And we are back! Sorry this took longer than normal, I honestly didn't realise that much time had passed since the last update. As promised, this chapter will finish up the wedding and cover the honeymoon for the two of them. There was no real reason I chose their destinations for their honey other then they seem like good places to have one. Afterwards, we'll have ourselves another time-skip but to when, I won't say. You'll just have to read the chapter and find out. Before you go on, I should warn all of you that there is a lemon this chapter, there will be a big, bold warning before and after it so you will know where it is and where it ends if you wish to skip past it.

extremeninja09: Thanks, that's what a wedding should be and though I've only attended two in my life, both were very fun. Their wedding will be wrapped up this chapter but I'll try to squeeze in some more fun.

The wall of life was the dumbest move I could have seen them make but as some who have played devil's advocate have stated, they could have made that choice because of the ever rising cost to design, construct and maintain the jaegers as many of those nations like Panama and Mexico aren't rich, they simply couldn't afford to keep up the war effort. Case in point, Striker cost Australia around 100 billion US dollars to build, to put that into prospective, the Gerald R. Ford-class aircraft carriers, the most modern nuclear powered ships in the world, have a cost of 12.998 US billion….each. Maintaining a wartime economy on the long term is simply impossible as the very system wasn't designed to be long term. It's one of the reason that people think the Galactic empire was doomed to fail, Palpatine kept the empire in a war time economy.

That being said, we don't have the worry about that as we see in series and the three superpowers put a lot, and I mean ALOT of their annual budgets into defence. I wouldn't be surprised if the EU put about twice as much as the modern US does into defence and as Britannia is the only one shown to be making advancements in the field of weapons like flying knightmares and Damocles in the same way the US does with fighters and missiles, we can assume that they put even more money and resources into their armed forces, say around three times the EU since we see that the country is often either supressing the numbers or fighting some war with the EU. So because of that, they have much more in the way of funding then the cannon universe does, especially when you consider that many people in this world would gladly make some sacrifices to comfort at home if it means supporting the PPDC and defeating their hated enemy.

ChimaTigon: She'll appear after the time-skip since she can't just appear in Japan like cannon and for obvious reasons, Clovis won't be able to host a Code-R thing. She also can't approach Lelouch like cannon with the promise of power of something like that as (1) he already had power in the form of a giant robot and growing support from his PPDC brothers and sisters in arms and (2) he would tell her he doesn't have time for plotting to kill his old man, not when he's busy being a husband and fighting for humanity's survival.

Vein Bloodborne: Thank you for that, it's hard writing a good scene with his guy being open about his feelings as even in cannon, we have no idea who he loved and how he saw as just a friend with the women in his life. Still a wedding is the perfect place to say such thing. It was also funny as Kaguya still chose to tease him rather than respond in the way he thought she would. She's gonna add a lot to the plot.

Viktoriya will also play a large role in the story and yes, she'll wait until after he gets back. Of course, with how the world is for them, they'll have to move slow and focus more on the investigative aspect on his vengeance as unlike cannon, starting a rebellion isn't the most feasible method. Yes, she'll make sure to convince him with evidence and logic but the drift is a bit tricky, since the only place the equipment for it exist is in jaegers and training academies. We saw in the movie why using one in a jaeger is a bad idea as the machine(and all its weapons systems) will also be active. Very bad if you see a memory that jump scares you.

Shadowkragg: Thanks for the compliments, it really helps as there are times when I'm not sure is the chapter is up to standard. Oh man, that meeting will be a disaster waiting to happen. I already knew that Newton and Lloyd would get a lot to some degree, but Gottlied? I think we can both agree that those two would mix as well as puppies and fire ants. Those points took a while to write up as I wanted them to make as much sense as possible from the character's point of view and not from the audience's.

Blaze1992: There is very little chance that the Wall of Life program would ever get the greenlight as we saw in the movie how bad the idea was, a category 4 broke through in less than a frickin hour. In that same movie, we saw that at least one Kaiju could fly, making the wall redundant. Also, if they knew that the Kaiju were adapting and learning their defences, what made them think a static defence in the form of a wall would be better to a dynamic one in the form of the PPDC? They could have just said that funding the PPDC was becoming too expensive, that would make a better reasoning then 'You're not useful anymore, we gonna put out faith into a wall, despite the fact that human history can attest to how…varied the success rate is with walls.'

