Tensions were high in the 1-A dorms ever since the confrontation between Kyouka and Bakugou, not that anyone but Izuku would know why. All what Class 1-A did know was that there was a LOT of animosity between the shy rocker and the bomb boy. It didn't help that during the class training sessions that the two would actually HOPE they'd get paired together for spars, much to Izuku's chagrin.

Which is why Kyouka was looking forward to today. Today was the day Izuku was going to visit his mom and as she promised, Kyouka was going with him. Not only did the shy rocker want to show Midoriya-san that her son knew people who weren't complete perverts, but it would give Kyouka time away from the dorms and away from Bakugou. He might have helped her with the band (albeit for selfish reasons) and with the Joint Training (again for selfish reasons), but that wasn't enough for her to forgive him for everything he's done to Izuku just because the latter boy was Quirkless growing up.

Unfortunately, there was still one little problem with today and that was her fluffy green friend.

"Izuku, I'm not arguing with you on this again. I'm going with you to meet your mom," stated Kyouka as she stared at the boy with her arms crossed.

The boy blushed and started to fidget. "B-But, Kyouka! Th-This is my m-mom we're talking about!"

"So? Are you embarrassed by me?" questioned the girl. She meant it as a joke, but there was a small sliver of insecurities popping up inside of her. Was Izuku embarrassed of her? God she hoped not.

"No! I could never be embarrassed by you, Kyouka!" exclaimed Izuku, causing the girl to internally sigh in relief. "It's just…I take after my mom in terms of personality, so you can imagine what HER reaction would be if her ONLY son brought home a girl."

She did imagine it and it caused her to blush brightly and tap her earphone jacks in a shy manner. "Y-Yeah, that w-would be embarrassing. Kind of sounds like my old man, except he'd pretend to act tough to scare boys away from me. He's…overprotective like that."

"W-Wait, really?" stuttered out Izuku. He was always worried what would happen if he by some chance met Kyouka's parents. If what Kyouka was saying was true, he was now terrified at the thought.

"You have no idea," replied Kyouka with a groan. She then looked at Izuku with a frown. "What are we going to do then? I still want to go with you to meet your mom, b-but I don't want to g-give her the wrong impression."

"I'm n-not really sure, Kyouka."

The two teens stood there in silence as they thought of possible solutions. It was then Kyouka gave off a smile.

"I have an idea!"

-:-

Izuku and Kyouka made their way down to the commons room, where most of the classmates were hanging out, and over towards the door. Before the shy couple could leave though, the resident fluffy alien called out to them.

"Midori~ Kyouka-chan~ Where are you two heading off to together?" sang Mina, catching everyone else's attention.

"Well if really need to know, Mina," started Kyouka, already annoyed with the pink girl. "I'm going with Izuku to meet his mom."

All noise immediately stopped as everyone stared at the shy couple as if they just admitted they killed someone. It took everything Izuku and Kyouka had not to blush and fidget under their gaze.

"Wait, why are you going to go and meet Midoriya's mother?" asked Momo. Was there really something going on between Kyouka and Midoriya like Mina thinks?

"Because apparently the only ones of us from class who she's met are Jamming Yay and the grapist," replied the purple-haired girl. "I don't know about you guys, but there was no way I was going to let that stand."

Everyone then turned to Kaminari and Mineta with questioning looks. Kirishima was the one to speak up first.

"Dude, when did you get to meet Midori-bro's mom?" asked the redhead, looking directly at the electric boy.

"Well…"

"It was the day everyone was at the school pool," replied Kyouka in a deadpan tone, making the two perverts flinch. "While us girls planned to just have fun, these two wanted to ogle us and planned on using Izuku to gain access to the pool. Of course their plans were ruined when Izuku invited the rest of the boys for a training session."

The rest of the girls made note to thank Izuku later for inadvertently stopping the perverts as they glared at the duo.

"Wait, that was why they invited me in the first place?" asked Izuku, looking like a kicked puppy. This was the first he was hearing of this. Kyouka grabbed his hand and gave it a light squeeze to make him feel better as she and the rest of the girls' glares became even fiercer.

