Previously on Final Space, Gary and Quinn go on their first date while the Earth is being sucked into the breach. Holy crap! Gary finds the Anti-Matter bomb, but to detonate it, they're going to have to get past the Lord Commander's fleet of Incinerators. Can they save the world? Get ready for the epic season finale of Final Space!

From his mothership, the Lord Commander watched as his fleet began to close in on the Galaxy 1. "Did these fools really think that I would allow them to close the breach?" he growled. "I was chosen by Titans!"

"So," Fly said. "Anyone got any last words?"

Gary stood up. "We might not make it out of this. I wanted to say...I don't know what we are. A crew? Feels like we're more than that. I mean, feels like friends maybe? But to me we've become a close, but very strange family. And without you, I wouldn't be me."

KVN suddenly hugged Gary's shoulders. "Us! Us! Us! Us!"

"Would you shut the hell up, KVN?!"

"I would never leave you, Gary! I would be your deep space insanity avoidance forever companion!"

"I swear to God, KVN," shouted Fly. "You're killing the mood!"

"Anyways," Gary resumed, trying to keep himself from killing KVN. "No matter what happens, no matter where we go, we'll find each other when this is over. Deal?"

Everyone nodded. Mooncake hugged Gary's face and let out a squeak.

Fly looked out the window. "Easier said than done, though." She pointed at the fleet. "We're still outmatched a million to one. Literally."

"She's right," said Quinn. "There's too many of them, Gary. We'll never be able to break through."

"HUE, can you find a way?" asked Gary.

"We can create a level four particle burn."

"Great! While I bust out my chemistry set, how ABOUT EXPLAINING WHAT THE HELL THAT MEANS?!"

"It means we can eject our lightfold core and detonate it."

Fly was flabbergasted. "That's your great idea? Blow up our only means of escaping in case it all goes downhill?!" HUE responded by ejecting the engine and firing it at the fleet. "What did I say?!" she screeched.

"Fly, it's already gone downhill." Everyone braced themselves as HUE counted down, "Detonation in three...two...one...boomtown."

There was a bright blinding light and the next thing they knew, the entire fleet was completely wiped out. "HUE, full speed ahead," said Gary. "We've got a freaking hole to close."

The Galaxy 1 flew through the remains of the ship, ignoring and dodging the tiny explosions that were still going on.

"Is this fun?" asked Tribore. "It is! It is fun!

Back on the mothership, the only part of the fleet that hadn't been destroyed, the Lord Commander shouted, "Release the HIVEs! CRUSH THEM!" He vomited black bile as he finished his command.

A swarm of black drones flew towards the Galaxy 1. They slammed onto the ship's laser shields like bugs on a window.

"What the hell are those things?!" screamed Fly.

"The Lord Commander's HIVE ships, Fly. If they eat through the shields..."

"We're dead."

"How long until the shields hold?" asked Gary.

"Shields integrity is at seventy-nine percent and dropping."

"That's like a B minus!"

"Now at sixty-three percent."

"Ah, crap! That's like a D at best!"

"We're boned," said Fly.

"KVN, if you don't get on the outside turret, I will beat you within one inch of your life," HUE warned the robot.

"Guys! I'm the most expendable," cheered KVN. "Congratulations to me."

Mooncake was about to go after him when Gary asked, "Mooncake, what are you doing?"

"Chookity. Pock," Mooncake said with bravery.

"You're going to help him?" asked Fly.

Mooncake nodded. Gary sighed and held him. "Alright. But you're not expendable."

Mooncake hugged his friend before following KVN.

The ship suddenly began to rock. "Gary, the HIVEs have breached the shields," said Gary. "KVN and Mooncake won't be able to hold them off for long." As he said that, KVN and Mooncake began blasting at the HIVEs with their lasers.

Back in the bridge, the SAMEs were running around, screaming in a panic.

"This isn't a battle," said Quinn. "It's a death sentence!"

Gary got an idea. "Can a HAWK punch through the HIVEs?"

