Being Distracted Chapter 4 –
Chuck looked up as the person in the doorway came into view. Her image was the angel he desperately needed right now. "Casey!" Casey came out with his gun aimed but when he saw that it was Chuck, he slipped his gun into the back of shirt and picked him up. Sarah did a quick search then closed the doors behind her and sat down beside Chuck who was half laying half sitting on Casey's couch. Casey grabbed some towels and gave them to Sarah. Sarah dried his face and she looked terribly worried. Chuck picked up on it. "I'm ok. I am glad you called."
"I'm glad that you picked up." Smiling at each other.
Casey came back in. I'm going to do a walk about and see if it's safe to head back. Stay here till I get back." Chuck and Sarah both nodded. Casey slipped out the front and Sarah instantly kissed Chuck. Chuck held her face close to his. The kiss was sweet, but it gave Sarah the proof she needed to know that Chuck was okay. Chuck sat up and cringed and Sarah searched for the reason. Sarah lifted his shirt and saw that none of his stitches opened up, but he still was in a lot of pain. "What's wrong?" "Just how I landed, I guess. I crawled out of Ellie's and Devon's bedroom window and climbed up and over the lattice wall but with the rain it must have been slippery enough that I slipped on my way down. Nothing's broken just sore." Sarah stood up slightly from where she was and crawled over and straddle Chuck's lap. "Uh Sarah Casey could walk in anytime and I it wouldn't be something he'd want to see."
"I know but when I heard that Hendricks was coming after you and I wasn't able to get to you I felt that I had lost you. Chuck placed his hands on her hips and brought her close. "But you did come for me, you know you need to stop doing this, it's becoming a habit."
Sarah's mood changed when Chuck saw her frown turn into a smile. Chuck brought his hand to her chin and lifted her face. "Thanks for coming for me." Chuck leaned forward and kissed her. His hand moved slightly encasing her lower back. His fingers on her skin sent her senses into overdrive. She kissed him back but hopped off just before Casey walked in. 'How did she know he was at the door?'
Sarah turned to face Casey. "Anything?"
"One guy but he won't be talking anytime soon."
"You didn't shoot him, did you?" Chuck looked at him.
Casey grunted a #57 – No you idiot, did you hear any shots. "I called it in, and they just arrived. Got his id. Casey passed the id to Sarah then Sarah passed it to Chuck. Chuck looked at the id – "Another retired SEAL, but." Chuck stood up. Holding his side. "He was at the place across the hotel, the night we saw Hendricks."
"So, we have proof that he was here. We also have proof that he has a hit out on Chuck, but why despite the obvious?"
"Hendricks must think that Chuck knows something, so he wants to keep him quiet. If he can't get his hands-on Benjamin or Hassan he'd go after Chuck."
"But how did he know where Chuck lived?"
"I don't know but I am going to find out. It's safe to head back. I'll add some more security just in case." Chuck walked to the door. "Thanks Casey."
"Get some sleep."
Sarah followed Chuck to the door and turned to face Casey. "Casey, should we be worried that they know that we are looking into this?"
"Whomever is behind this, doesn't know by now that people are looking into this then they are pretty dumb, but if they do and it will make a lot of people rich, nothing, no rank or Government bureaucracy is going to stop that. If Hendricks is the CIA main guy, he still has to report to someone and having Tobias' money he's covered. We can look at Jefferies, but Beckman hasn't told us to think otherwise. We will keep it as is and one day someone is going to slip, and we will be there."
A few weeks later
Chuck was sitting at his desk going over what they would be doing once they got back to Syria. Chuck got a clean bill of health from Beckman and his sister. Going over his notes he stuffed his list of equipment he needed to hack into the feeds in Damascus and any other computer adapters, he might need. He looked on his bed and saw the manual to a new drone that he got permission to use once he arrived. It would be their eyes and hopefully guide them to where they needed to go and keep an eye out for anyone that may be an issue. Chuck turned to face his desk and looked up at the door. "Sarah what are you doing here?" "Ellie let me in. She and Devon are off for their shift. I left my bags at the door. She was surprised that I came with my luggage, but Devon pushed Ellie along."
