(warning! this fanfic is of a messed up AU I made where all the charaters are very twisted, if you do not want to read about, murder, kidnapping, abuse, insanity, and other possibly triggering topics, than this ain't the fanfic for you. Reader's discretion is advised.)

It was a warm summer night. Tord shoveled clothes into a suitcase. Tonight was the night. He was going to make it out. It was do or die. He jumped when he heard the door open and saw light spill into the room. He quickly turned to look behind him only to see Tom standing in the doorway. "Tord?" He said as if he had just awoken. "Are you really going to try to leave again?" He said, him rubbing one of his dark void-like eyes. "I have to, I can't just rot here for the rest of my life." Tord said, facing away from Tom. "I'm getting out of here or I'm going to die trying." Tom sighed before walking to his side and kneeling down. "Then I'm not letting you face this alone." Tom stated before beginning to help Tord pack his things.

Tord gave a tired smile. "How did this happen?" He asked Tom. "Huh?" Tom questioned. "I mean, how did we ever manage to get along? When we first met you hated my guts." Tord elaborated.

"Well, being trapped in a Hell house can really change you." Tom chuckled, making light of their current situation.

After they finished packing, Tord stood and prepared himself for what lies ahead. "Having second thoughts?" Tom asked. "Just a little nervous." Tord responded. "A little? From what I remember the last time you attempted a great escape you almost lost your arm." Tom said. "Ha! like that would ever happen." Tord laughed. "Alright, you ready?" Tom asked. "Ready as I'll ever be." Tord said.

The two walked down the hall, trying to remain silent. Then, the sound of a door opening could be heard behind them. Tord began to panic. "He heard us." He muttered under his breath. They turned to see Matt standing before them, his ocean blue eyes wide as he stared at the two. Tom stepped forward making sure Tord was behind him. "Wait, Matt, before you do anything rash, let's just talk about thi—" Tom began before being tackled by the strawberry blond. Tord watched as Tom struggled under Matt. "Matt, let me go!" Tom yelled. "I'm sorry, it's ether your head or mine." Matt exclaimed, trying to hold Tom down. "EDD! WAKE UP!" Matt yelled, stuggling to hold Tom down as he tried to break free.

"Tord! Run!" Tom yelled. Tord froze for a moment before shaking his head and beginning to run. He dragged his suitcase behind him as he made a run for the door. He swung it open before looking back to Tom struggling as Matt had him pinned to the ground. He looked to see freedom was in his reach before looking back at Tom again. "Just go!" He yelled. Tord stood there for a moment before turning to run. "I'll come back for you!" Tord yelled to Tom before shutting the door. He didn't waste a second to get in his car and go. While he was driving a hundred thoughts rushed into his mind. 'What am I doing?' 'Where am I even going?' 'Will Tom be okay?' 'Tom's a strong guy, he'll be fine.' 'Will he though?' He tried to shake them off and just focus on driving. He couldn't help to let it eat him up inside.

Tom struggled on the ground, Matt still holding him down. He then saw sneakers step into his line of view, it was him.

"Well, well, well, you really thought you'd get out without a hitch?"

Tom looked up at his face, his broze eyes glinted in the pale moonlight shinning through the window. "Matt, let him go." He said, Matt in response cowaring away, letting Tom go. Tom began to pick himself up off the ground. "Glad you have your little guard dog, Huh?" Tom said, trying to come off unfazed. "You know, Edd. If it weren't for him, both Tord and I would already be long gone. Oh wait, Tord is already long gone!" Tom said, mocking Edd. Edd then picked Tom up by his shirt. "Don't act so smug." Edd hissed. "You forget that you're still stuck in here." Edd reminded Tom. "Fine, lock me in the basement, kill me even! See if I care." Tom said in retaliation. Edd laughed. "I mean, I could do that, but that would be such a waste, don't you agree?" Edd said. "No, I got a better plan for you."