"Provided there is sufficient force, yes." said HUE.

"Then we load the Anti-Matter bomb onto a HAWK and use that."

"Are you forgetting something?" asked Fly. "Those HIVEs out there are going to tear the HAWK apart before it even leaves the ship!"

"Not if we send somebody out first to clear the way."

Little Cato knew right then and there he was the man for the job. "I'll do it."

"No!" Fly said immediately. "You're not risking your life again!"

"She's right," said Quinn. "This is no job for a kid."

"I don't see a kid anymore." Gary put a hand on Little Cato's shoulder. "I see a man-cat."

"Quinn, Fly, I can do this," Little Cato assured them.

"We're with you, Little Cato!" cheered one of the SAMEs.

"Hopefully he won't die like his father!" Everyone stared at the SAME who said that. "Oh, that was insensitive. Sorry -" BOOM! Fly shot that SAME in the head, her face remaining neutral.

Quinn sighed. There was no way to talk the boy out of this, was there. She said, "Make us proud."

"What?!" cried out Fly. "Quinn!"

"I can do this, Fly!"

"No, you're not, Little Cato! I don't want to lose you too!"

Little Cato ran up to her and gave her a hug. "I can do this. Believe in me."

Fly's eyes began to leak a little. She returned the hug. "Please, come back safe."

With that settled, Gary said, "HUE, get him a HAWK." He said to Little Cato, "Be careful out there, man-cat."

"Don't worry," Little Cato said as he followed the SAMEs out the bridge. "I so got this."

Gary, Fly and Tribore went to the vault where the Anti-Matter bomb was waiting. Gary put his hand on it. For a brief moment, he thought his father was by his side. But then he shook his head back to reality. "To think that's the only thing stopping the earth from getting swallowed up. And it's all on me."

"I thought it would look much cooler," criticized Tribore. "Should I draw some flames on it? I brought various tubes of this." He held up multiple lipstick containers.

"No!" shouted Gary. "How about you don't draw flames on the Anti-Matter bomb!"

"Is it too late?" Tribore asked with a grin. "It is!"

Gary snatched the bomb out of his hands. He looked down at it and he remembered his last conversation with his father. "What if I can't do it?"

"Try your best."

"What if my best isn't good enough?"

"It's good enough for me."

"Gary?" Gary turned to see Fly looking at him with concern. "Is everything okay?"

Gary smiled. "I'm okay."

"Have I made things better?" whispered Tribore. "Of course I did!"

"It's go time," said Gary.

They were just about to leave the room when Quinn appeared and asked, "What are you doing?"

"Finishing the job."

"Except I'm the one taking it to the breach. It's my mission."

Gary made a smirk as he walked by her. "Too bad. It's my destiny."

Quinn chased after him into the hanger bay. "Why are you fighting me?"

"Because I can take anything except losing you!" Gary screamed. "Oh God, Quinn! Why are we in this situation?!"

Quinn put a hand on his shoulder. "If you really had feelings for me...you'd let me see this through to the end."

"I am genuinely perplexed here!" The whole ship began to shake. The HIVEs were about to break through any second now. Gary looked into his beloved's eyes and said, "I'm trying to stop you from dying."

"Please," she implored him.

Gary said after a moment's silence, "Then Quinn Ergon, I will use every last breath to ensure you succeed." He handed her the Anti-Matter bomb. "That's a real, raw promise." She took the bomb from him...and planted a kiss full on the lips. "Ah, hell yeah," he giggled stupidly. "We'll work on that when you come back."

With a smile, Quinn entered the HAWK.

"Funny," Gary said. "I thought I was gonna be the hero, but it's you."

"No. It's been both of us. It always has been."

"Punch a hole for me boys!" Quinn took off with Little Cato and the SAMEs right behind her.

"Alright guys, all together now!" Little Cato and the SAMEs blasted a hole in the wall of HIVEs, allowing them all to escape.

"Thanks for the help, Little Cato!"

"Appreciate it!"

