It felt like hell.

But it certainly was not.

"Don't worry!" Kagome called out to the beautiful barely conscious blonde woman, though she probably could not hear her or even understand her due to differences in language, "I will get you down!"

It would be difficult, with the flames and smoke but what most enraged her were the humans who would not relent in their attacks, shouting what most likely vulgar slurs at her person.

It was not fun, waking up in the well in a totally different place that was not her home or the Sengoku Era of Japan and a language barrier, of which she had yet to narrow down (perhaps German or Polish?), but she was at least lucky she had her backpack of supplies and her weapons – a sword, a chain, powders for various things, and the Azusa Bow.

(Thank you Sango and Sesshoumaru)!

"Back off!" Kagome snarled, bashing the sheathe of her sword against the man brave enough to come forward and engage her. She sniffed when he fell unconscious and took a few steps back as most she could without stepped into the flames, 'The wood is too thick to cut through with my sword in time,' She thought, sliding her bow off her shoulder, 'I have no choice but to do this.'

Holy beings were revered in Japan in these times, but Kagome knew of witch hunts that happened in Europe and America, and so, she may be crossing some sort line she did not want to.

But to save a life, she needed to.

"The ropes," Kagome said calmly, drawing back the string as a pink glow formed into the shape of an arrow, "Hit the mark." She murmured uselessly, knowing the special ability of the Azuza Bow was that it always hit the intended target no matter what.

The gathered people were screaming, shrieking, crying, screeching, hollering, and probably demanding that she die too in the same way that the way they tried to attempt on the blonde woman, but Kagome did not care.

With a few more shots of her spiritual arrows, the ropes gave way and the blonde woman fell forward and Kagome braced herself for the woman's weight, seeing as the woman was quite a bit taller than Kagome, 'Escaping now might be a problem.'

Kagome sighed.

It was either her backpack full of food or the blonde woman because she could not carry both on her back, 'Well, the choice is obvious,' The Miko mourned for her lost modern conveniences such as ramen and chocolate bars, 'Oh well.'

"Can you hear me?!" Kagome managed to get the coughing woman on her back, who simply let out a few foreign words as her fluttering eyes finally shut as she slipped into unconsciousness, 'What did she say?'

"D-Dracul..."

'I have to make a run for it,' Kagome thought, tensing as a small space in the flames left an opening for them to escape, 'And just cut thought the people who attack.' She held her sword up as she reinforced her grip on the blonde woman, not intending to kill, but just to knock them out, 'Let's go!'

She took off at full speed.

There were gasps of horror and rage and cries of fear and anger, but Kagome tuned them out as she simply ran, forcibly shoving her sword into people who dared attack closely and it was easily enough to dodge long-range weapons such as spears and European-styled swords.

One man, dressed in priest clothing of western faith, was screaming at her in their foreign language as Kagome managed to make it to the entrance/exit of the town.

"Nu vă odihniți încă, voi două vrăjitoare, vom trimite lui Satan însuși prin propriile noastre mâini"

"Just an empty threat,"Kagome shook her head, slowing only once they reached the middle of the forest. She carefully laid the woman on the ground, stunned by her beauty for a moment before she calmly placed a hand on her shoulder, "Are you awake? Are you in pain?"

The woman moaned as her head slowly swayed side to side before hazy blue eyes opened, "N-nu o face, te rog..." And with that, she fell back into her unconsciousness once more.

Kagome sighed, making sure her 'patient' was comfortable while screaming in her mind with frustration, 'English isn't my best subject, but I wonder if any around speaks English?'

She stared at the sleeping woman, wondering if it was just the chaos around them or even perhaps an ordinary word in their language, but it was like the woman was going to say–

'I never seen a Kyuketsuki before,' Kagome wondered, snickering, 'Myouga is the closest thing, I suppose.' She clenched her hands, ready to engage in battle at all times, 'Does he really exist?'
