Summary:my name is Nathan Yeager and I know it's also the last name of an anime character but it's mine And I like it. Anyway this is the story of how I became a Demigod in the worm verse.

I woke up to the sound of sirens. People were running outside, babies and children crying, and capes rushing to the center of my city.
"The endbringers." I whispered quietly to myself. "Ok shit shit shit shitshitshitshitshit calm down just grab some stuff and go to the shelter" I said trying to remind myself what I should do.
Jumping up I grabbed myself a tank top, a pair of sweats and my emergency bag then took off through the door. I ran to the shelter quickly and started thanking my dad for the….. parkour….. courses.
"Shit dads probably still asleep" I said to myself and so I turned back running at a full sprint to reach the house.
Reaching the house I kicked in the door not wanting to waste time with the slightly broken door knob. Reaching his room I found him sleeping through the chaos outside. Despite the stress and time I smiled at the sight of him. I ran over and shook him awake before signing to him what's going on.
You see my dad is deaf and it makes things hard on us so it's obvious he wouldn't hear the endbringer sirens. 'well it is now that I'm here.' I thought silently to myself.
Dads eyes widening he jumped up and grabbed his emergency duffle bag putting on his shirt and shorts. We ran to the endbringer shelter downtown. The streets were empty so I knew it was almost here and I started cursing. Looking over I saw dad running next to me calm as he always was. When we reached the shelter there were two capes guarding it and had it been any other time I would have started fanboying instantly. It was a large man around 7ft"5in it was the Protectorate's cape shifter he had the power to place areas he's near in to pocket dimensions I heard it's something like Kamui in naruto. While next to him was a small girl she was maybe 13 but she was scary enough that no one argued about her being at endbringer fights. It was the hero sleight a powerful illusionist.
Looking at us both with a grim look they let us in. It was tightly packed but we had room. Finding a place to sit I opened my bag and pulled out a manga.I know it's not important but people will be in here for hours and have nothing to do but hope for the best and pray. I decided I'd rather not be bored and I'm an atheist so I brought along manga, food, and a couple of bottles of water. Right now I was reading one piece and I'm at the Dressrosa Arc. Zoro has just demolished pica mountain as I like to call it and is about to face him one on one.
Suddenly There is the sound of an explosion, the floor cracks as do the walls and a portal whirs to life in the center of the endbringer shelter.
"My god no." a woman next to me whispers while squeezing a little girl close to her.
"Her daughter." my mind whispers to me even though I didn't care what their relationship was. She looked to be about 9 or 10 at most. She was shaking like a leaf and still acting strong. Because next to her was a little boy who I'd say was around the age of seven crying
She was trying to comfort him and I could hear her whispering to him about how it's alright and the hero's are outside. The scene was heartbreaking, and only made me hate the endbringers more.
Looking through the portal I saw the eye of a monster. The one who I saw as the most terrifying endbringer. The fucking Simurgh. Looking around the eye swiveled around until it landed on me and I froze completely not even breathing.
"Shitshitshitshitshitshitshitshitshitshitshitshit……." It just kept repeating in my mind why was she looking for me. What had I done? No that question was wrong, what would I have grown to do? The Simurgh only attacked places that would cause changes in humanity and either destroyed the city or warped its inhabitants. Looking at the girl from before she froze as well looking as scared as I felt and suddenly I felt I had to do something stupid. If only for everybody else's sake.
Looking around I spotted a pipe on the floor, one that looks to have broken from the ceiling. Grabbing it I threw it at the eye as hard and as fast as I could. It flew and flew and struck true. Pole in eye the Simurgh merely shifted a little. Next to me the girl looked up at me as if I were eidolon or legend. Suddenly a golden blast encased the Simurghs head. Scion was here and we were saved.
Collapsing on my ass I turned to the little girl and boy next to me and grinned. I didn't smile but grinned like some protagonist from an anime trying to show that it was ok. I spoke to the kids to see if they were all right.
"Hey brats you alive down there?" I questioned trying to sound like zoro did when talking to others.
"Your amazing mister." the little boy said louder than he should have because it seemed to shake the woman from her praying
I was momentarily taken back from the look she gave me one of hatred, fear, or something. She looked as if she wanted to yell at me and curse my name. Yet I couldn't understand why not until she spoke.
