The rain fell without pause, hard, harsh and cold. For many it wasn't a problem in the slightest, whether by way of umbrella, newspaper, or heavy hooded coat the precipitation was avoided. For a single young woman and the panda that walked beside her however, there was no evading the downpour. Her red hair fended off water for the simple reason it would absorb no more of it instead allowing it to run down her face and soak through her shirt revealing her lack of modesty. Of course save for the occasional dirty look or gawker none spared her a passing glance despite the way a blue glow emitted from the valley of her chest.

"You know old man this bites! What kind of hero does this?" She snarled glaring at the panda trudging along beside her. "I don't see why we need to go see your friend. I'd rather find a way to get rid of this." she gestured at herself. "I just want to be a guy again!"

The panda snarled once before swinging his hand around and materializing a sign, ~Stupid boy! Soun runs a dojo and it's not just for the art! He helps with quirk use as well. He will help us.~

The girl shook her head sending her pigtail flying this way and that. "I still say if we beat that fool bad enough he'd have fixed the problem!" She paused to glare at him, "you know what, screw it, I'm going back to China." She turned on her heel and started back the way they'd come only to slump to the ground as the sign caught her in the back of the head.

This however, unlike the rest of their interaction didn't go unnoticed. "Hey someone call a hero! That guy's taking that girl!" A passerby cried.

The Panda glanced about before tossing the girl over his shoulder and rushing off. Behind him he could see the shape of a man rounding a corner on a wave of concrete. Turning the corner the Panda leapt off the ground and took to the fence as he began sprinting as fast as his legs could move him, which was by all rights at a pretty decent pace.

For a time that's all he did, run, cornering and taking the most random route he could concoct in an attempt to make sure the hero wasn't on his trail. After all, the hero wouldn't understand, they never did. So what if he took a offering here or there, or disciplined his son in the only way that seemed to get through his hard head. It wasn't any of their business. It wasn't like he was hurting anyone, and it was for the art, and so his son would be the best! He slid to a stop outside a large gated home marked 'Tendo Ke.' Below that a second sign. 'Students report for your training in the dojo at the appropriate hour, visitors please ring bell. Challengers please Fonda formal letter of request.'

He paused, he wasn't a student, and he wasn't quite sure if he should count himself a visitor either, Soun might as well be his brother after all their time training under the master and the friendship that came with it. As the girl started to shift about the Panda shrugged and pushed the gate open wide striking the bell as he passed into the yard.

"Dammit pop." The redhead turned and drove her knee into the Panda's head sending him staggering back as he dropped his captive. The blue light began to build at her chest again and steam emanated from her form.

"He-hem." A deep masculine voice stopped the redhead cold as she turned her attention to him a blue flame no bigger than her palm flicking to life above her cocked fist. It was only them that their location registered in her mind. The flame died away as quickly as it'd come. They stood at the gates of an older home, one that's style had gone out of fashion well before the rise of quirks. In front of her was an older man with a thin frame, long black hair and mustache wearing a brown gi.

She fell into a shallow bow, "I'm Saotome Ranma," She said, "sorry 'bout this."

She expected many things from the man, a sudden rage at hearing her family name, they question of why she was arguing with a panda, a call for the police or even a hero. What Ranma didn't expect was a flash of recognition to pass across the man before he wrapped her in a hug.

"Oh, Happy Day! We can-" He choked on his words as he pulled Ranma against him and craned his neck to stare at the chest being pressed against him.

Even as he stumbled backward he was replaced by a young woman with shoulder length brown hair wearing short shorts and a tight top. "Daddy?" She asked before poking Ranma's chest, "Wasn't your friends son supposed to be a boy?"

"Nabiki." The woman who could only be Nabiki's older sister said in an almost affronted tone, "I doubt she has any control over her gender!" She stopped and fixed Ranma with a questioning look. "You don't do you?"

Still shocked at the man's surprise and the other girls forwardness Ranma could only shake his head. To be sure, amidst the world of quirks there was likely someone out there who's ability allowed a change in their gender, so her question wasn't as odd as it could have been.

Relief flooded the older girl, "You see, it was probably a miscommunication." She smiled slightly and Ranma felt his heart momentarily flutter in his chest.

"Jeez you two! Don't you see, your making her uncomfortable." The youngest girl added as she finally joined the conversation. She smiled at Ranma, "I'm Akane Tendo, my quick is Impact and I'm heir to this Dojo." She stood taller as she spoke, as if she'd announced a heroic presence.