"Yeah she's been very overprotective since she got back and heard from Morgan that I was injured." "I'm sorry that you had to lie about how you got hurt."
"Yeah I figured that car accident would make more sense than me trying to explain that I fell out a window after fighting with a man who was possibly a threat to the future of the United States."
"Yeah a car accident does sound better." Chuck resumed his packing his bag. "So where are we in the case?"
"Hassan and Sophie are still in protective custody and we will meet with them when we get to DC and we head back to Irbid. Casey was watching your feed and we finally got a time, location and proof that someone in our very own Government was living off of Snyder's huge pockets for the war efforts. Syed has gone into hiding. And that is why we are heading back with Hassan and Sophie. She knows where to look for Syed and now that she has been quiet for a while they won't be expecting to hear or see from her. Hassan can get us deeper into Irbid."
"So, I guess we are off?"
Sarah moved closer towards Chuck. "We have some unfinished business to take care off before we go." Chuck stood up and tossed some item into his open bag on the floor, then looked at Sarah. "And that is?"
Sarah cupped his face and kissed him." Chuck tried to speak in the middle of the kiss. "Well, we can't do this."
"We can and we will."
Sarah grabbed his shirt and started to unbutton his shirt. Chuck looked at Sarah as she back kicked the door shut and moved towards the bed. "Unless?"
"Unless what?"
"You're not up for it." Sarah went for the second button. Chuck smiled. Chuck grabbed the hem of her shirt at the same time Sarah reached the last button. Chuck tossed her shirt and pulled his shirt off making them both fall to the floor. Chuck looked at her and dragged his finger up her arm and across her chest. He held his hand on either side of her ribs massaging her ribs with his thumbs as he kissed her softly. They continued to kiss then fell onto the bed lying side by side, caressing each other and being as close as they could. Sarah got up and sat on her legs with her knees bent and worked his belt and pulled his jeans down to his toes. She stood up and pulled them completely off. She stood facing Chuck as Chuck sat up and unbuttoned her jeans kissing her bare skin just above her waist. Chuck slipped her jeans down and held her as she slipped out them. He looked up at her as she cupped his face and kissed him as he unclasped her bra and pulled the material down towards him. He smiled then kissed her stomach and pulled her closer as she straddled his hips like she had done before. Chuck pulled his sheets back then turned and fell into the bed with Sarah's leg still wrapped around his waist. He kissed her in places that had been waiting for someone like Chuck to touch. He was gentle and showed patience. He wasn't in a rush. They had waited for a long time and no flight or mission was going to speed this up. Chuck rolled into her as they became one. They ached for each other as each motion, each kiss, touch added to the already intense, desperate desire to fulfill what they had always wanted to do but couldn't. Sarah rolled Chuck onto his back. She tried to smile but couldn't, the emotions she felt had paused any other emotion from being expressed. Chuck sat up and kissed her and held her close as he spoke not of words but how he held her, how he made her feel and allowing her to really feel the love they had for each other. They went the distance and crashed into each other arms. Chuck laid back as Sarah covered them up. Chuck kissed her and looked at her as she looked up at him. "You ok?"
Sarah stayed quiet but held his hand in hers. Chuck waited and could tell that she wanted to say something, but the words weren't there. She leaned closer to him and kissed him, that was all she could do. She ran her hands through his hair as she rolled him over to her. Chuck slid his leg under hers and laid together looking at each other. They kissed on and off till Sarah finally spoke. "I love you." Sarah lowered her head and broke away from his hold and faced the other side of the bed. Chuck now realizing that she had heard him on the stairs. Chuck slid closer to her. "You heard me."
Sarah wiped the tear that was forming. She nodded into her pillow. Then rolled to face him. "I heard you. But I wasn't sure if you remembered saying it or I just thought that I heard it, so I didn't say anything. "You heard me right."
