"We need to talk about your Quirk. Come meet me in the lounge at eleven o'clock, okay?"
As he walked to the usual lounge where he would meet All Might to chat, Izuku Midoriya mulled over the text message from his mentor. In light of what had happened, he hadn't been surprised to receive it at all, but the blunt start to it was more symbolic of Mr Aizawa than it was All Might. The tone at the end somewhat reassured him that everything would be alright- of course it was reassuring, it was All Might- but there was something else to that message. A sense of urgency, an understanding.
The news had affected All Might, and he knew why.
He'd had plenty of time to think about it, after all. He'd been lying in the usual bed in Recovery Girl's office since the incident early that morning, and but for the company of the nurse as she pottered around, he'd been left alone as the others went to class. He knew why All Might would be shaken. Correction, why Toshinori Yagi would be shaken.
He also knew why he was shaken. His conviction in the decision he had made, lying in that hospital bed on his own and steadying himself, was ironclad. He would not waver, and he would tell his predecessor exactly what he needed to do for his future. But this was him telling All Might, a man who had given so much to him. He would be lying if he said he wasn't just a little nervous, but he needed this.
He reached the room to find the door already open. He still knocked though; his respect for All Might was just too ingrained to do otherwise.
"Ah, Young Midoriya is here. Come on in!"
At any other time, Izuku would have walked straight in just fine. He was so used to these meetings with All Might now; he knew so much about the man behind the smile, had been on such a journey with him. He didn't even get wobbly fanboy knees anymore at the thought of lunch with his idol and mentor, although he still went back to class with a beaming smile on his face after any day they ate together.
And yet today, just for a second before he went in, he paused and took a deep breathe before he stepped into the lounge, shutting the door behind him. It was what he needed.
"H-hey, All Might. I guess you want to know what happened too, huh?"
The former Symbol of Peace didn't get up from the battered green sofa he was currently sat on, a soft look on his face. "I've been filled in on a few details, but I wouldn't be a very good teacher and mentor if I didn't check you're alright myself. Please, come sit."
Izuku rubbed the back of his head sheepishly, sliding into a seat on the other side of the table as All Might pushed a cup of tea across to him. "I'm sorry for worrying you, A-All Might..." He paused. "How's Uraraka-san? Recovery Girl told me you needed to speak to her before I left her office and went back to class."
There was a flicker on All Might's face which Izuku couldn't read, but it went in an instant. "She's fine, Midoriya. I wanted to talk to her about the details before I spoke to you." His mentor looked at him. "She stepped in and saved you, I hear."
"Y-Yeah, she's getting pretty good at that these days. Although I'm still a little shady on the details."
All Might laughed, ruefully. "First Blackwhip, and now this." He shook his head. "What do you remember?"
"Umm..." Izuku paused, a little unnerved at how straight to business All Might was. "Do you want me to explain what happened in my head too?"
"Please. Anything you can."
"Okay. I... I remember dreaming. I remember being airborne in my dream and landing on a rooftop, and she was there..."
"She?" All Might leaned forward, but there was a reserved look on his face. Izuku could tell that he knew, but he just wanted to hear it confirmed.
"Yeah... N-Nana. Your mentor."
All Might breathed out, as if he'd been holding his breath for a long time. There was a brief pause, before Izuku's teacher leaned back. "How was she?"
Izuku didn't hesitate. "She couldn't stop smiling."
All Might's own face cracked, a small smile spreading across the gaunt face of Nana's pupil, his gaze wobbling slightly with emotion. "Of course she couldn't. She never did stop."
"And neither will we."
All Might paused, shaken for a second by Izuku's words and the firm gaze determined to meet his own, before reaching up to push a tear away before it could become the first of many. "... No we won't, young Midoriya. You're not wrong there." He took a deep breath and steadied himself. "Did she say anything to you?"
"Um, y-yeah... she said to me that it was time to grow again. Time to open my heart and accept her power as my own. She sort of reached out to me to touch me here..." Izuku raised his scarred right hand to his face and pressed the tip of his index finger between his eyebrows, as All Might's eyes widened at his description. "And then there was loads of light and-"
"And you woke up hovering in midair above the U.A. Campus at half past seven in the morning, about three hundred feet off the ground and rising fast, correct?"
Izuku coughed at All Might's interruption. "S-Something like that, yeah... all I remember is screaming, Uraraka jumping up from the ground and shouting that she'd come to get me, and then I blacked out."
