Kill The Gods (One Shot Pilot)

"Do you see anyone there Alisa?"

"No, but I do see remains of a camp in this building. It seems like those reports have some truth to them. People were definitely here."

Alisa Ilinichina Amiella spoke into the communication device attached to her ear in order to respond to Hibari's inquiry. She was out on a mission to investigate some reports about strange looking people that had been seen around this area. Supposedly for the past few days some people had seen a guy wearing weird white armour and a dark haired girl carrying a katana.

That on its own wouldn't warrant anything more than a slight confused reaction, but there was another piece of information that got a highly skilled God Eater like Alisa herself out to investigate.

The individuals had been seen fighting Aragami, and surviving the battles.

So now the Russian God Eater was out here in the field to see how accurate those reports were. Right now she had discovered the small remains of a campfire, two sleeping bags and a pot that seemed to have used to cook food within a building that was part way ruined but it still provided a solid roof over anyone seeking shelter.

This was likely they had set up camp, so Alisa thought that she should wait around to see who would return. She had to admit was she intrigued to know what kind of people they were. Her first thought was that they had to be God Eaters but from what had been described it didn't seem like they carried God Arcs, and there hadn't been any new God Eaters scheduled to arrive at the Far East Branch any time soon.

So who could they be?

She put those thoughts away for the time being and put a hand up to communication device as she began to speak with her Captain, Lenka Utsugi. He was out here to investigate as well but was in another area so Alisa began to inform him that she had likely found what they were looking for and told him to meet up at her location.

When Alisa finished speaking however, she heard the familiar growl of a creature approaching her.

"Tch, Aragami!"

Confusion. Annoyance. Frustration.

Akame felt many different things about her current situation, and none of them were positive. A sigh escaped her mouth as she continued to search through different buildings looking for supplies. She ended up finding some canned food along with a few other trinkets through her search. Among them were also a few dead bodies.

That was a sight that made the assassin sigh. She had seen so many corpses and dried blood ever since waking up in this place, wherever it was. This wasteland was filled what what looked like the ruins of a previous civilisation. What few people she did find were only just humans trying to survive and they didn't seem all too knowledgeable about the state of things.

"Hey Akame! You might want to see this!"

The sound of Tatsumi's voice from the structure's second floor reached her ears as she immediately made a run up the stairs to see what had gotten his attention. It turns out her partner had found a rather worn down large sword amongst some rubble.

However it did not look like a regular sword. The design was far more intricate and mechanical than any other sword Akame or Tatsumi had seen.

"Do you think, it might be a Teigu?" Tatsumi asked.

Akame narrowed her eyes and slowly inspected the weapon more closely with her gaze. Taking in every part of it, seeing the remains of what must've been a strong weapon.

"Hmm, I suppose it might be. It's definitely no sword I've seen before. But I have a hunch that's not, just a feeling I have though..."

Tatsumi sighed as he shifted his head to stare out of a nearby broken window. The light of the sun shone brightly all over the scenery of ruin building and debris. He couldn't help but hope the weapon they found was a Teigu if only for the possibility that it may provide them with a lead to potentially return home.

"Damnit, just where are we?"

It was a question that he had asked multiple times already. And every time Akame had the same answer for him.

"...I don't know..."

The swordswoman's thoughts wondered for a moment before they rewinded to about a week ago. That was when this whole mess began.

Tatsumi and herself were off on a mission to scope out their next target. Nothing out of the ordinary. Should've been quick and easy, but as they snuck through the woods together it suddenly felt like an earthquake was happening. Before they knew it, the ground had opened up beneath them causing both Night Raid memebers to fall through.

The two of them must've passed out at some point because they both later woke up in this area of ruin.

There was much confusion over what just happened. After all how does falling through the ground leave you laying in a place with an open sky? After some discussion, they came to what they considered the most accurate conclusion. The two of them passed out, and after doing so someone or even something brought them to another location. Perhaps even another nation.

The most likely means of transportation? Another Teigu of course. Tatsumi had already been through that experience before, and he wouldn't be too surprised if it happened again.

The first thing they tried to prioritise was basic survival needs like food and water. Something they did managed to do thanks to hunting the few animals that still roamed and finding food and water storages from various buildings.

However, they soon discovered that surviving in this place was going to be much more difficult than expected.

