Part 107

It was two weeks later that Joe pulled a Uhal in front of Barry and Caitlin's house. The tuck was loaded with everything from Caitlin and Barry's apartment and the basement storage locker. Most of it he knew was Caitlin's he had no idea where that young woman got so much stuff. Though there were a few boxes he knew belonged to Barry. Caitlin smiled at him as she walked over to him.

"Thanks for helping us today Joe."

"You don't have to thank me. Caitlin, I know you don't have the best experience with your family. But family does things like this for each other. Do you know the main reason I forgave you after you went to the dark side?"

"No. I never thought to ask because I was just grateful that you could forgive me. I was more surprised that when Iris was being a bitch to me you sided with me over your own daughter."

"Iris maybe my daughter by blood. But after you spent nine months of your life taking care of Barry when he was in that coma. Now knowing what I do now. That doing that took you away from your daughter when she needed you more then she does now. That made me fall in love with you. You know in the way that a father loves a daughter. Caitlin you are my daughter in the same way Barry is my son. I love you as if you were my flesh and blood. I forgave you because that is what families do."

"Thank you."

Joe hugged Caitlin then he started to help Barry, Wally and Cisco to start unloading the truck. Barbara was in Gotham helping Batman track down the Riddler who had escaped from Arkham a few days ago. Barry of course was being over protective and not letting her do any lifting. She was watching the men carry boxes and furniture into the house when a neighbor walked over from across the street.

"Hello." Said the woman

"Hi." Said Caitlin

"I'm Karen Drew, I live across the street. I saw you over here last week painting. You have no idea how happy everyone was to see this house get painted. Gloria was a wonderfully sweet woman, but her love of pink was a little much."

"I understand. Caitlin Allen. My husband our daughter and I are moving in." said Caitlin

"How old is your daughter?"

"Six."

"I have a son who is seven. Maybe once you are settle in we can get them together for a play date."

"That would be nice."

Just got to make sure that Beth knows not to say anything about her family's non public known jobs. Said Frost

"Barry come meet one our new neighbors." Said Caitlin seeing her husband heading to get more of their stuff to take into the house.

"Hi Barry Allen." Said Barry wrapping his arms around his wife.

"Karen Drew. I live across the street. It's nice to meet you." Said Karen

"You too. Cait, Joe and Wally need to know where you want our bed and dresser." Said Barry

"It was nice meeting you. I should go." Said Caitlin

"Of course I will see you around." Said Karen

Karen returned to her house and Caitlin headed in and up to the master bedroom suite to tell Joe and Wally where to set up the bed and dresser. It took most of the day to move their furniture in. The dinning room set had been Barry's parents. It had sat in storage since Henry went to prison. But it was Barry's now and when Caitlin saw it in the storage locker that it had been in since the old house was sold, she had fallen in love with it. They had also had boxes of other things brought of photos and other things that had belonged to his parents. Caitlin wanted their kids to learn everything Barry knew about his parents. To know that even though they would never get to actually meet their grandparents that they would have loved them. Once everything was in the house Barry went and got pizza for them. After eating Cisco, Joe and Wally left while Barry and Caitlin began to unpack.

Beth held her grandparents hands as they walked up the driveway to her new house. She smiled when she saw her parents waiting for them on the porch. She let go of her grandparents hands and ran up and hugged them.

"Mommy, daddy can I show grandma and grandpa my room?" asked Beth

"Of course honey." Said Barry

"Thomas, go ahead with Beth. I want to talk to Caitlin for a minute." Said Carla

"I'll go work on unpacking one of those boxes from my parents storage locker." Said Barry

Barry went into the house leaving his wife with her mother.

"What did you want mom?" asked Caitlin

"To tell you that you are doing amazing job raising that little girl. You have been a much better mother then I was ever to you."

"Mom, you weren't as you think. When Frost final gained full control do you know why she never lived up to the name Killer Frost?"

"No."

"It's because even when she was dormant and locked away. She was listening to everything you taught me. She knew it was wrong to kill. When Savitar was about to kill Cisco she turned on him. She stopped him from killing Cisco, because under all that hurt and anger she had, she was still able to do the one thing Savitar couldn't. Love. That is the most important thing you ever taught me. It's the main reason I hurt so much when I feel betrayed or lose someone I love."

"Caitlin, no matter what I did or how I acted I always loved you."

"I know mom. You proved it when you didn't leave my side the night I called you from the hospital after I was raped. You were the mother I needed for years that night."

"Caitlin, you needed me. I want you to know if you had said you needed me I would have been there more. You were just such an independent child."

"I always needed you."

"I am so sorry I wasn't there for you."

"You have been when it was really important."

Caitlin and Carla hugged then went into the house.