"Uraraka told me how she found you." All Might took a moment to collect himself and looked coolly at Izuku. "Apparently you gave her the idea to go out for early morning runs. She found you hovering in midair in your pyjamas, eyes shut, levitating, and rising fast. When she called your name you started climbing higher, screamed and passed out before she could get to you. You'd made it about five hundred feet at that point."
"Izuku gulped. "I-I didn't have it under control. I'm so glad Uraraka found me, I could have gone miles."
All Might shook his head. "I shouldn't be surprised. Nana probably would have found it hilarious... I think I can see what happened, though."
"I d-didn't even know I was using it though. I was-"
"Asleep at the wheel. Whatever your body was doing was entirely the work of your subconscious, while you dreamed and spoke to Nana." All Might paused. "So she's given you her Quirk, now."
"R-Right. Float, as well as Blackwhip, as a new part of One For All." Izuku scratched his head again, sheepishly. "I didn't expect it to develop again so soon."
"Nor me." All Might leaned forward, resting his elbows on the table and looking directly into Izuku's green eyes. "As your teacher, therefore, I'd say we need to start some extra lessons off soon. I've spoken to Eraser and Nezu, and we've been able to secure Gym Theta in the evenings. Nana told me a few things about her Quirk which might be of use to you if we're to get a grip on-"
"Actually, I've kinda made a decision about that, All Might. About Float, and One For All."
All Might paused. "... What sort of decision?"
This was it. This was the moment Izuku had been waiting for, the moment he had decided on when he woke up in Recovery Girl's office and was told what had happened. It was fair, and it was what he needed more than anything.
A kindred spirit.
"... I want Uraraka-san to teach me how to control Float. And... I want to tell her the truth about One For All. Everything about me."
The silence was heavy as Izuku looked into those deep, blue eyes. He rested his hand on his knee and gripped, aware his leg was shaking with trepidation.
There was a sigh. "... Go on."
Izuku gulped at the brevity of his idol's reply. "I was thinking when I came to in the hospital. Every time I have struggled with One For All, and every time I've been at risk for the first time due to my Quirk, Uraraka has been there to save me."
"...True," All Might admitted, his voice even. "Today, and the first time Blackwhip emerged in the battle with Class 1-B-"
"And the Entrance Exam," Izuku interrupted, eagerly. "Even though she was injured, she caught me when One For All broke my body."
"You did destroy a massive zero-pointer just to keep her safe," All Might said, chuckling a little despite himself. "That was a long time ago, I almost forgot. You've come a long way in that time, Young Midoriya."
"T-Thank you," Izuku stuttered, briefly knocked back by the compliment. "But that's the thing. Each time my Quirk has exploded out for the first time, she's kept me safe. She's protected me."
"And how does this link to you wanting to tell her about One For All? And Float?"
"Float is an easier one to answer. I know you trained under Nana, so you'll be aware of some of the workings of her Quirk and her secrets, but think about Uraraka. The amount of work she's put in to control Zero Gravity, to build up her tolerance to its side effects and to come up with new ways to protect people and beat villains while using it. Think how far I could come using Float with her as a teacher!"
"A well-made point. Your eye for Quirk strengths and weaknesses strikes again."
"All Might, there's nobody I admire more than her for how hard she works for her dream."
"Excuse me?"
"Ohhhh, s-sorry. I admire her as much as you. Just, differently."
All Might laughed, shaking his head. "It's fine, kid. I knew what you meant. Of all your peers she means the most to you."
"Exactly. And that's why she deserves to know about One For All."
All Might lifted a hand and lifted a bony finger. "Okay, the argument about Float? That's one. Now why tell her about One For All? The Quirk I told you to keep secret from people."
"Because of what Nana told me I need to do. To open my heart."
All Might looked taken aback for a second. "Wha-what do you mean?"
Izuku closed his eyes, and steeled himself. "You have a few people on your life who know your secret and who you trust to know about One For All. Me, Gran Torino, Recovery Girl, Detective Tsukauchi-"
"And you want Uraraka to be part of that side of things for you." All Might sighed. "You know how much risk you'd be putting her at by opening up like this?"
"I guess. But All Might, she's seen three sides to my Quirk now. Three completely different sides. It was hard enough explaining Blackwhip away to some people when it looked nothing like my Full Cowling, but now I'm expected to lie to Uraraka about levitation, an ability I've never had before?" Izuku shook his head. "I can't do that to her."
All Might smiled. "Your admiration for her is strong."
