Hello everyone hope your all doing good and staying safe, I'm sorry about the delay on this chapter but works a pain haha.

Please enjoy this chapter, I own nothing.

After the paperwork was taken care of, Yukino and Snow walked out of the orphanage and started walking away.

"It's nice to see you again Snow, I was worried I might have been late to get you." Snow looked at her adopted mother with a shy smile but Yukino stopped and knelt down in front of her, brushing a strand of her blue hair behind her ear.

"Since we have some time till the next train we should probably get you some new clothes, then we can get something to eat; would you like that?"

Snow nodded and after grasping Yukino's hand the pair went to enjoy their first day together as mother and daughter.

Meanwhile

"What's wrong with him?" Rogue asked Minerva who was reading Sorcerer Weekly.

"Apparently Yukino went back to Oak Town to meet someone, leaving our guild master in this state."

Rogue looked at Sting who was only staring at some paperwork but everyone noticed that his mind was elsewhere, Rogue shook his head and went to talk to Sting."

"I lost her" Rouge didn't even sit down before Sting spoke, Rouge shook his head but tried to help his twin slayer.

"You don't know that Sting she could've went back to Oak Town to help someone else, we don't know but Frosch and Lector said she'd be back in a few days, so when she comes back we'll find out what's going on." Sting looked up and nodded as Rouge went back to Minerva.

'I hope you're safe Yukino.'

"Aww you look so cute" Yukino gushed as Snow who was now wearing a navy blue dress with white flowers, black tights and brown boots.

Snow smiled happily at her new clothes while Yukino was paying for the other outfits.

Yukino looked at her watch "The train should be here soon, so let's get you home."

Snow looked up to Yukino "You don't live in Oak Town?" she asked and Yukino shook her head, Yukino went on the explain the town she lived in and that she was a wizard of the Sabertooth guild.

"Sabertooth?" Snow asked looking puzzled, Yukino asked if she'd ever heard of the guild or the Grand Magic Games; Snow shook her head "The other kids got to watch the games but I wasn't allowed too I did hear Fairy Tail a lot though."

Yukino felt her heart break 'Oh you poor thing' the mother daughter duo arrived at the train station and after paying for both tickets Snow got on and looked outside of the window while Yukino tried to think of a way of explaining this too the guild.

The train started and pulled away from Oak Town and Snow looked at the only place she ever known grow smaller the further she got, but as the train picked up speed she felt her stomach starting to churn.

"Once we get home I think we should-Snow!"

"I don't feel so good." Yukino looked to see Snow with he head on the table, Yukino noticed Snow was looking a little green. Yukino picked her up, sat her on her lap and placed Snow's head on her chest and stroked her hair to help her to go to sleep.

Snow did manage to fall asleep and the train ride was easy for her, though as they were getting closer to their stop Yukino could hear Snow whimpering and silently talking in her sleep.

"no…please…leave me alone" Snow whispered in her sleep and Yukino didn't know what to make of it.

'What have you been through?' Yukino stroked her hair, kissed her forehead and whispered in her ear that she was safe.

The train came to a stop and Yukino gently shook Snow awake; the small girl rubbed her eyes while Yukino carried her off the train.

Though she did say that she'll back to the guilt in a few days Yukino was thinking about bringing Snow to the guild now, but after feeling Snow tighten her arms around her neck she decided to head home to get her settled.

"Welcome home" Yukino said as she opened the door as Snow walked in she felt the home giving off an aura of love and safety, Yukino took the bags of Snow's new clothes and showed the girl her new room. The room was pretty plain it had cream walls with a single bed, chest of draw and an ottoman chest under the window.

"We'll get around to redecorating it soon" Yukino said while Snow climbed up the ottoman to look out of the window, seeing all of the town's people going about there daily lives. "If you'd like you can watch a lacrima movie while I make us something to eat, would you like that?"

Snow looked at Yukino and nodded she then climbed down from the ottoman and Yukino put a hand on the back of Snow's head; guiding her from her bedroom to the living room.

Yukino wasn't sure what to play "Did you watch anything at the orphanage?" Yukino asked and Snow shook her head, Yukino crouched in front of Snow and ran a hand through her hair.