Back in the hanger, Fly and Tribore watched as their friends zoomed out and away. "If only there was some real help to call," said Tribore dramatically. "If only there was a resistance. Wait! There is a resistance! And I am its leader!"

Fly gave him a weird look. "Are you talking to me?"

Tribore ignored her and activated his communicator. "Attention, Resistance! Is it time to resist? It is! This is General Tribore Menendez! All battalions to Sector 11!" He began making an alarm sound, which only made Fly give him another weird look. "I'm, uh...going to hep Gary. You just keep doing that."

The ship began to rock again.

"The HIVEs have infiltrated the Galaxy One," said HUE as Gary returned to the bridge.

"HEY!" Gary grabbed a gun and began blasting at the drones. "GET THE HELL OF MY SHIP!"

"Save some for me!" Fly shouted as she grabbed a fire axe and began to hack the HIVEs.

Meanwhile, Little Cato was having problems of his own. The HIVEs began blasting at him, destroying the SAMEs in the progress.

"Is this what death feels like?" one of them asked. "Not bad. Just weird, really."

"I'm closing in," shouted Quinn as she made her way for the breach.

Suddenly, a whole fleet of HAWKs appeared and began shooting down at the HIVEs. "Am I alone here?" Little Cato asked hopefully.

In his own HAWK, Tribore laughed as he said, "No! Tribore's here and I've brought some special friends!"

Quinn nodded as the Resistance began to decimate what was left of the Lord Commander's forces. "Thanks, Tribore! I'm closing in on the breach!"

Tribore's moment of victory was short lived; one of the Lord Commander's mothership's cannons took careful aim and fired at him, sending him flying off course. "Is this bad? It sure as hell is!"

In her HAWK, Shannon gasped. She shut her eyes and whispered, "Oh, Tribore...I loved you. Who's leading the resistance?"

Little Cato was enraged when he saw his new friend get blasted out of space. "I am," he responded. "First order of business? REVENGE!" He put on his father's helmet and made a crash collision course with the mothership. "Eject!" He was flung out of the HAWK and smashed his way through one of the ship's windows, gun at the ready.

Meanwhile, KVN was having the time of his life blasting as many HIVEs he could find. "Gotcha! Gotcha too! And you! Gotcha, gotcha! I am feeling good!" He felt a presence behind him. He turned around and the last thing he saw was a HIVE firing its laser at him point blank.

"Gary? Fly?"

"Not now, KVN!" screamed Fly as she hacked another HIVE to pieces. Then she saw it. "Gary?"

Gary saw it too. Floating by the window was the remains of KVN. "We had fun, right? Yes, no? Maybe?" The robot's eyes went dark and he fell silent.

Gary and Fly's eyes filled with tears. But not from sadness. From joy. "At last," Fly said. "I can die happy."

"So beautiful," said Gary.

Meanwhile, the Lord Commander was done playing. "Call back the HIVEs and ready the Dimension Splitter."

The mothership sucked up the HIVEs, much to Mooncake's confusion. His confusion turned to shock when he saw KVN's corpse. "CHOOKITY!" Before he could get to him, a tall funnel rose from the mothership and sucked Mooncake in like a vacuum.

When Gary and Fly saw this, their reaction was immediate. "MOONCAKE! NOOOO!"

The funnel drew Mooncake into what appeared to be the inners of a giant weapon and he knew what was going to happen to him: he was the power source for whatever it was. He tried to blast his way out, but he immediately felt his power drain.

"The more you struggle," a familiar voice said. "The stronger the trap becomes." Mooncake turned to the right to see the Lord Commander and one of his soldiers outside the weapon. "Hey, Mooncake. We're going to have a lot of fun."

"Approaching breach," Quinn said as her HAWK began to rock violently. "We can't afford to lose everything." Suddenly, her control panel began to spark and alarms blared, "MALFUNCTION!"

Quinn grabbed the bomb, strapped on her helmet and pressed the eject button, hurling herself into the breach. And she knew that she was not going to make it back this time.