YuukiAsuna-Chan: Yes he will, so she'll tell him before that so that it isn't a total shock. He hasn't learn of it before now because she actively thinks of something else whenever they pilot. Sure he could look deeper but they were taught to not grab onto memories, both their own and their partners so even if he thought he saw such a memory in her head, he would do as he was trained and ignore it and not look deeper into it.

ewertondragon10: Thanks, I would have picked a other part of the chapter but when you are as closed off as our boy, having him say he loved you would be the highlight of anybody's day(girls, he isn't gay). We'll see more of how he interacts with the young empress in this chapter. Suzaku and Euphemia, that is very unlikely due to the fact Suzaku is a different person to cannon, they won't have nearly as much time around one another to get that close in the first place, and she would be more focused on her brother and sister opening up to them then boys.

Vegito is King: Thanks, showing how characters interact with one another is an important part of the story. I did enjoy watching her whenever she had some screen time as she was funny as hell, like when she admits that she doesn't mind if the dude as a harem, sighting that she isn't at the age when she can please him physical,(without thing being weird and very much illegal). To be frank, I haven't thought much about Suzaku's love life as it isn't important to the story at this stage. Same with Nunnally. Akito would be odd as he's whole character would change if Japan wasn't occupied since he and his brother would never leave for Europe. Shin would never get geass and kill their family. And Akito would never enter military service. You see where I'm going with this? Leila on the other hand, might still enter military service due to the war in Japan wouldn't affect her life too much.

Chapter 7: The Day the Demon was married – Part 2

7th September 2019

Mt Fuji – Sumeragi Mt. Fuji Estate: Main Hall

"I must admit, I find myself curious to how a younger girl such as yourself can ran a nation the size of China." Lelouch said as he sat and conversed with Tianzi, along with the two of them were her two guards/assistants and his bride to be, Kaguya. Before hand, he had been in discussion with Xingke over light matters of little consequence as they let the two friends catch up with one another.

"It's been very hard. The former federation split industries between the different member nations so when it broke apart, different nations now only had one or two sectors they worked with, most of which unrelated." Tianzi replied with a small frown, regretting how the federation assigned tasks to entire nations, making them dependent on others for even basic needs. Even now, China was going through a food shortage and was heavily reliant on aid from Japan and Russia.

"Oh yes, I had heard that. India got most of your military power so your civil war was…messy." Lelouch approached the topic delicately as it made world news how bad things got over there as without the beating heart of the old military on either side, the civil war resembled wars at fought in the early 1900s with mostly infantry and some armoured divisions scattered about. And as neither side had any real advantage over the other, the fighting was dragged on much longer than anyone thought and cost much more lives, both of those fighting and civilians whenever they were caught in the middle.

"To put it likely, but those are events from the past. We are trying to move past them now." Tianzi nodded her head, not hiding the fact her country and people had to go through a dark patch there, but they were healing. It would take time but they would recover from this.

"And that has made you quite the celebrity on the world stage. Being the youngest head of state of the modern era." Lelouch said as he tipped his glass to her. The girl may have been younger then him and many thought she would buckle under the strain but she proved them all wrong and was quite the capable leader to her people. Even now, approval ratings for her was quite high, seeing how they hadn't fallen below 64% in the last 3 years.

"It doesn't leave much time for fun these days. Most of the time, it's the office or a press conference or something." Tianzi moaned, acting like the child she was as she had to spend almost all her time as a leader. She knew it was important and that her people needed her but it could be tiring at times to go to sleep exhausted only to wake up to more problems the next day.

"The world of adults is rarely fun, that I think we can both agree on. But onto other matters, how did you and Kaguya meet? I can't imagine your frequented the same watering holes, so to speak." Lelouch chuckled as he knew the feeling of having no time to decompress, he did joined the military when he was only 13 after all.

"And what is that supposed to mean, mister?" Kaguya asked him, wishing to see where he thought she liked to go.

"You and I both know you're the type that lives on the edge. I'm merely implying that the young empress would be more…conservative then you." Lelouch answered, keeping his phrasing vague.

"He's got a point, Kaguya. You've always been the more….confident of the two of us." Tianzi added in with a light blush as she could recall how bold her friend had always been, in their last outing as friends which happened to be a sleepover(they framed it as the empress hosting an important foreign dignitary), she wore the most risqué set of undergarments she had never seen. And that was only last year.

