-Collarine Military Training Academy-

Two weeks, it has been two weeks since he woke up as another person entirely. Two weeks, since he was in a test flight that killed him. Two weeks since he was yelled at for screaming. All leading up to this one moment...of course, the inspection of the facility and the attendants within it. He had to condition himself, get used to his new body, learn about the place he was in, what they expected, it was a tough and gruelling thing to do, and to do it in two weeks' time, was madness.

The physical inspection for all the personnel, along with an updated record on their performance was to be in place for them. However, the inspection...doesn't begin until an hour later. So all of them were crammed into the mess hall. It was loud, everyone was talking about what was going to happen, how they we're going to get the best selections for everything, how their new muscles and other things were going to win girls over outside the academy, and just daily life

Trevas sat there, eating his meal, he never really talked to anyone unless they talked to him. Which, in that case, wasn't often, as he didn't bother to become friends with anyone else in his barracks. As a result of this, he never told anyone anything about himself. He had no idea why "Trevas" was here, he was Curtis, and that's what he knew about his past life. Most likely fearing the backlash...or the opinion on his mental stability.

Everything ran through his mind for a bit, the path leading up here was already such a complex and...rather difficult subject. He wasn't scared or that nervous...just wondering what would happen to him with his performance and other such things during the inspection. He was not physically unable to do it, infact, he was probably one of the best in his barracks in terms of physical status. At least he could thank God for that, giving him an able body to serve.

The clock in the mess hall would tick down, time was running out for the boys in there. Trevas would continuously poke at his food from time to time, taking slow and small bites. Waiting out the time it took for them to be forced out to be checked.

6:50 AM

Fifty past six, the young men eating in the mess hall were dumped out from the mess hall. All ready to be checked by instructors and medical personnel. What followed first was the endurance tests, and by God himself were they taxing. Mile runs, Exercise tests, and everything they could do in order to make it hell for the men.

Trevas would breathe heavily, it was over in a matter of...a few hours. They gave time in between to recoup...but he honestly thought it was not enough. Now, it was time for medical examinations. Now, all of the boys were clad in underclothing per medical procedure, sat in a crammed waiting room, sweating and wheezing. "God…" Trevas whispered to himself. "Why did you pack me into this can of a room…" Trevas sighed, eagerly awaiting the point where he could get the medical examination and get out of there. One of the physicians would then open the door, pushing up his glasses. "Next, Trevas Steveston." He said in a cold voice, causing Trevas to stand up. Heading inside the room while the door closed behind him.

"Trevas Steveston...tall...balanced weight…" Trevas blinked as the man read to him information from the file, stuff he himself didn't really know. "You're looking good y'know, when I was young I looked just as good, if not better." The man chuckled as Trevas still sat there, unamused. "Anyway...it'll be a long time with me here, so let's get started shall we?" The doctor said, with Trevas nodding as a reply.

"Let's answer some questions…" The doctor pulled out a clipboard, with Trevas sighing. 'Oh great...a questionnaire about a body I have only been in for about two weeks.' "How are you feeling right now?" "I feel okay, sir." "Good good, how have you held up these past few weeks, any abnormal pains or sicknesses?" "No sir." "Do you take any prescriptions as of now?" "No." "Are you sexually a-" "Definite no." Trevas...was as honest as he could be during that questionnaire, it only lasted for a few minutes longer before actual tests began.

Hearing and vision, blood tests, drug tests, all ended out well. There were no problems with him, and he was thankful for that. Finally, after all was said and done, he thought he could finally rest. No more physical or medical examination, just the rest of the day all to him- "Good, now that we're done, you can join your friends in the magical aptitude test." "...Magical what now?" Trevas said, confused as he looked at the doctor, who pushed up his glasses once more. "Come on, don't wait here, get in the line over in the left wing." "But-" "Would you like a lollipop or what? Get on with it." "Yes sir…" Trevas sighed.

He didn't even know what that test was. Now, he was standing in a line with a variety of other men from his barracks, god, what a pain. He would often step a bit out of line to see how much was left, each time was not an assuring amount. However, what he did notice whenever he darted around the room was a machine...nothing he had seen before when he was tested. It seemed to have a piece of headgear, but what was the machine for...infact what was this whole test for. 20 Minutes later, he would finally be in front of the line. "Next!" One of the people recording the results yelled. Trevas stepped in front of the machine...other men would begin to hook the machine up to him, Trevas being slightly nervous. What if he failed whatever test this was, what if this doesn't allow him to serve. What did he even have to do- "Good now…" Trevas stood there, his mind pacing around...as it did that however, the machine read him.

It recorded his magic power, something he did not know existed in this world. The machine's lights however would turn from red then to yellow, green and finally, a light blue color. Meters rising quickly on the machine, the graphs spiking up. The men would then look amazed, talking to each other as Trevas looked confused. "His results seem to be below average sir…" "Really?! " They looked in disbelief "...Whoops, sorry sir, it's upside-Christ! That's a lot of mana!" They would all talk to each other, as the machine would begin having issues reading the amount of power...as if Trevas' body coursed with it. They would rush over to disconnect all the wires, and took the headset off of Trevas.

"Well look at you now kid, you have some of the highest amounts of mana that we've ever seen!" One of them said, with Trevas looking still terribly confused "Uhh…Thanks?" The men would then take his papers...stamping it. MAGICAL POTENTIAL: S. After that test, Trevas was allowed to return to his barracks. He would only sigh, going to clean himself up. After that was said and done, he would lay on his bed. As he laid down, he felt relieved...taking one long breath. It wasn't long however before the Instructor burst into his barracks.

Then, all of a sudden, everything froze. He felt it, it was the same exact feeling he had when right before he was whisked away from life. "Hello…?" Trevas called out. "Hello, my child." God would speak to him through the mouth of the Instructor, making him genuinely curious on why he was here. "You may wonder why you have been tested for magic...yes?" "Well...yeah...I only thought that was the stuff of fairy tales, does it...exist, here?" "Yes, my child, Magic, mana, spells, and much more exist here...more advanced than you think. It is my blessing to those in this world...it is a blessing for you too." God explained "Your potential and aptitude was nothing before...and now, I have blessed you with the power to channel it."

"But...I don't get it, why does it exist? And how do I channel it, what will I even do with it…?" Trevas would ask...getting a small moment of silence in return. "All that...my child, shall be revealed in time." "No- wait!" Trevas called out, with some of the boys, who also completed their examinations, looking at him, as well as the instructor. "Get up maggot, you're to pack your stuff and be ready for transport tomorrow!" "Eh-Huh-What?" Trevas would say confused. "Uuuwhat? I told you to pack your stuff up! Do I need to tell you slowly so that you can get the message!?" "N-No Sir!" He stood up quickly, getting all of his things together, which was only a bunch of clothes and...an odd family photo.

Trevas would then sigh as he got everything together. "God...what are you doing to me." He would cram it all into a case, he didn't even know where he was going. Whatever...he could only hope it was somewhere good, hopefully it would be. Yeah...hopefully.
