So I got this idea from a dream and I wanted to try to write that out before I forget it. So here I am with my first story published ever!
Disclaimer: This is a crossover between Harry Potter and Gravity Falls, as such, I do not own the rights from them. This story is obviously for fun, so enjoy!
Warnings: Half canon story. Bill Cipher with amnesia (sort of Ooc but not much. In time). Harry being aware. Apathetic, evil and manipulative Dumbledore.
Chapter 1
Reform

Sixty degrees that come in threes.
Watches from within birch trees.
When life was first created through the cosmos, gray and black greeted him.
"Where I am?" marked his sound -voice, corrected the whispers- noting the echo from which it came. The bright light reflected each pronunciation in sync, displaying his triangulated shadow on the ground. Wait, triangle? It's that what it is? What was light and shadow? Who was he?
"Hello?" his voice sounded again, filling him with something called confusion. "It's.. someone there?"
The newborn being received no response, and another thing known as despair invaded him. Why was he here? Another doubt arose in his mind as he pose his gaze through the crack of the world, seeing only nothingness between gray and black around him. What was his role in this place? Where is this?
The answer came instantly with a headache, causing something black to fall from his head. A hat, recalled the conscience, while his small and black hands held what made him see everything. Eye, remarked again.
The whispers from early grew louder, the hum of the effort to listen to them made him dizzy. But as quickly as it came they vanished, leaving him to breathe. From that clash of thoughts, only five words remained.
Dreams.. Demon..
Mindscape.. Immortal..
Humanity..
"Mindscape?" he asked to himself, putting on the hat, which seemed to be his, floating towards the front with folded arms. "Dreams? Hu..manity? What are those things?"
The entity noticed how empty the place looked like, without any other color to highlight it. It would be great to decorate it though.
"Oh well, I'll be able to find out ... eventually"
And thus began his first walk, or fly, towards his new eternal life.
Saw his own dimension burn.
Misses home and can't return.
Seeing that Dimension creating itself from nothingness until becoming into a beautiful paradise full of stars and planets was the purest thing that the entity has been able to see from the place where he now lived. The other side of reality.
He liked watching the planets form and destroy at the same time, creating new views of them across the galaxy. Black holes were his greatest fascination. Where would the vortex lead to? To another dimension? Or perhaps nothingness again? Will there be a universe on the other side? Maybe someday he will know.
The new being loved looking the planets, all with a special touch that made them unique and different. But what surprised him were its inhabitants. Many of different shapes and sizes, colors and aspects, living together or sailing against the world. It was amazing how they, so similar, could have several different aspects that, like the planets, made them unique on their kind.
Flying through the cosmos is exhausting, even boring, but for his eternal curiosity had no limits. Everything he could see in his eye - that's how he ended up accepting to call his notorious living part -was recollected by himself. Many species that he liked to name and any planets that have also come to see into existence filled the gap of the Mindscape.
But of all those, there was one that could not help but marvel and fill an entire place of his knowledge: Earth.
Although it seemed like any other planet, the way it evolved left the immortal entity stunned. How the chaos of the atmosphere was regulated, like fire - which somehow made him uneasy -united with water and turned into stone, how the life of green grew from the ashes of destruction. He also witnessed how out of nowhere the dangerous beasts called Dinosauria were formed and its destruction, revealing the exciting reconstruction of what the meteor shower left. To finally discover the total change of the so-called gorillas to the first hominids in the new world.
Simply fascinating!
He couldn't take his eye from everything that happened with these bipeds, seeing their animalistic form to become a smooth and hairless appearance except on his head along with some other parts.
He grasp how they interact collectively with each other, sometimes coming to maintain leadership of the strongest of the group or how they formed life among themselves -although when he saw them do it for the first time, it left him with more questions than answers-.
He watched, among many times, how the beasts changed at the same pace as the Homos - named by himself - with surprising speed.
And the most exciting thing? He was finally noticed by them and came to be recognize as someone omnipotent! What they did with their own people, the so called sacrifices, was totally unnecessary. But at the time he didn't care.
He could go to know, at last, the beings who had caught his attention!
