Hello there my guys! I started this a while back, and it's not gonna be super long. Just a few chapters before I go back to my normal stuff. I might as well say it here, but there's a brief mention of sexual assault/r*pe threats in the next chapter, so if that's going to be a problem you can skip it. In the chapter itself I'll put a warning before it happens, that was just to clear up the trigger warning! Okay, my sister really likes this, and I hope you do too! Have a great day! :)

Anakin Skywalker and his padawan Ahsoka Tano were on a meditative leave in the inner rim, more specifically the peaceful planet of Vaanawrog, even more specifically in their hotel room. They'd been there for a few days, the sun was just then setting on the horizon of the cityscape, visible from their window.

The room had two queen sized beds, a nightstand in between those, dresser, and refresher. Everything was white and well kept, being that they didn't really have any stuff to mess the room up with.

Ahsoka's Master was lying on his bed, scrolling through the holonews back home on Coruscant on a datapad while she got ready for bed near the door. She took off her utility beat, seating it on the dresser.

"Don't look, I'm just gonna change really quick." She called to him.

"Mmhm." He mumbled.

She sighed, starting to pull her dress over her lekku.

He didn't even mean to, his eyes just subconsciously glanced over to her.

Then he saw them.

Running down her back, the oh-so familiar marks he could nearly feel on his own. His were healed but her's were fresh, red and irritated on her orange skin. They ran from her neck, down underneath the hem of her pants. They weren't even scabbed over yet, still had fresh blood.

Scars. Whip scars.

She must've felt his gaze on her because she quickly spun around, holding her shirt over her chest to cover herself. "I told you not to look!" She gasped.

He stood up, shocked, his jaw hanging open, the word around him stopped. He slowly walked up to her, grabbing her arm and turning her around.

"Master, I'm fine- I-!" She struggled in his grasp but he couldn't hear her.

It must've been from their mission on Kadavo. They had only gotten back from it about a week ago. That was why the man had the idea for the retreat in the first place, to relax and get over what had happened to the both of them there.

"Ahsoka…" He started.

She finally was able to get away from him, drawing back but ending up with her back to the wall. "I just, I- it's not what it looks like. I'm okay, I promise."

He shook his head. "Who, who would do this to you? Was it Atai?"

"No, I-"

He interrupted her before she could even give him a valid answer. "I know what those scars look like, Snips. Trust me."

He noticed then that her lekku were twitching.
"I'm sorry," He stepped back and sat down on one of the beds to try and seem less intimidating. He turned away so she could slip her shirt back on.

"We need to go to the hospital, Ahsoka, they're gonna get infected."

"It's fine, they'll heal on their own, Master. I'm okay, I promise, you're just being protective." She was aware she was rambling, but she didn't care. She didn't want Anakin to figure out, she didn't want to be there, she didn't want to be so vulnerable, she didn't want to go to the hospital. She knew how he could get about these things. She just wanted to forget about it, but Anakin worried easily, and every time she got hurt he got more and more anxious something would go wrong again.

Plus, she hated hospitals, with their white rooms, unfamiliar faces and the feelings of hurt and worry everywhere. Her human friends couldn't, but with her lekku she could hear much better, and could hear every beep! From machines, every alarm...every flatline.

"Please." She said finally. "Please, Master. We can wait and Kix can help me, please.."
He frowned. "It's okay, Ahsoka, I'll be with you." He responded, rather bluntly. It was just a hospital visit and she sounded like she was begging for her life!

"It's not that. I just...I don't like hospitals." She cursed herself in her head as his features only grew more and more worried.
"Why?"
"It's not a big deal, Master. They're just...loud. And scary, can we please just wait?"

Anakin walked to her with a sigh. "I would only do what's best for you, you know that. All that's gonna happen is a few hours in a bacta tank, if we leave them be they're only gonna get worse." She was still avoiding his eyes. "Ahsoka, look at me."
She did.

"I promise I'll stay with you. It'll be fine."

She didn't really have a choice. "Okay."

Anakin walked up to the front desk. "Hi, I'm Anakin Skywalker." He reached out and shook an old man's hand. He was a human.
"Hello, Skywalker. Jedi Knight, isn't it?" He nodded at the lightsaber on his hip. It wasn't uncommon for the pair to be recognized, they were on the holonews frequently, and were well known as both Jedi and war heros.

He nodded. "Yep, I was wondering if you could help my padawan, Ahsoka Tano." He gestured to the girl next to him. "She would just need a few hours in the bacta tank at most."
The man typed some things out. "How long can you wait, sir?"
"Oh, it's not urgent. We can wait as long as we need to."

"I see. Okay, I'll have you two to an examination room soon. Come talk to me if you have any questions." He picked up a questionnaire from the desk, handing it to the man. "And you can give that to your nurse." He smiled at them.
"Thank you."

Anakin sat down on a waiting room loveseat. After a few seconds of looking at him, Ahsoka sat down next to him, sighing and leaning her head on his shoulder. It caught him by surprise, but he didn't really mind. "I should've done this sooner, Master. You were right, I'm sorry." She murmured into his robes. She just wanted this whole thing to be over with, relieving everything that happened to her on Kadavo wasn't really how she wanted that day to go.

He slung an arm around her shoulders, rubbing her arm. "It's not your fault, Snips. You just," He sighed, looking down at her. "Never mind. We can get this whole thing over with soon, okay?"

"Okay."

He pulled up the questions and the marker it came with, starting to fill out some of the boxes with his free hand. He stopped rubbing her arm for a moment to look at the paper, and she murmured a quiet protest. "Don't stop."

