Ahoy! This idea has been playing at my brain for awhile, and so I wrote it. There are several other things I SHOULD be doing, but such is life I end up doing the complete opposite :) So here you go, another songfic.

PS I'm thinking at the beginning of this story Wu is the Oni/Dragon person equivalent to 10, and at the end he is '17'. Because he ages differently, I'm not sure how that all works.

Disclaimer: I do not own Ninjago, otherwise seasons 8-12 would have played out a bit differently, and I do not own Frozen, otherwise Elsa would already be canonically lesbian. Because I do not own Frozen, I also don't own this song

Warning: Small reference/spoiler for season 11

(it's been a month since Garmadon got bitten by the Devourer)

(he has been hiding in his room, not even coming out for his poor brother)

(music starts)

(spoken)

Wu: Garmadon?

(he knocks on the door in a rhythm)

(sung)

Wu: Do you want to come train with me?

Wu: Come on, lets go and play!

Wu: I never see you anymore, come out the door, it's like you've gone away!

Wu: (he whacks a training dummy with a stick playfully, pretending it's his brother) We used to be best buddies, but now we're not, I wish you would tell me why!

Wu: Do you want to come train with me? We could also have a sword fight,

(spoken)

Garmadon: Go away Wu!

(sung)

Wu: Okay bye...

First Spinjitzu Master: You mustn't let your anger control you. Conceal it,

Garmadon: Don't feel it,

Both: Don't let it show.

3 years later

(Garmadon still isolates himself from the world)

(Wu knocks rhythmically)

Wu: Do you want to come train with me?

Wu: Or do Spinjitzu in the hall!

Wu: I think some company is overdue, I've started teaching Aspheera how to do it all!

(spoken)

Wu: Spin again Joan!

Asheera: My name isn't Joan

(sung)

Wu: It gets a little lonely, all these empty rooms, just watching the hours tick by!

Wu: (Wu sits in front of a grandfather clock, and foreshadows the future) Tick-tock tick-tock tick-tock

Garmadon: I'm frightened father! My powers are getting stronger!

First Spinjitzu Master: Son, calm down...

Garmadon: No! Don't touch me, I don't want to hurt you

4 years later

(spoken)

Wu: I will see you in two weeks father!

First Spinjitzu Master: I will miss you Wu. Watch the golden weapons while I'm away, won't you?

Garmadon: Must you go?

First Spinjitzu Master: You'll be fine, my son. Look out for your brother

(a few weeks later)

(Wu gets news the First Spinjitzu Master is dead. He realizes that his father had not planned on coming back. They hold a funeral, Garmadon doesn't come)

(spoken)

Wu: Garmadon?

(sung)

Wu: Please, I know you're in there, Misako's been asking where you've been.

Wu: She says have courage, and I'm trying to, I'm right out here for you, just let me in.

Wu: We only have each other, it's just you and me. What are we going to do?

Wu: Do you want to come train with me? (he lets out a small sob and slides down the door, wishing his brother would come out)

(on the other side, Garmadon is also crying. He feels the anger of his fathers betrayal and abandonment of them fuel the venom in his veins. He wishes he could come out the door too.)

(But he can't)

(music ends.)

*crying* You can't tell me this isn't what happened, this is probably exactly how it played out and you can't change my mind *sniff*

I suppose Garmadon was in quarantine too. Just like me. And you. And the world. UGH
