Kai: *slaps his head* Now what?

Simy: Just wait? Will you?

Kai: *nods blatantly* Yeah, I've no other option!

The night sky was thundering literally, the breezes were coolly spurting and flowing alternative within minutes. The sky seemed vast and endless, spreading its elegant darkness across the world.

A slate haired teen sighed restlessly as he was sighting out from his balcony. It seemed to rain anytime.

"The entire plan is cancelled now!" he almost shot to himself and tersely smiled, almost feeling nauseating.

His phone dialed itself by his calloused hands and he waited for the other person to pick, "Hey Kai,"

"Hn." He replied,

"Hn? Have you called me to say 'Hn' ?" The girl on the other side asked snidely.

"Ahmn," he cleared his throat, "You do one thing, take along everyone with you on your bike and come here like we had planned," Kai said in confidence, gulping in the nonsense in his idea.

"The plan was to meet at your place, not that I pick everyone in this probable any-time-it-would-rain scenario," Sam said in sarcastic chum, feeling curious.

"No, no, it wouldn't rain." He said nervously chuckling.

"So?"

"So you bring everyone along." Kai smirked edgily.

"Mention those 'everyone' names," She baffled back softly.

"Pick Max, nearest to your home; collect Ray who's stuck in the store. Pick Tyson from his home, Hilary might be there too. Daichi, Kenny and Gramps may also add up. That's all" Kai said thinking gradually with zany tone.

"I guess, a few more can be accommodated on my bike?" She said incredulously with an anime vein appearing on her side forehead, "Don't hesitate, mention few more people, I'll pick them as well."

"Uh-"

"I will find few hawkers or strangers going on; I will add them too. And it must be hot at cold at your place; I will bring a heater as well, anything else, Mr. Hiwatatari?" She asked tersely.

"T-that sounds enough. You just come here quickly," Kai said with nervous chuckle.

She hung down the phone and sighed. It was pouring outside. How come she was going to his place or say, pick everyone and go to his place. She gulped inwardly and thought to double-trick their captain.

She called everyone and told them to be ready and said that she was arriving soon to pick them. She took few large water-bottles and strode out wearing a casual outfit with a thick jacket and blue boots.

She took her mom's car after soughing permission and picked everyone gradually as per their spots till they arrive their destination.

"He seriously said you to pick us on that bike?" Ray asked incredulously.

"Must have been kidding," The blunette laughed,

"That isn't like our Captain, I'm sure he must have been jaded thinking that it's probably not possible for us to arrive there," Max suggested. Kenny sighed defeatedly and cuddled against Daichi who was snoring still from the time they dumped him in the car.

The window panes of the car were closed, everyone were smothered with caps, jackets, shoes, boots, sweaters, coats and what not. The proximity gave the heat needed.

"What's the plan then, Sam?" Ray giggled knowing very well that she wasn't going to leave that joke unanswered.

"I have thought about it, but I'm not sure you will comply with me or not," She said edgily.

"W-What have you thought?" Max and Tyson asked stuttered as they saw a glint of mischief in Sam's eyes.

"We can cuddle into each other in this car as long as we want," She smiled calmly as she drove, "But, when we reach his home, I've got this water bottles which we will pour upon us making a facade that we indeed obeyed what he told me to do and then," She grinned laughingly, "WE will pretend to be angry and launch water-bottles at him as well!"

"Nonsense!" Daichi cackled in his sleep. Ray blinked at him.

"It sounds non-sense, indeed," Ray said musingly.

"What do you think; that we won't catch a cold after this little act?" Kenny asked. The thundering grew louder

"Might be, but guys a little fun wouldn't hurt?" she said but she herself sneezed right that moment.

"Okay guys, we can do one thing," Tyson quieted everyone, "We can pretend to be angry and then command him to give us clothes. He would give us definitely and we woudn't even catch a cold in that short time! And then we would play the game only upon him!"

"Awesome!" Daichi yelped happily as yawned and woke,

"Were you hearing us, Daichi?" Max asked,

"I was dreaming what you've planned. Anyways, I wouldn't fit in his clothes," Daichi twisted his lips and complained,

"You can probably adjust?" Tyson said queerly.