"Yes Chuck, I heard you say that you love me." Chuck leaned more on his elbow and looked at her. "So, don't forget." Sarah shook her head slightly. Then the smile he had been waiting for finally came. Chuck placed his lips on her and slid his arms around her and held his body close to hers. Sarah wrapped her free leg over his hip and pressed him closer to her. As the second round picked up and the third time in the shower, they laid in each others arm watching the courtyard welcome a new day.
Casey packed the Crown Vic as the three headed to airport.
They met Beckman, Agent Benjamin and Hassan at an undisclosed hanger. Hassan was happy to see Chuck knowing what had happened and Chuck finally got to meet Agent Benjamin. Chuck, Sarah and Agent Benjamin spoke briefly before they boarded the flight and Chuck found out that Hassan now knew about Benjamin and her reasons for being there. Benjamin looked out towards where Hassan was kicking the dirt as he strolled along side the jet. "Hassan says he fine with it, he said that he figured that I was different than those others who worked there. He said that I was much kinder and that was one of the reasons he said he loved about me."
"What about your status?"
Benjamin turned to face Chuck. "General Beckman doesn't know yet, because I am not under her and haven't been given a fair shake on this – they might just let me retire early and save the CIA and the tax payers even more hassle. But she does want me to help end this, so I hope it turns out in my favour."
"Will Hassan move here?"
"Maybe. I can't stay there not if they know that I am a spy?"
"Probably not but you could be an ally for us?"
Benjamin smiled. "Agent Walker, Chuck thanks for believing me."
Benjamin walked away and Beckman and Casey walked towards Chuck and Sarah. "The jet is ready. When you arrive in the next day or so head to the Port of Agaba in Jordan – we think that there is a weapon depot there and the guns they receive go directly into Syria and if we close it down now they are finished and it will take months to get it back up and running. And Chuck those 14 provinces you flashed on same goes there. You help Amir shut down a place known as the CREST. Hassan said that he and brothers have tried for months to shut it down. It is near Irbid. "
"Anything else General?"
"For now, your good. There's nothing we can do that has been done or the lives that have been taken. If our Government is going to operate like this, we do what we can, but this might be something that may go on for years. And if it is not this Government then the next and four more years after that and….So do what you can and the little noise you make will hopefully make people take notice." Casey nodded at the General but the others were already getting on the jet.
The three followed Agent Benjamin and Hassan into the jet. Chuck sat at the back and waited till Sarah joined him after getting Hassan and Sophie settled near the front. Casey slipped into one of the middle seats and instantly fell asleep. Sarah smiled as she got closer to Chuck. Chuck moved his legs as Sarah shimmied into the far seat nearest the window. She instantly grabbed Chuck's hand and held it to her lips. Chuck looked at her. "You can't do that?" And why not, as Sarah kissed his hand again. Sarah moved closer and tried to kiss him, but Chuck wasn't having it. It took all of his strength not to devour her right there and then. Sarah settled to holding his hand, but he could tell that she was waiting for the right moment for something.
Chuck typed away at his laptop getting the drone ready and getting a visual of the landscape just in case they didn't have time. Sarah put down her word search that was the only thing that had distracted her from physically devouring Chuck, but the fifth puzzle she had enough. She got up and took a peek, Sophie and Hassan were out and Casey was still sleeping. Sarah walked back and grabbed Chuck's hand and by the force, he quickly put his stuff down, they slipped into the back then into the bathroom. Chuck couldn't help oblige, to what was about to happen. Sarah had planned the whole thing once or twice in her mind and knew exactly how the moment was going to go. Chuck leaned against the wall as he hoisted her onto the sink and quickly got things moving or he'd be left behind. Sarah was glad that he was just wearing a t- shirt, no buttons to deal with and he wore loose fitting boxers. Easy to get rid off. Chuck kissed Sarah hard as he worked her jeans and Sarah used her unique flexibility to push his pants and boxers downward. Sarah lost her breath for a brief moment as they became one. Chuck didn't wait and she didn't want him too. Chuck was beyond ecstatic that he could now say that he was about to be be a member of the mile-high club. But who would he tell this wonderful news too? Sarah continued to kiss Chuck to keep him focussed on the task and not resort to having a lovely conversation. Chuck held on and Sarah held on even tighter as they both vocally displayed their appreciation and satisfaction.
