Chapter 1.
Katsuki Bakugo walked down the halls of UA towards the training room. 7am was way too fucking early but he was itching to blow some shit up. He had that dream again.
He's suffocating. Everything smells gross. Everything feels gross. Is something burning? Just his lungs. He struggles to escape but the sludge villain has him. He pulls until he feels the fibers in his muscles tear. Glimpses of faces. Faces of nobodies. Don't just stand there gawking! Deku rushing towards him...
"Tsk" he's even more frustrated now. Whatever, getting a good workout will help him push these memories out of his mind. His palms itch for destruction.
"Oh, Good Morning Kacchan!" Izuku Midoriya falls into step beside him sporting a bright smile. Katsuki picks up his pace. He wants nothing to do with this useless shitbag. Izuku keeps pace, smiling easily.
"What kind of drills do you think we're doing today? Maybe we'll be working on our 'Ultimate Moves' that Aizawa sensei mentioned yesterday in class!"
Katsuki ingored him. Why was he talking to him anyway? Where does he get off acting like they're friends? This fucking nobody who was less than dirt under his boot. This fucking nobody that he should have easily left in the dust years ago. Yet here he was day after day, holding his own. His very presence defying all odds. It grated on his nerves.
They were almost at the training facility. His palms burned.
"Okay everyone listen up." Aizawa drawled. "We're going to be working on your ultimate moves and for that I've asked some of the other teachers to help out. Cementoss custom made the arena for you all to practice in. Please let him know if you have any other needs for your surroundings. Ectoplasm will be sparring with all of you using his cloning quirk. That's all for now."
Explosions rang out through the facility. "OI, GIMME ANOTHER! MINE DIED!" Katsuki yelled with a wicked grin and insane eyes. The teachers shuddered. This is exactly what he needed. Chunks of wall and floor blasted to pieces and flew every direction. This was great. Nothing like feeling the release of his quirk and seeing the destruction it created.
Midoriya was on his way to the nurse's office with Ochako Uraraka in tow.
"Deku-kun, you need to be more careful! You getting hurt constantly isn't good for anyone! How are you going to be a Pro-Hero if you're always injured?"
"I know..." Izuku let out a nervous laugh. It's true although she doesn't know the reason why and not like he could really tell her either. He just needed to work on getting his body stronger and have better control over One For All. He clenched his injured fist to his chest.
"You again? Honestly..." Recovery Girl sighed upon seeing who entered.
"I'd wait for it to heal on it's own but we're doing this again tomorrow..." Izuku laughed nervously.
Recovery Girl stared at him for what seemed like forever before finally sighing in defeat. She shook her head and moved around the small room before coming back to stand in front of Izuku.
"I'm not going to heal you every time you get hurt. I've told you this before. I do however, have a cellular regrowth serum I can give you which will accelerate your body's healing process. It won't work for much larger and more intense injuries but considering the strain this quirk puts on your body, I think taking this everyday is one of the best things you can do for yourself."
"Ah...thank you!" Izuku quickly replied as she set the vial in his hands.
"It's topical so you can just use it like you would a moisturizer. Smooth a bit on your skin and let it soak in. Don't cover it until it's fully absorbed."
"T-thank you" he said again, not really knowing what else to say.
"Off with you now! I have other patients to attend to." Recovery Girl shooed Izuku and Ochako out back into the hall as quickly as they arrived.
"Lucky!" Ochako beamed. "Deku-kun this will be so useful since you're always getting injured! Do you want me to help you put some one?"
"I think I can manage. Thank you Uraraka-san."
In the common room the class was playing video games on the couch. Denki Kaminari and Eijiro Kirishima were racing against Momo Yaoyorozu and Jiro Kyoka as Mina Ashido, Asui Tsuyu and Katsuki were waiting their turns. Izuku was on his way to the kitchen when he spotted them. That serum was already working on clearing up his bruised hand and arm. Incredible! This was a game changer.
"Good evening Izuku-kun" Asui called out from where she was sitting on the sofa. "Ah, hi Tsu-chan!" He replied brightly.
"Izuku-kun, why don't you come join us? We need another player for the next round."
"O-ok, sounds fun!" Izuku moved over to the only free spot on the couch next to Katsuki who grunted in response.
"You're quirk is looking amazing as usual Kacchan! You'll have so many ultimate moves in no time... while I'm still ...struggling to get the hang of mine..." Izuku trailed off looking down at his hands. He tried not to pity himself but seeing Katsuki in the training room with such power and mastery over his quirk made Izuku realize how far away he still was from his goal.
"YAAAAAAAAAAAAAEEEEEEHHHHHHHHHH!" Jiro yelled as her and Momo apparently won that round.
"Arrrgggghhhhhhhh! You've got to be kidding me!" Denki complained tossing his controller over to Katsuki who caught it in midair and handed it to Izuku. "We're on nerd, get your head in the game."
Everyone was laughing on their way back to their rooms. It was an intense match but by the end of it Izuku didn't care who won he was having so much fun. He was still thinking back on all of the antics as he and Katsuki walked back through the dorms. Katsuki stopped walking and Izuku almost ran face-first into his back.
"Oi, Deku..."
"Y-yes...Kacchan?"
"...Nevermind." He turned into his room and shut the door leaving Izuku in the hall alone to wonder what the hell that was all about.
Katsuki lay in bed awake. He couldn't fucking sleep, he just kept thinking about when they were playing games and his leg kept brushing up against Izuku's. It was...sorta...really...soft? Not like a regular soft skin, like soft like a pampered woman's skin. Since Katsuki wasn't looking at anything but the screen it hadn't registered at first. He was focused on the race and the adrenaline of winning.
Maybe it was all of the aggression and adrenaline throughout the day setting him on edge but he couldn't get that skin out of his head and they way it felt on his. Why was it like that? Deku's skin was never that soft. He'd sparred, well fought really, with him before and even when they were kids Deku still always felt like a guy. Why now all of the sudden does his skin feel soft like a woman's?
It didn't make sense and it was pissing him off that he kept thinking about it.
