Hey guys! This is definitely not an original idea but hey, I wanted to try my hand at it.

Note that I haven't' read the comics (Even though I REALLY want to) so don't kill me if it isn't completely accurate.

Some background: No one knows about Peter being spiderman, not even Gwen.

Tony Stark walked out of his most recent conference, not very satisfied with the way it had gone. He pulled his phone out of his pocket, checking his messages.

3 messages from Fury

Tony frowned. It wasn't uncommon for Fury to send multiple messages when he was impatient, but it usually meant that something was wrong.

Or that Tony had messed something up, but that never happened. Obviously.

Tony called Fury back.

"Stark, I see you finally decided to check your phone," Fury answered almost immediately.

"No need to get cheeky Fury, what's up."

"I'm sure you've heard of the new guy in town. He goes by Spiderman."

Tony furrowed his brow, "The guy who shoots strings from his hands? Sure, he helped one of my interns when he was being mugged actually. Cool dude, why?"

"Haven't you heard of what happened two weeks ago? With the lizard mutant?" Fury asked.

"I was in Italy two weeks ago with Pepper. Sounds like I missed out though, what happened?"

"Spiderman fought some mutant lizard. We don't have very much information. We need to know what happened, do you read me Stark?"

Tony sighed, "You want me to talk to him?"

"If by talk you mean get me an audience with him, then yes. If he doesn't come willingly you might have to get creative."

"Fury, this might not be necessary. This spiderman person spends most of his time stopping bank robberies. He isn't a threat."

"Some people disagree. The Daily Bugle says that Spiderman created this lizard man. The Bugle is convinced that Spiderman is evil."

"The same things happen to most heroes with secret identities."

"Just bring him in Stark." The call ended.

Tony rolled his eyes and slipped his phone into his pocket. This seemed completely stupid to him, but he couldn't deny that he was a little bit curious as to who this spiderman was. After all, it was clear that he wasn't quite human.

So Tony got to work. First, he researched everything he could on the 'masked vigilante'. It was glaringly obvious that this guy (Tony determined that it was a guy based on his body structure) was trying to help people. However, it was also obvious that he was inexperienced. There was no technique to his fighting style. The guy was just shooting webs and throwing punches. And while he clearly had amazing reflexes, it wasn't enough to keep him from being injured.

Speaking of injuries, his suit did him no favors! It was clearly just spandex, and it looked horribly uncomfortable. It did nothing to protect him from any type of weapon.

"Jarvis, analyze all the footage we have on Spiderman. I want to know everything you got on this kid."

"Yes sir," Jarvis said. After a few moments, he said, "Scan complete. I've sent my findings to a file on your computer."

"Give me a quick recap of him."

"He's different than most humans. He is stronger, faster, and more agile. He also seems to sense attacks before they happen."

"That would explain his reflexes," Tony muttered to himself, going through the file.

"The webbing that he shoots is extremely strong, but it dissolves after an hour or two. The first time he was spotted was less than a year ago."

"What about his fighting style? Does he have a method?"

"It doesn't match any recorded techniques."

"I thought so," Stark said, "I probably should get some backup for this. I don't want this to drag on forever."

Peter's POV

Peter Parker tapped his pencil on his knee. Somehow school was still going!

It really had been a horrible day for him. He had been up late patrolling the night before, which resulted in him waking up late, which resulted in him having to skip breakfast. It would have been fine (it wasn't the first time that this had happened) if Flash hadn't shoved him during lunch, making him drop his food. Honestly, he could have saved his tray easily. But he was paranoid, the last thing he needed was for Flash to find out about his secret identity.

Flash took immense pleasure in discovering that Peter wouldn't be able to get another serving of food since the lunch ladies had already put it all away.

Peter looked at the clock again. 'Five more minutes,' He thought to himself. Jeez, he was so hungry right now.

Peter began to idly sketch his spiderman suit. Ugh, he really wanted a new one. However, he knew he couldn't afford it, especially since he was saving up for a better camera. The one he had worked, sure, but it wasn't as good as he wanted it to be.

Finally, the bell rang. Peter jumped out of his seat and was the first out the door. He quickly made his way to his locker.

At his locker, his spider-sense tingled and he knew he was about to get punched-

"Hey, Parker!" Flash shouted.

-in the arm.

"Not now Flash," Peter grumbled, "I've got a long day ahead of me as it is."

"Oh come on, you don't have time to spend with your best bud?" Flash asked sarcastically. Flash shoved him, causing Peter to 'stumble'. "Whatever, I have better things to do anyway," Flash sneered, and with that, he pranced off.

Peter sighed with relief. He didn't have the energy to deal with Flash right now. He couldn't wait to get home and eat.

Twenty minutes and one subway ride later, Peter got home. He made a beeline for the pantry after a brief greeting to Aunt May. He grabbed an armful of food and went to his room.

Finally, he could do what he wanted!

Peter switched on his police radio. No surprise, nothing was happening at the moment. He went to his backpack and got his homework. He knew that he needed to do it fast if he wanted to patrol tonight. He had a lot of homework.

Peter got out his chemistry homework and got to work.