Chuck kissed Sarah's neck then her lips as he cupped her breasts. He continued to move as Sarah rubbed his drenched back. Chuck breathed a huge sigh and kissed her a few more times. He dragged his cheek against hers and whispered. "I love you." "I love you too."
Chuck begrudgingly back up and pulled up his boxers and jeans up. Grabbing his shirt, he slipped it on and helped Sarah off the sink. She grabbed her jeans as Chuck fixed her bra strap placing a few kisses on her bare shoulder. Sarah slipped her shirt on and fixed her hair. Making sure that their shirts were on right and everything was zipped up and in the right place, Chuck opened the door. He looked down the length of the jet and all was clear. Sarah grabbed some water and a few bottles of some stronger and sat back in their seats as if nothing happened.
Chuck fell into his seat with the biggest grin on his face. Sarah sat back and placed her legs over his. Chuck leaned his seat back and whispered. "I can't believe that we just did that. I mean wow what a first with someone as beautiful as you."
"Your welcome and thanks for being my first?"
Chuck looked at her. "You mean you haven't?"
Sarah shook her head. "I never really understood the reason why people do it, but if I ever did do it, it would have to be with someone I cared about deeply. And with someone willing to do it on a plane."
Chuck grabbed her hand them brought his lips to hers.
Damascus
Hassan and Sophie headed back to his place as it had been almost a month since they left. Casey gave them a phone and told them to stay low for a few days. Casey wanted to wait and see if word got around that Benjamin was back. He figured that it wouldn't take long. Chuck and Sarah and Casey headed back to the hotel that they were at before and looking across the street the building they went to the last time was boarded up. Chuck sat down and set up his equipment and hacked into a feed that would allow them to see their route to Irbid in the morning.
Casey grabbed a few things and walked over to Chuck. "You ready?"
"I think so. The drone will follow us tomorrow and hopefully it won't be seen, and we can get the intel we need."
Casey headed to the door. "Guys grabbed your gear we are going for a little ride." Sarah looked at Chuck, she knew that they wouldn't be alone tonight and that their time on the plane would be their last for while. Sarah grabbed three vests and the three drove to a small house on the outskirts of Damascus. Casey drove into a check point that Chuck quickly picked up on as being protected by the US Army. Chuck slipped out of the car and looked around at the darkness of the night sky and the moon shining a mourning glow over the sandy ground and faded buildings. Casey saluted the soldiers and waited while Sarah stepped in front of Chuck as Chuck zipped up his jacket to hide the fact that he was wearing a vest. Casey waited then a man in local clothing came out and waved them inside. Casey walked past the armed men and Sarah and Chuck followed closely as they entered the dimmed two-bedroom house. Casey placed his palms together and bent forward to address the man and his family. Sarah and Chuck followed. They sat around the small wooden table. "Agent Walker, Chuck this is Abdul Halim Khaddam and his wife Hamediah. He was the Syrian Vice President that got in touch with Beckman after he got word that someone was taking this threat and invasion seriously. He is in hiding and will be flown to Germany for his cooperation. "It was good to hear from you Major Casey. Your Beckman is one woman who is tough." "Yes, she is and thank you for meeting with us." "Your General told me that you need info on Sheikh Hassan Nasrallah the leader of the Shi'ite Lebanese Militia."
"Yes, we hope to put an end to this, but it may be bigger than what we can handle or even do."
"But if we can make the world know that this is happening, and that one Government is funding another Governments military with no care in what happens, then both Governments are equally to blame for the trouble."
