Ayyo this one's going to be short. Like really short. It's almost 1 AM on May the Fourth (be with you) and I figured I'd crank out one quick story about my favorite Star Wars fan. Wasabi isn't confirmed a Star Wars fan but he is in my fics and headcanons, and so is his little brother, so let's go!

"Khary get down here or I'm going to start the movie without you!" Wesley yelled up the stairs.

"I'VE GOTTA FIND MY COSTUME!"

"Could you be quieter?" His mother asked, "Your father is upstairs trying to work."

"What's new?" Wes muttered, fidgeting on the couch. His mom just walked away, not arguing for once.

"Khary!" He yelled up again, staring at the paused beginning of A New Hope.

"I'm coming! I'm coming! We gotta have our lightsabers!" Wes snorted, remembering the many times he and Khary had had overzealous lightsaber battles when they were younger. Now Wesley was growing up and about to go to college, but he was still a big Star Wars nerd. So he was wearing his Darth Vader sweater on May the 4th, and he and his little brother were going to watch the original trilogy with the reverence it deserved. This was not their first Star Wars day.

They had popcorn, they had their zeal, they had their lovingly cared for DVDs, and now, with Khary plopping down in Yoda costume next to him on the old couch, they had their lightsabers.

"You're sith," Khary said, thrusting the red lightsaber at his older brother.

"Obviously," Wes said, cackling evilly. Khary was a better actor but Wesley played the role of the evil Sith Lord fairly well. He had years and years of practice after all.

"Do you think Damon is celebrating Star Wars day?" Khary asked, poking Wes in the chest with his blue lightsaber.

Wes paused, mulling it over. He knew that Damon wasn't a huge Star Wars fan. Damon nerded out over music instead of space movies, with the exception of Space Jam, but he'd still watch Star Wars with his brothers, even if he was on his phone for most of the run time. Without the enthusiasm of Khary and Wesley, there really wasn't much of a chance that Damon was celebrating anything other than Cinco De Mayo Eve.

But Khary didn't understand that his oldest brother didn't share those same interests with him. Damon sitting down to watch the movies with them mattered a lot to Khary, even if Damon was in a Galaxy far, far away now, living his own life, Khary found comfort in thinking that he and Damon shared the same hobbies. And they did share some things, but right now wasn't the time to burst the bubble that when they'd seen The Force Awakens Damon had forgotten who Han was and called him Indiana Jones for half the movie.

"Oh yeah, I'm sure he's celebrating."

Khary grabbed a fistful of popcorn and spoke with his mouth full, "Start the movie." Wes didn't have to be told twice.

The brothers were quickly caught up in the action and excitement. They loved each character, quoted 75% of the lines, and only tore their eyes away from the screen so that they didn't knock over the popcorn bowl. If it had been any other trilogy, if it had been Cars or Hobbit or Jurassic Park or anything else, Khary would have been asleep on Wes's shoulder by now. Khary didn't even look a little sleepy when they watched Star Wars though. He tried to battle Wesley as he put in The Empire Strikes Back.

"Don't make me use the force," Wes laughed, knocking away Khary's lightsaber.

"How many times have you seen these movies?" Khary asked, continuing to poke Wes in the back. It was really hard not to play with a lightsaber if you had one.

"A billion, probably." Wesley dropped back on the couch and stabbed his brother in the heart with his lightsaber, to get back at him for the constant assault.

"Whoa..." Wesley remembered the first time he'd seen the movie. Their dad had sat him and Damon down for the first movie them with the same enthusiasm some people saved for Disneyland. It had been a few years before Khary had been born, so it was just the three of them.

Aaron Ginger had introduced A New Hope to Damon and Wesley like he was talking about something life-changing, and to Wesley, it was, "Boys. This is my favorite movie ever. You're going to love it." Damon had fallen asleep the first time they saw the movie. Wes hadn't been able to look away from the screen. Aaron had shown them the rest of the movies, but that was the last time Wes remembered watching Star Wars with his dad. He assumed his dad still loved the movies, but he'd never seemed to have the time to watch them with his kids after the first time.

So Wesley had been the one to introduce Star Wars to Khary, "Khary, this is my favorite movie in the whole wide world. You're going to love it." After that, they were both obsessed. Even years and years later, they both watched the movies like it was their very first time.

"We should do this again soon," Khary mumbled as he headed upstairs after they finished Return of The Jedi. Wesley was prodding him in the back with his lightsaber, herding him towards his room.

"Absolutely," Wes agreed, but he knew that they wouldn't. As much as they'd watched these movies over the years, it was getting harder to make time for things like this. It was getting harder to stay close to his brothers.

But Star Wars day came around every year. And for now, that was enough.

Guess who should be working on finals right now? It's almost three in the morning now. I'm an idiot. I'm an absolute idiot.

Please review because otherwise why did I write this instead of going to bed or working on finals? I have two tests on Cinco De Mayo! Ahhhhhh.
