not let him roam free to prowl amongst the young students," nodded Yukiko, "Perhaps we could get him fired?"

"Be hard to do so if none of the students are willing to talk and if the principal keeps covering for him," hummed Yu, "To get him out, we need irrefutable evidence."

"I can investigate more about him once I'm finished with my current case," volunteered Naoto, "It's almost done anyway."

"I don't suppose I could use my idol influence to pressure him, could I?" asked Rise.

"That would be correct," nodded Yu, "Though effective, people would wonder why you take such an interest there. If you knew someone there that was a highschool model, it might be different."

"I think the school actually has one," blinked Kanji, "Don't remember the name though, never asked her. She has platinum blonde hair, that's all I remember. And that's because I saw the asshole flirting with her, asking her about her modeling gig."

"Eww," said a disgusted Rise. At least her highschool years was mostly dealing with a jealous but harmless Noriko Kashiwaga. Even the deceased Kinshiro Morooka, aka King Moron, despite his usual snobbish attitude, never flirted or attempted to molest his students. Though he took a few students into his office for a private meeting, those were actual heartfelt counseling sessions, though kept very private.

"We should visit the school!" suggested Teddie, "I wanna see Kanji's school!"

"Dude, horrible idea," replied Yosuke.

"Actually, I think it's a sound idea," said Yu, "I have tomorrow off. If the situation is as bad as Kanji makes it to be, it would be smart idea to look around as soon as possible."

"Oh, I'm not saying that part is a bad idea. I'm saying the part where Teddie wants to go is bad. Think of all those high school girls he's going to scar."

"Hey! You take that back, or I'm going to get beary angry!" growled Teddie while the others laughed.

"As it happens, I'm actually patrolling in that area, so I could come too," added Chie.

"Teddie and I have tomorrow off, so we could come too," nodded Yosuke as he managed to pin Teddie in a headlock.

"I have nothing concerning tomorrow, so I will come too," said Yukiko, "Perhaps afterward, we can go on a double date. It has been some time since our last one."

"I want to go too," whined Rise, "But I have a meet and greet, another photo session, practice, and other stuff that'll take me all week."
"It's alright, we can go on a private date when you have time," suggested Yu.

"You better," huffed Rise, "I could rent out a whole movie theater for just the three of us."

"I'm sure you could," chuckled Yu, "Let's get back to our main point though. Yosuke, Chie, Yukiko, Teddie, and I will visit Kanji's school tomorrow. Once there, we'll gather evidence about Kamoshida."

"Sounds like a plan," nodded Yosuke before turning to Teddie, "What are you planning to wear?"

"I'm going to go in my beary adorable suit! All the girls will love me!" cheered Teddie.

"Yea, good luck with that," sweatdropped Yosuke.

4/15

Kanji yawned as he stared out the window, bored. At least his friends would be coming to visit and look around. They could probably hang out at his place for a while to chill, too. His eyes wandered as the teacher began lecturing about history when his eyes spotted something off on the school's roof. Specifically, a girl standing dangerously close to the ledge, past the chain-linked fence.

"Niijima... what's that?" said Kanji as he stood up, ignoring the teacher's order to sit back down and not disrupt the class.

Makoto, unable to contain her curiousity, looked at the general direction Kanji was... and paled.

"What is she doing!?" shouted Makoto, quickly standing up in a panic, noticing Shiho on the ledge.

The other classmates all began to look at the general direction before standing up, rushing out the hall to get a closer look. The other classrooms had the same reaction, all rushing out to get a better view while teachers failed to control the students.

Makoto was snapped out of her trance when Kanji pulled her forward towards the stairs, wondering what he wanted.

"Go up to the roof and see if you can't stop her!" shouted Kanji as he began to run out towards the courtyard, "I'll see if I can't at least try to catch her if you're too late."

"Right!" nodded Makoto as adrenaline began to rush through her. Before the two could move though, Shiho had jumped off the roof of the building.

Everyone watched her fall towards the ground in slow motion, head first. People screamed in shock at the sight. Ann, Shiho's best friend, felt a scream caught in her throat while her hands were clutched on her face. Standing next to him was Ren, looking just as horrified.

Shiho saw the ground approaching closer and closer and closed her eyes. Her memory flashed back to her time in Kamoshida's office, his lustful gaze as he grabbed her, her struggles useless. She had no doubt that if Kanji hadn't arrived on time, she would've been raped. But her luck couldn't hold out forever. Not with Kamoshida around, his power running unchecked and backed up by the principal. She could see no escape from him, and the worst part was that she knew she was dragging Ann down with her.

So in the end, she made up her mind to end everything. To escape from Kamoshida, his lust and wrath, and to set Ann free.

Kanji and Makoto were running towards Shiho, hoping that they could do something, but both knew they were too slow to catch Shiho. It seemed hopeless as Shiho's head approached the cold ground when a red and blue blur came flying out of nowhere.

