I do not own Big Hero 6.
Enjoy!
If Guest Hiro thought the day was weird before, it was nothing compared to when Tadashi came into the cafe with his friends.
Friends who's personality seemed to have gone through a grinder.
Guest Hiro couldn't help but stare when a groomed Fred started debating with Wasabi on the greatest quote of all time.
It was actually really interesting to see that an environment can impact a person so much.
"Hiro, go and ask them what they want," said Aunt Cass.
"Sure," he said, before walking to them and saying. "Welcome to Lucky Cat Cafe. One of the few places on Earth where human beings take your order. Have you decided on your order?"
All of them stared at him, but they made no comment even though Tadashi has told them about the other Hiro living with them.
They didn't want him to feel uncomfortable so they began ordering like they weren't incredible curious.
However, their order type was the same as the one back in Guest Hiro's universe.
Indeed the two worlds were connected.
Guest Hiro got their orders and both he and the aunt prepared their food and delivered it to them.
The boy stood back and watched that loud and lively table, descend into quiet and polite eating like everybody else.
When it was time to pay, everybody got out their wallets and paid for what they ordered, leaving their own tips behind before walking out.
The instant they were out the door, the group became rowdy and fun again like they were waiting for the time where they wouldn't annoy somebody.
But something had come out of it.
"What? You want me to come to your school?" Said Guest Hiro.
"Well, you can't visit the real labs but you can visit the visitor labs," said Tadashi. "My friends really want to meet you and learn about the other side."
"I would love to see the school," said Guest Hiro. "I wonder how different it is from my own."
Hiro groaned and said. "If it wasn't illegal, I would ask you to swamp lives with me for a day. You're clearly more pumped about school then I am"
"Why is it illegal if we swap places?" Said Guest Hiro. "We sound the same and look the same. With your clothes, nobody can tell us apart"
"Well, I can tell you two, apart, " said Tadashi reading a magazine. "My brother is a knucklehead while the other is a fluff bunny"
"Hey!" Both of them said.
"I'm getting ready for bed," said Hiro getting up and walking to the shower.
"It wouldn't work anyway" explained Tadashi. "My Hiro is hardwired into the mainframe, it's a requirement for school, his identity is linked to his imprint so you can't use it. Plus, swapping would mean, you intend to deceive the mainframe. Why would you want to deceive something that takes care of you and knows what's good for you?"
And for once Guest Hiro didn't know what to say.
Knows what's good for you?
"Knows what's good for you?" Said Guest Hiro. "So you guys just listen to a computer?" Before he said. "But how do you know your living life to the fullest if you don't make any mistakes or experience something out of your comfort zone? What if there is something you like that the computer said you don't? You'll give it up just because a piece of programming said so?"
And Tadashi said without hesitation. "Yes, I would. There is no reason to fight the system."
Guest Hiro looked startled, it felt like Tadashi just said back to him something the guy had heard a million times before.
"I'm going to bed, Hiro," said Tadashi. "See you tomorrow" he got up as Hiro walked in.
Hiro stretched and got in.
Tadashi joined soon after, leaving Guest Hiro thinking alone in the dark.
He had to watch these people more closely, there was definitely something uncomfortable about this perfect world.
And the following day, they took the tram to school instead of the motorbike, something Guest Hiro was secretly thankful for.
Both of them told him to get off and he expected to see a carbon copy of his school, but he was wrong.
The college, he saw was straight out of a comic book movie, everybody was using tech that his world hadn't managed to make work yet, there were hologram animations instead of signs.
Some students were using Microbots to get around, a sight that Guest Hiro couldn't believe.
"And this is where we split since I have class," said Hiro, before he said without energy. "Yeah, me"
Hiro then proceeds to summon Microbots and get lifted to class.
"How are they using it without a helmet?" Said Guest Hiro.
"The Microbots are synched with the implants too," said Tadashi. "If you don't have an implant, you can hardly use anything"
They want to the robotics building and Hiro felt something, a band appeared on his arm with the word 'Guest' on it.
How in the world is the school doing this?
"Good morning, Tadashi," said a voice that made Guest Hiro freeze.
No way.
But it was.
Robert Callaghan stood before him in all his glory but the man wasn't dressed in that orange jumpsuit of a prisoner and behind bars.
"Good morning, Professor," said Tadashi, wondering if it was his imagination that other Hiro was closer.
"Great work yesterday." Said Robert Callaghan. "The new students really felt energised"
"Well, I was just winging it," he said. "How could I let my mentor down?"
The man noticed Hiro and said "Tadashi, who is this?"
The man could tell this was the Hiro, he met.
"Oh, he's a relative from out of town," said Tadashi, before he said quieter. "He's like really weird and socially awkward"
And if looks could kill.
"Well, welcome to San Fransokyo College," said Robert Callaghan. "I have a class to teach"
The man left and Tadashi continued walking.
"Tadashi, does Callaghan have a daughter?" Said Guest Hiro making him surprised.
"Callaghan? Shouldn't it be professor?" Said Tadashi. "And yes, he has a daughter. She works at Krei Tech. She sometimes comes over"
And Guest Hiro was stunned.
First Tadashi was alive, now Callaghan was still a professor and Abigail was not catching up with the years she missed instead she was working at Krei Tech?
"Wait. Then what's Ca-I mean Professor Callaghan, relationship with Alastar Krei?" Said Guest Hiro continued to ask strange questions.
