Child of Pure Magic
Hermione Granger always knew she was adopted by John and Jane Granger of Surry London. She knew she was different from all her family at very young age. She could do things the other children or adults could not do. Hermione knew deep down that magic was real, and her hunch had been correct when she received her Hogwarts letter at the age of eleven. She was blessed to have such understanding parents and let her attend the wizarding school to learn how to control her magic.
But now Hermione Granger was almost eight-teen years old and entering her seventh year. She had studied hard and made Head Girl. She always wondered who her biological parents were and why they had given her up for adoption. This year she was going to find out who they were. It was time to get some unanswered questions answered.
The war against Dark Lord Voldemort still in full swing. Muggle families were going missing or being killed. Hermione had told her parents if something bad was to happen that she had made them an untraceable portkey that would send them to a safe house. John and Jane didn't fully understand but they trusted their daughter's judgment.
Hermione hugged her parent's goodbye and ran through the barrier and onto Platform 9 3/4 that was filled with parents and students. She smiled when she saw a of redheads. She knew that were the Weasely family. She saw Ginny Weasely turn around and squeal in happiness at her best friend.
"Hermione! You look amazing!" said Ginny in excitement.
Hermione had taken the summer to make some changing in her life. She had reflected on the past six years, and knew it was time for a change. She had tamed her wild chestnut curls that now hung in loose curls stopped at her shoulders. She had formed a nicely womanly figure. But like everyone she didn't like everything about herself. But she was happy with the outcome. She had her mother take her for a full makeover of her closet. They had gotten more adult looking clothing the new school year. Hermione even started wearing some makeup that enhanced her lovely facial features. She wore the right amount to enhance her bright amber eyes and gloss to shine her slightly full lips.
"Thank you, Gin. I figured it was about time I took care of myself. You look great too." Hermione told her excitedly looking her best girlfriend.
Ginny had grown over the summer break. She had long shoulder length flaming red hair, fare freckled completion and womanly figure that had developed over the break.
"Thank you!" said Ginny.
The girls turned and laughed at the boys, Harry and Ron who had their mouths hanging open in shock at their best friend. Hermione had a pair of short jeans with a strapped yellow top with a pair of flip flops. She had slight bit of makeup on her face.
"You two act like you've never seen a girl before. I swear boys." Hermione laughed and pulled them into a tight hug.
The whistle blew for the students to bored the Hogwarts Express. They hugged Mr. and Mrs. Weasely and got on the train for the long journey school for their last year.
The four friends found a compartment in the back. They settled in for the ride. Hermione smiled at Ginny and Harry. She was so glad that they had finally gotten together. It took both Hermione and Ron to knock some since into him even with war still being fought.
Hermione chewed on her bottom lip trying to figure out a way to tell her three best friends that she was adopted. She had fought about telling them for years. She knew know was better time as any to tell them the truth.
"There's no easy way to tell you guys this but..."
"Please tell us you're not sick or something like that." Harry said interrupting his best friend of nearly seven years.
Hermione shook her head, "No. I'm not sick. I have been wanting to tell you this for years. I'm adopted. The Grangers adopted me when I was four years old. I was thrown from foster home to foster home. Because they didn't know what to do when my magic went crazy or I scared them. But then I was blessed to have Mom and Dad get me and embraced my magic."
"Merlin, Hermione don't scare us like that. We thought something really bad was going on." Ginny told her taking her into a tight hug. "We don't care if your adopted."
"You want to find to find your real parents. Don't you?" asked Ron. He had short flaming red hair, fare freckled skin, brown eyes and was tall and skinny.
"Yes, I do. I'm scared of the outcome. What if they don't like me or want me in my life." Hermione said in a scared voice.
"Then you will have us and your parents to love you no matter what." Harry told her and Ginny and Ron nodded quickly in agreement.
Hermione sighed in relief. It felt like a weight had been left off of her shoulders. She was grateful that had such friends in her life. They changed the subject to more lighter fun topic. Summer vacation.