"Gary, Gary!" Fly helped the young man up. "Wake up!"

Gary groaned and looked down. A piece of shrapnel ended up in his stomach. Quickly, he pulled it out and let out a scream. Fly quickly used a laser to heal the wound.

"Status report?" he groaned.

"Gary, we have lost the Galaxy 1," said HUE.

"We still have a left pulse engine."

"It is the right pulse engine. And it is not enough to face the Lord Commander." Gary and Fly looked down, frowning. "Gary, Fly, there is one option you haven't considered. You can abandon ship."

"I'm not running away," said Fly. "That's what I've done all my life. Running away from all my problems and responsibilities. Not this time."

"Yeah, you're right," said Gary. "At one point, that made sense, but I'm not that guy anymore."

"I'd give you a cookie," said HUE. "But I think you've outgrown them."

Gary was outraged when he heard that. "WHAT?! NO! GIMME A COOKIE! I WILL NEVER, EVER, EVER OUTGROW A COOKIE!"

Fly sighed. "And there it is."

"I am sorry, Gary, but they're gone. All gone."

"That sucks, HUE!"

"It really does, Gary."

Gary and Fly glared at the breach. "We can't let that prick win," growled Fly.

"Agreed."

"Gary, Fly, I know that look," said Hue. "Reconsider. Please."

"No way, Jose," said Gary. "I won't reconsider." He pushed a button and made his way to the ship's controls.

"Gary, you have set a collision course directly for the Lord Commander's heavy incinerator."

"It's the only way to stop him from taking out Quinn and I have to save Mooncake. Do I really have to make A LIST FOR YOU RIGHT NOW?!" Gary shouted at the AI. "If we're going out, we're going out big!"

"I agree, we must do everything we can to destroy that dick load."

He and Fly strapped their safety belts on. "How about we make an entrance?" asked Fly. "Engage pulse engine, HUE!"

The ship jetted forward at break neck speed.

When the Lord Commander saw this, he raised an eyebrow. "What is he trying to do?" He coughed up more black bile and wheezed. "He's already lost everything..." When he saw that the Galaxy 1 wasn't stopping, he shouted, "FIRE! Rip his ship from space!"

The Galaxy 1 began to receive heavy damage from the ship's huge cannons, but it still kept its path.

Before the Lord Commander could make another order, the soldier accompanying him suddenly found himself without a head. The Lord Commander slowly turned around to see Little Cato, covered in blood. "I wish killing you could last a life time," he snarled.

"Why are you after me? I'm not the one who killed Avocato," hissed the midget tyrant.

"Cetus may have been the one to take my father's life, but she did it under YOUR command!" He pointed his gun at the Lord Commander's head. "Ready for your turn?"

"Get on with it!"

Before either one of them could make a move, the Galaxy 1 came crashing through the window. Little Cato was sent flying out the hole. He did not move as he floated in the vacuum of space.

Gary and Fly groaned as they regained consciousness. "Ow..." the latter groaned. "Gary...? How are you?" Gary gave her a thumbs up. "Oh. Good."

"Gary...the Galaxy 1...is destroyed..."

"HUE, quick!" exclaimed Gary. "Transfer your AI into either mine or Fly's helmet!" Silence. "Oh, no, no, no! HUE, HUE!"

"Yes, Gary. I am here."

Gary and Fly were relieved. "Don't you ever leave us, HUE."

"Wouldn't dream of it, Fly."

SUddenly, they heard a scream, "Chookity!"

The Lord Commander adjusted the controls. "Final Space Dimension Splitter has been armed," the computer said. "Fifteen seconds until activation."

The Lord Commander suddenly fell to his knees, coughing more black bile. He heard footsteps and looked up to see a very angry Gary and Fly pointing their weapons at him. "Here they are. The criminal Elizabeth Diptera and the infamous hero...The Gary."

"It's. Just. GARY!"

"MY NAME IS FLY!"

"Yes. The Gary."