"I can't believe you two would resort to such trickery!" exclaimed Iida, moving his arms in a robotic manner. "Have you no shame?!"

Kaminari looked away in guilt. Thinking it over, he really did feel sorry for tricking Midoriya like that. Mineta on the other hand…

"There is nothing wrong with wanting to see half-naked girls, damn it!"

This was clearly the wrong thing to say. Before the girls could chase after the perverted little gremlin, Sero bound and gagged him before he could get away and then taped him to the wall.

"Figured you girls would want an easier target," replied the tape user with his usual grin.

"Thanks, Sero-kun!" chirped Hagakure.

Leaving the struggling grape for later, everyone turned back to Izuku.

"Midoriya! Why did you not ever bring this up if you wished to introduce your friends to your mother?" questioned Iida.

The green cinnamon roll rubbed his arm in nervousness. "I w-wanted to, but everyone tends to be b-busy with their own things and I didn't want to b-burden them."

"…I see, quite understandable," replied the speedster with a nod. He then let out a disappointed sigh. "I wish I could say I am free today, but unfortunately I had already planned on heading to the Support Department to get some upgrades to my hero suit."

"That's okay, Iida," said Izuku with a reassuring smile. It was then that Todoroki spoke up.

"I'm actually free today, Midoriya. I can come with you, if you want."

"Me too! I'm free today and I want to meet your mom, Deku-kun!" exclaimed Ochaco. Truthfully, she had planned on asking Tsuyu if she wanted to hang out today, but she still didn't like how close Deku-kun and Kyouka had become and wanted to see if there really is anything going on.

Izuku's eyes lit up with appreciation. "Thanks, Todoroki, Uraraka."

"Midoriya," spoke Tokoyami, walking up to the group. "I too wish to accompany you. If your mother is anything like you, it would be a great disservice to her if Kaminari and Mineta are the only ones she's met."

"Oh come on! I'm standing right here!" exclaimed Kaminari, looking insulted. This earned him a jab from an earphone jack. "Ow!"

"Your point?" replied Kyouka with a growl. She was not going to let Jamming Yay get off so easily. "If you weren't such a desperate horn dog, you wouldn't be the target of ridicule!"

A whimper was his only response.

After asking if anyone else wanted to come, to which they had to sadly decline as they each already had plans of their own, Izuku and the others took their leave. As the small group was making their way off of school grounds, Kyouka had to ask…

"By the way, Izuku. Where do you live anyway?"

The boy turned to his friends with a smile and simply answered.

"Shizuoka."

-:-

Ochaco felt awkward and out of place on this trip. The moment Deku-kun said they were going to Shizuoka, Todoroki and Tokoyami's eyes widened while Kyouka's lit up in what Ochaco could tell was happiness, much to the anti-gravity girl's chagrin. It turns out that all four of them were from Shizuoka. Ochaco knew this was just a coincidence, judging by how Deku-kun was surprised to learn this, but still…she felt like the odd one out since she knew absolutely nothing about where they were going.

What made it worse for the brunette was that if Deku-kun and Kyouka were from the same hometown, then that put her at an even greater disadvantage! What was she going to do?

Right now though, the small group was currently standing in front of a large apartment complex, which Izuku had said was where he and his mom lived.

"Well damn. This place is only a few blocks north from my house," said Kyouka, recognizing the area. She then turned to Izuku with a slight grin. "Too bad we never met as kids, huh, Izuku."

The boy gained a slight blush at this as he rubbed his arm in nervousness. "Yeah, that would have been nice. Of course, it would have been great to meet any of you back then!"

"Unfortunately, we can't change the past," said Shouto, although he definitely wished it was possible. "The only thing we can do is focus on the present."

"I agree with Todoroki," stated Tokoyami, looking over at the green-haired boy. "There is no point worrying over something that cannot be changed."

"Besides!" exclaimed Dark Shadow as he made his appearance. "You're all friends now and that's all that matters, right?"

"Right!" agreed Izuku with a smile.