"Y-Yeah. It is." Izuku took a deep breath. "She reached out to me on the first day when I was so lost and so used to being left out by others. She saved me when my Quirk got the better of me, time and time again. She told me that Deku was a cute nickname and n-not something to be ashamed of. She's the reason I chose that name as a hero-"
"Seriously?"
"I never told you? She's the reason I wear that name with pride." Izuku smiled to himself, his eyes lighting up. "She gave me the belief and drive to do my best, because I know she's there looking out for me and doing her best to. I have so much to thank her for and so much I want to share with her."
"I think I see."
"You do?"
"Nana told you to open your heart and accept her Quirk as yours," All Might said, a bright glint in those blue eyes. "You trust Uraraka so much that as part of opening your heart, you want her to know everything. You want to follow someone you admire and learn from her, and give her the truth you think she deserves."
"You th-think I'd be okay to do that?"
All Might said nothing for a second, before lifting a second bony finger. "... She always knew what was best. Happiness before anything else."
"I can... tell her?"
All Might nodded. "Of course. The greatest part of happiness is someone to pull through adversity and share in triumph with."
"Woah." Izuku looked admiringly at his mentor. "Who said that?"
"... I stole it from an inspirational quotes page."
"SERIOUSLY?!"
"Ha!" All Might genuinely laughed at his protégé's disbelieving face. "Come on kid, I'm not a fortune cookie! Leave the poetry to Present Mic, not me."
Izuku shook his head, but there was a smile to it. "You're unbelievable, All Might."
"I know. But hey, listen to me for a second..." All Might lifted a third bony finger. "I'm fine with you telling her. I told people I trusted with my life, and your bond with Uraraka is more than strong enough. She has seen so much of your Quirk that it is only fair. But if you're going to listen to Nana's advice and open your heart, you can't be half-assed about it."
"Wh-What do you mean?"
"Be honest about your feelings towards Uraraka." All Might smiled the most devious smile to ever come off the face of a hero. "You really like her, don't you young Midoriya?"
"... WAAAAAAAH?!"
"HA! I knew it!" All Might leaned back and laughed, as bombastic as he could ever manage in his heroic form, as Izuku went bright red and frantic before him. "Let me guess, you weren't just having any old dream when Nana appeared and told you to open your heart? She wanted to meddle because you were dreaming about a certain someone!"
"Haaaaaah..."
"Nana always was a romantic at heart, you know. It figures that she'd consider accepting your feelings as part of the process of mastering Float. If you're going to open your heart, after all, it has to be what you feel that comes out, not just what you are." All Might paused. "And before you say anything, that one did come from Nana. Not a quotes page."
"..."
"Midoriya? Did I break you?" All Might looked at his apprentice to see him with his head down, legs tapping nervously. "Are you alright?"
"Y-Yeah... All Might?"
"Hmm?"
"How do I tell her?"
All Might paused for a minute on hearing Izuku's voice, so small and timid all of a sudden. "... Tell her you like her?"
"Yeah. I... I really do like her. But... I'm scared of saying that."
All Might's eyes widened. "You're scared? Why?"
Izuku gulped. "Well, um, I don't know if she feels the same about me as I do. And I don't know if she would want a r-relationship like that or-"
"How do you feel about her?"
"Honestly? She's amazing." Izuku paused, briefly shocked at how certain he sounded and how quickly that came out, but he couldn't stop there. Not when talking about Uraraka. "She is so kind, and so determined to make a difference in the world. She works so hard to better herself that it gives me motivation to work harder and be the best hero I can be. We work really well as a team and understand each other. She's... beautiful."
He looked at All Might, who had one eyebrow raised as if asking for more. "It doesn't matter how dark things get, I can see her smile and feel there's hope, I can see her face and find happiness somewhere. When I was at my lowest, with the most self-doubt, she saw things in me nobody else saw. She's one of a kind, All Might, and I can't think of anyone I'd rather share my highs and get through my lows with."
"So why do you feel she wouldn't want a relationship with you, when she clearly thinks so highly of you? Is this the classic Young Midoriya low self-esteem, or something else?"
"Well, it's not necessarily that." Izuku bowed his head. "I-I still feel she could do so much better than me, but it's more that I admire her determination to succeed so much. She works so hard to become the best hero possible, and I w-wouldn't want her to feel that a relationship could get in the way of her succeeding. I just-"
"Hey, none of that, young Midoriya."
"Wha-?"