Fly let out a roar and grabbed the Lord Commander by the throat. "You let our squishy go right now, or I'll execute you where you stand!" She pressed the gun to his temple. She suddenly fell to the ground on all knees. "Damn it. Telekinesis."

"Not happening, Elizabeth," growled the Lord Commander. "You and the Gary are about to witness Mooncake open the door to Final Space!" He took out two wires from the machine and connected them. Mooncake let out a scream as his energy flowed into the evil alien. Gary tried to shoot him, but he just used his powers to knock the gun out of Gary's hand.

"No..." groaned Fly. She wasn't ready to give up. She slowly crawled her way to Mooncake.

"Do you two see now?" the Lord Commander growled. "There is no one left to help you! Avocato, his son, your crew? Everyone you cared about is GONE! All because of that!" He pointed to Mooncake."And now, your lives will end! But nothing quick. I want you both to experience the same pain you put me through, the Gary! A slow, painful death!"

"You don't get it, do you?" Gary struggled to say as the Lord Commander used his powers to very slowly crush him. "The good guys always win in the end! Always do."

"No...not this time, the Gary."

Meanwhile, Fly managed to crawl all the way to Mooncake. "Just keep him talking, Gary," she groaned as she reached for the little green blob. Unfortunately, she got zapped when she tried to remove him from the machine. "Ow!"

"DON'T DO THIS, JACK!"

The Lord Commander's eyes widened. "Why would you call me? SPEAK!"

"You used to like taquitos," Gary groaned. "And hanging out with my dad, man."

The Lord Commander sneered at him. "Ah...you're John Goodman's son. Well, that changes NOTHING!"

"You don't need to do this, Jack!"

"STOP CALLING ME THAT! THAT PERSON DIED THE DAY I WAS CHOSEN!"

Gary let out a chuckle. "Can I be honest in all likelihood I'm pissing you off a little bit? I don't think you were chosen. You getting these powers was just a mistake!"

"A MISTAKE?!" The Lord Commander let out a roar of rage and hate and blasted energy out of his palms at Gary, sending him flying through a wall and out into space. In the process, a piece of debris tore open a hole in his suit.

"GARY!" Fly screamed.

The Lord Commander turned around. "YOU!"

"Aaah!" Fly frantically tried to pull Mooncake out only to be grabbed by the throat in the Lord Commander's telepathic grip. "Gugh...Augh...Can't...breath..."

"YOU WILL NOT DENY ME MY VICTORY! AUGH!" The Lord Commander looked down to see a blade protruding through his stomach. Fly dropped to the ground, coughing and inhaling as much air she could breathe.

"You promised I would be the one to kill her, my Lord Commander," a voice said as whoever stabbed him pulled the blade out. He collapsed to the ground, revealing Cetus behind him.

"You...traitor..." the alien tyrant growled at her.

"No. You can still get what you want." Cetus pointed the blade at Fly. "As long as I get what I want."

"ARE YOU STUPID?!" screamed Fly. "Your hatred is completely meaningless now! Earth is about to be sucked up!"

"The universe can be destroyed for all I care! I just want to kill you!" Cetus charged at Fly, who dodged her attacks.

Meanwhile, the Lord Commander crawled his way to the cannon as Mooncake forcibly fired his laser at the breach. "Now, we will see what's on the other side of Final Space!"

Fly grabbed Cetus' sword between her hands just as the whole place started to rumble. They both looked out and saw, to their horror, a hand larger than any planet coming out of the breach. "No..." gasped Fly. "Quinn..." She suddenly felt a pain in her chest. She looked down to see the sword embedded in her.

"I said, PAY ATTENTION TO ME!"

Fly glared at her. "Congratulations. You killed me. But it doesn't matter. We're all doomed now."

Meanwhile, the Lord Commander let out an ecstatic laughter as the hand grew closer. "THE TIME HAS COME! YES! TAKE ME! I AM READY TO BE A TITAN AND RULE EVERY DIMENSION!" But, to his confusion, the hand moved away from the ship and instead reached for the Earth. "WHAT?! NO! NO! NOOOOOOO!"

