The door to the basement opened and Roman came walking down. Chelsey was well aware that they had moved into day 3. He carried a couple of bottles of water in his hands. He opened the fridge and smiled at the bread and bean paste. He could see she had eaten as he told her to. He put the water in there and closed the fridge again.

"Your father still refuses to let her go," he said. "Or he refuses he has her. If he admits to it, he admits to trafficking women, and he doesn't want the wrong people to know that."
"I'm sorry," she said.
"Not that it matters," he said.

He took out a gun from behind his back and placed it on top of the fridge. Another scare tactic. He moved over to the bed, grabbed her throat and pushed her down on her back. He kept putting pressure on her throat while opening his pants with his free hand. He moved in between her legs and once again forced himself inside her. His hand kept squeezing her throat without sending her into a world of darkness. He kept her balancing on the edge, fearing for her life.

"You know, this hurts me more than it hurts you," he said. "I know you don't believe me but it's true. I never wanted to do this. I just want my cousin back. But your father is a stubborn man so I have to do this. You can blame him for my actions."

So many things she wanted to say to him in that moment if she could. Her tears spoke for her again. He finished as quickly as the other times. He pulled out of her and moved out of the bed.

"Clean up," he said.

She moved over to the sink and grabbed a towel. She looked up in the mirror to see he had his back turned towards her while he was fixing his pants. She knew she had to try. It was her only chance.

She turned around with the towel in her hands. She ran to him, jumped up and wrapped the towel around his throat. He started fighting her right away while she kept trying to hold on to try and strangle him with the towel.

During the struggle, he fell backwards and they both collided with the fridge. Her back hit the fridge door while the back of his head hit a corner. He was dazed long enough for her to grab the fridge door and slam it into his head with as much force as she could. He rolled over on his stomach and crawled on his arms in a random direction. In his confusion, he ended next to a pipe on the wall. She grabbed the handcuffs from under her pillow and chained one of his wrists to the pipe before he got a chance to react.

"What the...?" He mumbled.

She moved over to the fridge, grabbed the gun that he had left on top of it and moved back to him. He gathered his composure seconds later. He yanked at the handcuffs but he couldn't get free. He stared at her and sneered.

"You better let me go," he said warningly.
"Or what?" She asked.

His eyes dropped to his gun in her hand. Her arm was hanging low but that could quickly change. He could quickly become a target.

"I'll let you in on a little secret. I know exactly what my father is working with. I fucking hate him for it," she said.
"Yeah, right!" He growled.
"Baron didn't just roll randomly into this town. He was sent here to go undercover," she said.
"Undercover?" He asked.
"He's a cop. I've been working with the police for a while. It was supposed to be only for show where we played a couple falling in love and getting engaged. But we did fall in love. The engagement is real. And we were gonna take my father down together before getting married. As soon as he was down, I was gonna go back with Baron to his state," she said.

His eyes widened. He had never thought Baron was a cop, or that Chelsey was working against her own father.

"The irony of it all is that I would have gotten your cousin out. Now I'm not so sure I even wanna bother anymore after what you did to me," she said.
"I'm sorry," he started crying. "Please, forgive me."
"I can't," she said.

She raised the gun and pointed it at him.

"I'll get her out. I promise you that. Her and everyone else my father is keeping against their will. But I'll never forgive you. You don't deserve to live to see her get out," she said.

She fired the gun before he could argue against that. His brain splattered out on the wall behind him, and his body went limp on the floor. She walked upstairs and into his bedroom to find some clothes she could wear. With his gun still in her hand, she moved across town and back home. Everyone seemed to be confused as she walked into the house.

She heard her father and Baron's voices coming from her father's office. At least no guards were near it. Most of them were outside, probably talking about her just coming back. She stepped into her father's office. Both men stopped talking and stared at her. She closed the door behind her and looked at her father first before looking at Baron.

"Did he tell you where he keeps them?" Chelsey asked.
"Keep who? Baby girl, are you alright? I swear I'll get Roman for this," Hunter said.
"Did he tell you?" Chelsey raised her voice.
"Yes, he told me," Baron said.
"Good, then we don't need him anymore," Chelsey said.

She raised the gun and shot her own father. Baron stared in disbelief as the body crashed down on the floor. She squatted down and went through Hunter's pockets. She pulled out a set of keys and threw them at Baron.

"Call your team and go release them," she said.
"What the hell did you do? We needed him. We were gonna put everyone away for life," he said.
"So arrest me," she said.

She started crying. He pulled her into his arms and held her.

"They raped me," she cried.
"I know. I saw the video," he said.
"I killed Roman. I promised to get his cousin out. Get them all out today. Do what you need to do to me. Just get them out," she said.

He took the gun from her and leaned down to give her a soft kiss.

"Funny how this gun suddenly vanished. I don't know who killed your father. I was upstairs when it happened. It must have been one of his own men," he said.
"You're gonna break the law for me?" She asked.
"I'm gonna marry you, darling," he smiled. "I need you to come with me right now. Follow my lead. The higher ups won't care that Hunter died as long as they get the rest. As soon as we're in the clear, we're gonna get in my car and leave this state. They can deal with the aftermath without us."
"I love you so much," she said.

He kissed her forehead.

"I love you too. I was fucking lucky to get this case and meet you," he said.
"It hurts, Baron," she said. "Everything I just went through fucking hurts."
"I know, darling," he stroked his cheek. "You're gonna talk and I'm gonna listen. Together we'll get you through this. I won't leave you. That's a promise. You and me, darling, we're in it for the long run."