Ranma nodded, "I can tell." And he could, the way she moved spoke of martial arts training, though it didn't seem like it was enough to be boasting about in his opinion. Heck, she didn't even have enough awareness to notice a panda walking up behind her.

"Dammit old man." Ranma snapped echoing her early words, she jolted into motion blurring past Akane to deliver a punch to the Panda's stomach when was intercepted by a raised paw. "You can't just attack someone like that! It's why you never made it as a hero!"

He followed his words with a volley of punches each which was deftly caught by the panda. Soon the fight moved across the yard until Soun cleared his throat once more. "He-hem." The voice reverberated over them shaking them quite forcefully.

"Akane, why don't you take Ranma into the dojo and spar." He moved beside his daughter and eyed her until she nodded with a smile. She bowed formally and Ranma found himself staring at her curiously.

"Ranma-San, would you to spar with me?" She seemed to excited about it Ranma found himself nodding even though his goal was to decline. He was about to back track when she cut him off again, "Don't worry, I'll take it easy on you."

Stiffening, Ranma nodded.

Fire rolled through his veins as he followed her past the Koi pond and into the Dojo. It was clean and well kept without the slightest smell of sweat or cleanser. A small shrine against the wall opposite the door caught Ranma's attention, the woman in the photo was clearly Souns wife. The resemblance to Kasumi and Nabiki was to great to be anyone else. His urge to fight, to win waned as he looked at it. After all, who would want to embarrass someone in front of their mothers shrine?

"So we'll go to first contact okay?" Akane asked as she settled herself into a tight karate stance. One emphasizing power.

Internally Ranma groaned, he didn't want to do this! It wasn't a fight and it wasn't like he'd have to hit her, so it wasn't against his honor or anything, but still. The eager look she had stop any protests he had and moved to stand across from her.

"Fine. Whenever your ready."

He stood there arms at his side and head tilted as he waited. He didn't have to wait long, as whether due to starting the fight or his stance Akane charged at him her face twisted in rage and concentration. He sidestepped a straight punch ducked beneath her kick and launched himself into the air and over her head.

The process continued for a time, with Akane missing by the barest of margins and Ranma used the time anything goes strategy number one, or put simply annoy and evade, to break down her style. It was focused on offense and hard power strikes. Her forms were solid, an obvious indicator of her practice and if she were looser and more adjustable Ranma had no doubt that he would've been forced to drop the primary tactic of the Saotome style.

However, she wasn't. So, even if the style would allow her quirk to be used effectively, it didn't matter in a fight where she couldn't access it. Or if it never made enough contact to be effective.

"Why aren't you fighting back! Stop just dodging and come at me!" Her face flushed with anger and Ranma nodded and blurred forward bypassing her defenses which hadn't made it into place by the time of his arrival and he pressed one finger to her forehead.

She froze and Ranma stepped backwards until he was a fair distance from her. After a minute passed Ranma was sure he was going to have to get her family to reboot her or something. At two Akane blinked but otherwise remained catatonic. Finally at the five minute mark Ranma started for the door just as Akane moved. She acted as if her joints were stiff as steel and she were a robot of some kind but at least she was moving.

"Heh, Heh, you're good." She chuckled as she set about adjusting her gi and tightening her belt. "At least you're a girl."

Ranma cocked his head. The obvious question popping into his head, what did she have against guys? Followed by the realization of what was likely coming next, it wasn't going to be anywhere near pretty. Scratching the back of his head he chuckled with her.

"Akane..."

"Akane, Ranma, the bath is ready, dinner will be done soon, so you'd both better get washed up." The voice of Akane's Eldest sister came and stopped Ranma cold.

"Right, Thanks Kasumi!" His sparring partner called back. As she met his eyes again her earlier smile once again on her face his heart fluttered like it had when Kasumi spoke to him and just as it had previous corrected itself a moment later. "Why don't you use it first? Just don't take to long, Kasumi's dinner is to amazing to let go cold" She said.

With a nod Ranma headed for the door and paused, "thanks for the spar." He called over his shoulder. The words made him want to lose his meager lunch. Sure, the popularity the Martial arts held had vanished not to long after quirks began to pop up en mass but to call her style an art was akin to calling a child's finger painting a work equalling that of Picasso. In other words it just wasn't.

