The story happens in 2006, I guessed randomly and hoped it worked out. Harry(L) is born in 1992, Light being born in 1987. L is 13 (turning 14) in the story and Light is 19.

Me and my friend actually had a discussion on whether or not Light would kill L if L was a child, like 13-ish years of age. I said that Light wouldn't care and he would still kill L, my friend agreed, but said that the task force could have leaked L's age to the public, and could have the Kira supporters against Kira for killing a child, I find this an interesting theory.

Anyway. Enough rambling (sorry about that, I do that sometimes)
