Okay, I'll be alternating from the Life of Hunters and this story for a bit. I've actually been wanting to write something like this for a while.

Basically it's a crossover of Sword Art Online and Assassination Classroom, with what would happen if the starter trio were in SAO, with a few changes her and there.

Disclaimer: I don't own Sword Art Online or Assassination Classroom. Sword Art Online is owned by Reki Kawahara and Shueisha. Assassintion Classroom is owned by Yusei Matsui and Shueisha.

Nagisa Shiota was a rather short 15 year old. He lived with his mother and father in a regular sized apartment building in Japan. People can describe Nagisa as friendly and gentle. He didn't like loud noises or sudden scares. A seemingly normal boy. Albit, quite feminine in looks. But while Nagisa seemed fairly average, he was actually quite a fearsome foe.

"Two years, huh?" Nagisa mused. He looked at a massive book on his desk. The book was at least as thick as several dictionaries stacked on top of each other. This was his graduation album from his middle school. The strangest, yet best class he had ever gone to. The Assassination Classroom.

Three years ago, Nagisa was a part of the supposedly unteachable students of Class 3-E. But when the moon was blown up, and the one supposedly responsible decided to teach his class, the government employed the students to assassinate the monster, Korosensei. The Unkillable Teacher.

Korosensei was a strange person, but an excellent teacher. He legitimately cared with his students and did his best to show the love he had for them. The result was that the class actually felt like an actual family. As Nagisa was bullied for the majority of his life, the class was one of the few moments he actually felt cared about and appreciated.

"Nagisa! We'll be out for a while. Have fun with Sword Art Online!" his mother Hiromi called. Nagisa looked up from his computer.

"Okay! Be safe!" Nagisa called back. As his parents left, Nagisa looked at the clock on his wall, and grabbed a remote. He pressed the power button, turning on the air conditioner in his room. He grabbed a helmet shaped machine and plugged it into a monitor. He also slid in a disk for a game called Sword Art Online. The helmet was a virtual reality controller called the NerveGear. The game was a fantasy based MMORPG, which had a beta test run a few months earlier. The game and set was actually quite expensive, but from what some of his friends told him, well worth the price of the game.

"Hm?"Nagisa looked over at his desk as a sound emerged from the silence. It was his cell phone, which he picked up and put on speaker.

"Hey Nagisa! You ready to play this thing?" Nagisa smiled. On the other end of the line was his best friend Karma Akabane. Karma was one of the lucky few who got to play the beta test when it came out. He went pretty darn high too. There were a hundred floors of the game to get by, and Karma managed a few floor bosses by himself.

"You bet! I'm setting up the game now. What about the others?" Nagisa asked. He set the NerveGear on his head and patted around his body inorder for the set to calibrate itself.

"Sugino and Kanzaki had to take a rain check, Itona and Yada are working, so they're a no go. Kayano is a definite yes. Now hurry up and log on!" Karma said impatiently. Despite being a very prideful teen, Karma can be quite the kid when it comes to video games.

"Hai, hai." Nagisa rolled his eyes. He hung up before laying down on his futon and closing his aqua colored eyes.

"Link Start!" he said determinedly. Nagisa suddenly saw a burst of flashing colors, followed by several checks of the system, before the character design menu popped up. Smiling, Nagisa selected an avatar, before rapidly increasing the height. The game accepted and everything went dark again. Opening his eyes, Nagisa was greeted, not with the sight of his room as he laid down, but with the sight of a fairly archaic town standing up. Nagisa grinned.

"So this is Sword Art Online."

"Shisa? Really? That's gonna be your name?" a tall man with black hair sniggered. He was rather muscular with long hair, and golden eyes. He was wearing a crimson colored adventurer's tunic while carrying a long sword strapped onto his back. This was Karma Akabane.

"It's more creative than Dharma." Nagisa retorted. His avatar was around the same height as Karma's but looked quite different. He had a maculine face, with short, dark blue hair and a slight stubble on the chin. He was less muscular, and had an ocean blue v-neck. Strapped to his belt was decently sized Katana. His hands were covered by leather gloves.

The two were standing in a large plains where they were waiting for Kayano. Their attention was eventually caught by a tall lady waving her hands and calling them.