"Oh woe is me, my own husband to be and best friend are conspiring against me." Kaguya famed herself in mock shock, before she fell back into her seat, seemingly devastated. "We're not even married yet and already you are making moves on other women." She said as she looked towards her lover with crocodile tears in her eyes.

"Kaguya!" Tianzi shouted back, her face as red as her eyes as her two guards looked on amused with the antics of Lady Kaguya.

"Oh for the love," Unlike the young empress, Lelouch had thicker skin than that as he looked towards her with a raised brow. "Must you make a scene out of everything?"

"I wouldn't be me if I didn't." Kaguya shot back, as unapologetic as ever about her behaviour as she fluttered her eyes at him.

"I can't deny you there." Lelouch chuckled as he leaned in and gave her a little peck on the lips before turning back to the empress, not minding that Kaguya was pouting, most likely wanting that kiss to have deepened. "Either way, you didn't answer the question. How did the two of you met?"

"Well it was years ago, before the war. My family had some business with the Federation government, something about landing an important contract. So as the adults talked, we were left to ourselves." Kaguya started off the explanation.

"Kaguya was very positive, even back then. So she didn't stop until I came out of my shell and played with her. It was the most fun I had had in a long time." The Tianzi took it from there as she recalled his bubbly girl dragged her around the gardens, telling her of tales of the outside. She was enraptured by them.

"When it was discovered that we had formed a bond, it was decided it would be best if we kept in contact, to keep relations stable." Kaguya said as they both knew that their parents or in the Tianzi's case, the eunuchs wished to use their newfound relationship to their own benefits.

"I see." Lelouch nodded his head, not surprised by the actions taken by either side, it all fell in line with what you would expect from politicians.

"We mostly kept to letters and calls and when the federation broke up, we had to stop talking for a while as she moved from safe house to safe house." Kaguya said as it was a rather sad time for their friendship as she didn't know where she was most of time, the news didn't report anything useful and whatever letters did get sent always arrived late.

"Yes, I do recall how you were quite upset for a while. It's good to see that things did get better." Lelouch said as he recalled coming home one time and finding Kaguya greatly upset about something. He tried to get her to open up she didn't say a word, she only let him calm her down.

"They sure did. Now I can have a nice little chat every other day!" Tianzi said as she felt really happy about that. Not only could she leave the Forbidden City every now and then and travel her country, but she could also keep in contact with Kaguya.

"It really helps deal with the stress, being able to talk with friends." Kaguya said as she had made a habit if disappearing from her tutors and going off to play with friends or Nunnally whenever she had the chance.

"I can imagine, oh if you will excuse me, I would like to greet the other guests." Lelouch said he stood up and gave the table a small bow and smile before turning around and walking off.

"Of course, I'm sure we girls can find something to entertain us." Kaguya said with an exaggerated sigh.

"Oh hardy har-har. I shall see you three tomorrow." Lelouch before he got too far from the group.

'Tonight's sure is exhausting, I wasn't expecting this many people.' Lelouch thought to himself as he found himself approached by many of the guests, wishing to have a little chat with him or give their congratulations on things. 'Shouldn't have left Kaguya to finalise the quest list.' He thought to himself as he caught more than a couple looking at him with disdain, he was still Britannian after all but he didn't let it get to him. He was born in a pit of snakes after all.

"Now where as my best man vanished off to?" Lelouch asked himself as he found himself standing near the edges of the room as he tried to spot the brown haired boy. He could already see Genbu and his wife but not their son.

'Hmm?' But instead, he saw something else as he noted one of his close friends moving away from the party towards the back door leading to the gardens. "Viktoriya." He called out as he walked over to her, the girl jumping in response to his voice. Strange, she was normally more alert then that.

"Oh, Lelouch." Viktoriya said as she turned to face him.

"Might I ask where you're going? There's quite the chill outside." He asked as he got closer to her, wondering why she was leaving the hall.

"Oh uh, I wanted to get some fresh air, is all. Kinda stiff in here." Viktoriya said with a weak chuckle as she looked everywhere but him. This was strange but he decided to cut her a break.

"That is true, the upper class sure showed up in droves for this. I'll let you go get some air, just be sure to stay warm and get back here soon, the dinner will begin soon." Lelouch said to her as he gestured the other door which lead to the kitchen.