"This advice is going to come from me, not Nana, not a quotes page, not anything else, so listen well." All Might leaned forward and reached out with his other hand, the one not currently holding three fingers in the air, and gripped Izuku's knee. "I lived a life after Nana where I put everyone else first. All Might, the Symbol of Peace. Yeah, sure, I had people around me I could trust. But I never found someone who made me feel the way that you clearly do about Uraraka."
All Might looked up, a soft look in his eyes. "I just heard how easily it came out from you there, how special she makes you feel. You didn't stumble on your words once, which shows me how genuine your feelings are. If she's special to you, tell her. Whatever future you want to make with her, don't let it slip away if you get the chance... I've probably said too much haven't I?"
"N-No." Izuku looked up, a few tears running down his cheeks. "... Thank you, All Might. It means a lot to share the truth about how I feel about her. The whole truth."
"I'm glad, Young Midoriya." All Might sniffed, and Izuku chuckled wetly at the sight of his hero trying and failing to hold on without crying. "You've turned me into a damn cry-baby like you these days."
"Heh, sorry about that." Izuku smiled. "I guess I should find her and tell her then."
"About One For All, and how you feel about her?"
"Yep!"
"Y-Yeah, about that..." All Might's smile grew, with an edge not unlike Midnight's at her darkest.
"A-All Might?!"
"You may have already told her how you feel."
"Wh-"
"See, I seem to remember being passed a quote from a young wannabe hero not so long ago. Something like..." The smile widened, shark-like. "Meddling in other people's business is the essence of a hero. Ring any bells?"
"What did you-"
"Oh, I didn't do too much." All Might laughed, barking, his eyes straying over Izuku's shoulder to the back of the lounge. "In my defence, you didn't ask me what I talked about with Uraraka. Or, more importantly, whether she left after our talk."
"WHAAAAA-"
"H-Hey, Deku."
Izuku leaped out of his seat at the sound of the voice. Her voice. The voice that made him melt a little inside every time he heard it, and the voice of his dream before Nana stuck her nose in. "U-Uraraka?! What are y-you doing here-"
"All Might c-came to talk to me after I got you to Recovery Girl," Uraraka replied, fiddling slightly with her hair and her left ear as she walked from round the corner out of sight to stand just behind Izuku's chair. Izuku could tell she was a little flustered; she wasn't as red as he was, by any stretch, but there was a blush across both cheeks that was clearly dying down from peak intensity. "We had quite a long chat before you got here... a-about your Quirk."
"You see, I too came to the same conclusion as you." Izuku jumped at All Might's voice, seeing his mentor pick up the cup of tea he hadn't touched as if to tidy up. "Uraraka has seen three sides of One For All now, and has protected you each time something new has exploded. She deserved to know from me too, as the source of your power and your mentor."
"So y-you know about me being Quirkless now, Uraraka?" Izuku asked Uraraka, mouth hanging open slightly in shock as he turned back to the fidgeting girl. "You know about One For All and-"
He was interrupted as she jumped forward, and for a second he didn't know what was going on. Then he felt her arms wrap around his back and her head buried into the crook of his neck, and he blushed even harder. She was hugging him.
"... Ochaco."
"Huh?"
"C-Call me Ochaco, Deku." She lifted her head from his shoulder and looked at his eyes with the brightest smile, one that made his heart skip a beat. "It's... only right, y'know."
"O-Ochaco..." He smiled, and wrapped his own arms around her, shaking just a little. "I may need to get used to that."
She laughed, before her brown eyes met his own green eyes, her face soft. "Like your new Quirk too, huh?"
"I guess so. I'm... sorry I worried you so much, O-Ochaco."
She shook her head, the faint smile growing. "I stayed with you while you were with Recovery Girl to check you were alright, but I just didn't want you climbing higher and being stuck up there. I'm glad you're okay now. And hey..." She looked at him with a little smirk. "I've seen you worse. Entrance Exam, remember?"
Izuku laughed, despite himself. "Yeah, it takes a lot to beat that." He stared at her. "S-So you heard everything we talked about?"
"Y-Yeah. I was hiding round the corner to surprise you because All Might told me to, but between him telling me about One For All before and your talk with him now, I've got a good picture." She squeezed him slightly. "I know y-you've got a lot to do to get used to Float, and if you think I'm the best person to teach you I'll do my best, Deku. I was actually gonna volunteer to give you some tips even if Mr Yagi hadn't told me everything, but... it means a lot you'd want my help more than anyone, Deku."
