The island of Sodor is a wonderfully magical place, surrounded by a beautiful blue sea. It has fields of green and sandy yellow beaches. There are rivers, streams, and lots of trees where the birds sing. There are wind mills and a coal mine, and docks where visitors to the island arrive. The Island is the home of the North-Western Railway, with engines of all shapes and sizes, working hard to deliver goods and passengers to their destinations. There are branchlines that run along the coast of the island, serving the docks, the fishing villages and the seaside towns. There are branchlines that run to the farms, quarries and ancient castles of the island's heartland. And there is the mainline, which runs all the way from Knapford on the west coast of the island, to Vicarstown, in the east.

A man called Sir Topham hat runs the island. He sees to it that all his engines are working their hardest to keep the railway running safely and on time. There are many different sorts of engines on Sir Topham Hatt's railway. Some are faster than others, some are slower, some are stronger, some not so much. But to Sir Topham Hatt, they all play a vital role in running the North-Western Railway.

Some of these engines are Jame for example. James is a bright red mixed-traffic tender engine. He can be vain and sometimes boastful, but means well and is a hard worker. James is very proud of his splendid red paintwork. He dislikes pulling trucks and believes that he should only pull coaches. He is so self-centered that he thinks himself superior to the others and can be shallow, boastful, overconfident, arrogant, prideful, naughty and vain, particularly to those who appear old-fashioned, weak, slow or dirty. This has caused him to have somewhat of a rivalry with Edward, Percy, Toby, and Duck, as well as Gordon, Henry and even Philip lately on occasion. He has acted like this even before he was repainted red. However, on a number of occasions, he has found himself in need of help from those whom he has insulted and is, in the end, apologetic.

Gordon is a big blue express engine. Gordon is also one of the fastest and strongest engines on Sodor. At times, this leads him to feel superior. Gordon's important position as the engine who pulls the Express has made him proud, pompous, arrogant, prideful and self-important, with a good reason too; he is the fastest engine on Sodor. He is extremely proud of this and is inclined to boast. But despite his pompousness, he is goodhearted, always willing to forgive and uses his superior strength to help smaller engines out of trouble.

Edward is a blue mixed-traffic tender engine. Edward is one of the oldest engines on Sodor and is occasionally made fun of for his age. Despite this setback, he is also very wise and optimistic and spreads his knowledge and encouraging attitude towards the other engines. Edward is very kindhearted, mature, wise and keen to help a friend in need. The small engines trust him to lend a listening ear and sympathetic advice. He is a hard worker too and always does his best to finish a job. If ever an engine misbehaves or acts out, it is Edward that the Fat Controller turns to in order to soothe things out. Unfortunately, the big engines, especially Gordon, often see Edward as old-fashioned and slow. While it is true he is the oldest engine on the North Western Railway (which he helped build), he has proved time and time again that he is more than capable of working as hard as any engine.

Henry is a green mixed-traffic tender engine who works on the Main Line. Henry is generally well-behaved and friendly, but is sometimes arrogant. Henry is at heart, a very hard worker, but his frequent bouts of illness hinder his work. His illnesses almost always have something to do with his boiler. Unlike Gordon and James, Henry does not mind pulling trucks, especially as he is a mixed traffic engine, although when he is given the job of pulling the express whenever Gordon is unable to, this can get to his smokebox and he can act full of himself. He has been shown as a nature-lover as evidenced in Henry's Forest. Henry is shown occasionally as a tree-hugging engine too as he tried to prevent the tall pine tree and the wishing tree from being cut down.

Percy

Toby is a steam tram who works on Thomas's branch line with his coach Henrietta. Toby is wise and always willing to share his experience and knowledge with the other engines. He is careful with every job he undertakes, causing him to rarely have any accidents. He is also savvy enough to control the trucks. However, his advanced age and design means that he is weaker than most of the other engines. While Toby is always ready to work hard without any fuss, he can be a bit temperamental sometimes, especially when young and inexperienced engines who are full of themselves make things difficult for him. However, work at the quarry line often soothes off his moods without any cause of grief to anyone, except of course his old faithful coach, Henrietta.