Meanwhile, Ochaco felt her stomach churn. Why did it feel like they forgot she was there? She decided to speak up, in hopes that Deku-kun didn't forget about her.

"Ano, Deku-kun?"

"What's up, Uraraka?" asked Izuku, turning to her, a smile still on his face.

She let out an internal sigh of relief. Looks like he didn't forget about her after all. "Shouldn't we head on up to meet your mom now? She might be waiting for us."

"Oh! Y-Yeah, we probably should, shouldn't we," replied the boy with an embarrassed laugh. "Come on, everyone."

Izuku led the group up the stairs and to where he used to live. Reaching the door, he knocked and they waited for it to open. When it did open they were greeted by a short, plump woman with green hair tied up in a loose bun.

"Izuku!" greeted the woman with a smile that reminded the others of their green-haired classmate.

'So that's where he gets it from,' thought Kyouka, her mouth twitching into a smile.

"Hi, Kaachan. I hope you don't mind that I brought a few more friends," said Izuku, returning the smile

"Of course I don't mind, Izuku. You know your friends are always welcome here," replied the mother.

She led them inside, telling them to make themselves at home.

"You have a lovely home, Midoriya-san," said Ochaco with a smile as the older woman made tea for everyone.

"Thank you, dear, but there's no need to be so formal. You can call me Inko!" chirped Inko as she carried a tray out from the kitchen.

Izuku blushed slightly as he and the others each grabbed a cup. Kyouka hid her amused smirk by taking a sip.

'A cinnamon roll and his mom,' thought the shy rocker.

The teens began to converse with Inko, allowing the mother to get to know her son's friends.

"So did you kids have any other plans while here in Shizuoka?" asked Inko after a bit.

Izuku scratched his cheek. "N-Not really."

"Besides," added Kyouka with a shrug. "Considering how we're all from around here, we've kind of already seen what the city has to offer. That and none of the festivals will be happening for awhile and the Daidogei World Cup won't be happening until November."

Inko noticed how Ochaco flinched at Kyouka words. It didn't take much to tell the mother that the young brunette wasn't from around here. "Well, why not show Ochaco-chan around the city then?"

The four Shizuoka teens blinked in confusion before their eyes widened in realization.

'Shit. In all of the excitement of finding out that Izuku and I share the same hometown, I completely forgot that Ochaco was with us!' thought Kyouka in a panic.

"I'm so sorry, Uraraka! I didn't mean to make you feel excluded!" exclaimed Izuku, putting his hands together and bowing his head in apology.

"I too must apologize, Uraraka. We have done you a great dishonor," added Tokoyami, frowning at his own foolishness.

"We should have been more aware of your feelings," stated Shouto in shame.

"N-No, you guys don't need to apologize!" squeaked out the anti-gravity girl, waving her hands. "I get it. I mean if I found out one of our classmates were from Mie I'd probably act the same way!"

"That still doesn't change the fact that we sort of ignored you, Uraraka," said Izuku with a frown. "If you're willing, we can show you around the city…we just need to figure out where to start."

"Considering the time, we wouldn't be able to go to the art museum without rushing," said Shouto, looking at the wall clock.

"The same can unfortunately be said about the history museum," added Tokoyami.

Kyouka merely rolled her eyes. 'These boys. I doubt Ochaco would want to go to a museum of all places on her first visit here.'

She looked over at Izuku, finding him in deep thought. If anyone could think up a plan, it was Izuku.

The green-haired boy then lifted up his head, a solution found.

"I have an idea where we can go."

-:-

The ocean waves crashed onto the beach as Ochaco stood in awe at the beauty she was seeing.

"It's so beautiful."

Shouto and Tokoyami were also impressed considering what they knew of this beach.

"This beach used to be covered in scrap and garbage, last I had heard," said Tokoyami as he looked over Dagobah Beach.

"Someone must have finally decided to clean it up," stated Shouto, looking at the ocean. His sister will be happy since she used to come here when she was younger before it became a dump.

"Yeah, whoever cleaned it up is really amazing," said Kyouka. She glanced over towards Izuku and smirked when she saw the blush that covered his face.