As he entered the house Ranma found himself frozen in place by a sight he never thought he'd see. His father, Genma Saotome, the man once known as 'The Blitz Hero: Platoon', the man who trained him in the art, was in the parlor playing charades as a panda with Soun Tendo. He blinked, than again. Still, the sight didn't change in the slightest.

Yet, what was weirder, at least in Ranma's opinion, probably due to seeing his father go to great lengths to communicate after the energy he used for his quirk ran out, usually by scratching a message into the ground, a tree, or even an unattended udon cart, was the fact that Soun was truly trying to interpret the ridiculous gestures being made. And was failing horribly.

A soft hand settled on Ranma's shoulder and only countless hours of training in regards to not showing any weakness kept him from jumping like a cat just spooked from its nap. "Ranma-Chan, the furo is just through there. The in use sign is on the inside."

He fought back the shiver as he turned to face the serene faced young woman. Ranma's started at her wide eyed, there hadn't been the slight cracking of the floor, the softness of her breathing, or even a flu auction in the energy she gave off. She smiled at him, either unaware of what she'd managed to accomplish or and in Ranma's opinion, she took measures to hide her skill away for some reason or other.

"Thank you." he uttered and headed toward the room Kasumi had pointed to.

"Sounds like the second half of the word, Drive? So Ive? Is that right Panda-San?" Ranma couldn't hold back a small snort as Soun's response to his father reached him.

A few minutes later he'd clean himself and was stepping into the bath relishing the hot water and the effect that he could only describe as an instantly appearing tingling that faded just it rippled across his skin and he changed. His red hair became darker until it settled on a black, his bright blue eyes changed their hue to a darker blue but the most notable difference, his chest which once sported breasts changed into chiseled muscle Even as the rest of his body became one belonging to a man as well.

"Dammit pops." He grunted eyes locked on the location of the parlor though the wall, "I just want to go back and make that bastard change me back."

Despite his words Ranma tilted his head back against the edge of the tub. There was no way of avoiding any of the coming storm and Ranma knew it. Running wasn't an option, his honor wouln't allow it and it just so happened if he hid the fact that He was a guy, than when Genma finally got fed p with charades, he'd spill the beans completely.

No, hiding was useless.

Slowly, he began drifting closer to the waiting arms of Morpheus when he heard the outer door slid open.

"Ranma, it's early time for dinner and Kasumi won't let me sit at the table until I've washed off! I hope you don't mind sharing the tub." Akane called.

He couldn't argue with her, or at least not with her earlier statement, Kasumi's food smelled wonderful. It was only than that the weight of her words struck.

"Wait A-Akane!" He cried, launching himself from the tub, he reached for the towel settled atop the counter just as the door slid open and there she was, nude as the day she was born save for the washcloth she held at her side.

The two stared, growing redder and redder and the soft blue glow from Ranma's chest grew with each passing moment until Akane slowly closed the door and screamed. He heard the thunder of footsteps as he hurried his way from the tub and had hardly dressed when the door opened again revealing Soun Tendo.

"You've been to Jusenkyo I see. am I to assume it was your father's idea?" He seemed to already know the answer as he stepped away from the door and gestured Ranma from the room as Akane returned wrapped tightly in a towel, carrying what looked to be an extremely large rock or small boulder and behind her trailed her sisters and Genma. He stopped his daughter with a raised hand.

"Son, why don't you introduce yourself again."

Ranma bowed slightly, "I'm Ranma Saotome, sorry about this."

His words stopped Akane and she glared at him accusingly, "You said you couldn't change your gender! You lying pervert!"

"I ain't a pervert! Freaking psycho!" Ranma snapped back the blue light piercing the red of his shirt. Behind Akane, Genma shuffled forward his eyes narrowed and a wooden beam gripped in his paw. How he managed it Ranma still didn't know.

"Settle down, you two. Daughter, I assure you, his quirk has nothing to do with his gender."

"Really daddy? Than why was he a she? Those were breasts and he was a girl." Nabiki interjected an eyebrow raised in challenge.

Ranma raised an eyebrow as Soun guided them into the dining area sans Akane who headed up to change and settled himself in. "We can discuss this over dinner."

Almost reluctantly Ranma settled himself beside his father who was doing his best to sit seiza, the piece of lumber gone from his paws as if it'd never been there in the first place. As soon as Akane returned still sporting an angered glare That made Ranma glad she had no access to a fire quirk or one of remote combustion, they began to eat.