But one of the most useful and helpful of all was a engine called Thomas. He originally worked as the station pilot at the Big Station but longed to leave his yard to go out and see the world. After helping to rescue James from a nasty accident, Thomas was rewarded with two new coaches, Annie and Clarabel and was given the responsibility of running the Ffarquhar branch line where he works to this day. Before coming to Sodor, Thomas lived at Brighton, where he worked alongside several other engines. He was brought to the North Western Railway when Sir Topham Hat was in need of a new tank engine to shunt trains at Knapford and was originally painted teal-green before receiving his blue livery. Thomas was cheeky at first and enjoyed teasing Gordon by waking him up while he was resting at Knapford. Gordon managed to get back at Thomas by leaving the station too quickly before he could be uncoupled and though Thomas learned his lesson about teasing Gordon, he wanted to see more of the world and go beyond the yard at Knapford station. He was given the chance to pull his first passenger train when Henry became ill but left the station too early when he mistook the guard's whistle for Edward's train for his own, leaving behind his coaches and passengers. Thomas was stopped by a signalman and he went back to the station to fetch his train.

Thomas was teased relentlessly about this mistake by Gordon and James, though Edward felt sorry for him and offered to let Thomas take his goods train while he took care of his shunting duties in the yard. Thomas could hardly contain his excitement and was too excited to listen to Edward's warning about the trucks, believing that he could handle them easily. However, as he reached the top of Gordon's Hill, the trucks began pushing Thomas down the line, causing him to run out of control and nearly crashed until he stopped in a siding.

Upon noticing that Henry had not come out of the sheds to pull his train during a rainy day, Thomas raced back to Tidmouth Sheds and managed to convince a paranoid Henry that the rain would not hurt him, finally helping him get over his fear of the rain. Thomas continued to work in the yard and over time, he became more skilled at shunting. While taking a break in the yard one day, Thomas saw James being pushed by his trucks unable to stop due to his burning brake blocks. Thomas bravely chased after James abandoning his Punishment and tried to stop him, but unfortunately, James derailed and landed in a field. Thomas rushed back to Knapford and retrieved Judy and Jerome, who helped him, re-rail James. As a reward for his heroic actions, Thomas was rewarded with his own branch line and two coaches of his own, Annie and Clarabel. From that point on, Thomas began proudly working on his branch line.

Thomas is described as being a cheeky and fussy engine. He often gets into scrapes, usually by being over-eager to do things best left to bigger and more sensible engines. But clouds never last long in Thomas' life and he is soon bustling about again, playing his part in the yard and on his very own branch line, of which he is extremely proud.

He loves teasing the others, especially the bigger engines, such as Gordon and on occasion brags about his superiority, but is always brought down to earth in due course by anyone willing to correct him, especially Sir Topham hat and his two coaches, Annie and Clarabel. If Thomas has one major character flaw, it is that he is forgetful and rather impatient. However, he is also optimistic, idealistic and altruistic with a heart of gold.

While he might drive others away, Thomas is very good at luring back friends should the situation demand it.

The island of Sodor has been around longer than Sir Topham hat could remember. The exact origin's of these amazing steam engines is unknown. But soon Thomas and his friends would travel to a place of magic and mystery, in forms they couldn't even imagine, meet new friends in a place called Beach City and discover who they truly are on a planet called Homeworld with beings called the Crystal Gems.

Homeworld is the home planet of the Gem race and is the main headquarters for the Homeworld Gems as well as the capital for the Gem Empire. Little is known about the Gem Homeworld and its accurate history, culture, and society. What is known, however, is that Homeworld is a totalitarian, oligarchical society governed by the Great Diamond Authority. Gem "Elites", who are a superior class below the Diamonds and the lower classes work for them. Homeworld is a planet in a distant galaxy which maintains an extensive empire of colony worlds and constantly seeks to expand. Once suitable planets are located, they are exploited through facilities like the Kindergartens and terraformed to be made fit for Gem settlements, which would include eliminating any pre-existing life on the planet due to the drastic terraforming. Homeworld is not located in the Milky Way Galaxy, where Earth resides, but in a separate galaxy still visible from Earth.

