Mario and Luigi: Paper Jam

Entering into the vast heat and the sandy land of Doop Doop Dunes desert, the group looked off into the distance. "That's the castle I was talking about" Parakarry said, pointing off into the distance. Starlow came out of Mario's pocket and floated over towards the mailman. "That's a Bowser's castle alright" Starlow said, and everyone looked off into the distance, seeing the big castle that belonged to the Koopa King, wondering what was happening over there.

Bowser's Castle:

"Hey, I have to ask, does your paper hammer really work" a Hammer Bros asked his Paper self. "Well, I can clonk you on the head and we'll see what happens" the Paper Hammer Bro said. "…No thanks" the non paper minion replied. Meanwhile, multiple Shy Guys and Paper Shy Guys began form a line and walk around, before they realized they were being copied by each other. "HEY" they both yelled. "FALL IN MINIONS" Kammy Koopa yelled, the minions, having dropped whatever they were doing, moved in to listen to the Magikoopa. "LET"S HEAR YOUR RALLY CRIES, GOOMBA'S"

"OUR BODIES MAY BE STOMPED, BUT OUR WILL CANNOT BE CRUSHED, WE WILL FORGE AHEAD!"

"KOOPA'S"

"WOE TO THOSE WHO HAVE STEPPED ON US. OUR SHELLS ARE STRONG…BUT OUR SPIRIT IS STRONGER"

The cries of the minions echoed into the halls of the castle, where a present Bowser Jr. and Paper Bowser Jr. where doing their guard duty. "Man, I am so booooooooooooooooooooooored" the kid whined, his paper self was thinking the same thing, lying down on the ground and looking at his phone. "At least we're getting paid to watch the princesses" Paper Junior said, patting the sack of money that was next to him. "By the way, where are you from, just curious" the non paper Koopa Prince said. Paper Bowser Jr. got off his phone and scratched his head. "Well… Kamek and Kammy said something about a special little book, so I'm guessing I'm from there" he said.

"…So if we had that book, you would have to go back home, right" Junior asked. "I guess so" his paper counterpart said. "But you can't go home, you're the only thing that keeps me dying from boredom" Junior cried. "Yeah… I just had an idea, let's find the book and destroy it, problem solved" the paper junior said. "Oh perfect, and our dads would be proud of us as well" Junior said. "…So, any idea of where the book is" the Koopa prince asked. "Nope, I have no idea" Paper Junior replied.

While that was happening, the two princesses where trying to figure out how to escape. "There has to be some way out of here" Peach whispered, her paper counterpart nodded, examining the cage, before walking straight out of the cage. "Oh my, why didn't I think of that, you could just escape so easily" Peach said, before looking over at the kids, who were about to leave and find the book. "So, I've got our way out, now all we have to do is distr-"

"HEY KOOPA BROS" Junior yelled, immediately, the Koopa Bros. jumped in out of nowhere, giving a thumbs up to no one in particular. "You called Lord Junior" Red Ninjakoopa asked. "I need you to watch the princesses for us, we're going to go look for something" Paper Junior said. "Of course, you can count on us" the Koopa Bros took the place as the guards.

"WHO IS THE STRONGEST" Kamek asked.

"MASTER BOWSER"

The minions cheered as the elite trio came in, spraying confetti and blowing some trumpets. "Now that I have two armies, there is no one to stop me from taking over the Mushroom Kingdom" Bowser roared. "I will crush Mario and his friends and grind them into dust" Bowser roared again. The minions cheered as Bowser began to talk, ignoring the fact that Paper Bowser wasn't getting any speaking time. Paper Bowser but in, leaving Bowser to head into the back, giving a confused look. "We'll do whatever it takes to tear them into bloody pieces and toss those pieces into a burning pile of trash, then Peach's castle will be ours" Paper Bowser roared.

"HECK YEAH DUDE" the minions yelled, chanting "MASTER BOWSER" more as the two Bowser's argued.

Doop Doop Dunes:

"Does anyone want to know what's happening over there" Goombario asked. "I kind of don't want to know" Mario replied. "Well, we won't know by just standing here, we need to go and save the princesses" Starlow said. Heading back into Mario's pocket, the group was about to head off into the desert. "MARIO, RABBIT AT TEN O'CLOCK" Luigi screamed. "Luigi, I have n-NABBIT" Mario screamed, getting Koops attention. "Huh, you mean the robber from the castle" the Koopa asked, Mario and Luigi nodded. "I also remember running into that guy, he might have some of my letters" Parakarry said, "Well, what are we waiting for, let's catch that thief" Goombella said. The group chased after the thief, dodging a few Spiny's along the way. Nabbit noticed the group and quickly made a run for it. "Get back here you" Goombario yelled, running ahead to head bonk the enemy, but Nabbit jumped out of the way and ran ahead, letting Goombario dive head first into the sand. "Gee, you shouldn't run ahead kid, otherwise that could happen" Mario said, pulling the paper Goomba out of the sand.

"I'm no child other Mario, I'm fifteen, a teenager" the Goomba with the blue hat said. "…of course, my bad, let's just go find Nabbit" Mario stepped in front and the group went on where they lost Nabbit. "Dang it where did he go, hey you, have you see him" Bombette asked Nabbit, who shook his head, "Oh we-HEY, NABBIT" Mario dove in to catch him, but Nabbit dropped a sign and jumped over Mario. Mario got up and looked at the sign which read "Sorry Mario, but I need this stuff".