"Why not?" Kenny said half-heartedly with a soft glare.

"Guys, please agree to this, we are almost there," Sam reminded,

"Okay!" Everyone cheered in unison

….
They parked the car in cellar quietly.

Sam took the bottles and gave each of them one.

"These bottles are warm," Max smirked pleasurably.

"Of course," Sam smiled.

They reluctantly poured the water on themselves, made sudden angry faces and hugely knocked on his door-front!

They could hear the sound of the footsteps treading, and pacing faster in an eagerness to open.

Kai was perplexed at their angry faces, first. His next reaction was a gasping mouth which he closed quickly as he saw their wet clothes, and his browns rose and plummeted in shock and incredulity seeing all of them and wet.

"You all haven't come on Sam's bike, right?" He said calmly, but he was regretting very much right now seeing their angry faces about to launch at them anytime.

"You guessed absolutely wrong," Daichi said closing his eyes peacefully with façade of storming false anger.

"We obeyed you," They bowed before him as they said in unison and shivered. Kai hitched as they shivered and quaked. The wind was already harsh and uncaring- Cold.

"Come in, idiots, before you catch cold," kai said.

They glared back accusingly and entered.
Kai head-palmed and looked at them tensed and jerked his shoulders.

"Kai, would you take the courtesy to offer us your clothes?" Tyson said sheepishly.

"He should!" Sam scowled.

"I'll get them," Kai lead them to his dressing room, "Follow me,"

They entered his room, "Be careful, no over-acting!" Daichi mumbled. Kenny nodded. They plodded hastily in Kai's room.

"Get something for me too." Sam asserted to Kai. He nodded. She smiled lightly as she gazed at him.
I still like the way you pretend not to care.

After so many trials, Ray got a top and trouser easily, Tyson was the second one, Kenny and Daichi wore Kai's shorts and his T shirts which landed on their knees. They looked hilarious.

"You needn't needed to be too tall, Kai," Daichi grumbled as his top landed till his knees and the shorts seemed imperfect.

Kenny folded the lower bottom of the T shirt so as to make it look decent.

"Its looking fine, Kenny" Tyson grinned. Kenny frowned.

"Uhmn, you can take these," Kai offered Sam a cream T shirt which double fitted her and a baggy grey trousers which she had to fold at the bottom.

Nonetheless, she accepted. She changed in the washroom.

"Glad that you offered," she said hesitantly as she sneezed.

"Uh sorry," Kai mumbled.

"You said something?" Sam blinked.

Kai shrugged a no. You caught a cold, Sam. All because of me.

"Shall we start the game now?" Kenny asked.

"Yes, but the only change is " Max smirked wickedly, "All truths and dares are for Kai, today," He jabbed a finger in air towards the captain. Sam agreed quickly and frowned comically at Kai.

"Nice idea," Ray chanted, "Since we ALL traveled all the way on that cramped bike in a stormy weather for YOU, you can do us this favour," Ray grinned triumphantly.

"Why not? He will," Tyson smirked.

Kai looked little scared but he didnt allow the emotions to come up. He defeatedly sighed. "Okay," He seemed reluctant but still he gave up.

"I'm first!" Tyson grinned fully, "Truth or dare?" Everyone sat in a neat circle and they were excited for this game to begin.

"Truth," Kai said, his eyes slightly flashing.

"Let's see that spark while you answer my question," Tyson smirked.

"Okay, ask away,Ty," Max said,

"What it takes for anyone to make you laugh heartily, I mean like wildly and crazily!"

"Seriously!" Sam said horrified.

Kai rolled his eyes, "It takes nothing. I've never laughed like that, Tyson."

"Still," Tyson urged.

"Well, on a serious note, it would be only when I've been able to render the evil weak and helpless," Kai pondered.

"That's scary," Kenny shrugged. Others nodded.

"Next chance, it's me," Sam giggled.

"NO! It's me!" Daichi interrupted.

"Ugh, continue," Sam sighed.

