Wardes had a cocky smirk plastered on his face in his mind; he had convinced Louise to leave that silent creep of a familiar and, now, killing the prince would be simple. He'd need to deal with Louise's little friends but, the first order of business was using the mind control ring on her.

Or that was the plan until the supposedly magicless girl completely reversed his once smug disposition. He had just slipped the ring on her finger when a small smile slipped onto her face, and warm orange cracks appeared on the enchanted jewelry. While the prince and her companions looked shocked, Louise just seemed to keep that amused look while raising the finger he had put the ring on, remarking, " Such a cheap knock off."

She turned her eyes back to him, getting him slightly agitated as the ring broke completely, continuing with the cryptic line," You should know Wardes that even a desperate girl doesn't like a fake ring." Her look twisted to be more stern-looking as she closed her eyes for a moment, adding on, "Especially one enchanted with such a pathetic excuse for a brainwashing spell."

"Miss Louise?" Wales looked surprised at the turnaround of Louise's demeanor; she appeared to be a rather kind all things considered. Now her tone was crueler and, even he could feel the malice ebbing from her expression. Before he could say anymore, though, Wales, Kirche, and Tabitha snapped out of their shock when Wardes called out for help.

In moments several Reconquista soldiers had surrounded them, and while the three raised their wands expecting a fight, Louise kept her eyes closed seemingly unaffected by the ambush. Sighing Louise snickered out, " So, the mighty and strong captain of the Griffon knights needs a bunch of half-rate soldiers to gang-up on some schoolgirls and, prince?"

"You bitch!? Who are you calling half-baked?!" one of the soldiers snarled out, lunging at Louise before Wardes could say a word to him. As the man brought his blade down at the girl and Kirche made a move to pull the small girl back, Wardes saw how the small smile Louise wore turned vicious.

In a split second, the sound of cutting flesh filled the air, and a severed arm met the ground. Covered in a mantle of wispy black cloth and a metal crown with spikes coming out of it, Louise's familiar who seemed to stalk behind her silently appeared suddenly. He had swiftly used the short blade that it kept at its side to sever the attacker's arm in a single swipe.

The man's blade twirled in the air, coming down as Louise's eyes cracked open, revealing an orange gleam. Tabitha had made a move towards her familiar as the three left forgotten in the back watched Louise catch the sword with a level of expertise they hadn't seen before. The dark ethereal mist rolled over her arm as she quickly turned swinging the sword with the flat of the blade, the cloud creating the image of a ghostly black mace.

Despite the move being short, a shock wave of energy blew the three men to her left backward. Her familiar released an ear-piercing screech to the right, slowly sheathing the short sword in favor of its preferred mace as the men dropped to their knees while covering their ears in pain. Wardes and Louise's allies watched in similar states of shock and horror as the Zero's familiar brutally bludgeoned the men before they could recover.

Louise then decided to look at Wardes; he held back a stutter while commenting on his former bride's eyes, "Louise What...What manner of devil have you aligned yourself with?!" Her pupils had become sharp black slits while the rest of her eyes blazed with withing flames.

"Ju...just what is this?" Kirche uttered out, looking at the scene of Louise slowly moving toward Wardes, her familiar towing next to her brandishing it's bloodied mace. That's when she went to tell Tabitha and Wales that they needed to leave, only to see something that made her freeze up.

Tabitha and the prince had fallen asleep, the dark mist-like aura rolling around them. Before the fire mage could make a move, the black breath took effect, causing the last thing she would see for some time was one of Louise's burning eye's beaming at her in satisfaction.

Giving Wardes her full attention, she held back a small laugh when the man panicked, going to bark at the men she had sent flying, "You fools it was a single strike that missed, gather yourselves and assist me!" After seconds passed without a response, he turned his eyes from Louise and the Witch-King, seeing a scene that sent him into a panic.

The men he was calling to were dead, killed by the swords of three more stalking shadowy figures adorned in black cloth. Louise's voice stopped Wardes from being able to think, "The Nazgul, terrifying, isn't it how quickly things have reversed thanks to the strategy they devised?"

"The...their strategy?" Wardes asked fear crawling up his back as Louise regarded the Witch-King replying," Yes, more specifically, this was my right hand's plan, something he can do quite well." She then went on to tell him, "and what a plan; indeed, I now hold all the cards, the only thing left is to make you obedient and collapse Reconquista from the inside."

Stumbling back, he scowled out, "Never! Like you could ever do such a thing to me!" Wardes released a powerful blast of lightning towards Louise, which the Witch-King intercepted using his sorcery to block the attack. Wardes shuffled backward, blasting magic at the Witch-King while thinking, "Griffon to my aid hurry, I must make a quick escape from this she-devil!"

"Screee!" he heard the call of his Griffon, gaining a slightly confident smile, happy to make a quick escape. Only for his hopes to be dashed when his Griffon flew past him crashing several feet away. Then following it was a horrid stench, and a feather-less bird-like monstrosity descended upon the broken beast. Wardes could only wordlessly watch as his last hope was devoured in front of him by the long-necked fellbeast.

That's when Louise's voice came from his back, "Is there something wrong, Wardes?" he turned to meet, not the small girl but, a towering giant adorned in dark armor. A massive blow to the leg forced him to a knee, and his cheek felt the cold touch of death as the large clawed gauntlet clutched his cheek.

"Raaaaaagh!" he howled in pain as the touch ignited in a violent orange flame, the burning glow overtaking his eyes. Louise's voice merged with a deeper one, a sound Wardes could feel was steeped in the darkest evils, "You will use the blade the Nazgul hand you to betray the leader of Reconquista. Injure him; the smallest cut is all you need to ensure your duty is done, then...die."

After Wardes was released, he nodded, taking a Mogul-knife from one of the Nazgul saying," It shall be done Dark One." the orange glow seemed to die down in his eyes as Louise turned to look at her sleeping friends. The blaze of Sauron's eyes died down, shifting back to Louise's soft pink gaze, whispering, "Enjoy these sweet nightmares while you can, soon you three will have so many things to do and, Wales do make sure to take care of Henrietta."

Author's note

This one-shot features Louise summoning the Witch-King as her familiar, along with her being more cunning and manipulative. You could either take this scenario as one similar to Talion and Celebrimbor's, except Sauron is more forcefully imposing on Louise's mind. Or Louise could be Sauron reincarnated with Middle Earth in some way being ancient/lost history to Halkeginia and, after awakening to her memories of the past, she's set out to reclaim her dark throne.

I also tried to do a more actiony scene for this one, but I'm pretty sure it's poorly written... + feel free to use anything from the Idea fics if they spark your creative interests in someway!