"You need Bros. Attacks and a bunch of letters" Mario looked up, the Rabbit shrugged and ran off farther into the desert, not before tripping over a rock and dropping a Bros. Attack of course. "That guy sure is stubborn" Koops mumbled, "He helped me out one time, but it was a trick and he went to Peach's Castle and stole most of her belongings" Luigi whispered over to Koops. Mario ran forward and picked up the Bros. Attack, and tossed it to Luigi, who was caught off guard and dropped the pointed end right next to his foot. Luigi let out a small and quiet yelp as he picked up the Drill Shell, and stuffed it into one of his many pockets.

"Alright, after Nabbit" Mario said, leading the group through the desert, where they had found the rabbit like burglar, who yelped seeing the Mario Bros. again, and tripled jumped up a bunch of steps and away from the brothers. "Pfft, like a bunch of steps will stop us" Goombella said, getting ready to jump up the stairs, but a cardboard plain came crashing down, way higher than anyone could jump, blocking the path. "EEHEEHEHEHEHEEE" a laugh rang through the ears of the group, while Kammy, Kamek, and Paper Kamek came riding in on their brooms. "Aw how cute, their trying to save the princesses" Kammy laughed. "Try it, we already put a bounty on your heads, a safe one hundred thousand coins will get some people coming" Kamek said. "And as for trying to get to the castle" the Paper Kamek said, raising his wand into the air, and casting a spell. Multiple cardboard blocks came down and crashed onto the sandy ground in multiple different places. "Try to save the princesses now" Kammy laughed, and the three flew away.

"Great… just great" Mario sighed, "Guess we're taking the long way around" Goombella said, Mario nodded, and the group made their way over towards a small hill which led up to a rock that had a button on it. Using his hammer, Mario hit the button and the rock next to them came up, making a small staircase up to the cardboard platform. Using the new dash socks they got, Mario, Luigi, and Paper Mario ran forward, dodging a group of Spiney's and making their way over to another rock with a button. Mario readied his hammer to hit it.

Nabbit popped out behind the rock with a sign that said "Heya suckers", he jumped off the rock and grabbed the hammer's, along with grabbing the partners and stuffing them in the bag. "NABBIT GET BACK HERE" Mario screamed, chasing after the thief, with Luigi sighing and chasing after. Paper Mario, after staring a bit dumbfounded for a second, took off after his non paper self and his non paper brother. Nabbit ran as fast as he could, jumping from the cardboard land to the next cardboard land, and back down onto the grass, with Mario and his cronies following his every move. "Okay, on three, prepare to slide into Nabbit" Mario whispered to Luigi, who whispered it back to Paper Mario. "One… two… THREE" Mario dived forward, with Luigi and Paper Mario backing him up, the plumber caught Nabbit's legs and caused him to fall down, dropping Paper Mario's hammer, along with some letters, and Bombette and Goombario. "Ugh, now I know how it feels to be kidnapped" Bombette groaned, her eyes were a pair of swirls at this point. Goombario got up off the ground and looked at Nabbit with the most menacing glare he could muster. "You're going to pay for that" Goombario charged after Nabbit, who simply jumped on him and took off. "Quick, after him" Goombario charged, with the other four giving him a weird look, but running after the thief none the less.

Bombette fell back towards Mario, and lit her fuse. "GAH, DON'T BLOW UP OVER HERE" Luigi screamed while Mario grabbed the pink bomb and tossed her over towards Nabbit, who looked back to see how far they were behind, only to yelp when Bombette crashed into him with a mighty explosion. Nabbit, miraculously surviving, stumbled back a few feet, and gave Mario and co enough time to grab him, dropping Luigi's hammer, along with Goombella and Koops. "Ugh, my head hurts, I will never slump a bag over my shoulder again" Koops said, dazed. Nabbit yelped once more, making another run for it. "Get back here you" Goombario chased after Nabbit, getting a sweat drop from everyone else. Mario and co began to run after Nabbit, who seemed to be running faster this time around.

"Wait, I have an idea" Koops said, grabbing Goombella and Bombette, and taking off in the opposite direction in which Nabbit was going. Goombario gave a good chase to Nabbit, but the rabbit like thief was too fast for the paper Goomba, well, until he stopped right in front of Koops, Goombella, and Bombette, the three giving off a menacing glare. Nabbit panicked and looked behind him, finding the four that were chasing him on the other side. "Give up Nabbit, you can't defeat us" Mario said, Nabbit took out a sign that read "I can sure as well try". Nabbit lunged at Mario and grabbed him by his overalls and threw him into the sand, with only his body hanging out. Luigi gasped in shock and took out a fire flower, preparing to torch Nabbit. But the thief leapt high into the air and landed a nasty kick onto Luigi's skull.

Paper Mario got out his hammer and slammed it down onto Nabbit's head. The rabbit thief stumbled back a few feet and fell back down onto the ground, dropping Parakarry out of his bag. "Ugh, my wings hurt now, is that how mail feels" Parakarry asked himself. Mario took his head out of the sand, blinked a few times, and charged in for a jump onto Nabbit, who got up just in time as Mario's boot made contact with Nabbit, making him drop the hammer and a new Bros. Attack.

"Fine, you win, but this isn't over" Nabbit pulled out a sign and planted it into the ground, and made a run for it.

YEAH, I'M SORRY IT TOOK THIS LONG TO MAKE A NEW CHAPTER FOR THIS, IT'S A LITTLE SHORTER THAN I WANTED IT TO BE, BUT I WANTED TO GET SOMETHING OUT TO YOU GUYS, AND THIS WILL HAVE TO DO, THE OTHER CHAPTERS WILL NOT TAKE THIS LONG AND I WILL WORK ON IT WHENEVER I CAN.