"Izuku," he said without thinking, and his heart leaped again as that blush spread across her cheeks. "You can call me Izuku too, Ochaco-"
"Yeah, but Deku's cuter." She stuck her tongue out at him and his heart leaped again.
"Ahem."
Both Izuku and Ochaco jumped slightly at the pointed cough from their teacher, sat back on the sofa and pointedly looking at them both. They separated from their hug in an instant. "S-sorry!"
He shook his head, but smiled. "I knew you two were in sync but jeez, this is on another level."
"He said I should sit round the corner while you had the talk about your Quirk," she said, fidgeting slightly. "I thought the idea was to surprise you that I knew after all, and then discuss how we were gonna train Float together. I d-didn't know-"
"He was going to trick both of us into another talk, huh?" Izuku said, staring at All Might and very aware that as much as he wanted to glare at him, he just couldn't.
"Yeah, I know, but I heard someone talk about opening his heart and thought to myself, maybe now is the time to have this talk. After all..." All Might nudged Izuku slightly with a wry smile. "You'd trip over yourself constantly trying to say that to Uraraka on your own."
"Hey!" Uraraka giggled behind Izuku, and he turned. "What's that supposed to mean huh?"
"I know, I know, we both overthink and get ourselves worked up." She shook her head, the blush still strong. "We need to get better at that, huh?"
"R-Right," Izuku said, right hand fiddling with his head nervously, aware of All Might's expectant gaze. "Um, Ur- Ochaco?"
"Y-Yeah?"
"I... I know what I said and I stand by it. You're amazing, and nobody means more to me than you do. I... really like you. I just don't want to get in the way. I know how hard you work and I know how much becoming a Pro Hero means to you, and if you don't want to do anything because you want to focus on your future then I completely-"
"Deku?"
"Huh?"
She leaned across the top of the chair, arms resting on the top of the chair, and in an instant planted a kiss onto his lips. That one moment was shorter than Izuku wanted, and yet everything he had ever dreamed about at the same time. He could smell her hair and her perfume, taste her. He could feel the heat from the blush on her face. One perfect moment.
She leaned back and looked him in the eyes, gaze steady despite her blush and trembling arms. "I-I don't wanna overthink anymore."
"O-Ochaco?"
"I spent so long telling myself that I couldn't let my crush on you get in the way of your dreams or mine. That I couldn't hold you back, or myself back. But we both want the same things Deku." Her smile was cuter than Izuku had ever seen it. "We both want to be the best we can be, and we both want to share that with each other. So let's have both, o-okay?"
He couldn't say anything to that. The only proper thing he could do was to close his eyes, be braver than he ever had been, and lean in to kiss her. No more holding back, no more hiding from the truth. He liked Ochaco, and she liked him. What more needed to be said than that?
After a moment that lasted a lifetime, he opened his eyes to see a look of bliss on her face, and while she was still blushing as much as him, there was a sparkle in her eyes. "Worth the wait, Deku-kun."
"Same for me, Ochaco..." He rested his forehead against hers and kissed the tip of her nose now, heart bouncing out of his chest. "I'm warning you, i-if we do this, I may be a pretty bad first boyfriend."
She wrapped her arms around him and buried her head into his shoulder, suppressing a chuckle. "Hey, I've waited long enough to be asked to be your girlfriend. I can't tell you how happy I am right now."
"Girlfriend..." Izuku squeezed his own arms together around her, taking in the smell of her hair and closing his eyes. "I could get used to that."
"My work here is done."
Izuku opened his eyes and stared over Ochaco's shoulder at All Might, one hand pointedly raised to gesture towards the door of the lounge. "Are you still here?"
"Excuse me?" All Might raised an eyebrow as Ochaco shook with laughter. "Getting you two lovesick puppies to finally admit your feelings and take this step is my handiwork, so less of that. Besides, you're in a teacher's lounge. It's you two who are outstaying your welcome."
"Thank you All Might," Ochaco said with a smile, before Deku could come back at his mentor with another joke. "I think w-we both needed that push."
"Yeah, you're not kidding," Izuku agreed, letting go of Ochaco and turning to All Might with a thumbs up. "Thank you, All Might. This means everything to me. To us."
"My pleasure, you two." All Might grinned, jerking a thumb at the door. "Now go get yourselves ahead of the queue for Lunch Rush, before everyone else leaves class. I'll text you both about your Float training later this evening."
They didn't need to say anything else, unwrapping from their hug with Izuku gently taking Ochaco's hand and trying not to ball up in a flustered mess as she ran her fingers gently over the scars on his hand. He let her lead him to the door of the staff lounge, just about to head out...
