"Launchpad, you dingus! You could've gotten us killed!" Della shouted from the plane wreckage. Her face turned red and she threw her hat down. He hands balled into fist with the fiery plane wreck behind her. She looked at Launchpad. The other pilot looked like a scared puppy with his tail tucked between his legs. Della was used to him crashing the plane, but that didn't mean she enjoyed it.

"What was even the stinking point of bringing us to this stinking island on this stinking day!" she burst. Launchpad began to stutter. "Why take me to this mysterious island all alone without anyone else in the first place!" The two pilots were the only ones on the tropical island. The island's beauty was destroyed along with the Sun Chaser. She had no clue how they were even going to get back to Duckburge.

Della waited for Launchpad's response.

"Well... Well I...I-"

"I'm waiting?" she urged on.

Launchpad got a hold of himself. "Well, I just thought this would be a good place to propose."

Della stopped. "What?"

He got down on one knee and pulled out a small ring in a box.

"Della D, you are the most wonderful pilot I've ever met, so adventurous and reckless. Miss D, will you become Mrs. McQuack and marry me?"

Launchpad waited. He bit his beak, wondering if he had done it right. She was so quiet for so long. Did he do something wrong?

"Wait... we're we even dating?" she asked confused after a long moment of silence. "I thought so. Ever since I accidentally spilt that hot coffee on you, and you shouted really loud. Was that not what happened?" he wondered. He knew she was going to say no. He just knew it. "Have you been telling people we were dating?" she wondered. Launchpad couldn't breathe. He couldn't stand to wait for her answer. "Yeah," he replied. "So will you?" he asked again.

"I-I-I" Della was tongue tied. She grew nervous and began to each word she said, her volume grew. "I mean, sure you're cute, you're funny, you've got a good heart, not to mention those abs, (nervous laugh), and sure, I've had a bit of a crush on you for a while now, but marry you? I- I just... Wow am I sweating. Is it getting hot to you? I'm real hot. I mean, not in a weird way! I'm rambling, aren't I? I should shut up now."

Launchpad stared at her. Was it a yes or a no? Oh, he knew he did it wrong. "Well?" She was quiet again. They both felt very awkward. Launchpad looked down. He knew she would say no. He looked up again when he felt something wet on his cheek. A kiss? He looked at her, and she smiled. "Yes!"

Dewey swung his legs back and forth in a bored way while sitting on his bed.

"When do you think mom will be back?" he asked his brothers and Webby. "Who knows," Louie said, setting up some dominoes on the floor. "Whenever she's done doing whatever she's doing with Launchpad," Huey added. "I think they're cute together," Webby said. The triplets stopped what they were doing. "What did you say?" Dewey asked. "That your mom and Launchpad make a cute pair."

"Our mom and Launchpad?" Huey asked. She nodded, not noticing the strangeness between the triplets. "They're not dating," Louie said. "That's not what L.P. told me," the pink duckling said. All three of the boys made a weird face. "Gross! No way, he's my best friend," Dewey said.

That's when they heard a knock on the bedroom door. "Come in!" Huey called. Their great uncle walked in. "Big news, lads! I just got off the phone with your mother! She's engaged!" Scrooge cheered. "WHAT!" the three of them shouted. Dewey fell of his bed while Louie's dominoes toppled over.

"Ooh! Who the lucky mister?" Webby asked, though she already had an idea. "None other than my favorite personal driver, Launchpad!" Scrooge said. His smile reached from ear to ear while each of the triplets had their jaws open and were speechless. Scrooge made a giddy noise. "I've got to go tell your uncle Donald!" He hopped away humming.

"Ooh! Isn't this exciting, guys! Guys?" Webby said. She stared at her friends. She could see Huey trying to grasp for words but was unable to. All he did was open and close his mouth in different ways. Webby noticed Louie was making unintelligible noises. "Buh, buh, wow, wah, waoh, bum..." and so on. Dewey just sat there wide eyed, unblinking. She waved a hand in front of his face. "Guys? Earth to Huey, Dewey, and Louie?" Webby said.

