7 o' clock came about faster than Emma had realised. The blonde understood that Regina would meet her at the restaurant so she had the privacy to get ready after work. Emma decided to let her hair down and let her natural waves flow. This was the first time in a long time that Emma felt the need to look her best, she wanted to show Regina she could be more.

As Emma stepped out of the shower and entered her room she quickly pulled out the new dress she had treated herself to with her first paycheck. There on her wardrobe hung a knee length red velvet dress. Emma smiled as the fabric rubbed against her pale skin as she lifted it over her head. She grabbed one of the pairs of heels Regina had offered her and began to do her makeup. She smiled as her lipstick matched the dress perfectly. Emma was alerted by a text message.

Charles will be waiting outside.

See you soon

R.

Emma gulped and smiled. She felt the butterflies wake up as she double checked her appearance. She applied her hair dryer and diffuser lightly and embraced her curls.

Emma stepped outside to have Charles open the car door for her.

"Oh come on Charlie, you don't have to keep this up!

The older man simply hummed letting his chuckle escape.

"I follow Miss Mills orders m'dear"

Emma threw up her eyes and the man started the car engine. The street lamps were bright as they were indeed in the upper side of the town. The car pulled up right outside and Charles proceeded to open her door once more. Emma gratefully took the man's hand and thanked him.

She eagerly walked into the restaurant and jumped on the spot as that familiar drawl came from behind her, Regina appeared to have been waiting for her to be even seated.

"Oh Regina… I'm sorry I didn't realize you were waiting for me to be seated?

Regina raised her hand.

"Well Well, dear I must say you have outdone yourself… You look rather breathtaking Miss Swan"

Regina didn't hide her glance up and down Emma's body. Emma felt the tingles and found herself leaning forwards and kissing the brunette on the cheek. Regina blinked hard not quite knowing how to react. She cleared her throat.

"Umm… yes well shall we be seated dear? I'm famished"

Emma tried to hide the groan that threatened to escape. Regina just walked past the staff and perched herself in the far corner table, it was a secluded section and it appeared that Regina knew her way around.

"Do you own the restaurant too?

Regina pursed her lips and chuckled.

"Alas, I do not Miss Swan. I just am very particular on what I like, and when I find something I like I make it known"

Emma gulped.

"Regina… I didn't get to say that I think you look…

Emma was cut off as the waiter came over to take their order. Emma looked rather flustered as she tried to compose her dignity from not finishing her sentence. Regina however was beaming at the flustered blonde.

"Fredrick dear, I'd like my usual and Miss Swan?

Emma frantically glanced at the french menu.

"I'll have what she's having…"

The waiter smirked.

"Very good ma'am"

The waiter returned with a bottle of red and poured two glasses. Regina was still beaming at Emma's little flusterations.

"Regina…?

Regina hummed as she sipped her wine.

"Yes Miss Swan?

Emma sipped her wine.

"What the hell did I order?

Regina laughed out loud. It was music to Emma's ears.

"Nothing bad dear, I'm not one of those people who eats snails and frogs legs and such… as you've noticed I don't get alot of time to unwind like this so I like to have a little bit of everything. The chef knows my favourites and makes mini portions for me"

Emma nodded.

"But… will he have enough for both of us I'm sure I threw him off"

Regina smirked.

"Nonsense Miss Swan… I told him you were joining me"

Emma scrunched her face.

"How did you know I'd order the same as you?

Regina chuckled.

"Well… your rendition of "Fairer Jacques" this morning was rather a valid indication that when I informed you that we would be eating at a french restaurant gave me a bit of a clue"

Emma glared at the brunette who was now looking quite smug.

"Hey my renditions are great…

The two began to eat their meal in silence and Regina smiled into her fork as Emma's failure to be discrete exposed itself.

"Holy shit Regina! Have you tasted the red thing?

Heads turned as Emma immediately lowered her voice. Regina was loving every moment.

"We'd like to see the desert menu please Fredrick"

Emma's eye's shot up.

"Sorry if I embarrassed you Regina"

Regina smiled and reached out for Emma's hand and gently rested hers on top of it. Emma felt the butterflies attack.

"Don't be ridiculous dear, I've had a splendid time with you."

Emma practically glowed.

"Pity evening is nearly over Miss Swan"

Regina sighed.

"Wrong!

Regina smiled slightly puzzled.

"Are you telling me that you have something else in mind Miss Swan?

Emma shivered and so did Regina.

"Are you telling me that you just go home and go to sleep after you come here?

Regina nodded firmly.

"Yes"

Emma laughed.

"Oh ok grandma"

Regina glared at the younger woman.

"Don't you dare grandma me Miss Swan! What pray tell did you have in mind?

Emma raised her brows.

"Let's get smashed… I mean we could go home and have some of your fancy smancy hidden office alcohol and have a girl's night… you know pjs and such"

Regina chuckled.

"You want to have a slumber party with me dear?

Emma gulped.

"Well yeah… I guess, I've never had one growing up… no one wanted to invite me whenever I had a brief "family""

Regina's mouth dropped open.

"Oh… Well that simply will not do! Alright, I accepted your invitation to your slumber party in my house"

Emma smiled weakly as Regina squeezed her hand. The two ate their desert silently. Emma's mind was racing. She didn't know what she had gotten herself into, Regina was feeling exactly the same way.