" Truth or Dare!" Daichi yelled happily. Kai frowned, "Truth,"

"Nice choice," Kenny commented.

"Guess who is missing here and why?" Daichi asked.

Kai looked at them, "Is it Hilary?"

"Yep!" Daichi said, "But why?"

Kai again looked at them, and Tyson looked a little pale and sad.

"Probably because Tyson had an argument with her?" Kai guessed.

"You nailed it!" Tyson said sarcastically.

"Now it's me!" Ray said, "Truth or dare?"

"Dare,"

"Good." Ray smirked, "Tyson's and Daichi's turns were boring. This is gonna be interesting. "

Kai scowled slightly.

"Go and call Tala, and pretend to talk in Sam's voice and tell that you've a crush on him," Ray grinned ear to ear.

Everyone laughed and slapped their hands on stomach. Sam scowled at Ray furiously but was helpless to say anything.

Kai sighed and was feeling funny. He almost laughed but still the anger and helplessness in his demeanor was evident.

He dialed Tala's number. "Put it on speaker!" Tyson roared.

Kai sighed. The bell was ringing and it played Baby song. Everyone giggled silently.
"Hey," Tala greeted first.

Kai gulped down as he had to start trying to speak in Sam's voice. Sam stared at him and raised an eyebrow in utter curiosity.

"Hey sweetheart, " Kai screeched in a sweater tone, far similar from Sam's. Everyone dropped and held their stomach preventing their inevitable laughter from roaring. Do I sound like that? Sam was horrified.

"Huh?" Tala gasped, "W-Who is this?"

Ray was quaking in silent laughter, preventing himself from going insane hilariously.

"I think Tala is confused," Kenny mumbled.

"Nooo, I think, Tala is already flushing," Tyson commented chuckling hard.

"Aww sweetie, c'mon, don't pretend you haven't recognized my voice," Kai said coyly trying hard to get that sweet, exaggerating shy and girlish tone. He himself felt murderously furious inside for doing this.

"Wait, let me guess," Tala said nervously, he gave a bare laugh,

"This is Salima, right?" Tala asked.

Sam bursted out in uncontrollable fits of laughter. Ray blanched and paled.

Kai himself smirked triumphantly, seeing that the tables had turned now.

"T-This is incontrovertibly Tala, " Max chortled.

"He is gone mad," Ray tittered.

"Yes baby, you guessed right," Kai continued playfully, even more confident in that coy.

"Enough with the call, the dare is over," Ray simmered.

Kai gladly ended, "I'll call you soon, sweetness"

Everyone unboundedly and heartily laughed with huge guffawing except Ray who was scared what if actually Tala considered that voice of Salima's. He shook his head from the thought.

"My turn!" Tyson said.

"Hey, yours is done already!" Kenny frowned.

"Its a second time, again." Tyson smiled.

"I choose truth," Kai said meticulously.

"Of course, I knew it," Tyson smiled evilly, "Tell me, why were you so eager to play with us that you asked Sam to do that?" Tyson asked,
Oh shit.

"I've thought to reveal a few answer from you people from this game and I was besides, besides very bored," He said with twisted lips and annoyance.

"Ohh!" They hooted.

"But," Tyson sympathized, "The tables have turned, " He grinned. Kai glared at him.

"Its me now!" Daichi howled happily.

"Yes, Daichi,"

"No, it's me!" Kenny protested,

"Its Kenny now," Kai declared.

"Thanks!" Kenny smiled,

"I chose Dare," Kai mentioned, looking away from Sam purposely.

"Ask something," Sam said,

"Choose either Tyson or Sam." Kenny sniggered, "And you've to lift either of them and whirl around for a minute cutely," Kenny stated. Kai blanched. Tyson and Sam laughed hesitantly, not so happy.

Kai looked nervously at both of them. He jerked imaging that Tyson is sure a huge personality to be lifted, and as for Sam... she blushed slightly as he examined her from distance.

I'm not that heavy or heafty I guess, Kai.

"I choose," Kai said unsurely, "T-Tyson,"
Sam's tightly closed eyes spooked open at his answer. Huh?