A tense silence held the room.

"So are you going to explain this whole I turn into a girl without the aid of a quirk thing?" Nabiki asked.

"Nabiki-chan!" Kasumi said before sighing, "I'm sure it's an uncomfortable topic and he's our guest."

Ranma shot her a grateful smile which stalled as he caught Akane's glare.

"Don't you dare look at my sister like that you pervert."

"Akane." Soun said in warning, but Ranma was done, sapphire fire bloomed from his chest which split into two spheres just larger than a baseball and a tiny pixie like girl who seemed to be made up of nothing more than condensed orange and red flame whom returned Akane's glare two fold.

The affect was immediate, fog rolled through the room, a sign of pulsing blue energy filled Genma's hand and Akane scrambled back from her seat pale as a sheet. The only ones seemingly unaffected were Kasumi who didn't seem to respond at all and Nabiki who seemed curious and excited.

"Willa." Ranma snapped in warning, though it seemed to have as much effect as a quiet word to two bickering siblings. When it was obvious nothing was going to be happening Genma's sign faded into nothing and he returned to his meal.

"Willa, stop glaring and meet the Tendo's. Tendo-San, Kasumi-san, Nabiki-san, Akane-San, this is Willa, the will of my quirk." Willa bowed deeply at Ranma's words, at least to everyone who wasn't Akane, to whom she showed a single finger in way of greeting.

Nabiki clapped and scooted closer and reached toward the pixie only for the balls of fire to surge and remind her that they'd never been put out. She yanked her hand back as if she'd been burned, though it hadn't even got close to the fire.

"Not very friendly is she?" She remarked dryly as she examined her hand.

As if to prove Nabiki wrong, the fire sprite skipped through the air and took up residence on Kasumi's shoulder.

Ranma coughed, "she can be very friendly but when it comes to me or insults, she's" he paused for a moment turning various words over in his head. "Defensive." He finally settled on before turning his attention back to the pixie who nodded enthusiastically.

"So it's intelligent?" Akane asked. Ranma stiffened, it was a question he'd gotten often enough considering most considered it more likely he created the fire Sprite and controlled her every act.

"Yes," Ranma spit out through gritted teeth, "she's intelligent."

Soun cleared his throat drawing Ranma's attention away from Akane. "Now that the matter of Ranma's quirk is out of the way, why don't you explain Ranma?"

Sighing Ranma closed his eyes, "the thing is, the old man and me, we've been on the road a long time, and a lot of that was in Thailand, or China. Well, the last place we went in China before heading here was a place called Jusenkyo, and pops is horrible at other languages so he misread the signs."

He paused to glare at his father who merely shrugged as if to say, 'it happens, no big deal.'

"Anyway, he thought it said something about a legendary training ground, when it was a place where this guy would train his quirk by drowning various people or animals in springs and locking them there so he could use them later. Freaken nutjob, his descendent uses the place now and can curse anyone he touches with a form from one of the pools."

Ranma was certain that none of them would believe him when Soun cleared his throat. "I knew it was a cursed place, the Master told us that much, even said that it may just have been where the first quirk really manifested, but I didn't think it was so truly horrible."

"So Mr. Panda is actually your father?" Kasumi asked with the gentlest cocking of her head.

Nodding he gestured to his father, "yeah, old man will turn back to normal with hot water."

"So it's just an application of water?" Soun asked lifting a small glass of water and freezing as Willa took a place in front of him. "Oh, happy day! The schools can still be joined! Ranma my boy you've met my daughters, Kasumi she's nineteen, Nabiki, she's seventeen, and Akane, she's sixteen, choose any one and she's yours to marry!"

"Father"

"Daddy!"

"Dad!"

The surprised statements came from the siblings all at once and they all stopped and glanced between each other before turning their attention back to their father.

"We aren't chattel daddy!" Nabiki said speaking when neither of her sisters took the initiative back, "the age of arranged marriages, even for quirk marriages went out decades ago!"

"I don't want to marry that pervert!" Akane snapped.

Kasumi bit her lip and looked over Ranma one more time, "he's so young Father."

Ranma leapt to his feet, "look, it ain't like I really want ta be married to any of ya either! I'm going..." His words left him as a surge of fog filled the room shaping into a large demonic head that floated above Soun.