"I will." His partner nodded her head before she left the hall.

"Now, let's see where that guy got off…" With her gone, he went back to searching the room for his friend but when he spotted him, he was seated at a table with two people he hadn't seen or heard from in a long time. "To, well I suppose this was bound to happen." He said to himself as he watched as Nunnally was telling them about some adventure or tale from their past.

(With Nunnally)

"Is it true?" Euphemia said as she sat and listened to Nunnally tell them on her new hobby of pottery making.

"It is, after Kaguya introduced it to me, I never stopped making pottery, Grandma Rukia says that I'm improving." Nunnally insisted with a bright smile on her face. She enjoyed moulding the clay, adding colours to it and since she's been making strides and improvements in her physical therapy, she found herself using lower and lower power setting on the electric motor that normally powered the pottery stand. The doctors were sure that in around 6 months, she won't even need the motor anymore.

"Oh that is wonderful! I'm sure that Clovis would love to hear of this. Perhaps down the line, the two of you could work on a joined project." Euphemia said, already picturing the two of them meeting up and hosting some kind of art show.

"That sounds like it'll be fun." Nunnally agreed with her. It would be nice to see Clovis again. She had heard he was quite the painter over the radio and was touring France at the moment.

"That's if he can focus on not hugging you the whole time." Cornelia added in, knowing that her younger brother was quite emotional and would no doubt try something like that. It made him poor for leadership but when he put those emotions to canvas, even she couldn't deny he made some wonderful pieces of art.

"Let's see how far we get here today before we bring in more of my family." Another voice spoke as they approached the table, sounding not too amused.

"Big brother! Did you know, Cornelia and Euphemia are here?" Nunnally turned to the unmistakable voice of her older brother as he approached them. As he walked over, he gave a slight head nod towards his fellow pilots which they returned.

"Kinda hard not to when they were announced by the doorman." Lelouch chuckled as he bent down and gave the wheelchair bond girl a good, firm hug before he got back up and faced the two other guests. "Cornelia, Euphemia. Welcome to my wedding reception."

"Big brother!" But what he wasn't expecting was for Euphemia to all but tackle him to the ground in joy at seeing him. The only reason he didn't go down was because of his quick reflexes making it so that he retained his balance.

"Arg!" But that didn't mean it didn't hurt.

"Euphie!" Cornelia jumped to her feat. Sure she wished she could have done the same but she also thought about the delicate situation they were in and how this could make things worse. Kallen for her part looked just as surprised as the violet haired princess while Gino looked close to laughing out loud at the sight. Nunnally couldn't see what was happening but she could guess what happened, she was no fool after all and her brother had been teaching her whenever he had time on how to read the room as he called it.

"Oh, it's been too long!" Euphemia wasn't backing down as she seemed to have forgotten all social protocol for their situation as not even the glances from other tables could get her to stop.

'Jesus man, how the hell can she have this much strength, she's crushing me!' Lelouch thought to himself as he worked to get her off of him. "Euphemia, I would appreciate it if you didn't kill me." He got out, keeping himself as calm and collected as he could be. Now wasn't the time to lose his cool.

"It's still true, we hadn't had contact in a long time." Euphemia said as she broke off her hug to wipe away some tears from her eyes. She had hoped for this moment for years and being her, being able to speak with her siblings face to face, it was almost too much.

"Yes, well my duties both as an elder brother, husband to be and a soldier keep me busy." Lelouch said as he wiped off his uniform.

"But that shouldn't keep you from keeping in contact with your family." Euphemia countered with a small pout of all things, did this age past 11? For the rest of the table, they all had mixed reactions as Suzaku and Kallen both looked confused as hell, Cornelia looked like she was expecting something like this but was still unpleased with it while Gino and Nunnally both giggled to themselves as they took in the rather amusing interaction between siblings.

"I do, I regularly send letters to Nunnally and the Kirihara's." Lelouch answered, cutting her off with a harsh truth that he still didn't trust them or view them as family.

"Moving on," Cornelia, seeing this could turn into an argument as she knew how headstrong the two of them could be, redirected the flow of the conversation. "It is great to see you are in good health, we knew that nothing had happened but it helps to see this with our own eyes." She stated with a small but sincere smile as she was very happy to be able to have this conversation and to learn that Nunnally may very well walk again in the future.