Tyson gasped and he was tensed. Everyone hooted, especially Daichi, sensing that Kai will fail, and will drop him in the midst. Tyson shook his head in utter disinclination.

"Why me!" He cried.

Tyson hitched mentally as he imagined himself being whirled. Kai tensed his muscles, preparing to lift his friend.
Tyson gulped as Kai lifted him. Kai's muscles hardened due to the weight. Everyone started laughing and Kai was already halfway gone out of energy within 20 seconds. He continued twirling him and he was getting giddy. As the 60 seconds ended, he gently dropped Tyson, much to everyone's surprise.

"Good job, Kai," Kenny commented.

Sam glared at the spectacled boy. Kai sighed heavily. He looked drained off.

"Tyson, you should seriously go on diet plans!" Kai said sharply.

Tyson flushed.

"Now it's me," Sam smiled.

"No!" Kai said, "Its Maxie,"

Max grinned, "So Kai-"

"Dare!" Kai shouted.

"Ohho man, okay. Please use your face paint to paint your eyelashes! I'm sure you're gonna look cute!" Max said with heart eyes.

Ray blurted in laughter. Sam giggled nervously.

"Hey, its Grandpa, " Tyson lifted his ringing phone.

His fine face was gone worsening pale as the seconds passed. "Okay Grandpa, sure." Tyson sighed defeatedly.

"What's up!" Max asked. Kai smiled triumphantly. The game ends.

"He has told us to arrive home right now," Tyson said gloomily.

"Whatever, but Kai, hurry up. The paint's drying," Max smirked. Sam sneezed, sniffling slightly.

"Caught a cold?" Daichi asked. Kai eyed them.

"I guess, Daichi," Sam whispered.

Kai painted his eyebrows meticulously and allowed them to dry.

Sam stared at him as he was done. "You look gorgeous." Max smirked.

Kai looked at Sam who was staring stupefied.

Kai smirked at her. She looked away.

"Okay, guys, we need to leave now," Tyson reminded.

"It has stopped raining already," Ray noticed.

"Still, its long way from here," Max thought.

"We can use Sam's car, can't we?" Daichi yawned. Kai frowned at him. Everyone looked horrified at Daichi's words.

"Car?" Kai looked at Sam. She nervously hid her face. Kai looked at them and at their colored off faces and they apprehensively got up, keeping their hands ahead for defense.

"Oh, so you guys fooled me," Kai said dangerously after being shocked.

They ran towards the door and Kai ran back. Sam was nervously standing at her place, looking at the entire unfolded scene.

"Max, Run!" Tyson cried, looking back momentarily at Kai who was running faster.

"Tyson, you've the car's keys, right?" Kenny asked.

"Its with me," Ray said as they exited the main door and Daichi was the last to leave. They thundered downstairs. Kai stopped and smirked. I'll show them tomorrow while training. But how come they were wet?

Kai closed the door after entering his house. He looked at Sam who stood enthralled and scared.

He smirked amusingly as he walked towards her. She took steps back until her back collided against the wall. He pinned her against the wall, standing in dangerously low proximity with one hand palming against the wall. She looked at his eyes, tensed and heart jolted.

"Aw sweet. So this was your plan, huh?" He asked. Sam frowned frighteningly and her heart raced.

"That says," Kai answered.

"So how come you all were wet?" He asked.

"Sir, there are few water bottles lying outside, before the door." A maid came asking.

"Hn," Kai smirked, "That explains. Leave!" He ordered.

The maid immediately left.

"Now, I'll ask you few questions that you've to answer in all honesty," Kai declared triumphantly.

Sam nodded. She could feel his hot breath on her already and she was heatedly flustered.

"Why is it that you obeyed me when I told you to come here?" He asked.

She gasped slightly, "Ah," she couldn't think of anything. "I-I wanted to play the game as well, Kai," she said in stutters.

"Lie. Why is that you blushed almost five times during the game?"

Sam gulped in, her eyes almost moistening as she didn't want to reveal the real answer.

"B-Because, I was having cold, I wasn't blushing. I was just r-red," she answered.