"Snow...what did they do to you, when we first met you had scrapes and bruisers and they wouldn't let you watch the Grand Magic Games; what happened?"

Snow could see the care and sincerity in Yukino's eyes and she wanted to say something but 'I can't she'll send me back there.' Snow thought to herself, so she didn't say anything and looked at her lap.

Yukino softly smiled; knowing Snow wasn't going to say anything so Yukino decided to play some children movies she had lacrima's of "I love these movies, I'll only be in the next room if you need me, ok?" Snow nodded as Yukino left to prepare dinner.

Snow was enjoying the movie being played as she waited for Yukino, the movie was about a girl traveling to a far away land unlike her own. Snow looked at the coffee table and saw a photo of Yukino and six other people; four guys and two girls.

Yukino came in with two bowls that were steaming and she saw Snow looking at a photo "That's my friends from Sabertooth."

Curiosity flashed from Snows eyes and Yukino explained "That's me in the center and the girl to my left is my sister; Sorano."

Yukino pointed to her who had her arm wrapped over her shoulders "On the right is Minerva."

Yukino told Snow who Minerva, Rufus, Orga, Rogue and Sting were and told her about the other members of Sabertooth.

"Will I meet them?" Snow asked in a mixture of excitement and nervousness, Yukino said that after a few days of settling in she'll take her to meet the rest of her family.

The pair where watching more movies but Yukino had a thought "Do you want some ice cream?" Yukino asked and Snow nodded and followed Yukino into the kitchen.

The kitchen was nothing special with Black worktops, handle's with White cupboards and Black laminate flooring.

Yukino got two bowls and filled them up with Vanilla ice cream, Snow looked at it and she felt…strange like she need more ice cream.

Yukino got two spoons but as soon as she gave Snow the bowl she started to eating it quickly, Yukino tried to warn her about possible brain freeze but-

"Can I have more please?" Snow asked with a smile and Yukino was starting to realize there's more to Snow that she could ever guessed.

Night came and Yukino managed to bath Snow and got her ready for bed "Thank you for the ice cream" Snow said while Yukino only smiled, though seeing her eat a full tub on her own was a site to see.

Yukino tucked Snow in and after giving her a kissing on the forehead "If you need anything my room is just across the hall."

Yukino was about to leave till she heard Snow mid yawn say "Goodnight Momma." Yukino stopped but smiled as she heard the quiet snores from Snow, she left the door slightly agar, as Yukino walked to her room she was glad she could give her a new life.

Meanwhile

In what appeared to be an abandoned warehouse, a man wearing a trench coat was stood in front of another man who was tied to a chair; while a small group of people watched on.

"6 years, it took us 6 years but we finally found you." The man in trench coat said taking off the coat while the man in the chair spat blood on the floor.

"Come on Jack save yourself more of a beating" the man leaned forward showing his slick back black fair and scar over his eye. "Where is the lacrima!"

"I needed to use it Jeremiah." Jack said with a smile while Jeremiah growled "I needed to use it to save my Daughter Snow, she would've died without it."

Jack suddenly had a stone hand covering his face and he saw Jeremiah with a murderous rage etched on his face "Do you know how much that thing could be worth, where is she!" Jeremiah shouted and Jack shook his head.

"I'll dye before I tell you!" Jack said in defiance and Jeremiah smiled before snapping Jack's neck.

He walked away but a woman walked with him "So what now, Jack was the only one who knows where that girl will be."

Jeremiah only laughed "Jack loved that girl so he would've put her somewhere were he could easily get her back if needed be, so Cassandra I need you and two others to scour Oak Town to find her."

Cassandra nodded and turned to leave while Jeremiah looked out to the forest as he walked to a tree, rocks started to cover his hands and he pulled back and punched straight through it making it fall.

"I WILL get it back!"

I want to clarify somethings about this chapter.

Snow knows she has some form of magic, she doesn't know it's Dragon Slayer magic and the caretakers didn't know what to do with her so they isolated her from the others.

This story does take place after the main series but it won't have any connection with the 100 year quest (mostly because I just started reading it.)

Either way I hope you enjoyed and please leave a review.