"Hey! Hey!" she called. She ran up to the two. "I'm guessing that you two are Nagisa and Karma?"

"Yep. Is that you Kayano?" Karma asked.

"Yep! What do you think of my avatar?" Kayano asked happily. Her avatar was also quite tall, long yellow hair cascading down her back. She also had a considerable bust, being held back by a lime-green shirt. She held a long knife, and wore fingerless gloves.

"Hm, not bad. I'll send you a party invite." Nagisa said. He swiped the air with his right hand and selected the invite option. As Kayano accepted the invite, Nagisa saw that her character name was "Kaede."

"You're using your real name?" Nagisa asked. He stopped. "Oh wait, it's not your real name."

Kayano smiled and stuck out her tongue. Her real name was Akari Yukimura, but she went by the name Kaede Kayano during her time in the Assassination Classroom. In fact, all three of them were friends who attended the Assassination Classroom together. Kayano and Karma both were a part of the beta test, as they had more money than Nagisa.

"Well, with that out of the way, what skills did you guys select?" Kayano asked. When the game starts, they get to choose two skills, and have an option of equipping a third one when they reach level 6. "I decided to choose Parry and One Handed Dagger."

"I went for One Handed-Sword and Armor Pierce." Karma replied.

"I decided on One Handed-Curved Blade and Battoujutsu." Nagisa said. Not that he actually needs the skills from the game, he already was an excellent kendo fighter in real life.

"Well, let's start playing now. Let's go for level five by the time we log out." Karma said. He led the two to the best hunting grounds the first floor had. There were Frenzied Boars everywhere.

"Frenzied Boars are pretty much slime in other games, so they should be easy." Kayano said. Nagisa pointed to another pair of players, where one of them was getting their butt kicked. Kayano sweatdropped. "Should be easy."

Nagisa smirked and unstrapped his katana sheath. Holding it in a certain position, he grabbed the blade and crouched over. A boar noticed and charged at him. Nagisa dashed towards the boar, and in one fluid motion, drew his blade, slashed the boar, sheathed his blade, and skidded to a stop. The boar squealed as it fell to its side and shattered into particles. Nagisa looked up and saw that he had gained Exp and Col.

"Finally, somewhere I can use these skills and not worry about any negative repercussions!" Nagisa chirped. He looked at Karma and Kayano, both of whom were attacking the boars and killing them one by one. He turned to another boar and crouched again. This time, he held the blade at a higher angle and crouched lower. The blade glowed inside the sheath and he dashed. The blade flashed, cleaving the boar in two.

"Nice Nagisa!" Nagisa turned to Karma, who had seen the entire thing. "Be honest now. Which felt better to use? Your Iaijutsu training or ingame skill?"

"My Iaijutsu training is actually more useful, since I attack without using any mana, but the Sword Skill was more powerful. I guess it depends on what I'm fighting." Nagisa answered. He turned to another boar and charged. The boar lept at him, only to get impaled.

"Whew." Karma collapsed on the ground. He and Kayano had managed to make it to the five level mark and went up to level seven. He looked at the setting sun in amusement. "They really want over the top with the graphics of this game huh?"

"I think it looks nice." Kayano replied. She sheathed her knife. She looked at Nagisa, who was still slashing away at the boars. He had gone up to level eight, and was still going.

"He's having a little too much fun, don't you think?" Karma followed her gaze and looked amusedly at the former-assassin.

"Is he okay?" the two turned and saw the two players from earlier. One wore a red bandana around their head and held a katana. The other was a handsome man with a short sword.

"Yeah, he's just, coping with something. I think?" Kayano answered.

"Oh-kay? My name is Klein, this is Kirito. You guys are pretty good. Were you two in the Beta test like Kirito?" Klein asked.

"Yep. I'm Kaede, that's Dharma." Kayano introduced herself and Karma. She pointed at Nagisa, who was walking back towards the group. "That's Shisa."

"Sister?" Klein asked, confused.

"No. Shee-sa. It's a combination of my first and family name." Nagisa answered as he reached the four.

"Oh, so is mine." Kirito spoke.

"Nice." Nagisa sheathed his katana. "This game is awesome. I actually get to use my Kenjutsu, Iaijutsu, and Kendo training."