Says he's happy.
He's a liar.
Blame the arson for the fire.
Several decades passed and the "One-eyed Beast" -as humans called him- was content with the information he collected during the mind visits.
Obviously at first was so frustrating to try to interact with them as their traditions were different from his. Let along their inability to formulate words like he do. But as the years passed, the primitive mind of these creatures began to fill with knowledge that he gladly provided, managing to help the species evolve.
By just knowing that he provide part of him within their minds filled him with something. Maybe pride? It could be that. Pride. What a strange feeling..
Anyway, during the time when the knowledge and technology arose, the entity saw how humans used their imagination to expand their world, now divided into continents and, from another subdivision, cities. The industrial achievement of electricity, transport, the media, and the creation of the educational system fueled his curiosity to non-stop.
The great concepts that were dedicated to call themselves; fetus, baby, boy, girl, adolescent, adult, old, corpse, each and every one of them were written in his collection, finally ending another section of data from Earth.
But it was too soon to finish, because there was another race to rewrite on his books. New beings whose revelation almost left the entity without an eye.
Wizards.
If he wants to shirk the blame,
He'll have to invoke my name.
The other half of the human race, or rather self-named wizards, was a subject that he couldn't fully understand. How could they possibly do a small portion of what he could do? A question that he discovered a second later.
Because he allowed them.
Well, it was more an accident on his part than anything. Somehow part of his energy was transferred to one of the humans inside the so-called fetus in its womb, transferred it to its offspring and so on until it spread throughout the world.
And thanks to the implementation of education, magicians and those born with their power were able to live in collective secrecy. Sometimes he wondered why so much mystery and caution was necessary..
Oh wait.
The Witch Hunt.
Wow, dark times. Veeeeery dark times.
In short, with the magicians, he was able to entertain himself a lot by visiting their minds and managing to get more topics about them. The most interesting were the founders of a school in Britain. Three of them denied the opinion of one of them. Salazar Slytherin, a formidable magician with great knowledge of "Dark Magic", was truly an interesting person to talk to. They would came across to his selfish beliefs about the conservation of magic purity of pureblood. The old man claimed that their blood was begin to be stained by ordinary beings or muggles, turned them into mudbloods.
Seriously, couldn't they think of something better than that?
The entity could be quite a knowing being, but he could not help but be surprised by Salazar's false philosophy expanding through centuries until it was physically born into Tom Marvolo Riddle, proclaimed himself as Lord Voldemort.
...
...
He didn't want to think about it.
The human managed to influence others into his utopia land, even if he himself was a half-blood, forming a large group of followers called Death Eaters who sacrificed common beings like the ancient indigenous people did. That angered and amazed the entity without being able to avoid the magic conflict. Popcorn and drinks were summoned and floating around him until the war reached its end. A very unexpected one indeed.
A one year old baby, surrounded by ancient magic thanks to his deceased mother, survived the magician's killing attack, evaporating his physical body completely in the process. That great achievement left the entity euphoric.
A baby defeated Tom! It was incredible!
However, all his excitement ended when he saw how another wizard, a certain Albus with-so-many-boring-names Dumbledore took the boy from the arms of a semi-giant man and placed him in the doorstep of a random house, a note on the blanket without listening the Cat woman's claims.
When they left, the entity approached where the baby laid, curious to see emerald eyes looking at the triangle being in silence, surprising him.
"You can see me?" asked him breathlessly. "How can you possibly see me? You're just a baby!"
The baby didn't answer him, not that he was expecting one, just closed his eyes and fell asleep. Being aware of the weather, the entity gathered all his power from the Mindscape and transferred it to the physical world placesing a protective heat around the blanket, protecting the little boy from the cold. Only until he was safe inside.
"This is the least I can do for you, kid," he said wearily but without taking his eye off the infant. "I guess we'll see each other someday, Harry Potter. See ya later!"
And floating up he disappeared into a circle of gold hoop with symbols around him, leaving little Harry dozing at the entrance of the house in Privet Drive.
He couldn't wait for that day to come, the entity thought excitedly.
One way to absolve his crime.
A different form
A different time.