"Mr. Khaddam we are not a part of that group that you are talking about. One of our own tried to make things right and they almost killed her. They also tried to kill one of my team and luckily he is sitting here with us." Khaddam looked at Chuck. Chuck looked up. "With your help we can be that glimmer of hope that your people desperately need."
Khaddam looked at his wife. "Hamediah, my things." Then he spoke Arabic to her. Hamediah came back with a box. Khaddam stood up and opened the box. Hamediah brought tea and served her guests. Chuck nodded his appreciation and thanked her in Arabic. "shukraan jazilaan."
Hamediah smiled and sat down. Khaddam pulled out some photos that Casey took from him. It was the proof that they needed. Thomas Jefferies shaking hands with Sheikh Hassan Nasrallah. Casey looked at the next photo then passed them onto Chuck and Sarah. The last photo Chuck flashed. Chuck saw weapons and money being exchanged but it wasn't possible unless it had happened once before. Sarah looked at him and he nodded back. "Excuse me Mr. Khaddam, do you recall a name Timber Sycamore and if so when did it start?"
Khaddam looked at Chuck and was impressed with the question. "The boy is smart?"
"He is." Casey and Sarah both replied. "Timber Sycamore actually started quite innocently about five years ago. We thought that it was a good idea that we train and recruit our men to be ready if anything happened like it did on September 2001. So, my Government agreed to have the CIA help us get started, but there was no plan to involve weapons to the degree that they are now. We agreed to have weapons that only the members of the Intelligence Service would have. So, the ARAB Intelligence Service was established, it was going very well, it was very positive for our community and beliefs, till some of the CIA Agents from Washington decided to fund this operation 100 percent. They also wanted to train and arm our local men who were part of the Sheikh Hassan Nasrallah regime. They were more interested in making money and not saving lives. Then they what you call it got in bed with the Lebanese Militia and made friends with Syed Hasan Nama. By then it was too late for us to do anything and no one was willing to listen."
"Some one was, and we have plans to shut this down. But we have to make sure that you and your wife are safe. Your family?"
"My children are in Jordan and will meet us when we leave here. Please Major Casey, whatever you can do."
Casey got up and took the photos and Chuck grabbed the box. "We will do our best." The three stepped out into the darkness as Casey walked over to the soldiers and motioned with is hands. The soldiers nodded then saluted and headed inside. Chuck and Sarah waited till they heard in the distance a chopper fluttering towards them. As soon as the chopped landed the soldier that was armed walked in front of Khaddam and his wife along with a few of their belonging they walked towards the chopper. The chopper took off and disappeared. The three waited to see if there was anyone sticking around that wasn't supposed to be. The other soldiers got into the two army vehicles that stayed idle and drove into the darkness. Casey followed the hummer to an Army base. Casey rolled down his window as they approached the check point. "Major John Casey." "Yes Major."
"Make sure that Major Kent gets this box and that General Beckman will be waiting for his response." "Yes Major." The young soldier ran the box inside. Casey stepped out and lit a cigar. Chuck and Sarah got out and waited. Fifteen minutes later the door opened and out walked a tall broad looking soldier. He walked out and saluted the Major then they both laughed. Chuck and Sarah then knew that they knew each other. "So, look what the dust storm blew in." "Well it's good to see you too." Major Kent walked over and shook hands with Sarah and Chuck. "So, this is your team that you left me for."
"Yes, Agent Sarah Walker and CIA Analyst Charles Carmichael. "Nice to meet you." Kent walked back to face Casey. "It's good to see you but I didn't think that it would be because of this."
"I know, but we need to do something."
"I hope something can be done. Washington is pretty hush hush on this but what is going on here, and I am surprised that they want it to continue. We are trying to keep peace here and what they are doing is just adding to the violence and chaos."
"So, what do you know about Timber Sycamore or Tertia Optio?"
Kent looked at Casey. "I didn't think many people knew of this."
"We have our way of finding these things out."
"If the US is making money, they won't shut it down and if you already know about it then it is already happening. No matter how many people want it to stop or wash their hands of it, as soon as the Militia has a financial backer, they don't care what part of the Government is involved."