"I have been keeping up an exercise and diet regimen for a few years now. As a pilot, I cannot allow myself to grow soft." Lelouch said as he took a seat at the table, keeping close to his sister as the rest made room for him.

"Yes, the tasks we are given can be a handful at times." Cornelia replied as she could agree to that as even before she enlisted into the PPDC, her duties in the Britannian armed forces kept her busy most of the time.

"Speaking of which, what have the two of you been up to? I don't follow Britannians news that often so I'm in the dark about the happenings of the royal family." Lelouch admitted as he inquired of the two of them. The only things he ever really looked into was their branches of the PPDC and jaeger development. Other than that, he never bothered.

"I transferred to the PPDC some time ago. I'm currently posted in the Los Angeles Shatterdome." Cornelia replied, knowing that he most likely knew that but wishing to test the waters so to speak.

"Is that right? I had heard the rumours but I didn't look into it. I can imagine it's different to what you're used to?" Lelouch asked her as he knew that his sister was one of the more rational members of his former family but she still had the tendency to carry herself like royalty even in her military duties. It had made big news after all when Canine was rejected from the pilot program a mere three days after classes started because she was, to put it simply, a crazed bloodthirsty brat who thought her status would keep her afloat.

She was wrong.

"It was a…adjustment but I flowed into the new role as well as I could do." Cornelia could admit, that she missed the rank and authority she once had but she couldn't fault them as they ran a tight and efficient ship in the PPDC. She could even respect the foreign pilots for their skill and dedication to the cause.

"I started up a humanitarian programme. We've been aiding numbers to get full citizenship and support them in legal matters." Euphemia said as she took her own seat again, keeping her slight heartbreak at her brother's harsh words to herself.

"I thought numbers can't obtain full citizenship." Suzaku spoke up.

"They can't at the moment but we've been trying to change that. I and those likeminded like me have been trying to gain enough support to have this law abolished." Euphemia said as she had been trying to a while now to get the house of commons on her side but it had been slow going.

"Isn't discrimination against the numbers a national policy of yours?" Suzaku said, his brow raised as he had been told this quite a while ago, and still he found it to be a archaic practice.

"Just because it's a policy now doesn't mean it can't be change. Even Schneizel agrees with me but there's only so much power the Prime Minister has." Euphemia defended herself against him, used to having to deal with this kinda thing as that was the shameful truth of the matter.

"So you're trying to get rid of the number system?" Kallen asked her, getting in on this. When the princess nodded her head, she got her answer. "Interesting, I wouldn't have thought you cared."

"I may not be a number and it's true that I've lived a privileged life but," Euphemia said as she looked down at her own hands, hands that hadn't to do little in her life to get want she wanted when she wanted it while others had to scarp and struggle just to get on by. "I want to help as many people as I can. And one way to do it ensure that all are considered equal before the law." She said as she looked at the table, at those who are voiced scepticism to her dream. "I'm sure you're heard of all the protests, civil unrest and demonstrations against the government in the empire. All the number system does, is breed pain and hate." She said as the kaiju's appearance had only added fuel to the already existing fire. Even now, there were many parts of the empire that were close to martial law. The only reason that it wasn't declared already is the fear of a mass uprisings the likes of which that saw the end of kings in France.

"And you think you can do it?" Lelouch asked her.

"I may not be the smartest, or strongest but if I don't take that first step, if I don't at least try, can I really say that I did anything at all." Euphemia said him back, looking into his eyes with her own to let him see her soul, and what she was hoping for. "We can't wait for others to step up and do it, we have to be the ones that do it."

"You haven't change at all, have you?" Lelouch asked with a small smile, glad to see that she passed the test that he had set for her.

"I don't think that's true. I've changed a lot over the years, it just that some things will never change." Euphemia answered, having a feeling that she just won a big battle to ensuring she could be a part of her brother's life again.

"I suppose so, so what? You want an apology?" Lelouch asked her, only for Nunnally to poke him in the ribs with her own pout.

"Brother, that's mean." Nunnally chastised him.

"I don't think you would even if I asked. All I want to be able to talk with you two again, is that so much?" Euphemia asked of him, reaching into her purse and handing him the letter from their elder brother. For a couple moments, he only looked at the thing before he signed and reached out to accept it, not missing the smiles of the two princess's face as he tucked it away into his coat pocket. He'll read it later.