"And what is wrong with my daughters that you don't want to marry them? Are you to good for them?" Soun snarled and slowly lifted himself to his feet.

Rapidly Ranma shook his head as Willa took a place beside him her orange body flickering with blue light. "It ain't nothen like that Tendo-San! I just don't have time for marriage. I gotta get back to China and make that jerk change me back to normal and back here in time for Yuuei's entrance exams!"

His words seemed to pull the majority of the fuel from Soun's ire and the demonic manifestation shrank significantly.

Nabiki drummed her fingers across the table as she cast an appraising eye on Ranma making him feel very much like a piece of meat. "Yuuei huh? Aiming high aren't you? The exams are in a couple of weeks, I doubt you'd make it back in time and even if you did, you're still just as likely to get struck by lightning as get in to the hero course."

"I'll get in." Ranma grunted at her as he moved Willa from his shoulder down on to the table as she jumped up and down in excitement. "But only a couple of weeks, huh?"

"Nabiki-chan is in the support course at Yuuei and Akane plans to take the very same exam that you are." Kasumi added with no small amount of pride filling her face.

"It would seem that I will have to decide for you," Soun nodded to himself, "I would normally have chosen Akane but due to the issues that has made your start rather rocky."

"Too say the least," Nabiki murmured interupting him.

Soun cleared his throat silencing his daughter before continuing. "I believe Nabiki will be the best option."

"No Dad! I will not let that pervert anywhere near my sisters!" Akane screamed

Just like that the calm and collected Soun Tendo dissolved into a fit of tears that would give any two year old a run for his money. As did the last vestiges of the demonic head he had created.

"Ka-ka-Kasuuumii Akane yelled at meee!" He wailed without the slightest hint of pride.

Ranma watched as Kasumi gently wrapped Soun in her arms and patted him on the back soothingly. "Akane, you should know not to talk to father like that."

Akane winced, and looked away shamefully.

"Well, she's not wrong. It's not like I really want to be engaged." Nabiki stated with a shrug, "No offense Ranma."

Ranma smirked and offered his own shrug in response. "Can't blame ya, anyway, looks like we'll be stuck like this for now. Sorry 'bout this."

Dinner was eaten in silence after that, save for the sparse conversations Soun would initiate with one of his daughters of course. Or the even rarer ones directed at his. Questions that recieved the shortest and simplest answer Ranma could manage. The last thing he was tied to see was the demonic head that could have filled an one with terror so horrible it would end up running for the hills. It just wasn't worth it.

The weeks past quickly and Ranma quickly fell in to a routine. Wake up by being thrown out the window and spend the next hour sparring with his father. Eat breakfast. A quick run through the neighborhood. Go through his kata. Lunch. Working with Willa and finally dinner. Rinse, repeat.

Finally Ranma stood in front of the gates of Yuuei, He walked among a small crowd just behind a group of girls, one of which just so happened to be Akane who's relationship with him could only be defined as hellacious. Their relationship in fact could be described in one single sentence. She would see his call him a pervert and walk off, her nose held high.

He filed into the auditorium and took his seat tapping one the page that lay face down of his desk as a tall man, with a taller hair do, orange tinted shades and a black outfit that reminded Ranma of several of the American rockers that'll popped on the tv from time to time on the tv's he'd seen in shop windows as his father went out to gather funds.

"Welcome listeners! Before you is the first part of the Yuuei entrance exams! You have a single hour one the clock."

There was a gasp a few rows ahead of him catching Ranma's and a number of others attention as a pale green haired kid covered his mouth. "It's Present Mic! The Voice Hero! I listen to his show all the time. He's teaching at Yuuei?"

He would've continued murmuring if the curly headed blond didn't snarl something at him that Ranma didn't catch but left the mutterer even paler if possible.

"Thanks for listening little listener!" The hero announced pointing at the teen proving he'd heard just like the rest of them. "Now, I wish you all the best of luck, though if you're here you probably don't need it. BEGIN!"

Even though the man's voice all but blared through the silent room nobody really reacted, whether at the revelation of the man's identity, though Ranma still couldn't must up any real memories of a Hero with the name Present Mic, or for a reason that Ranma himself didn't understand. Still, he flipped over his booklet and twirled his pencil in between his fingers as he read through the questions as a pit of anguish filled his stomach.

