Heya guys and gals, welcome to my second fanfiction, the quirky gamer!... I have no idea what else to put here...oh well! I hope you guys enjoy this fanfiction just as much as my other fanfiction "The unbreakable shield!" enjoy!
In Musutafu Japan it was but a normal day, for most people, however for one Izuku Midoriya, his whole life was about to get turned upside down as he received a power like no other.
"Yaaaaaawn" Izuku yawned as he stretched out on his All might themed bed.
"Sigh, another day in the life of a quirkless, and another day getting bullied by Bakugo." he said in a downtrodden tone without opening his eyes, you see ladies and gentlemen, in my fanfiction our favourite green-haired cinnamon roll figured out that Bakugo will never like him, so he just gave up on calling him "Kacchan" as it only ever seemed to piss him off more.
Sitting up Izuku opened his eyes, only to see a floating screen right in front of his face.
[HP and MP have been fully restored]
Blinking twice Izuku rubbed his eyes to make sure he wasn't hallucinating, but the screen was still floating in front of him.
Suddenly, the screen disappeared and a second one took its place.
Greetings Izuku Midoriya, you have been chosen to wield the almighty gamer ability.
Naturally, Izuku was confused as to what this meant, gamer ability? he was chosen? what did this all mean? but then the text in the second screen got replaced.
I'm sure you have many questions, but to start off say or think "Status screen".
Of course, Izuku was nervous about this whole thing, but his curiosity was getting the better of him, so he thought 'Status screen' which caused the screen to close and two new ones to open up, on the one on the right was an image of him wearing his All might pajama's, while the one on the left held statistics, which goes as follows.

Izuku blanched at his stats, 7200 MP!? Quirks!? what did all of this mean!
I shall explain all the different statistics.
First are Titles, as the name says they are different titles which you can equip, some have effects while others do not.
Next is LV which is simply your level.
Race is what species you are, through certain means you can gain access to different races which have their own benefits and downfalls.
HP stands for "health points" if it hits 0 you die.
MP stands for "mana points" it allows you to use magic, if it hits 0 you wont be able to use anymore.
STR(strength) determines how strong you are and how much physical force you can exude.
DEX(dexterity) determines you're reaction time, reflexes, basically your speed in general.
END(endurance) determines how healthy you are and how much HP you have and regenerate.
INT(intelligence) determines how smart you are and how much MP you have.
WIS(wisdom) determines how good you are at making good decisions and your MP regeneration.
CHA(charisma) determines how good you look and how well you can convince someone.
LUK(luck) determines how lucky you are and the loot and drops you get.
Stat points can be used to increase your different stats, you get 5 every level.
Quirk points can be used to purchase quirks at the quirk shop, you get 5 every level.
Quirk(s) is simply what quirks you have, you can buy them either with yen or quirk points.
After reading through all that Izuku was stunned at the sheer power this ability held, and apparently he was the one chosen to wield it! he felt really honoured to be chosen by whoever gave him this ability.
But anyways, Izuku was now thinking of all the possibilities he had, he could literally buy quirks, not just one but multiple! he could become the greatest hero ever! wait, is there any set goal for him to complete?
You will receive quests but they will mostly be related to what you want to do, speaking of which.
Quest received!
Quest: Number 1!
Objective: become the number 1 hero
Rewards: Number 1 hero title, 1000 Quirk points, 1000 Stat points, ?, ?, ?
Izuku's jaw pretty much hit the floor as he looked at the rewards for completing the quest, yes he could get that amount of points but he'd need to get to LV 200 to do so!
'Wow, I could really become strong using this ability, but I don't know how I can level up since normally in games you get EXP by killing monsters but there aren't any monsters in real life and I am not killing another human being to find out if I get EXP for that!' Izuku thought as he got up and walked back and forth around his room thinking about how he could possibly gain EXP, only to be stopped by another notification.
Quest received!
Quest: learning the ropes
Objective: complete the tutorial
Task 1: learn about the status screen(complete)
Task 2: learn about the inventory
Task 3: learn about the skill system
Task 4: learn about the quirk store
Task 5: learn about the relationship tracker
Task 6: learn about the perk system

'Well, that's helpful, thanks!' Izuku thought as he smiled at the new quest before he waved his hand dismissing the screen.
'Welp, lets get to it then, inventory!' he thought as a new screen opened in front of him.
A few minutes later...
Quest: learning the ropes complete!
Rewards: 100 EXP, 500 yen, skill: ID create, 1 common gacha token.
Level up!
Izuku smiled with pride at his accomplishment, even if it was the tutorial quest.
Now I'm going to simplify and summarise everything the green-haired cinnamon roll just learned about so you guys aren't out of the loop.
His inventory is basically a sub-dimensional infinite hammer space that he has access to, or in laymen terms its like an in-game inventory but with infinite spaces to store things.
The skill system gives Izuku different abilities, like quirks but there much more mundane, like if he were to learn a martial art it would become a skill which he could then level up by using it, to an outside person this would look something like Izuku being a natural prodigy in anything he tries as long as he continues to do it, he also had three starting skills, [Gamer's mind] [Gamer's body] and [Observe], but more on those later.
The quirk store is as its name says, a store for quirks, Izuku could either use yen or his quirk points to buy the wanted quirk, and it had an excellent categorisation system with several options such as, the price of the quirk for both yen and quirk points, the type of quirk, he could even look for quirks by name with a search bar!
The relationship tracker tells Izuku how much affection/reputation he has with someone or a place, like he expected with this one most people he knew didn't like him very much, except for Inko Midoriya, his Ka-san(mom for those who don't speak japanese) who had 100 affection towards him, kinda makes sense for her to love him unconditionally, and turns out he gets bonuses when his Aff/Rep with someone is hits 50 and 100, for Inko the 50 affection gave him a minor perk which made other mothers like him more and more caring towards him, for the 100 affection though, he got his first quirk in the form of Inko's own quirk, Attraction of small objects, but the game mentioned if Izuku levelled it up enough it would grow much stronger then Inko could have ever gotten with her own quirk.
Perks essentially gave him passive bonuses, he didn't have any right now but he could get some later through quests and other methods.
The gacha system is complicated to understand at first but much more simple when broken down into a more simplified version, there are five tiers to the gacha tokens [common] [uncommon] [rare] [epic] and [legendary] with common being the lowest and legendary being the highest, the rarity of the gacha token determines what loot Izuku can get, a common gacha token can get him pretty much anything in the multiverse, while a legendary token will always give Izuku a legendary item.
After getting up and stretching(Izuku sat back down on his bed to read through everything) he looked at one of his pens lying on the desk, deciding it wouldn't hurt to try out his new quirk he reached out and made a pulling motion with his hand, and watched in amazement and excitement as the pen slowly floated towards him, once it was close enough he grabbed it, this was going to be awesome.