"So, we basically just cut the head off of one of the snakes."
"Looks like it and hopefully she has given you what she found out."
"We are talking about Agent Benjamin."
"Yes, Agent Walker. We met with Agent Benjamin after we both stumbled on some intel and we came looking at the same time and after a few close calls we were able to form an alliance between a small group of men led by Amir Amed and his brother Hassan. We were asked not to harm them as they were against this militia group that had overtaken their communities and forced their sons to join the militia. They are worried that Irbid would be taken over shortly just like the fear that all of Syria will one day be in total chaos and civil war will break out causing a grand exodus of their people."
"But is it enough?"
"Mr. Carmichael, for now it's hard to say, even if the world hears about this, we might never be able to stop it completely and then there's nothing we can do except hope that what was done made an impact on these people to stick up for their communities and not let the Government dictate the way that they have been. But honestly this might go on for years."
"It was good to see you and I don't think that it will be the last either. We have a lead to head to a place called the CREST, so we might need some support."
"John I will have my team ready, just in case."
"Thanks, we better head back."
Kent saluted Casey and Chuck and Sarah slipped back inside the car.
Irbid – The CREST the next morning
Casey slowed the car down as Chuck slipped out and opened the trunk and hooked up the drone. Sarah grabbed the remote pad as Chuck walked it out towards a hill overlooking what Hassan called the 'qima' meaning the CREST. Chuck had Sarah place it on the sand. Chuck then pressed the screen and the drone lifted into the blue sky. Chuck drove the drone as Sarah guided Chuck by watching the screen on a handheld device. Casey drove Hassan and Agent Benjamin up to the next hill where Hassan's brothers were. After a brief reunion they all watched into the valley two miles from where Chuck, Sarah and Casey were a month ago. Amir and his people were able to push the militia back and now lay claim to what was now known as the CREST, the last valley and passage that the militia needed to have access to this part of Syria. Casey grabbed his sniper rifle and slipped under a camouflage tent that he set up overlooking the CREST. Chuck set the drone to take pictures every 30 seconds. He sat down near a large rock as Sarah sat beside him keeping an eye on the area around them. "Casey, Walker."
"Go on Walker."
"Check out your right about halfway up the hill near where the drone is. I am getting a flash, could be a sniper or look out?"
Casey waited under a camouflage but kept busy scanning the area through his scope. "Affirmative. Have Chuck bring the drone down behind them and switch to infrared."
Sarah lowered her hand. "Casey wants to you switch to infrared." Chuck swiped his controls switching to infrared. "Ready Casey. I see four. About a foot or two apart north to south."
Casey looked and saw where Chuck mention seeing the one guy and he wasn't alone and that there were indeed three more. Casey squinted and fired four shots. Casey scanned the area again. "All clear, Chuck can move closer." Chuck flew the drone and slipped it into a spot near what he could tell was a base or camp. Sarah scanned the area before having Chuck lift off. She turned up the audio and made sure that it was still recording, as this would be their only intel. Chuck lifted the drone quietly and kept it low as he moved closer to one of the buildings. Hovering just above the windows ledge they could hear people inside. Chuck listened as Sarah adjusted the volume. "That's Hendricks, Jefferies."
"Thomas are we ready to move forward?"
"Jeremy, we would if those loose ends were taken care of."
"What do you mean?"
"I just got a call that Agent Benjamin is here with Amir's brother and that Beckman's team might be as well. I thought that you said that she was taken care of and."
"We went by Carmichael's place and nothing and when we went back again still nothing, and Agent Benjamin was swooped up by Beckman."
"They talk we are done."
"There's nothing they can do; they have no proof and we have made it look like it was sanctioned by the current Government. And because it is a covert program it technically doesn't exist."
"But it does Hendricks, the number of casualties, the amount of money spent on this, the shipment of guns. People are taking notice."