The sound of growling coming from the first floor of the building broke Akame out of her thoughts. Her survival instincts heightened as she readied herself for battle. She looked over the edge of the second floor balcony and saw them.

The strange monsters that inhabited this area. Creatures unlike any Danger Beast she and Tatsumi had ever encountered.

Monsters that neither of them could kill.

Her one hit kill sword could not live up to its name on these things. That meant it was clear that these monsters did not have a beating heart. How frustrating.

And Tatsumi didn't have much better luck either. His Incursio Teigu gave him incredible speed and strength, but even then the most he could do was send the weaker monsters flying while going toe to toe against a stronger monster that they encountered once.

No matter what, the assassins had no means of killing theses beasts. So in every encounter they had no choice but to eventually flee.

And this would be no exception.

"Tatsumi, take the food we found and get it back to camp as soon as possible. I'll distract these things so they don't follow you. Now go!"

Without giving the boy time to even offer an argument Akame jumped down to the first floor and unsheathed her Teigu. Luckily the monsters she was about to fight were just four the weaker ones. So even though she could not apply the curse for a kill, she could at least keep them busy while her friend kept the food safe.

Tatsumi himself contemplated just jumping down there to help Akame, but he could understand her point. Any scrap of food they found was incredibly important and they couldn't risk it being lost or destroyed during a battle.

He stuffed the food within the pockets of his coat and immediately called forth Incursio to cover his body. Without wasting any time he engaged the invisibility function and jumped out of the same window he had been staring out of before. Tatsumi started making a break straight back towards their camp while silently hoping that none of the strange monsters had followed him and that Akame would be safe.

And for the most part, she was. The dark haired assassin dodged their slow moving attacks with ease, even the the faster swipes of the spiked tails missed her completely while the assassin made the occasional stab right into one of the eyes of the monsters. While her sword was incapable of even piercing the outside skin, it seemed at the very least the eyes were a point that the monsters could be hurt. However it took an immense of strength to get her Teigu to stab through the eye at all, meaning that even that part of the body was armoured fairly well.

Still, it currently stood as Akame's only means of fighting them so that was the strategy she had to go with. Just hurt them enough and damage their vision temporarily so that she could force the beasts to flee. However, this time the battle wasn't so simple. Because even after taking the fight outside to give herself more room to move and successfully stabbing them all the eyes causing her enemies to run away, the fight was not over.

An unfamiliar roar reached Akame's ears as she turned her head to look up at the top of another nearby ruined building. The roar came from a creature she had definitely not seen before. The thing looked like an ape of some kind but enlarged greatly. It let out yet another load roar as Akame readied herself, waiting for it to make the first move.

The monster jumped off the building but instead landing on its feet or hands like the dark haired girl expected it to she witnessed the thing roll up into a ball started spinning towards.

It was quite the sight, if nothing else.

Akame jumped to the side to avoid the rolling creature and tried to slash it with her Teigu. But of course the sword only scrapped the skin. A clean cut couldn't be made.

The beast stopped it's roll and immediately turned towards Akame and started to do the same thing again. The swordswoman tried to formulate a strategy in her mind to deal with the thing as she dodged its second rolling attack. However the moment she dodged it again the thing stopped right near her and quickly spun its body around horizontally and stuck Akame in the stomach with its tail.

If there was one thing to be thankful for was it that this tail did not have large spikes on it. Still, the force of the attack managed to knock the wind of out her and send her flying right against the wall of another ruin.

"Argh!"

Akame felt herself drop her sword after slamming against the wall. She was left momentarily vulnerable as she clutched her stomach while the girl tried her hardest to recover from such a hard strike.

Damnit, I shouldn't have slipped up like that...

She reached out to take hold of Murasame once more and got back properly on her feet to witness the monster barreling towards her again. Akame was about to jump right over the thing to stay out of range but before she could do so the sound of a loud bang could be heard.

Not a moment later did a fireball enter Akame's field of vision from the side and she watched it strike the monster, stopping the creature in its tracks before it was enveloped in an large explosion.

The thing let out another roar as the smoke cleared but this one sounded much less intimidating. Whatever just happened had certainly weakened it considerably.