"Good lie. Next question, anyway," Kai heaved an agonized sigh as he leaned his head against the wall beside her, beside her shoulder, his hand on wall on the other side of her shoulder intact.

"Why is it that you still feel so shy to confess me?" He asked. Her eyes filled unknowingly and her heart thudded.

Kai retreated from leaning against the wall and looked at her deeply.

"If you're successfully done embarrassing me, I'll leave," she said tearfully and slightly angry. She scowled at herself and curled to sneeze. She sniffled.

"Sam...?" Kai asked, "You okay?" He was serious. He didn't know she would probably cry. Sam wasn't exactly crying. But her eyes were slightly wet and her face was red.

"I should leave,"she said, "As for your last question, it's your pride and attitude that makes me feel that," she shook. "I've come here to take a chance to ask you if you like me, as for your 1st question. I guess it answers your 2nd one as well."

She moved from the spot to head towards the door, "Sam wait," Kai held her wrist.

"What?" She said harshly.

He softly held both her hands, "Sam...um, I never intended to make you feel embarrassed, trust me,"

"You play hard to get, Kai," Sam said quietly.

Kai stopped at her words.

"I'm leaving," Sam walked away.

"I love you. I've feelings for you as well. I just don't show. And it's never too late to admit this." he said flatly like it sounded but it held emotions as well.

Sam stood frozen. "Would you still say that I play hard to get?" He asked.

She stared at him. "I still didn't thought that you were entirely clueless," Kai smiled in little nostalgia.

"You don't, " she mumbled bewildered.

He walked towards her keeping a sharp eye contact. She tensed visibly, "Don't worry. It's not like I'm gonna kiss you to prove my words," Kai said, "I know you'll never like that,"

"What do you want from me?" She asked.

"For you to believe what I said " he completed.

She turned and stopped, heaving mentally.

"Is it too hard to believe me or is it too hard upon you to say back those three words?" He asked in a defeated and hurt tone. She gasped. "Do I have to-"

Before he would say anything, she veered from her position and abruptly turned to hug him tightly. Kai stopped.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah! I do, I do love you, Kai!" Sam confessed, holding him for life. She seemed to be crying now.

"Sam, its okay." Kai held her softly, "Sam... Sam, look at me," Kai told her softly.

"No, I won't!" She said and buried her head into him.

"Sam, it's okay." Kai assured, "I promise I'll never tease you. Look at me,"

She lifted her head gently and her head rose. Slowly she met her eyes. She could see how absolutely gorgeous he looked with those deep blue eyelashes. There were no terse feelings in his eyes. All the hurt has vanished. There were no traces of embarrassing her. He smiled, smiled heartily at her.

"Now, you believe me?" He asked gently.

"Hmm," she nodded. He softly leaned in, "Allow me, please," he said and gently kissed her. Sam felt peaceful and pacified. The tension finally left her. Her phone rang and she unfortunately had to break the moment.

She lifted the call.

...

"I've to leave, I took mom's car. I forgot!" She panicked.

"Didn't Tyson dropped your car at home?"

"I'll check that out. I'll leave now," Sam hurried.

"Calm down, I'll be with you. Come in my car," Kai offered.

Before she would object, she noticed that the rain has started again,

"I don't want your cold to worsen," Kai smiled. She flustered and nodded.

He held his hand before they strode out.

...

The next day was tedious, a hell ride for bladebreakers minus Kai, Sam and Hilary as their training was a torturous punishment by Kai.

"Thankgod, I wasn't part of this," Hilary laughed.

"Shut up, Hils!" Tyson scowled. "I already apologised to you for yesterday. You don't need to be hard,

"This is all because of Daichi!" Max growled at the little red-head.

"Oh yeah, I know." Hilary smiled at him, "I've prepared tasty cookies for you Tyson, don't keep me waiting,"

Tyson sighed. He smiled at her.

"Kai, come soon." Sam said to him with suppressed happiness. He nodded with a loving smile.

A/N: I heartily hope that you liked this shot, Eza. Oh, Sam is my OC. I've used her in "If I haven't loved you" one-shot as well.