"Relationship?" Said Tadashi. "They're best friends. Krei managed to sell his invention for big bucks and used that to fund Krei Tech, Professor Callaghan helps with a project here and there"
And if he turned around, he would have seen Guest Hiro look at him like he was speaking another language.
No hatred between the two men?
They then entered a room and it was the exact room, Guest Hiro had met Tadashi friends in his own world.
But this was a guest lab, nothing in here didn't exist already but wasn't that well know to the public.
"Hey, Guys," said Tadashi.
They all turned around and saw Guest Hiro.
Curiosity burned in their eyes.
"You have to tell them, it's okay to ask. They don't want you to feel uncomfortable" said Tadashi.
"What? Really?" Said Guest Hiro, wondering about how they could be so sensitive to feelings. "You guys can ask me"
"Oh, thank God," said Go-Go.
"Have you met the other me?" Said Fred. "Have I achieved the perfect superhero costume?"
Everybody turned to stare at him.
However, to their surprise, Guest Hero said. "Actually, he did. It's a lizard that has super jump and breaths fire"
"I know it!" said Fred. "I never got around with making it." He then sighed and said. "The other me is living the dream" before he said. "People find out your smart and suddenly you don't have the time to make a superhero costume. How unfair"
So many of them rolled their eyes.
"So do you know all of us, in the other world?" Said Wasabi.
"My Tadashi actually introduced me to all of you," said Guest Hiro.
"That's weird," said Go-Go. "We met this world's, Hiro, while Tadashi was trying to shake him off his legs. Apparently, his brother didn't like the fact he had to attend class and didn't get his own lab"
"Oh, yeah." Said Wasabi. "That little guy was hilarious"
"Please, don't remind me," said Tadashi, facepalming.
Guest Hiro looked surprised by his counterparts no shame.
"So is there anything new you haven't seen before, Hiro?" Said Honey Lemon.
"Well, I have seen this room," said Guest Hiro. "Everything is pretty much new to me." Before he said. "Hey, why are you guys so ahead of my time in terms of everything?"
The question surprised them all.
"Well, I guess, we work really well together," said Fred. "We listen to each other. "
"All our Leaders understand that they have a responsibility to the people," said Wasabi.
"That too," said Go-Go.
"So you guys don't get into conflict?" Said Guest Hiro.
"We have a civilised argument, then come to a compromise," said Honey Lemon.
Guest Hiro looked at them like they were growing another head.
"Are you guys robots? I refuse to believe you guys are that perfect" said, Guest Hiro, before he said. "Let me try something. Nobody leaves this room."
And everybody looked puzzled as Hiro found a glass and a pen.
He then began to bang the pen against the glass making that ping sound constantly.
"What's he doing?" Said Go-Go.
Tadashi didn't know.
Guest Hiro continued to produce the sound, even two minutes later.
"...that's kind of annoying," said Wasabi.
Guest Hiro continued to produce that one continuous sound.
He could see their discomfort as time went on but he ignored it and continued to tap.
5 minutes later, everybody looked uncomfortable even Tadashi.
"Hiro, can you stop?" Said Tadashi.
However, Guest Hiro ignored him and continued to produce the sound.
He could see it on Tadashi face, that he was not used to being ignored.
"My ears," said Fred.
But despite the discomfort, everybody was respecting Guest Hiro wishes and stayed in the room.
"Hiro, can you stop?" Tadashi asked again.
"Why?" Said Guest Hiro.
"Because it's making me and my friends uncomfortable," said Tadashi.
However, guest Hiro ignored him.
Tadashi his hand clenched and unclenched from irritation.
"Hiro, can you stop?" he said again.
This time, Guest Hiro said. "Make me. You're not the boss of me. I can bang how many times I want because I have the glass and your too chicken to come over here"
And you could see the anger in Tadashi eyes, as that noise continued to assault his ears.
The urge to destroy the glass rose.
And then Guest Hiro added to the torture by singing. "Lalalalala" continuously and off-key.
Tadashi was clenching and unclenching his hands now.
Everybody looked ready to beat the snot out of Guest Hiro.
And then something happened.
They all remembered that acting out on their anger in an unhealthy way would tint them and tint their marks.
They wouldn't be perfect anymore and that meant they would be on the road to execution.
If he won't stop, they would kill him with support.
Everybody seemed to be thinking the same thing.
"You know, if you close your eyes and imagine some beats, it not half bad," said Wasabi.
That seemed to cut the tension in the room.
"Oh, yeah. The noise does fit with any beat" said Go-Go.
"Woooohh! Go, Hiro!" Said Fred.
"We shouldn't be dismissing this, Hiro deserves our full support. Maybe this a part of his culture on the other side" said Honey Lemon.
Guest Hiro stopped.
Thank the Master.
"Hiro, why did you stop? It was good" said Tadashi. "You really exposed us to another culture"
"I wasn't trying to expose you to culture. I was trying to make you see that even you guys will resort to force when angry enough" said Guest Hiro.
"So basically a psychological experiment?" Said Tadashi. "I could have told you that, that wouldn't work before you started. If we get angry, we punch a pillow. We handle it in a healthy way. "
The door opened and in came a hovering tray with fruit.
"The fruits here," said Honey Lemon.
They all grabbed one.
"Hiro, do you want anything?" Said Tadashi.
"Unbelievable," said Guest Hiro.
Don't they all come from the same place?
Why are they so different?
Everything was too perfect.
And scene!