"Uraraka!"
They both paused and spun at the sound of All Might's voice, Uraraka meeting the gaze of the former Symbol of Peace. "Yes sir?"
"Take good care of him for me, okay? He's a lively one, but he's lucky to have you."
To her credit, she didn't fluster, instead bunching the hand not holding Izuku into a determined fist and nodding at him. "I'll keep him safe with everything I've got, I promise you."
"I know you will. Thank you. And Midoriya?"
"Y-Yeah?"
"Take good care of her in turn. Grow together, make memories together, and don't ever lose sight of the bond you share. You're a lucky boy."
"I'll remind myself of that every day," Izuku replied, squeezing Ochaco's hand in his own. "Thank you, All Might."
All Might watched them leave, Izuku following Uraraka and seemingly in awe still at his current situation. He was in safe hands with that girl and All Might knew it; from their lengthy discussions before Midoriya had arrived, it was clear how much she adored and admired him in equal measure. A little meddling in the face of such strength of feelings was all but a moment's work for the Symbol of Peace, and he knew he would do it again without hesitation. Young Midoriya was happier than he'd ever seen him.
"You were right, Nana," he muttered to himself, one bony finger wiping a tear off of a skeletal cheek. "He did need to open his heart."
And you were right to guide him, Toshinori.
He almost jumped out of his skin at the voice, a brief murmur as if a breeze. He knew what this was without hesitation from the warmth stirring within him, in the deepest pits from which he used to drag up the embers of One For All. "Nana?"
She will be the making of him. He would understand my Quirk and find a way to make it his own without her, I'm sure. But he needs her by his side, to understand and help him, to ground him and yet to drive him on.
"He truly will become a great hero with her by his side."
Exactly. He couldn't be more worthy of One For All, and she couldn't be more devoted. They will go far. There was a pause, and the warmth inside Toshinori Yagi's heart began to die down. I'm so proud of you, Toshinori. Never forget that.
As the warmth died, and the hairs on the back of his neck died down, All Might took a moment to compose himself, and wipe away the few tears that had escaped at the sound of her voice. Everything he did had been to honour her memory, and now he had done right by her one more time. "... Thank you, Nana."
He straightened up and looked up to the corridor with a wide smile on his face. "I'm so happy for you, Young Midori-"
"OI! DEKU!"
"Oh crap."
"DEKU YOU DAMN NERD WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU THIS- WHAT?! WHAT IS THE MEANING IS THIS?"
"Hey Bakugo wait u- HOLY SHIT! MINA, ASUI, HAGAKURE, LOOK OVER HERE!"
"Sero what are you AHHHH ARE THEY HOLDING HANDS?! FINALLY!"
"Told you so, ribbit."
"SOOOO CUTE! Kirishima you owe me 1000 yen!"
"Dammit Hagakure, can I pay you next week?"
"YOU'RE HOLDING HANDS WITH ROUNDFACE? HOW THE HELL DO YOU GET A GIRLFRIEND OF ALL PEOPLE?"
"Public displays of affection in the hallway, this is most inappropriate!"
"Iida, I know you're happy for them. Congratulations, both of you."
"I couldn't be prouder, but still there's a time and a-"
"DEKU YOU BASTARD! HOW ARE YOU AHEAD OF ME AGAIN?"
All Might sweatdropped at the sounds from down the corridor as Izuku and Ochaco were cornered by their mostly over-excited classmates, with the girls crowding Ochaco and with Kirishima and Todoroki having to haul Bakugo back from trying to murder an increasingly flustered Izuku. "Although there are some things I don't think I can help you with..."

A/N: Guess what I've been binging during lockdown?
This anime is near-perfect with stunning music and so much emotion, and full of some frankly awesome characters (Kirishima is my favourite, and I want to write about him in future, as well as Jiro and Toga/Twice/Compress). I want to write so much more in this fandom, but first of all I just had to dip my toe with this perfect ship; easily one of my favourites now, if not my absolute favourite ship. These two superb characters deserve the world and each other in equal measure.
I hope the tying together of One For All, Float and opening up to Uraraka is sensible enough. Given the Quirk similarities, it would make sense to me that this is the point at which Deku asks All Might to tell her about OFA. Likewise I hope I write the two precious ones well enough.
Any feedback is always appreciated. Reviews, favourites, and messages are appreciated as much; just no flames about preferring other ships, please.
Ya boy, out.
