Kira walked stiffly next to Sasuke towards the next hideout. Kabuto and Orochimaru took the lead leaving the two to trail behind. "You look different." he muttered, grasping his hand around hers. Said girl jumped at the sudden contact.

She didn't know what to say having the first real conversation since he left, it was strange. "Yeah losing limbs and cutting off all your hair does that to ya." She spoke awkwardly, not liking at all him holding her hand. She'd rather be cuffed or something not hold the hand of the guy she sort of have something with in the past...this was just a big complicated mess wasn't it.

She felt his eyes on her as she looked straight ahead, her body ached with pain but she kept pushing forward. There was no way in hell she was going to appear weak in front of them. She just had to make it till camp. As soon as they stopped for a rest then she'd be able to sleep hopefully.

'That was very foolish of you.' Kaida's words echoed through her skull. 'Giving yourself up like that. Who knows what they will do to you. You trust Orochimaru's word?' Kira cringed looking at her hands upset.

'It's too late now. I joined Sasuke and I have nothing to justify why.' There was a deep rumble through her chest but Kaida didn't speak. Kira knew though what she meant. 'You better know what you're doing' Did she know what she was doing? Probably not. This was a suicide mission after all.

It was dark when Orochimaru had decided it was best to rest. The four were in a small town not much going on just how he wanted it. Paying for two rooms Orochimaru and Kabuto went into the one leaving the other for Sasuke and Kira. He gave Sasuke a smirk "I hope you won't lose track of our prisoner Sasuke-kun."

Kira felt her arm being yanked forward towards the room. Inside the room was plainr, there were two mats that would be our beds for the night, a sitting area, a window, and a bathroom. Strange since not all the rooms had bathrooms connected.

Surveying the room Kira noted that there were three exits including the front door. The window off to the side of the room as well as a window in the bathroom, small but she's jumped through worse. The hand in her own pulled her closer to the mats before letting her go.

Her muscles ached and all she wanted to do was collapse onto the floor and get a good night's sleep. She just couldn't bring herself to do that though. She didn't trust the situation. Why would Orochimaru allow two rooms? She could easily escape if she wanted to but would it be a trap? Would Orochimaru kill her on the spot if she even tried to open the window? Would Sasuke kill her?

Judging by the way he was looking at her it seemed he had other ideas in mind. Looking away from her old friend Kira moved to get one of the beds ready moving it to the side by the wall. She heard his soft chuckle before hearing his footsteps fall behind her.

Her hands smoothed out the mat. The blanket attached should be enough to keep her warm through the night. After all it was early summer and she ran warm, warmer than usual girls. "Mind moving over some." It wasn't a question.

Struggling to stand, Kira was able to get out of Sasuke's way as he set up his bedding for the night. Directly next to hers. She hoped it was because he didn't trust her and not other reasons but she knew he still cared for her. But to what extent? Would he think that her joining him meant they were going to live a happy life? Get married and have kids?

Shuffling towards the bathroom Kira made her way to the mirror wanting to see how bad the damage was. The bright light made a hiss escape her lips. The sight alone was terrible. She looked pale, with long red cuts wrapping around her skin. Dried red blood staining her skin, her clothes. Her jacket was ripped and it definitely needed to be mended.

Grabbing a washcloth Kira started the process of cleaning herself off as best as she could. Until she was trusted to bathe alone she would just have to tough it out. "Do you have extra clothes?" she nodded to Sasuke's question. "Yes...it's in my bag." Sasuke nodded, moving towards her bag and rifling through.

Normally she would hate it when someone going through her stuff. Friend or not but she really wasn't in any position to be telling Sasuke off also she chose to come with him. Moments later Sasuke walked over to her staring at Kira's face through the mirror holding a pair of her spare clothes. She gave a small smile in thanks. Moving closer to her Sasuke reached out grasping the cloth from her hand and moved so that he was the one cleaning her off.

"Its okay, I got it…" she muttered, not quite letting go of the fabric. Sasuke gave her a look that demanded her to listen to him. "Just let me." he yanked the fabric out of her hand; a blush started to form across her face as Sasuke grasped her chin and scrubbed some of the dried blood away from her cheek.

He was too close for her comfort. 'Just get over it Kira. You've done more with Gaara...Oh god what's he doing?!' Sasuke started to lean forward causing Kira to lean back a nervous laugh on her lips. "I uh...I think I'm good...I'll just um, I'll just change." she avoided looking at him as she tried to escape his clutches grasping her clothes to her chest.

"Whatever." her heart was pounding in her chest, what did he think he was doing? Shaking her head Kira let out a shaky sigh closing the door softly to let her head rest against the wood. What had she gotten herself into?

Sasuke grumbled at her behavior, he was trying to be nice. Sasuke was never nice to anyone. Though he had to admit to himself that it was nice to be able to touch her again. He also really enjoyed the way her face flushed when he was touching her. It was almost like old times.

Watching the door creep open she emerged keeping her head down her dirty clothes draped over her left arm, the long sleeves of her black shirt hid her skin from his view. He really hated the clothing right now. "Thanks for the uh...thanks for grabbing my clothes." Sasuke had to admit he almost liked this new Kira, the shy timid girl he needed to protect but he's just waiting for her to go back to her old self.

Shrugging his shoulders he watched her lie in her bedding for the night. He couldn't believe it, he was finally able to sleep with her again. He could hold her in his arms again, feel the warmth radiating off her skin, enjoy her scent. He still couldn't believe she was alive. Was this just all some sort of dream? It felt so real.

Climbing in behind her he felt her back pressed against his arm. Glancing over he noticed long sharp scars decorating her skin. Rolling onto his side he reached over tracing one of the scars feeling her shudder under his touch. A smirk quickly grew again. He still had this effect on her.

"How'd you get this one?"

Kira frowned, staring at the wall focusing on the lines in the wall. "One of my missions when I started doing solo…" She felt his hand resting on her shoulder, his thumb gliding over the skin. Sasuke frowned leaning forward and placing a soft kiss on the scar. Her back went rigid as she curled further into a ball "W-what was that for? Why did you…" her words fumbled together as she stared wide eyed at nothing in particular. He just kissed her! Why did he just kiss her neck?!

Sasuke chuckled to himself rolling onto his back a smile on his lips for the first time in years "No reason at all...get some sleep."

Kira could hear Kaida telling her I told you so in her skull over and over again making her cringe. She really hoped she made the right decision.

So first chapter of Sasuke's Fixation sorry it was sort of short it'll get longer in later chapters...Not sure how to go from there I struggled to write this first chapter for a couple weeks after I finished Ninja's Life. I had a lot of stress like work or my mom having to have a open heart transplant but shes okay now. She's supposed to be coming home soon. But I hope you like this story!