"It isn't, we'll try our best to answer your letters whenever we get them." Lelouch opened up, at least a bit as he was thankful to see that Euphemia hadn't changed too much and what change she did have was growth, good growth. After that, they continued to discuss their lives and interests up till the main dinner was announced. At that time, he had to return to the main table where he along with his bride, Kaguya were seat. She took the left seat and to her left sat her parents and Tianzi, taking up the furthest seat on the long table, which was something both girls didn't really care for while he took the right seat. To his right was his grandparents, the Kirihara's and Nunnally taking the furthest seat on that end.

As the dinner was served, toasts were held and announcements and good wishes were given but eventually, the night wore on and the reception ended.

The next day, they're wedding was one unlike any other as it mixed traditional Japanese Shinto ritual with Protestant Christian ceremony. Was it unorthodox? Yes it was, but it seemed to fit the bride and groom quite well as both could attest to that being one the happiest days of their lives together. They even have a wedding bouquet as he had gotten her black roses from Turkey and Wood lilies(Red lilies) from Britannia to mark the day, which some of the younger ladies in attendance had fought over. They took pictures with quests, family, friends and each other, cut their cake which Nunnally had specially made, having recruited one of the best cake masters in the world, flying them in from Italy. Though they kept the actual event surprisingly short as they had booked their flight to Europe early the following morning.

9th September 2019

20km outside of Paris, France: The palace of Versailles

"Lelouch, are you listening to me?" Kaguya repeated for what felt was the 10th time to her husband.

"My apologies, I was only thinking back to our wedding. Things sure got rather interesting, didn't they?" Lelouch apologised as he snaked an arm around her and pulled her close. At present the two of them were riding a nice romantic carriage around the gardens of Versailles. Unlike their wedding, the two of them weren't wearing anything too fancy, they just wanted to have a relaxing and idealistic honeymoon so they had packed regular clothing as to not stick out.

"Oh don't go talking about it like's its ancient history, we haven't even broken in our wedding rings yet." Kaguya giggled as she looked down at the golden ring around her finger, on it was a beautiful and mesmerizing gem of blue garnet rather than a diamond. She remembered what she was sure would be the 2nd happiest day of her life, the first would be when they finally had children.

"I don't think you 'break' them in." Lelouch said as he looked down at his own wedding ring with a fond smile, having never really thought about marriage but now that he was, he could see why people said it was magical.

"We don't know that, it's not like we ever asked a married couple before. By the way, it was rather bold of you to not present a ring with a nice big diamond on it to me." Kaguya said to him with a cheeky smile as she leaned into his embrace, really enjoying that he had bulked up a bit, not too much that he was like her cousin but enough that she could really appreciate his muscles. That along with their couple's tour around the gardens really made things wonderful as even though they were in the middle of autumn, the gardens are still beautiful and well taken care of.

"Yes, well the blue garnet gem I was able to get my hands on seemed more fitting." Lelouch bragged as he took time off work and search high and low for such a thing. Did it take much, much longer then he thought it would? Yes. Did it cost him half his savings, Yes. But was it worth it? Most definitely.

"And I couldn't agree with you more." Kaguya said as they went back to silently enjoying their tour around the place. They only enjoyed the other's company as they kept in close contact to ward off the fall chill, sure they were dressed for it but why not. After they finish the out-door's tour, they went along to take a tour of the actual palace itself.

"I can't believe they kept the throne." Kaguya said as they along with the rest of the tour group, journeyed through the palace itself and at present, they found themselves in the former throne room.

"Yeah, you would think in a country where they grew to despise the monarchy they would have recycled it or something." Lelouch said as he looked over the gold and steel throne with a hint of approval. Who ever made this was a fine craftsmen.

"Into what, a public bench?" Kaguya asked him with a big ol smile as she could picture someone just chucking the throne into a smelting furnace.

"Then everyone can be a king or queen, even the local hobo." Lelouch added with a laugh as the two laughed off the joke. The rest of the group not saying anything as the two of them were speaking in Japanese so they had no idea what the two of them were saying.

"That would have been so funny!" Kaguya said through her laugher as she worked to contain herself as they moved on to view other parts of the palace and the treasures it held.