Akame managed to regain her breath and wondered if she should stick around. This was a good chance to make it back to camp with Tatsumi after all. However the next moment she witnessed something that made her decide to stay a little longer.

It was a figure wearing green fall and land on top of the monster. She watched the person raise a rather large sword and stab it in the face, causing red blood to spill out. The sound of a dying groan from the monster indicated that the creature was on its last thread of life as the newcomer twisted the sword, resulting in the large beast dying before Akame.

Her own eyes widened in amazement. She wasn't able to accomplish something like that, but this person could.

She snapped out of her daze a second later as she noticed the person, who Akame now saw was a male around perhaps her own age walk towards her and started speaking.

"Hey! Are you alright?"

"...who are you?"

This person had somehow managed to accomplish what Akame failed to do against even the weakest of the monsters. She had to know who he was. Could the sword he was carrying be some Teigu? Or was there another reason as to why he could kill it and she could not?

The man looked her right in the eyes, and Akame noticed something different something different about his. They were yellow, and she felt something inhuman about them.

"I'm Lenka. Lenka Utsugi. A God Eater."

Tatsumi watched something he did not expect to see ever since coming here. The corpses of the same kind of monsters Akame went to fight just minutes ago were scattered around the area just outside of their camp.

He watched a girl swing a large red sword at the last monster left alive and saw that it actually managed to cut through the skin. Bringing it down in a single slash.

He had to know who she was, and how she managed to kill the creatures that neither himself or Akame could. Tatsumi of course had no idea if this girl would be hostile towards him or not, but he decided to remove the armour in an instant so as to not seem threatening.

"Hey!"

The woman clearly heard Tatsumi's voice while he approached as she turned to face him with a look of surprise on her face. He saw her switch her gaze back towards the camp for brief moment until Tatsumi was regular speaking distance.

Before he could say anything else, she spoke up before him.

"This camp yours?"

"Huh? Oh, yeah it is. Me and my friend have been trying to survive here."

Upon a closer look, Tatsumi noticed that the girl before him wasn't exactly wearing clothes that covered up most of the body like Akame. Well at least it wasn't as distancing was what Leone chose to wear into battle.

"Survive? Hmm..."

The girl seemed to ponder for a moment as Tatsumi took that opportunity to ask what he wanted to know.

"Anyway, who are you? And how did you kill those things so easily? Are you using a Teigu or something?"

The word "Teigu" must've been unfamiliar to the girl as her confused facial expression indicated that she did not seem to recognise it at all.

"Teigu? Just what are you talking about? This is my God Arc."

The girl raised her large sword upwards so that Tatsumi could get a good look at it. In all honestly he was quite surprised to see someone like her lift a sword that large. She either must've been really stronger than she looked or the so called "God Arc" must've been quite light.

"My name is Alisa Ilinichina Amiella, and I am currently a God Eater of the Far East Branch."

Corpses. Flames. Destruction.

That was a sight that littered one of the many streets of the Empire's capital city.

I'm the middle of the street, stood a tall woman dressed in imperial uniform. Her eyes gazed upwards to stare at something she had never seen before.

Earlier that day, it was reported that a huge beastly creature was rampaging through the city. The city guards were immediately dispatched to take care of it, but it was supposedly too powerful. The thing seemed to resemble a massive tiger and was seemingly impervious to all sorts of attacks. It was reported that it could even create eletrcity and used that power to strike down many imperial soldiers with ease.

After the city guard failed to kill it, the Jaegers were mobilised. But even then...

The woman continued to stare up at the large unfamiliar monster before her. It was strong, very much so. She had to admit that she was quite curious about its origin. Something like this... something that managed to stay alive even after all of her remaining Jaegers unleashed everything they had onto the beast. It was truly interesting.

Well, the battle was over now for the time being. After all, not even this strange new creature could move while frozen in ice.

Author's Note: As the title says this is technically just a one shot. However this also acts as a pseudo-pilot to a larger story I plan to write out.

As things stand, this one shots takes place fairly early in Akame ga Kill! but as I am currently reading the manga I may well decided to write a new pilot with using a much later timeframe depending on how I view the later Akame ga Kill! manga story and characters.

This idea had been rattling inside my mind for a while so I decided to at least get something out there for the time being. All reviews are greatly appreciated I hope you readers enjoyed this crossover I decided to start work on~