He wasn't great at academics, but it wasn't like he was the worst, if he was than the state would have sent Pro Her's to removing him from his Father's care a long time previous. Still, a single thought filled his head as he read over the worksheet which just so happened to have a large multiple choice section, three essay questions, a section on history, and law. That thought was: " I don't know any of this!"

He struggled through question after question, and by the end of the hour when the alarm sounded, he'd found while he wasn't totally positive of his answers, he had at least managed to answer the majority of the questions. Around him other students were groaning and stretching or talking with their neighbors. Likely about there answers, Ranma mused, it was something he didn't understand, sure it would be nice if you knew you'd done well but why would you want to know if you got the same answer as someone else? Wasn't it just as likely they didn't know the answer either and you both got it wrong?

No, it was simply better to leave the matter lie. "That was a lot tougher than I thought it would be." The girl seated beside Ranma announced as she stretched her arms upward. "Still I think I did alright, how about you?" She asked turning her round face toward him.

Ranma nodded. "Yeah, was real annoying," he grunted.

"Okay listeners, I hope your not to tired out by the test, because it's time for the practical exam!" Present Mic hollered raising one finger into the air. "We do this by simulating mock battles between you all and our robotic faux villains!"

Three robotic forms appeared one the screen behind him marked with a 1, 2, or 3.

"It's pretty simple but listen up always, beat the one marked with a one you get one point, the one with the two beside it will get you two points and so one ya hear?"

A blue haired guy with glasses s rigidly stood up a few seats to his right. "Excuse me!" He called drawing the entire auditoriums attention toward him.

"Yes what is it listener 4111?"

Blue hair, as Ranma dubbed him; stood straighter and adjusted his clothes as the spotlight fell on him. "This handout lists four types of villains not three? I must know if this is a common mistake considering that Yuuei is supposed to have the best Heroics course in the country!"

"Okay, thanks for bringing that up but a little patience would have gotten your the answer to. The fourth villain is worth a total of zero points, zip, nada, zilch. Ya get me? It's there to get in your way and go on a rampage. Better to avoid it if you can." As Present mic spoke the three figures disappeared and a figure a bit larger than the other three took its place on the screen. "Now in addition, you cannot attack each other, do it and you're out of here. You'll be split amongst the sixteen different facilities, your can find yours by looking at the visitor badge your'd been dealt upon entry. I'll see you there in fifteen minutes."

Taking his card Ranma scanned over it until e spotted the rather large F in the bottom left hand corner and stood. The crowds were pushing toward the door and Ranma winced, he'd no want to fight his way through that mob. Instead, he turned his attention to the window a ways above him, it was open to vent the heat of the massive number of bodies within produced and Ranma know he'd found his exit. Bounding on to the desk he took a few steps before pushing off and flying through the air like a missile and soared through the open widow with ease.

The descent wasn't anymore difficult than flying through the window, he rolled himself into a ball as he approached a tree and kicked off of it like a springboard launching himself toward the wall and bounced between the two until he'd reached the ground.

Needless to say he was the first to make it to Facility F. Student-wise at least.

A man wearing a costume that was something akin to a construction tractor with a bare torso with a helm similar to a scoop in the shape of a Tyrannosaurus rex. He also had metal at the tips of their fingers. The Pro Hero Power Loader.

His fellow want to be students gathered around, there was a pink haired girl, a blonde boy with a tail, a young man with red skin and orange eyes and what appeared to be a young woman who was invisible. There was quiet conversation, measured but almost bordering on camaraderie. Ranma almost snorted.

"Go!" Power Loader called.

There was a half second of pause but they all surged forward, Ranma pounded through the gate jostling his way to keep the front. Blue fire swamped at his hands as Willa flew above him, he spotted a one pointer at the next corner and raised a hand a ball of fire shot like a cannonball from his fingers striking the metal its head scorching black as it went slack. The first of the robots to fall, a grin spread across his face. He took the next which had followed the first like a duckling following its mother, by putting his foot through the wire extending from the back of what passed for its head.

His breath quickened and he ran harder, every few moments he'd flick out a hand to allow a blue ball of fire the size of a golf ball floated up to surround him. Ahead of him Willa barreled into the chest of a two pointer. One after another the robots fell, melted into so much slag; he turned onto a square where a full on brawl was going on.

Three three pointers had their weapons focused on the invisible girl, made visible only due to being caked with concrete dust. She had not a stitch of clothing on and the only other competitor, the red skinned orange eyed teen he'd seen at the gate stare at her smoke curling from his skin.