"Oh you do kendo?" Klein asked. "Can you teach me?"

Nagisa opened his mouth to respond, but was cut off as he was enveloped by light. The group looked around, startled.

"What the-teleport sequence?" Kirito grunted in surprise. The group dissolved and found themselves in the Town of Beginnings, the spawn point of the players and first stage of the game.

"What are we doing here?" Nagisa asked the others. He grabbed the sheath of his katana, ready for a fight. "Is it some kind of event?"

"I don't know, this never happened during the beta test." Kirito answered. They looked around warily. More and more people were teleporting into the town. Murmurs were breaking out as the players tried to figure out what was going on.

"Hey what's going on!?" people began talking.

"Look!" Kayano pointed at the sky. There was a single red hexagon blinking in the middle of it.

"What's that?" Klein asked in confusion.

"Well Klein, I believe the locals call it, a hexagon? Don't know if I'm saying it correctly. Gonna have to get back to you on that one." Karma snarked. Nagisa stifled a laugh at the sass.

"F*ck off." Klein grumbled. The hexagon rapidly multiplied, spreading quickly across the sky. A thick, red liquid oozed out between the hexagons and poured out.

"And now the sky is bleeding." Karma deadpanned.

"Really going for that M rating huh?" Nagisa snarked. The blood-like substance gathered together and out emerged a giant, robed man. The hood was drawn over the head, obscuring the face.

"Huh, he looks like That Man from Guilty Wheel!" Nagisa pointed out. Klein looked at him questionably.

"Which man?" he asked. Nagisa opened his mouth to reply, only for the hooded man to cut him off.

"Hello. Welcome to the world that is Sword Art Online. I am Kaiyaba Akihiko, the creator of Sword Art Online. At this point, many of you have seen that the logout button that should be in your menu is missing."

"What?" Nagisa gasped. He swiped his hand through the air and checked. Sure enough, the button was missing.

"This is not a faulty error. You all have been trapped in this world. In my world. You can not leave, nor will you leave." the figure said ominously.

"What is he talking about?" Kayano asked in disbelief. The man continued to speak, ignoring the rising unease of the players.

"Another thing. In your inventory, you should receive a gift, from me." Kaiyaba said. Nagisa shakingly raised his hand and swiped. He looked into his inventory, and saw a new item in it. Selecting it, the item materialized itself in his hand.

"A mirror?" he mumbled as he looked into it. Suddenly his face began to glow. The entire court shined brightly, nearly blinding him.

"Shisa?" Klein's voice spoke. Nagisa looked in its direction, only to see that where Klein stood, a younger man with spiky hair stood. Nagisa looked down and saw that he was shorter. He looked into the mirror and saw his short, dark blue hair had been replaced with his long teal hair, and his adult masculine face had been replaced with a much more pale, femimine face. He looked at Karma and Kayano, and saw that they were also in their original forms. Karma looked younger, with pale skin, shorter crimson hair, and golden eyes. Kayano also looked much younger, but while Karma was still around the same height as his avatar, Kayano was much smaller. She had hazel eyes and green hair with brown roots. She also had her much smaller bust, much to her chagrin.

"Wait Shisa, you're a girl?" Klein asked in disbelief. Nagisa scowled as Karma snickered.

"No, I'm a boy. I just so happen to look like a girl." Nagisa growled. He turned to Kirito, who also was much younger, with much shorter hair and a more femimine face, though his was more a result of his youth, rather than him actually looking femimine.

"Kirito, any idea how the game knows what we look like?" Nagisa asked the boy. Kirito thought for a moment, before he replied.

"The Nerve Gear covers our entire face and head, so that could be how it knows our face. But what about the body?"

"Didn't it have us touch all around our body in order to calibrate the system to our regular functions or something?" Klein asked, touching his elbows. Kayano grunted in annoyance.

"Well if I had known that it would've turned me back like this, I would've made it so that I'd have a bigger bust." she muttered.

"You look fine Kayano. I actually like this body more than your actual body." Nagisa complimented her. He was oblivious to her blush as he turned his attention back to Kaiyaba, who continued to talk after the murmurs quieted down a bit.