"GRIZZLY CATCH!" shouted the object as it crashed into Shiho.

Shiho was shocked when a fast but soft object hit her, cradling its arm around her to protect her before it bounced off the ground and a pole before slamming into a wall. Throughout the whole thing, Shiho had been protected, though not without a few scuffs.

Few minutes earlier

"So this is Shujin," hummed Yosuke as they entered the school, "Have to admit, it looks better than Yasogami."

"Well duh, it's located in a city than in a rural area," huffed Chie.

"I wonder how Kanji is doing?" hummed Yu.

"I bet he's got girls flocking all over him," giggled Yukiko, "Big bad boy in a school like this would surely attract attention."

"I bet it's the opposite!" huffed Teddie, "City girls like pretty boys like me!"

"Not in that suit," retorted Yosuke.

Before Teddie could even retort, Yu, who had been scanning around, suddenly stomped his foot, getting everyone's attention. Before they could say anything, Yu was already dashing forward, with Yosuke quickly following behind him. He had no idea what was happening, but he knew Yu well enough that if he was running forward, there was a damn good reason why.

"Chie!" shouted Yukiko as she pointed up towards the roof of a building.

Chie looked up, her eyes widening as she noticed Shiho on the rooftop, her position clearly poised to commit suicide. Her whole body began to move, but as soon as Shiho jumped, she knew she couldn't make it. Despite Yu and Yosuke's quick action, they wouldn't be able to either. But there had to be something they could do!

"Chie, kick Teddie forward!" shouted Yukiko as she somehow managed to grab Teddie and hurl him at Chie.

"Yukiko, why?" sobbed Teddie as he was thrown forward.

Chie instantly punted Teddie forward with all her strength, sending him flying at Yosuke and Yu.

Upon hearing a screaming Teddie, the two looked back to see Teddie flying towards them, going much faster than they could run.

"Yosuke!" shouted Yu as he turned around.

"Got it partner!" replied Yosuke as he did the same.

The two grabbed Teddie by each of his paws and threw him towards Shiho.

"This is going to be a close one. Here I go, secret Teddie technique! GRIZZLY CATCH!"

Present

"Are you alright?" asked the Teddie, to which Shiho slowly looked up to see someone in what was probably the cutest bear costume she had seen.

"Wait, what about you?" asked Shiho with worry, "You must be bleeding from saving me!"

"I'm fine kuma," replied the Teddie with a grin, "I'm beary tough!"

"Teddie won't be hurt from this sort of thing," grinned Yosuke as he suddenly appeared, shocking Shiho, "More importantly, we should take a look at your injuries. You have scratches all over you as well as... bruises... that aren't normal."

"Oh dear, that's not normal!" shouted Yukiko as she quickly began to treat Shiho's wounds, "We need to get you to a hospital to properly treat these bruises! If we don't, they could affect your future!"

"I'm fine," stuttered Shiho, trying to push off Yukiko only to feel a firm grip from Yukiko on her hands, preventing her from pushing Yukiko away.

"Now, now, don't complain, I have plenty of experience," smiled Yukiko as she began treating the injuries she could handle.

Perhaps it was something from Yukiko's voice or her aura, but Shiho found herself allowing Yukiko to treat her wounds without hesitation.

"Hey, who are you and what are you doing here!?" shouted a teacher, stomping forward and demanding answers, "Get off the campus if you're not a part of the school!"

"A student of yours almost committed suicide, and you're more worried about other people!?" gaped Yosuke, "Shouldn't you be more concerned about the student here? Who clearly has bruises that weren't from her attempt?"

"She's not a part of my homeroom," evaded the teacher, "Get out before I call the police!"

"I am the police," snarled Chie, stomping forward while flicking her badge up, "Now you're going to tell me why the hell a student here has bruises here and why your primary concern isn't your student!"

"Ehh... ummm... I'm not her homeroom teacher," evaded the teacher, looking away.

"Useless," hissed Chie as she looked around, seeing the students gathered up, "What are you lot looking at!? Get back to class!"

Quite a few scattered at that command, fleeing from the policewoman.

"I'm going to take her to the nearest clinic to treat her wounds," stated Yukiko as she managed to pull Shiho up, "Does a teacher want to come with me?"

The teachers all looked away, not wanting to be involved in this, causing Yukiko's eyebrow to twitch.

"I'll go!" volunteered Ann as she pushed her way through, "I'm her best friend."

"Let's go quickly, I've already called a cab," nodded Yukiko as she had Yosuke and Teddie help Shiho up, escorting her out before she could get a word out.

"Shiho, why?" whispered Ann as she held her best friends hand, tears in her eyes.

None of the teachers dared to speak up when they saw the furious glance from Chie and Yukiko, stopping them all cold.