Everyone watched as the hand grabbed the Earth like it was a baseball and pulled it into the breach. Fly fell to her knees. "No..." She suddenly let out a loud gurgle as Cetus pulled the sword out.

Gary could only watch in horror as the Earth was pulled in by the hand. "Gary," he heard Quinn's voice say in his helmet's communicator.

"Quinn?"

"I'm sorry."

"For what?"

"For not telling you sooner."

"It's okay. You can tell me when you come back."

Quinn felt tears running down her face. "Gary..."

"No. Don't. Don't say it."

"I'm not coming back."

"Quinn..."

"We lost the Earth but I can still save you." She opened the bomb, activating it. "Goodbye, Gary. I'll miss you."

Gary could only watch as the breach closed with a tremendous explosion. "QUINN!" Silence. "HUE, get her back! Get her back, HUE!"

Fly, still bleeding, started crying. "No. No. No, NO, NO, NO, NO! QUINN!"

"You have got to be kidding me," snarled the Lord Commander. He fell to his knees and coughed up blood.

Cetus didn't say anything. She just looked out the window with a blank expression. Finally, she spoke. "Into the valley of the shadow of death rode the six hundred."

Weakly, Fly tapped on her communicator. "Gary? I could really use your help here. I'm bleeding out pretty bad." She only got static in response. "Gary? You there?" Static. "Quinn? Little Cato? Tribore?" Static. "Avocato?" Static. "KVN?" She looked over to the trapped Mooncake. "Squishy, please, help me."

Cetus walked up to her and sat next to her. "No one's coming. You're all alone with me, mother." She placed the sword next to her. "I'm going to wait here and watch you bleed to death."

Fly let out a smirk. "So, what now? You've wasted your life chasing after one horrible parent while listening to the commands of an evil alien midget. What are you going to do now? The Lord Commander's dead. His enemies are dead. I'm dead. What now?" Cetus didn't respond to that. "Bet you don't even know who your daddy is."

Cetus raised an eyebrow. "Why should I care? The Lord Commander is my real father as far as I'm concerned!"

Fly crawled over to her daughter and put her hands on Cetus' shoulders. She whispered something in her ear, something that made her eyes widen. "No...no...that's impossible!"

Fly let out a chuckle. "Shocking, isn't it?" She collapsed to the ground, panting heavily. "If I had words...to make a day for you...I'd give you a morning, golden and true...I would make this day last for all time..." She never finished her song.

Cetus stared down at her, then sang, "I would make this day last for all time, then fill the night deep in blue moonshine."

Fly looked over at her, surprised. "You know that song?"

"It was the only thing I remembered of you. When I was just a little baby. It made me feel good every time I sang it."

Fly laid down on her back. "At least I left one positive impact on you." She exhaled and closed her eyes.

Cetus stood up and looked over at Mooncake, still stuck in the cannon. He looked weak. "Now, what am I going to do with you?"

He glanced over to her and gave her a weak, "Chookity pock..."

"Cut it to me straight, HUE. What are my chances of getting out of this mess?"

"In your current state, you will pass the point of recovery in 10 minutes...9 minutes...8...7...6...5...4...3...2...1...0. Gary, the cookies are done. I will miss you, my friend."

"Hey, son."

"Holy crap. Am I dreaming?"

"Nope."

"Oh, no. Then, I'm..."

"Yep."

"Oh, crap, that's not good. See, I was hoping for a no."

"I was sent to give you a choice. To come with me or go back."

"What's that way?"

"Lots and I mean LOTS of imported beer. It's actually ridiculous."

"How much are we talking?"

"Too much."

"And back that way?"

"A perilous journey full of death and heartbreak."

"Which way is Little Cato? Which way is Mooncake? Which way is Fly? Which way is Quinn?"

As Gary's motionless body floated in space amongst the debris, a beam of light suddenly shone on him.