Ranma didn't slow "Number two: Incarnation." The flames that surrounded him blazed through the air setting up in a hexagonal pattern as six massive balls of fire above the robots and the girl. He slipped between the robots and grabbed the girls shoulders as the orbs of fire began firing searing lances of the blue conflagration.

"Stay still." He said as dust began filling the air. It died down as quickly as it had come and Ranma pulled his shirt from his back. "Either wear it or use it to wipe off the dust you can."

Not bothering to wait for his response he rushed down the street the waiting orbs breaking up and following along behind him. As he moved more orbs of fire joined the rest in the air, a block away he began tallying his points, seven, three pointers, nine, two pointers and twelve, one pointers. Fifty one points. Honestly, he didn't know if it was enough, he hoped but he wasn't going to leave it to chance, he was the best after all.

Crouching low he bounded off a building and took a position atop a lamppost giving him a decent view of the streets around him. There were a few robots down the streets, one had a body limp over its arm. "Number six, invocation: sniper." He snapped.

A ball of fire filled his palm and a single shot spewed forth, he only had to watch for a split second and winced as the fire impacted the left half of the robots body rather than its head, still it fell. Ranma leapt from the post, as he touched down he jerked in surprise as a pair of arms broke through the wall beside him and wrapped about him holding him fast.

"Willa, Conflagration." He snapped at the pixie above him and her color changed from blue to a blinding blue white and descended upon the robot resulting in a series of sparks before the robot powered down. With a groan Ranma rubbed at the bruises on his chest and moved on.

The boy, because he could hardly be called a teen, was tiny barely coming to Ranma's waist, round balls topped his head rather than his hair. He was totally unconscious, and Ranma could do no more than pull the boy into an alley as the earth beneath him began to shake as if it were trying to split open.

"It isn't trying to." he murmured "it is." A colossal robot the size of a small sky scraper ripped its way free from the cityscape and it began to cause mass destruction. He glanced at the orbs of fire still floating about him there weren't even half as many as there had been just minutes before.

There was no real point in fighting he knew it would give no points, add that to the fact there wasn't any actual citizens in the mock city no hero in training would bother fighting the robot. There was nothing to gain, yet Ranma couldn't stop himself from bounding from side to side up the building until he stood atop the roof.

"It's gonna get fun." Ranma said to Willa, a grin plastering itself on his face. Long strides took him toward the behemoth more and more of the orbs trailing through the air behind him. Building after building passed beneath him and soon the robot towered over him

As he leapt them into the air the flaming globes began to whirl, faster and faster it spun until Ranma looked like a flaming drill his fist at its tip as he plunged into the metal of its body tearing through the wiring and ammo storage. There was a series of explosions that blasted Ranma toward the ground, into the concrete sending a cracked web spreading around him as the robot toppled to the ground.

"And that's time!" Power Loader's voice echoed across the mock city and Ranma chuckled, despite his pain his grin remained.

Author's Note:

I don't know how many people actually read these things but I'll give it a shot.

Regarding Phantasmal Soldier, it is not cancelled, not even close, I'm just a little stuck at a transitional point. they seem to be a weakness of mine. A very annoying weakness but one I am working on. Now that this is up, it may just go a little bit faster. I hope. Maybe. Now onwards to notes a bit more relevant to the story you hopefully just read.

I know there's not a whole lot of action in the chapter, but it's the first there's got to be some buildup doesn't there? If it's to dull and need more action, I have a scene or two I cut out, let me know and I may just re-add them.

To those who are fans of Akane, good for you, I'm not. I am not a fan of the whole of her personality. It's just to extreme.

I got this idea from watching the My hero academia anime, specifically when shoot mentioned quirk marriages. It seems like the two should fit together very well indeed.

Yes I do have plans for Ryoga, The Amazons, even Kuno, gosunkugi and a few others.

How did you like the whole Jusenkyo curses could be one of the first quirks? Better question what did you think of Ranma's quirk?

Will there be a Harem? Not likely, it's just not in Ranma's nature. Sorry to those who really wanted this outcome. I'm going to be opening a poll to find out which girls you all think will be interested in our favorite golden boy.

Oh and send me a message if you have a few quirks you want to see in the story. I can usually work stuff like that in.

Also, I'm looking for a Beta! Yes, I am looking though the options myself but a number of the candidates so far I would have chosen don't seem particularly active anymore.