Kanji had been walking over to his friends when he noticed Ryuji and Ren chasing after a boy. Curious at that, he decided to follow, leaving Makoto to stare at the scene in shock.

Kanji decided to take a more stealthy approach, overhearing their conversation with Mishima. He saw Ryuji charging towards the PE faculty room and decided to follow.

"You bastard! What the hell did you try to do to that girl!" shouted Ryuji.

"What are you talking about?" scoffed Kamoshida.

"Don't play dumb with me!" roared Ryuji as he kicked a chair down.

"That is enough!" scowled Kamoshida as he finally turned around towards Ryuji, Ren, and Mishima.

"What you did... wasn't coaching!" stuttered Mishima in anger before confessing how Kamoshida ordered him to bring Shiho to him.

None of them noticed Kanji hanging around the door, nor the cat that had snuck in. It was there Kanji saw Kamoshida taunt them, stating that even if it was 'true', they couldn't do anything about it. He also mentioned how Shiho's parents had called to excuse her from school for therapy due to the attempted suicide, which meant she wouldn't be there to testify. And Kamoshida was confident that Shiho wouldn't confess if she knew what was good for her.

Ryuji growled at his whimsical attitude, causing Kamoshida to chuckle before looking straight at him.

"This again? Does this mean we need to have yet another case of 'self-defense'?" taunted Kamoshida.

"You shut your mouth, you son of a bitch!" roared Ryuji as he wound his arm back, hoping to get a good punch in Kamoshida's face even if it meant breaking his leg.

Ren quickly grabbed Ryuji's arm, stopping him from acting out. Kamoshida laughed and taunted them, "There's no need to hold back. Why not attack me? Ohhh you can't. Hahaha, but of course you can't!"

Feeling invincible Kamoshida began to walk back to sit down before making a declaration, "Everyone present right now... will be expelled. I'm reporting all of you at the next board meeting."

They were all shocked as Mishima tried to argue against it, only for Kamoshida to laugh it off before letting them know that he had forced Mishima to leak Ren's records.

"Now are we finished here? You're all expelled! You're done for: your futures are mine to take. Now get out of my sight. While I'm at it, I might as well expel that other transfer student, Kanji Tatsumi."

Ren and the others left, though the seeds of rebellion already planted in their hearts. As soon as they left, though, Kanji stepped into the office.

"Exactly on who's authority?" barked Kanji as he stepped into the office.

"Mine!" growled Kamoshida as he whirled around once more, standing up again.

"I thought I warned you to not flaunt your so called 'power' on me," said Kanji as he walked up towards Kamoshida, looking him straight in his face.

Kamoshida was a very tall and lean man, but Kanji had more muscle than him.

"You going to try to beat me up?" taunted Kamoshida, "I've broken Sakamoto's leg for less."

Kamoshida wouldn't admit, but he was afraid of Kanji. Sakamoto was just a highschool student that he could easily beat. Kanji was much older, much stronger, and the spike from him had left a more lasting impression, not to mention his wrist twinged in pain from when Kanji grabbed him.

"The hell kind of teacher are you?" demanded Kanji, "You blackmail students, you beat them up, you force them to do your bidding, you try to molest them, and now you're expelling students just because you feel like it?"

"What are you going to do about it?" taunted Kamoshida as he slowly shifted to the side, "I've got the power, and there's nothing you brats can do about it."

"Well, if I'm going to be expelled, I might as well be expelled for actually deserving it," grinned Kanji as he cracked his knuckles, "Then again if I shut you up, you can't really expel anyone can you?"

Before Kamoshida could even register that threat, Kanji had already wound up and threw a punch. Kamoshida couldn't even react, as the punch had been way too fast for him. However, just before the punch could land on Kamoshida's face, another hand firmly grabbed Kanji's arm, stopping his fist just a few millimeters from Kamoshida.

"That's enough," ordered Yu, having stepped in and stopping Kanji, "Stand down."

Kanji wanted to complain, but a look from Yu was enough for Kanji to obey.

Kamoshida soon finally regained his wits as he quickly brandished a wooden sword that he had been inching over to grab.

"Don't think you're leaving here without a broken arm for threatening me!" shouted Kamoshida as he raised the sword up high, "I can claim self-defense on this!"

However, before Kamoshida could swing down, a glare from Yu was enough to stop him.

"You will do nothing," ordered Yu, "We are going to leave now, and you will leave all these boys in peace. As for the expulsion... I am willing to fight you on that, and I will win. The shroud of lies that you wrap yourself in will be exposed."

With that, Yu turned to leave with Kanji quickly following behind. Ryuji and the others quickly followed, leaving Kamoshida frozen in midstance, sweat pouring down his head. Never had he been so intimidated by just a simple glare.

Writing Kamoshida getting owned felt good. So was saving Shiho, to be honest. Hope you guys enjoyed this chapter