Ochaco turned to the others with an excited grin. "We have to come back here one day! We can even get the whole class to come!"

"They probably would enjoy it," said Izuku, going into his muttering mode.

Kyouka nudged him, breaking him out of it. "Of course they'd enjoy it, Izuku. Although we'd have to keep the grapist on a very tight leash if we do bring them here."

"Agreed," said Tokoyami. "We do not need him making people uncomfortable when they should be having fun."

The anti-gravity girl was bouncing in excitement. She couldn't wait for their next break from classes so they could enjoy a beach day.

-:-

After the beach, the Shizuoka Squad showed Ochaco some of the lesser-known places they liked to visit from time to time before heading back Izuku's place. After saying their goodbyes to Inko with promises to visit again, the small group made their way to the train station and back to UA.

Upon arriving at the dorms, Mina and Tooru rushed over to greet them while the others in the commons room came over at a slower pace.

"Welcome back, you guys!" chirped the invisible girl. "Did you guys have fun?"

"Yeah! What was it like meeting Midori's mom?" asked the fluffy alien, her black and gold eyes shining with curiosity.

Ochaco gave off a beaming smile. "She's one of the nicest people you could ever meet! Not only that, but Deku-kun and the others took me on a tour of the city! We even went to the beach!"

The anti-gravity girl showed off some pictures she took of Dagobah Beach.

"It's so pretty!" squeaked out Tooru.

"Midori! You've been holding out on us! Why didn't you tell us such a place was in your hometown?!" demanded Mina, giving him a pout, causing him to blush slightly.

"You d-didn't ask?" replied the greenie with a nervous smile.

Mina pouted even further while Kyouka smirked.

"The best part is that next time we have a break from school we can go there!" exclaimed Ochaco with a grin.

The others cheered at the thought of a day at the beach and started to make plans for when that time comes. While the others conversed, Momo walked up to Kyouka to start their own little conversation.

"Sounds like you all enjoyed your little trip," stated the raven-haired beauty with a smile.

"Well yeah. Although I was surprised at first when Izuku told us where we were going," replied the shy rocker.

"Oh?" questioned Momo, tilting her head slightly.

A small smile appeared on Kyouka's face as she started to twirl one of her earphone jacks around her finger. "Would you believe that Izuku and I are both from Shizuoka?"

Momo's eyes widened slightly. "Wait, really?"

"Todoroki and Tokoyami, too. They were just as surprised as me," explained Kyouka. "While we did visit Izuku's mom and hung out at her place, most of the trip was spent showing Ochaco around."

"Is that a bad thing?" asked Momo, only for Kyouka to shake her head.

"No. If anything, it was to make it up to her. When we found out we all grew up in the same city we…kind of forgot that she was there."

The peach watched as her friend glanced away with a blush, embarrassed. "The important thing is that you set things right in the end."

"I guess…"

"Oh don't be like that, Kyouka," said Momo, giving the purple-haired girl a reassuring smile. She then decided to change the subject slightly. "So since you've met Midoriya's mother, does this mean you'll introduce him to your parents? It would be easy since you're both from the same hometown."

"Never going to happen," replied Kyouka in a deadpan tone, confusing Momo. "I don't need my old man scaring off Izuku."

"Would he really do that?"

"Definitely. My old man is insane like that. So I would rather keep Izuku a secret from my folks for as long as possible."

Momo then went into thought. "It almost sounds like you're embarrassed by Midoriya."

Kyouka snapped a glare towards her friend. "The only one I'm embarrassed by is my old man. I could NEVER be embarrassed by Izuku."

"And why is that?"

Amethyst eyes narrowed as they looked at the raven-haired heiress before them. "What are you trying to get at, Yaomomo?"

"Nothing!"

"…Yaomomo, if you don't tell me I'll tell Todoroki that you want him to give you a private tour the next time we all go to Shizuoka," stated the shy rocker with a hiss.

The taller girl's face lit up like a Christmas light. "You wouldn't!"

"Answer my question!"

