I don't own any of this Paranorman belongs to Laika and Ed, Edd N Eddy belongs to Cartoon Network.
"Out of all the places to go, your parents decided to take us to this backwater town for a trip." Eddy complained, he and Double Dee walked through the downtown area of Blithe Hollow, about two days ago Double Dee's parents were asked to come to Blithe Hollow for business and since the town was a long mile away from Peach Creek they decided to bring their son and invited his friends along so he wouldn't get lonely.
"Now Eddy, mother and father aren't here for a vacation it's strictly a business trip." He retorted. "Yeah well their business trip could've been in Hawaii, Florida, Hollywood! But no instead it has to be in a town that has a witch obsession."
"Well I do agree that the witch theme is rather much, we just have to make do what we got. Besides it's best that were here considering that you and Ed ruined Kevin's birthday party."
"Hey shovelchin deserved it for not inviting us to his party." Eddy defended.
Double Dee gave him a annoyed look. "That doesn't warrant you to put a stink bomb in his cake."
Eddy let's out a chuckle. "Oh man the look on shovelchin's face, that was hilarious."
Double Dee crossed his arms. "But now he's probably plotting revenge on you and he most likely rallied up the other cul-de-sac children to get us, our only hope is that he's going to forget about it by the time we get back, though I very doubt it. "
Eddy let's out another chuckle. "Hey Ed remember the explosion when Kevin put the knife in the cake?" Eddy doesn't get a reply. "Ed?" Eddy and Double Dee turn around to see no Ed. "Hey where's lumpy?" The two looked around until Double Dee spotted their friend across the street looking at a store mannequin of a witch in a pose that shows her doing some brewery in cauldron with ghosts in the background.
Double Dee points over to him. "There he is."
Ed looked up at the witch with a big wide grin as being a fan of monsters this was his kind of town. Above the witch mannequin is a yellow banner that says 300th anniversary. "Ed what are you doing?" Double Dee asked as he and Eddy walked over to him.
"Looking at the witch of Transylvania 4 brewing up a spell to turn Billy into a mutant cheeseburger!" He replied dramatically which caused some of the people who were walking past them to glance at the three with strange looks.
"What are you talking about lumpy?"
Ed points to the witch mannequin with a smile. "My dear friend, that is not the witch from Transylvania 4." Double Dee corrected.
"It's not?" Ed said in confusion.
Double Dee shook his head, "Afraid not."
"So who is she?" Ed asked
"Yeah, what's with this town and witches?" Eddy also asked.
"Well according to what I read before we got here, the town prides itself on a witch trial that happen during the 1700's, which was one of the many witch trials that happened during those years which was the same as the werewolf trials in England. Though personally I don't approve of this town's use of that trial as an excuse for a tourist attraction as the suppose witch was most likely a innocent victim who was just different from anyone else."
"So they use this 'witch' to get money?"
Double Dee nods sadly. "Unfortunately Eddy yes."
Eddy smiled as a idea popped into his head. "Hmm, now there's an idea for a scam."
Double Dee looked at him deadpanning. "You can't be serious Eddy?"
"It's brilliant, we can just say that we discovered that Peach Creek had a swamp monster and get all the money for the merchandise."
Ed raised his hand and waved it around as if he was in a classroom. "Oh, oh, oh let me be the monster! Please Eddy let me be the monster!"
"But Eddy Peach Creek never had a swamp." Double Dee interjected which Eddy waved off. "Don't worry I'll figure something out." Ed suddenly gets closed to him while bouncing up and down with both arms frailing. "Please let me be the monster!" Eddy shoved him away. "Alright you can be the monster, just cool your jets monobrow."
Ed instantly gets back up with a very huge happy smile. "Monster for Ed!" Ed began to run around while laughing from across the street people stared at him, Ed then ran forward and crashed into someone causing himself and the person to fall on their butts.
"Oh dear." Double Dee rushes to the two of them with worry while Eddy followed slowly behind. Double Dee runs to the person Ed had ran into and offered his hand to him. "I'm terribly sorry my friend just got to excited and didn't see you."
"It's okay." The person replied quietly.
"Are you alright?"
"I'm fine."
The person is a eleven year old boy who is wearing a red hoodie, blue jeans, blue eyes, and had spiky hair that looked like it wouldn't stay down no matter how much he tried. The boy gets himself back up with his backpack that fell off of him in the collision which had dropped some of his items which were a couple books and zombie action figures. Ed looked at them and smiled at them, he points at one of them. "It's the zombie from The Dead Woke Up."
The boy looked up in surprise. "Uh yeah it is."
"Oh I love that movie."
The boy's eyebrows raised in interest. "You do?"
"Yes, especially the part where the zombies burst out of their graves and ate the groundskeeper alive."
The boy gives out a small smile. "The part where they invade the house."
"Or when the big zombie ripped someone in half."
"When the hero used a machine gun to mow all of them down."
"When the ending revealed that the zombies have taken over the world."
"Oh great another Ed." Eddy whispered to Double Dee. "Eddy manners." Double Dee scolded. Double Dee turns to the boy with a smile. "It's nice meeting you, even though it should have been under better circumstances. I'm Edd by the way that's spelled with two D's."
"I'm Norman."
"I'm Ed."
"And I'm Eddy." Eddy points to himself with a show off smile.
"You guys have the same name?" Norman said in amusement.
Double Dee nods in affirmative.
"Are you brothers or something?"
"Oh heavens no, we are just three friends who just happen to have the same name."
"Oh." Norman looked at them for a bit before speaking again. "You must be new here, I haven't seen you guys around here before. Did you just move here?"
"As if! Were here because sockhead's parents are on a business trip and dragged us along to this boring town." Eddy retorted.
"Okay." Norman simply replied.
"Do you want to play with us?" Ed asked.
"It's hang Ed?" Eddy corrected.
"No thanks I like to be alone, plus I'm kinda late for school."
"That's ok, hopefully we will cross paths again." Double Dee said.
Norman looked down to the ground, "Yeah sure." Norman quickly heads off to get to school leaving the Eds behind who just stood there watching him leave. "Boy that kid sure is a party." Eddy sarcastically said.
"Now Eddy we are new here, and judging his personality I say it's most likely that he experiences bullying often and isn't the most popular kid in the neighborhood like us." Double Dee stated.
Ed however is waving in Norman's direction, he glanced to the left and catches a glimpse of some bearded man in a green vest following Norman, Ed is about to say something when a small bug flew past him which caught his attention span.