One hour later

"All units, we have a robbery of the jewelry store off of 9th street"

Peter furrowed his brow, looking at the radio. A jewelry store robbery? In broad daylight? Usually big places were robbed at night.

"Are there any hostages?" another voice asked.

"Yeah, definitely. They seem to be in a lot of danger! We have no way to get to them."

Peter cursed. He hated people sometimes.

He quickly got into his suit and headed to the jewelry store.

When Peter arrived he was incredibly confused.

For one thing, there were only two cop cars. Usually there were at least four in a hostage situation.

For another thing, they didn't seem to be doing much. Sure they had their guns out, but they were just sitting there!

"Do I have to do everything myself?" Peter grumbled.

Peter swung in through a conveniently open window. He took in his surroundings. It was very calm, they must be in another room or somethi-

Peter's spider-sense jolted. Peter ducked as someone's arm swung right where his head was.

"You know, you guys chose the wrong store to rob. Why would you do it in broad-" Peter stopped cold when he saw who tried to punch him, "Iron Man?

"We just want to talk," Iron Man said.

Peter's brain had a hard time processing what was going on, so he said something really intelligent like, "Um, what?"

"We want to talk to you," he repeated.

"Is this about the Lizard guy?" Peter asked, "Because I'm pretty sure that's all taken care of."

"I saw that," Tony said, "That was an impressive fight."

Peter frowned, a spark of anger flashed in his stomach, "You saw that? And you didn't help? People died,"

"I was out of the country, hotshot. I saw videos."

Peter didn't like it, but he let it go.

"This isn't a real robbery is it?" Peter asked.

"Nope. The police were more than happy to assist. Why do they hate you so much?"

Peter decided to ignore that, "So what is this then? Some sort of interrogation?"

"Of sorts," Iron Man said, "Why don't we come to my place? It will be much more comfortable, we could have refreshments too."

"How about no," Peter said uneasily. He shifted his weight from side to side nervously.

Tony sighed, "Alright fine, have it your way kid. Let's get straight to the point then. You've caught the attention of some important people."

"Who?"

"S.H.I.E.L.D. I can't remember what it stands for, so don't ask. They are the ones who got the avengers together. They specialize in this stuff, and they want to talk to you."

"Why?" Spiderman asked, "I'm not a threat."

"They know- well, I know that. I don't really know why they want to get you so bad, but I can't deny that I'm curious. You just appeared out of nowhere. You have some awesome powers kid."

"Why do you keep calling me kid? You don't know who I am." Peter asked nervously.

Tony furrowed his brow, he hadn't really realized that he had called him kid, "I don't know, you're pretty short I guess. You sound young."

Peter crossed his arms, "I'm not that short, your suit probably adds 4 inches to your hight."

Tony scoffed, "Anyways, we were hoping you would come with me to answer some questions."

"I'm not too keen on giving away my secrets," Peter said.

"Well, you could probably keep your identity if it makes you feel better," Tony said.

"Not really," Peter said, "I've been fine on my own."

"You have a loose definition of fine kid. Honestly, you seem to get stabbed or shot every week."

"Those were lucky hits," Peter protested, "And I'm getting better."

"Face it, you need us," Iron Man said, "You've been doing mediocre at best alone."

Anger flared inside Peter. How dare Iron Man tell him that he wasn't good enough when he was too 'important' to even consider doing the things Peter did.

Peter helped people! What he did was important! He saved lives every single day!

Peter clenched his fists, "I don't need you! I don't need someone who wastes his days trying to figure out how to get more money! You don't even care about the people! All you look for is profit! You want to profit from me? Well let me tell you, it's not happening! I'm not just a yes man for you to figure out!"

"How dare you say something like that!" Tony shouted, shock mixed with anger. He went to grab Peter's shoulder, but Peter webbed him (possibly more than necessary) to the wall. Peter then quickly shot a web out of the window.

"He's moving!" Peter heard Iron Man shout as he propelled himself away.

Peter's spider-sense tingled, so Peter ducked and rolled in midair to avoid what seemed to be an arrow that would have hit him in the chest.

Peter couldn't believe it. They were shooting at him?!

Two more shots quickly followed. Peter was able to dodge them, although only just. One more came when Peter was sticking to a building. Peter caught the arrow.

"Find someone else to bully!" Peter shouted. He threw the arrow back in the direction they came and started to swing away.

However, he didn't expect Hawkeye to shoot his webbing.

Peter found himself falling. He quickly tried to shoot another web, but Hawkeye shot that one too. And the next one. And the next.

Peter desperately flailed. He was too low, even if he managed to get a web up, he was too close to the ground. His swing would drive him straight to the ground.

He shot a web straight up in desperation. It flew into the sky uselessly. Peter cried out as the pavement came closer.

He landed hard on his back. He skidded on the pavement like a rock and came to a hard stop when he ran into a dumpster.

His brain barely registered the pain before everything went dark.

And that is the end of chapter 1! I plan on having at least three chapters, so hang on for the ride! I'll post chapter 2 next week.

Any feedback would be amazing! Let me know if you liked it!

Love you guys!