"It's nothing! It's just…you and Midoriya have gotten pretty close lately…"

Kyouka, for her part, kept her blush down to a minimum as she glared at Momo. "I would expect this sort of thing from Mina."

"I know, but you're my friend, Kyouka. If you and Midoriya really are together, I want to wish you happiness!"

'As if Izuku would want someone like me,' thought Kyouka, her insecurities creeping up on her. She quickly quashed them down before she replied. "There's nothing going on between me and Izuku. We're just…friends."

Momo didn't necessarily believe that statement, but decided not to push it. She knew Kyouka well enough that if she wanted to talk about something she open up in her own time. This of course meant that the rich girl had to keep this information away from Mina, as the fluffy alien WOULD push it and that would only cause trouble.

"Alright then, Kyouka. Why not tell me about Shizuoka then?"

"You sure you don't want Todoroki to tell you instead?" replied Kyouka with a teasing smirk, making Momo bristle.

Maybe she should tell Mina about this after all.

-:-

The next day, Class 1-A had their usual classes and there were surprisingly no hiccups. Right now, they were all heading back to their dorms.

"Man, I honestly can't remember the last time we had a normal day of classes," said Kaminari, glad for the "break" for once.

"I know, dude. It's kind of weird," replied Kirishima. He then turned to his best friend. "What do you think, Baku-bro?"

"Who fucking cares?! We just better get some REAL training tomorrow!" growled out the bomb boy as he glared ahead.

A few feet ahead, Kyouka let out a sigh of annoyance, as she had to listen to Bakugou. She looked over at the greenie next to her.

"If he doesn't shut up, I'm jabbing him."

"Please don't," replied Izuku, giving her a worried look. "He won't show mercy and I'd rather not see you get hurt."

She pouted slightly at his words as she was really looking forward to jabbing Bakugou. She could also feel a warmth in her chest at the concern Izuku shown for her.

Class 1-A soon reached the dorms and entered. Upon entering they were surprised when they were greeted by not only All Might, but…

"K-Kaachan?!" squeaked out Izuku, shocked to see his mom there.

"Hello, Izuku!" chirped Inko, giving her son and his classmates a smile.

"Wh-What are you doing here?" questioned the boy, looking back and forth between his mom and his mentor.

"You wanted to introduce all of your friends to me, right? I figured that it would be easier for everyone if I came here and met everyone at once! So I asked Toshi if he could bring me here," explained Inko with another smile, while Toshinori gave off an apologetic look. "I even brought ingredients to make dinner for you kids!"

Izuku was blushing up a storm. This was so embarrassing!

"Wow! Thanks, Midoriya-san!" exclaimed Mina with a grin as others followed suit with thanks.

"Please, call me Inko! Now why don't you kids go change out of uniforms while I get started."

The teens headed off to their rooms to change into their casual clothes. While most of the teens rushed off, others went at their own pace.

Izuku held in a groan as he wondered what he did to deserve this. He felt something grab his hand and give a light squeeze. Turning, he found Kyouka giving him a small smile.

"I'm sure it's not that bad, Izuku."

"If what you've told me about your dad is true, you'd feel the same way if you were my position," replied the green-haired boy in a deadpan tone.

"…Okay, you have a point there," said Kyouka, avoiding eye contact. "But still…"

"Deku!" came the voice that made Kyouka's eye twitch in anger. Bakugou, glaring as he always did, came over and hissed out. "What the hell is your mom doing here?!"

"She's making us dinner. You were there when she said it," replied Kyouka in her own deadpan tone.

"Fuck off, Earlobes. Answer me, Deku!"

Before Izuku could say anything, Inko spoke up.

"Katsuki-kun! Your mother wanted me to ask you why you didn't come home with Izuku and his friends yesterday to visit," said the mother with a slight frown. "You know she misses you."

A slight growl escaped the bomb boy's throat before he schooled his features and answered. "Something unfortunately came up yesterday, Obachan, and I couldn't get any free time. I'll…I'll try to come home next time."

He got a beaming smile in return. "I'll be sure to tell her that then. She'll be so happy to see you!"