The rulers of Homeworld are known as the great Diamond authority. Consisting of White Diamond, Yellow Diamond, Blue Diamond and little Pink Diamond.

The Great Diamond Authority has complete control over every Gem and their race's endeavors. Each Diamond seemed to be responsible for overseeing a specific part of Homeworld society. The Diamonds appeared to split Gems up into groups; some belonging to Yellow, others to Blue and more to White. Gems wore a colored Diamond emblem on their outfit corresponding to the Diamond they served. In order to expand the Gem race, the Diamonds took control of celestial bodies for colonization purposes. Each Diamond owned specific colonies and was in charge of making sure they were successful. The Diamonds seemed to have their own hierarchy as Pink Diamond was considered the lowest-ranked Diamond, seeing how she was commanded by the higher orders of the other Diamonds and could not make her own decisions about colonization efforts while White Diamond ranked the highest of the Diamonds. Most Gems were very loyal and legitimately believed the Diamonds were the most elite beings to ever exist. Some were passionate and enthusiastic about working for any Diamond. The loyalty Gems had for their Diamonds was such that some would do anything to avenge them.

A strict caste system exists based on the Gem's gemstone, thus predetermining every Gem's role within their society. Deviation from the given social norms is harshly punished; for instance, when a Ruby accidentally fused with a Sapphire to create a Garnet, she was sentenced to be shattered by Blue Diamond. Aside from the caste system, Gems on Homeworld are also divided into factions based on which Diamond they serve under.

It is mandatory for Gems to show absolute respect and loyalty to any Diamond they interacted with regardless of whether or not they served them. Appropriate behaviors include addressing a Diamond (most commonly the one they belong to) as "My Diamond", saluting them by forming a diamond shape over their chest with their hands and optionally giving them many gracious titles, often to the point of bootlicking and excessive flattery before speaking with them.

At some point during the Diamond's rule, there was a rebellion. A gem called Rose Quartz and a Pearl fought against Homeworld to protect the Earth. Gem colonization of Earth was practically killing the planet. Areas of Earth were uninhabitable, forests were turned into wasteland's, places that were once beautiful villages were now damaged beyond repair. Rose Quartz and Pearl soon took a stand against Homeworld in order to protect Earth. As time went on new gems, such as a fusion called Garnet helped fight to protect earth. As the battle went on, Earth received more damage then attend. Gem tech was scattered all around places and areas of land were damaged beyond repair. At that point, Earth is no longer seen as a viable colony to Homeworld. With one final effort to wipe out the Crystal Gems, the Diamonds unleashed the Corrupting Light, corrupting any Gems exposed to the blast. Rose was able to protect herself, Garnet, and Pearl from becoming corrupted with her shield. The remaining Crystal Gems used their abilities to defend Earth from countless threats. As Rose wished, the Crystal Gems contained the Corrupted Gems in bubbles. Rose made it the Crystal Gems' mission to one day figure out how to cure Corrupted Gems. The Crystal Gems also met and recruited Amethyst, who popped out of the Prime Kindergarten too late to fight in the Rebellion. Some time later during what I assum was during the 1980's I imagine, she fell in love with a failed rock star named Greg Universe. The two instantly hit it off. After falling in love with Greg Universe, Rose, a great admirer of humanity, gave up her physical form to give birth to a half-human child, Steven Universe. The other remaining Crystal Gems (Garnet, Amethyst, and Pearl) have taken it upon themselves to raise him alongside Greg and teach him how to use his powers.

Little did any of the Crystal gems know, some of the gem's technology had be abandoned on a small Island called Sodor and sooner then anyone could imagine, the worlds of Sodor and Gems would come together.

Hope you liked the chapter. Let me know what you think of this story in the comments. I've concedered doing parings in this story like Thomas x Lapis and Edward x Pearl. I'll do parings for Percy, Toby, Gordon, Henry and James too. Let me know what parings you think I should have for the gems and engines. I'm thinking maybe Percy x Spinel. I'll release the next chapter as soon as possible.