"And what are they going to do about it. By the time the world takes notice this program could be running for the next 5 – 10 years. Plus, I don't think Syria wants peace, Iraq and Iran have been fighting for years and nothing has been done to stop that?"
Chuck moved a bit closer but backed off when Jefferies walked to the window. "You're not thinking of shutting this down?"
Jefferies turned around. "No, I have too much invested in this."
"What about General Beckman and her team? Amir and his brothers and Agent Benjamin."
"General Beckman will be forced to agreed or its her job, Amir and his brothers will be taken care of in. (As Jefferies looked at his watch) In less than one hour, I have a gift that will be coming to wipe them out. And for Agent Benjamin, its her word against ours and right now its not worth anything."
Casey you need to get Amir and the rest out of there. It looks like Jefferies is bringing in something to wipe them out. He said with in the hour." "So that gives us half that."
Casey sprang to his feet and hurried over to Amir and Hassan and explained the situation and called in that favour. Chuck flew the drone back to the road and they headed to the other hill where Casey was. Casey had Kent's air support be prepared to bring down the camp. It wouldn't be a solution, but it would slow them down.
Jefferies answered his phone. "Where?" Jefferies opened his door and saw four of his men being carried into camp. Jefferies walked up to them and saw the shot. He looked out towards the landscape. Hendricks walked up to him. "What is it? Who did this?"
"There's only a few men that I know that could make that shot and he's out there."
"Who?" "Major Casey."
Up at the hill, Amir and his brothers headed back into Irbid and laid low with their families knowing that what was going to happen would not only cause major destruction, but it would give them some hope that things could get back to the way they were. Casey called Kent and Kent gave the orders. In seconds two F-18 flew by and seconds later bombs hit the lower valley. Plumes of smoke and fire bellowed and blew into the sky. Loud bangs and debris flew in all directions. The F-18 flew by again and hit them from behind.
The three left and headed back to the hotel. It was their turn to stay low and wait. Chuck downloaded the intel and photos and sent them to Beckman. Beckman confirmed that she had received the files.
A week later the three were sitting outside Beckman's office after days of waiting to get back to the US. Airports were at a stand still as UN and World officials wanted answers to why a US covert mission base was suddenly destroyed. Chuck watched the new feeds on the tv screen of and the US Government live conference answering questions that they had no answers for. The three sat back as they tried to back track and give band aid answers that they remembered Kent telling them. 'It was only going to be a temporary solution that could go on for years.'
LA
The three dropped their gear off at Castle and made their way home. Casey locked his sniper rifle into the armoury first before leaving. Sarah set her files aside and grabbed Chuck's hand and walked up the stairs. Their thoughts were not far from Syria. Jefferies and Hendricks were killed in the bombing, Tobias was arrested for his involvement along with his god father Syed Hassan Nama. (that Kent and his team found in hiding). Amir Amed along with the right support from the CIA has accepted that this might be a battle that he might not win but at least the world knows what is really going on.
Sarah and Chuck slipped into her room of her hotel and enjoyed a long hot bath together. Chuck dried off and grabbed a pair of shorts and a t-shirt and ordered something to eat, while Sarah grabbed a pair of short short and a tank top. They sat by the window and ate in silence. They snuggled under the covers and crashed.
Chuck got up and looked at the clock. It was two in the afternoon. He called down for coffee and something to eat. Signing for the food he walked over and placed the tray down on the small table and carried the two cups over to the bed. He caressed Sarah's cheek and watched as she slowly woke up. Chuck waited till she sat up and focussed then passed her a cup. She took a sip then leaned forward and gave Chuck a kiss. "There's more." Chuck got up and walked over to the table and lifted the tray. Sarah walked over and sat down. Chuck grabbed another kiss.
They enjoyed their meal and returned to her bed and snuggled, but were distracted by what their hands and lips doing to each other. Chuck slid into Sarah as she covered them up tossing their limited amount of clothing onto the floor.
"When do we need to be back at Castle?"
"Chuck shut up and kiss me."