Kyouka raised an eyebrow in question as she watched the exchange. She glanced over at Izuku for answers, only to get a look that said "I'll explain later". The shy couple took this opportunity to escape to their rooms, much to Bakugou's annoyance and anger when he noticed that they were gone.

-:-

Later that night, Izuku and Kyouka sat in his room discussing earlier events. Despite Izuku's worries, dinner had gone smoothly with Inko getting to know the rest of Class 1-A. After dinner was done, Kaminari was the one who surprisingly offered to do the dishes, although Kyouka suspected it was only to get on Inko's good side.

It had soon come time for Inko to leave and when the goodbyes were said, All Might escorted her home and the teens went off to do their own thing.

"Seriously, Izuku. Your mom's cooking is some of the best I've ever had," stated Kyouka as she was laid out on Izuku's bed, content. She then looked over at the boy. "Can you cook like that?"

He blushed slightly as he looked away. "Ano, I can only really make Katsudon."

"…You do know you'll have to make it for me one day, right?" she said, making his blush even brighter. She then decided to change the subject. "So what was up with Bakugou? He actually acted civil with your mom."

"Oh, that. Well you already know that Kacchan and I grew up together. Our moms are actually friends, so we're all pretty close. Plus, my mom is one of the very few people who never put Kacchan on a pedestal and treated him like she would everyone else. I think that's the main reason why he never snaps at her like he would others," explained Izuku.

"That actually brings up another question," said Kyouka with a slight frown. "Does your mom know about how Bakugou treated you growing up?"

"…I've never really told her about any of that because I never wanted to worry her, but she's not stupid so if she does know I wouldn't be surprised," replied Izuku with a sigh.

"Seriously, why do you protect him like this? He treats everyone like shit, but he treats you even worse," said the shy rocker, sitting up to look Izuku in the eye. "So why?"

He stared right back as he answered. "I know exactly what type of person Kacchan is, but I also know what type of person he was before that. Before he got his Quirk and everyone kept praising him because of how powerful it was, Kacchan was a good person. It might be near impossible, but I have hope that I might be able to save THAT Kacchan before it really becomes too late."

Kyouka stared at her friend as she took in what he said. Once it fully processed, she shook her head and let out a sigh.

"This is why I know you'll become the Number One Hero one day, Izuku. Only you would be willing to help someone who treated you like shit for most of your life."

"I g-guess that's j-just how I am," replied Izuku, happiness swelling up in him, as someone believes in him to become the Number One Hero.

'And I wouldn't have you any other way, Izuku-kun,' thought the shy rocker as she looked at the boy fondly.

-:-

Meanwhile, Ochaco was getting ready to go to sleep. As she lay down, the nagging feeling she's had since this morning came back. It was almost as if she forgot something she was supposed to do. It was only when she was almost asleep did she finally remember as she eyes sprang open in despair.

'I forgot to see if there was anything going on between Kyouka and Deku-kun!'

-:-

Daigoro was starting to get annoyed with the giggles that were coming from Nana.

"Would you knock it off, yo?" growled out the bald man.

"Oh don't be like that. Be happy that Kyouka-chan has found someone like Izuku-chan in her life!" exclaimed the grandmother.

Another growl came from Daigoro. "That boy better stay away from her or I'm dragging his ass in here and having a long "talk" with him."

The Float Quirk user rolled her eyes. "Daigoro, it's obvious that they have feelings for each other. It'll probably take some time for them to admit it though considering it's just a small flame for now, but I can tell it'll become a raging inferno in time."

"Damn it, woman! Don't be going playing matchmaker with my granddaughter!" yelled out Daigoro as he glared at Nana.

She was unaffected by it as she made plans to push her little Izuku-chan in the right direction.

CHAPTER END

-:-

Help, I think I'm addicted to the Shizuoka Squad.

Anyway, sorry for the long wait. I had been working on a few other projects at the same time (like "Phantom Rocker: World Tour") and have been trying to avoid writer's burnout. Next chapter will come after I update "A Phantom and His Baby Girl", which the next chapter is already in-progress.