It was a while before Dewey shook loose of his trance. She could see the news sinking into him. "LAUNCHPAD MARRY MOM!?" he shouted as loud as he could. As if on command, a distant shouting could be heard from the house boat. They immediately recognized it as Donald. Huey was next to speak. "Were they even dating!?" Louie just mumbled a simple, "Oh, boy."

"Are you guys okay?" Webby asked.

"Okay? Okay!? Yep, just FINE!" Huey said in a way that worried Webby.

"You guys, it's nothing to worry about," she said.

"But that's SO weird!" Louie exclaimed.

"My best friend marrying my mom? My best friend will be my dad?" Dewey thought aloud.

"What's wrong with that?" the innocent girl asked. The three ducklings looked at each other then at her. A million things!, thought the triplets.

Then it came. It was the night before the wedding day. Most of the triplets' worries had disappeared by then, but they still had a few. Now, it was 11 o' clock at night. Dewey couldn't sleep. He knew he should be excited, but he was nervous. In less than 24 hours, he would have a dad. He tried to sleep but the uneasiness in his stomach wouldn't let him. Maybe some water would help him sleep.

He silently tiptoed out of bed towards the bathroom. He turned on the sink and grabbed a small glass. As he crept back, he heard someone whisper. "Dewey? You awake?" It was Huey. Dewey looked to the top bunk to see his older brother looking down at him. "Couldn't sleep either?" Louie said. All three of the ducklings were awake. "Can't stop thinking about tomorrow," Dewey said.

"Having a dad won't be so weird, right?" Huey put in. He sat up in his bunk.

"And it's not like we don't know the guy she's marrying," Dewey added.

"But, I mean..." Louie said.

His brothers stared at him, telling him to continue. Realizing what they wanted, he went on, saying, "It was already hard adjusting to a mom, what about a dad?" he said. "Well, it'll kind of be like uncle Donald," Dewey offered.

"That's what worries me," Huey said from atop his bunk. His brothers looked at him.

"I've always seen uncle Donald as a father figure, but if I have a dad, can uncle Donald and I still have that relationship?"

"Of course you can. We are related to him, and isn't relate the root word of relationship?" Louie comforted.

"I guess you're right," the red duckling said.

"But what about Launchpad and I?" Dewey asked. "What do you mean?" Louie wondered. "My best friend will be my dad! We won't have the same kind of relationship anymore. I mean, will we still be able to do stupid stuff together, or binge watch Darkwing, or see how fast we can fly in the Cloud Slayer without dying!" he said. "You can still do that if he's our dad," Huey said. "I'm sorry, you do what with him!" Louie asked. He never got an answer, but he wondered if he should keep a closer eye on his blue brother.

"But it won't be the same! Will have to call him dad? Will I have to change my name to Dewey McQuack?" Dewey continued."I'm sure mom won't make us change our names," Huey said. Then he added, "We should get some sleep." He laid back down and rolled over. "Yeah, I'm kind of tired," Louie said. Dewey nodded and climbed into his own bed.

Wedding day. Della had let Huey help plan the wedding. Huey had put Louie in charge of food and their friend Gosalyn in charge of pictures. The three of them were running around like chickens without their heads, making sure everything was in order.

Della was in the dressing room, putting on her dress with Webby and Beakly. "Oh, you're so pretty!" Webby exclaimed while doing Della's hair. "Oh, thanks," Della replied. Webby was the flower girl and was wearing a cute pink dress with a matching pink bow. When Webby was done, Della stood up. "Well?" she asked. She wore a long white gown with a floral pattern and she wore a white headband in her braided white hair. The headband had veil draping off of it and to her back.

Beakly smiled at her. "Gorgeous."

Della smiled. They heard a knock at the door. "Girls! Ye almost ready?" Scrooge called in. He opened the door and walked in. He stopped when his eyes locked on Della. "Curse me kilts..." He drifted off. Della smiled awkwardly. "Uncle Scrooge?"

"You're beautiful," he said.

"Uncle Scrooge, can I ask you a question?"

"Anything, dear," he said.

"Will you walk me down the aisle?" she asked.

He smiled. "Of course."