He looked at her, already sensing her stress by simply being there. He pulled her closer to him, doing what she asked. He hoped it helped.

"Patient name…..Ahsoka..Tano….age...18, um….species….Togruta…" He mumbled while writing. He handed it to her after a minute once he got to the more difficult questions. "You know yourself better."
She tapped the end of the masker on the board, snuggling closer to Anakin. Hospitals were cold, too, she remembered. And they'd left their jackets back at the hotel.
A lot of the questions were easy, no broken bones, no internal bleeding. She was safe at home, probably too safe with Anakin being her master and all. Her symptoms were mild, and she wasn't sick. But it was hard to fill out what had really happened to her.

Brief description of injury/illness?:

She drew in a shaky breath, slowly writing down the letters, 'w-h-i-p-s-c-a-r-s."

Ahsoka sighed like she had just climbed a mountain and set everything into her lap once she was done.

The girl could hear her master's heart beating against her lekku. Slow and steady, unlike her's. They sat in silence, looking outside the waiting room window where the stars were coming out and the moons rising, reflecting on their tired faces in brilliant blue. There was nobody else in the waiting room, which she was happy for. Usually when she observed strangers, she liked to imagine what they're story was. Who they were what they stood for, that kinda thing. But not there.

There the stories always took the wrong turns.

After a few minutes, a female Twi-lek healer came out, her skin bright blue, almost like Aayla's. "Ahsoka?" She said, reading off a clipboard. "Ahsoka Tano?"

Ahsoka got off her master and they both stood up, following the nurse towards an examination room.

Ahsoka's heart was already starting to pound in her chest, her hands shaky as they rounded a corner. The doors opened into a hall further back.

Beep. Beep. Beep. Beep.

"I'm Duiva." She said as they stepped into the room. "Anakin." The Knight took a seat in one of the chairs, handing the nurse the questionnaire they had filled out. "That's Ahsoka."
She smiled brightly. "Why, good to meet you, Ahsoka! If you would step on the scale for me."

She took off her boots, doing so while the Twi'lek measured her.

"Hmm. Five seven, at the monstral. And….step off there, thank you...113 pounds." She frowned, but both of the Jedi weren't surprised. With the war going on and most of the Republic's money going to the production of new clones on Kamino, they didn't have much money to spend on the Jedi's food. The ration's weren't much to begin with, and on most days they only ate breakfast. That and constantly being in action on the frontlines, or training made most of them underweight.

"Okay, thank you for that, Ahsoka." She motioned at the table, and the Togruta sat down on top of the paper. It crinkled underneath her.
"What brings you in here today?"
Anakin looked at her, speaking through their bond.

You don't have to talk about it, if you don't want, Snips.

Would you?
Of course.

"She was hurt on a mission."
"I see. How long ago?"
"A few rotations. She...um...was whipped." He said it slowly, the words hitting him harder than before as they came out of his mouth. She was whipped, she was whipped she was whipped…

eyes opened wide. "Oh, I'm so sorry." Duiva looked at Ahsoka, then back to him. "Are you going to be okay if I examine you?"
Ahsoka nodded, knowing what she meant. She hated being so exposed in front of him, in front of anyone, actually, but she was starting to shake from the stress of being there and Anakin really helped. "I want him here."
The nurse pulled a curtain around the side of the examination table facing him, and she once again stripped off her dress.

After a few minutes, she spoke. "I think you're right, sir, about the bacta tank. I'd suggest at least three hours, if that's okay."
"Yes, that's perfect. You can bill all the costs to the Republic."

Ahsoka put her dress back on, and the curtain was pulled back.

"I'll be right back you two, just hang out."

As the door closed behind her, Anakin sighed, putting his head in his hands. "I'm sorry, Ahsoka. This is my fault."

She swung her legs over the table to face him, leaning her elbows on her knees. "What? Why?"

His voice was muffled by his palms. "It was my idea for you to even be on that mission, for you to be playing a slave. When things went wrong it was because of me. I should've looked for you sooner, I-" his voice trailed off. "I should've saved you."

Ahsoka just stared as he ranted about how much he was to blame for something he couldn't control. "Hey, hey, hey, you couldn't have known the plan wasn't going to work." Her voice was soft.

"But I could've helped you,"

"No, you were dealing with your own problems, with the mission. And, Anakin," He looked up when she said his name.

"Anakin, you saved all those people, for a small expense."

He scoffed at that. "Small expense? Ahsoka, you are so much more than that. I-"

Just then the nurse walked back in, holding a paper and a change of clothes for the girl. "Sorry bout that guys," She handed Anakin the paper. "If you could sign that for me, sir."

Anakin was still mentally in their conversation, still pissed off at himself for being such an idiot, but he slowly came back into the real world, and signed a sloppy signature before giving it back.

Ahsoka gratefully took the clothes, if you could even call them that. They were pretty small since she had to be mostly exposed for the bacta to even work.

"You can change into those once you're in the room with the tank, it's on the third floor in room 157. You all set?"

They nodded.

"Okay. A med droid will be up there with you shortly, so don't take too long." Duiva gave another toothy grin before leaving the pair alone again.

The General started to say something, but she stopped him.

"Listen, Master. I don't want to talk about what happened." Her eyes were wide and begging. Memories were starting to resurface just after she was pushing them down.

She realized how rude she was coming off. "Please, let's just get this over with."

He nodded in agreement, though still cursed himself in his head.

Ahsoka hopped off the table, and together they walked to the lifts.