" it was looking at you." She whispered quietly. So quietly I almost missed it. But I heard it and winced. "IT WAS LOOKING AT YOU." She screamed almost hysterically. Suddenly all eyes swiveled towards her and I.
"Ma'am I have no idea what you're talking about." I lied shamelessly as the last thing I needed was for everyone to be out for my blood.
"Liar, why did you act if not to save yourself huh. You acted because the Simurgh wanted you." She yelled out and the whispers started immediately.
"Look lady I acted because you're kids were having a panic attack and I didn't know what I could do to help, plus if she started singing we would have been put in a zone I don't Like containment." I spoke clearly trying to calm everyone down while acting normal.
Before we could continue, shifter appeared scuffed up and bleeding. "It's over." he said in a whisper. "we lost a lot but this is the first time we've ever fought with the Simurgh and lost no civilians." He said trying to hold back what I guess were tears. Looking around it seemed like he moved the dimensions opening out to the shelters.
Walking out we could see what looked like a large machine in the distance probably what she used to break into shifters dimension. Closer to us was a seemingly incomplete machine. It was about the size of half a car and looked to be surrounded by capes.
Sighing in relief I turned to look for my dad as I had lost him in the crowd. People were moving out of wholes all around us shifters pocket dimensions must have held ever endbringer shelter.
"Hey mister." I turned to see the kids from earlier with their mother.
"Yeah?" I ask him.
"Is that supposed to be beeping?" he asked while pointing at the half finished machine. Turning I saw a red light flashing rapidly and my eyes widened.
"IT'S A BOMB" I yelled while running to take the kids behind any form of cover. Just as I tackled the kids and their mom behind a destroyed SUV it went off. The world went whit in my eyes and a piercing pain stabbed throughout my body.
When the world returned to normal I saw the horrified mother staring at me and seemingly not noticing the small shards of glass riddling her body. Looking down at the kids I saw the large edge of a pipe just barely pricking the boys skin and the girl from before crying next to him safe. Coughing a bit I looked at the kids and grinned.
"Huh well I'm glad to see everyone is ok" I said before coughing again. The kids looked like they were about to pass out, And the mom wouldn't stop looking at me. Tears were rolling down her eyes from what I guessed was relief at her kids being alive and safe. Coughing again I resolved to get checked because it was starting to hurt.
"Mister" The girl called out to me while crying. Why was she crying? She was fine.
"Yeah" I asked my voice sounded raspy and it hurt to talk but I'd just see if I can get that healed later.
"Doesn't that hurt" the boy finished for her while pointing at my stomach. Looking down I saw the pipe that had almost pierced the boy was actually piercing me it sort of reminded me of the battle of marineford in one piece. The scene with ace and luffy.
Slowly I started to feel it, the adrenaline started wearing off and the pain hit me like a freight train. Coughing again I realized that I've been spitting up blood and that's why they all looked so horrified.
"Nah this is but a flesh wound" I lied with a grin trying not to scar them worse than they already were.
"Just watch I'll be all healed up and moving around in a week" I said trying to convince them I'm ok. Their mother had passed out a while ago and they needed comfort. Suddenly I fell to my knees, my strength leaving them. I was surprised I lasted this long. I really felt like an anime character as if I was doing good and being stubborn enough to tell death to go fuck itself.

"What the fuck were those things " I thought to myself while picturing the big ass space whales. Were those aliens am I hallucinating from blood loss. Looking back at the kids I saw the girl had left and the boy was still stuck between the pipe and the ground.
Hearing approaching steps I saw my dad running alongside the girl and another one that looked really familiar.
"Nathan" My dad yelled as he saw the state I was in. Struggling to lift my arms and sign to him he stopped me.
" It's ok panacea healed my ears I can hear again."I smiled. I couldn't help it. Dad had been deaf since I was a kid. It's nice to know he'd be able to hear me.
"Mr. Yeager could you get the pipe out of him? I need access to heal him." Nodding he apologized because we both knew this was gonna hurt. I grit my teeth as he pulled the familiar pipe out and collapsed on my face. As soon as panacea healed me I passed out it had been a long day.