With Launchpad, like most of his plane landings, he was a nervous wreck. His eyes were wide, his hands were shaky, and his stomach was uneasy. He wasn't even dressed in his suit yet. In fact, they had accidentally forgotten it in the garage. Drake had left to go pick it up.

Dewey looked up at Launchpad.

"L.P., you good?"

"What if she changes her mind last minute? What if it doesn't work out? What if I'm not a good enough husband? I've never done this before!" Launchpad rambled.

Dewey realized that Launchpad had been just as nervous as he was.

"Dude, it's okay," Dewey said, a little to himself more than Launchpad.

"If I know anything about my mom, I know she's really good at commitment."

Launchpad took a deep breath. "You're right. I should just relax."

"Drake's back!" Fenton called. Drake rushed in the room carrying the suit. "Got it! Got it!" he said. He handed it to Fenton. "Took me forever to find it. It was on top of the tv and you left the tv on, by the way. But I turned it off," Drake told. Launchpad quickly dressed and they were ready.

Huey came in. "5 minutes," he said, holding up five fingers. He left to attend to other wedding things. Dewey could tell Launchpad was still nervous. He rested his hand on the groom. "You got this," he assured. Launchpad took another breath.

Fenton and Drake had left already to help Huey and Louie with stuff. "Will you be my best man?" Launchpad asked.

"What? You could have Gizmo Duck or Darkwing or literally anyone else be your best man and you chose me?" Dewey wondered.

Launchpad nodded. "You're my best friend," L.P. said. Dewey smiled. Launchpad still thought of him as his friend, even if he was going to be his dad soon.

"Okay," the blue duckling said. They smiled to each other while they heard Huey yelling from outside.

"Let's go, people! Chop, chop! Gosalyn! Stop taking pictures of Gyro choking on punch!"

The outdoor wedding began. All the guests were sitting in white plastic lawn chairs. Huey, Louie, and Gosalyn were standing off to the side, watching. Launchpad was waiting for his bride up front with Dewey, along with the priest. Manny, lil' bulb, and Fenton were on music.

Huey looked down at his clip board. "And... cue bridesmaids," he whispered.

One by one, the bridesmaids walked by. Violet, Lena, and Penny. Louie smiled to himself. Only his family would have a wedding that superheroes, aliens, headless horses, and shadows attended.

After the bridesmaids had passed, Huey looked down at his schedule. "Flower girl," he whispered next.

Webby came hopping along down the aisle. When she tossed a "flower", it popper and smoked, leaving an ash mark on the carpet.

"What was that?" Huey mini-paniced.

"Webby switched your flowers out for those little fireworks that pop when you throw them," Louie explained.

Huey's eyes widened. Gosalyn leaned over to him. "She said it'd be more exciting."

Huey nervously tried to pull down his hat, only to realize he hadn't worn it with his suit.

After Webby had gone up, the carpet was dotted with black burnt spots. Then everyone stood up. "Ooh, here comes mom," Huey said. The music changed. Della stepped towards the front.

Louie thought about the future. He tried to remind himself that having a dad would be like uncle Donald. But Louie didn't know Launchpad as well as his brothers. Launchpad was Dewey's best friend and Huey's woodchuck troop leader, but he didn't know Louie too well. Sure, Louie had helped him a few times after he was scammed, but Louie had also scammed Launchpad himself once or twice. Or maybe ten times.

Louie was shaken out of his thoughts when he heard the priest say, "You may kiss the bride!" Huey tapped Gosalyn on the shoulder. "Pictures!" he said. "Oh! Right!" she said. She pulled up her camera and took a picture of the kiss. When the couple broke apart, Della shouted, "Now who wants cake!"

Meanwhile...

On the eve of an aligned star

And it seems you're at the peak of your luck

Reaching your goal be from you far

Due to an offspring of clan McDuck

Magica listened to the prophecy intently. She took note of each line. "Aligned stars? But the stars won't align for another ten years. And clan McDuck is huge! How will I be able to tell which descendant?" She stared at the stone wall. The glowing blue words began to disappear. When they were gone, Magica looked at it angrily. "Uh! Dumb magic prophetic wall! Why can't you give me any real answers!" she shouted. The wall responded with nothing. She kicked it and walked away. "Fine. I'll get answers myself."