"The only way out is to play the entirety of this game. Once you managed to beat all 100 floors of Aincrad, you may leave the game. However, should you die in the game, you will die in real life as well. The NerveGear has been set to release a microwave that will fry your brain, killing it instantly. Should anyone attempt to remove the NerveGear, the microwave will still go off. As a result of parents and loved ones ignoring this, over a thousand players have already died."

Gasps broke out as Kaiyaba showed images of multiple families mourning the death of their relatives. Nagisa flashed back to him fighting boars, only this time, the boar struck him down, causing his body to shatter. The image of his convulsing body on his futon, before settling down, raced across his mind. He gasped in shock and wobbled where he stood. Karma shouted at Kaiyaba in anger.

"Why are you doing this!" he yelled. Kaiyaba ignored similar yells as he collapsed back into his robes and disappeared.

"This way!" Kirito's voice broke Nagisa out of his funk as he dragged Klein out of the crowd. The three assassins followed the two out into an alley, where Kirito turned to them and displayed his map. He explained to them how there were good hunting spots over the next town, and that they would be able to get good drops before anyone else.

"Sorry Kirito, we can't do that." Kayano apologized. She gestured to her and Karma. "As beta testers, we need to give out our information to everyone else. Tips, hints, locations, quests, everything."

"What? But that might make it harder for us to survive." Kirito asked worryingly. Karma rested his hand on Kirito's shoulder.

"You don't have to. But we're making a choice." Karma reassured.

"Besides, this is kind of a familiar scene." Kayano said quietly. Nagisa nodded his head slowly. During their time in the Assassination Classroom, the class had gone through several events where there seemed to be no chance at survival for certain people and even the entire class. First, an island where half the class was poisoned and were threatened to be killed. Second, a runin with an assassin who called himself the Reaper. Finally, the day their Korosensei died.

"I have to stay too." The four looked at Klein, who smiled apologizing at Kirito. "My friends are playing too. I need to be there for them."

Kirito was quiet, looking down on the ground. He looked up, steely resolve in his eyes. He swiped at his screen for several seconds. A map popped up in front of Nagisa, startling the assassin. The map had several locations marked, with the words, 'from a beta tester' on the top corner.

"Okay, I did my part. But that's all I will do for now. I'm sorry, but I want to survive." Kirito said determinedly.

"The desire to live isn't selfish Kirito. It's only selfish if you sacrifice someone else's life to save your own. You're helping people with this information. You're not selfish." Nagisa comforted. He gave Kirito a quick pat on the shoulder, before turning to Klein. "You going to be okay by yourself?" he asked.

"I won't be alone. I'll have my buds with me. I ran a few guilds in other games, so I'll be fine!" Klein replied. He turned to Kirito. "Will you be fine by yourself?"

"Yeah." Kirito said. He began walking away.

"Hey Kirito!" Klein called. Kirito looked back. "You look better like this. More natural."

"Heh," Kirito grinned slightly. "You look better with that scruffy face too! You guys also look cooler like that too." He replied before running off.

Nagisa looked after him, frowning, before he turned back to his friends with an apologetic look on his face. Karma and Kayano smiled understandingly at their friend.

"You just can't help but want to help, don't you?" Karma teased. He held up his fist, Nagisa bumping it. "You better not die. You still need to help Sakura get through college."

"Yeah, and you still need to teach other kids as well." Kayano said. She hugged Nagisa tightly, before releasing him. "We're on your friend's list, so contact us if anything happens."

"Naturally." Nagisa smiled. He ran after Kirito, looking back to see the other three gone. He continued running, running out of the town and spotted Kirito running in the distance. He sprinted after Kirito, yelling for his attention.

'No matter what, I will survive this hell!' Nagisa thought to himself.

So yeah. Like I said at the top, I'll be alternating between this and the Life of Hunters. I won't upload as much, since my mom is restricting my computer time. I'll do my best though!

This is, once again, a retelling of Sword Art Online with the starter trio in it, and several differences. Tell me which part of the show you guys think I should change, since a lot of people seem to dislike SAO. And if you're wondering why I keep calling Karma, Nagisa, and Kayano the starter trio, One: they were the first three bounty hunters in TLoH and two: red, green, blue. Pokemon trio. Need I say more?
