A/N: Sorry if I took too long with this chapter, but I was caught up in another fic of mine that's really got me going, it's just I'm having writer's block when it comes to the middle part of this fic, I know how I want to end it, but I'm having trouble getting the ball rolling on this one. So right now I'm focusing all my efforts on my other work.
I hope you enjoy.
Coming back where we last left off the girls waited outside while the Automotive club worked inside the hanger trying to fix the broken communications device with Warpath crying out in pain as the girls used a blowtorch on him. From the outside the girls actually heard him the giant machine hollering from within the hanger.
"OWE! OWE! OWE!" he cried out out.
"Keep it down!" one of the Automotive girls told Warpath as they did their best to fix his head, but they're dealing with mechanics they never seen before.
For the next for minutes the girls finally saw the doors to their hanger open.
"So how'd it go?" Anzu asked.
"Uuuuh...? good enough?" the Automotive club replied sounding unsure with their work.
Inside the girls all found Warpath sitting in the middle of the hanger rubbing one side of his head.
"How are feeling big guy?" Yukari asked aloud.
"Ugh! I don't know, let me test it out," Warpath stood up carefully stepping out in the open.
He stood tall towering over all the others, parts of his chest started shift and slid apart rearranging themselves, Warpath then pointed up towards the sky, a powerful ray of light shot straight out of gun. The girls looked in awe at the scene no one has ever seen before, for a moment it all seems to work, but that's until sparks started flying out from the side of Warpath's head.
"OWE! OWE! THAT'S HOT! THAT'S HOT!" he cried out cutting off the light as he tried to put out the smoke from his head.
He then throws himself to the ground, dirt kicking up, and ground trembling underneath the girls' feet as Warpath rolled around on the ground crying out in pain as if he were on fire.
"Calm down!" Miho shouted.
"You're making too much noise!" Saori noted.
"Someone will hear!" Hana added.
"Hey! what's going on over there?" an adult's voice can be heard around the corner of the street.
"Someone's coming!" the girls exclaimed in a panic and the man poked his head from the corner.
"What are you girls doing here?" the man questioned looking carefully into the practice field.
The girls were confused as the man didn't seem to bothered by the giant robot, but as they glanced to their side they saw that Warpath had already transformed into the Mark IV without them noticing and so Momo grabs wrench.
"Uh...? just having trouble with the engine," she lied with a nervous grin whacking the side of the tank only for a hatch to spring out to smack her back.
"Hmm, well you girls be careful," the man told them all and he went off his way leaving the girls relieved.
"That was close," Saori sighed in relief and Warpath transformed back to his humanoid form.
"Oh PRIMUS! that hurt!" he cried out.
"So the thingy work?" Saori asked.
"The thingy?" Mako repeated to how stupid that sounds.
"Oh hush," Saori remarked back.
"I don't think the signal got through," Warpath guessed before bringing up a holographic chart of his systems.
The girls watch as Warpath ready what was presented to him on the screen hearing him hum and scratch his chin with his giant red finger.
"... I think it worked, yeah I'm sure of it," Warpath stuttered.
"You think?" Mako repeated with a raised brow.
"Yeah, like... ninety-five percent sure," Warpath estimated, but the girls glanced to one another, "I'm sure my message is on its way."
"Perhaps, but we got a match to prepare for tomorrow," Miho reminded.
"Ooh! another match, can I come again?" Warpath asked getting excited for the girls' next game.
"No way," Saori told him.
"Why not... ?" Warpath asked.
"Tankery is for girls only, no boys allowed, especially giant alien robots," Momo informed him sternly.
"Aww... c'mon, I made the winning shot last time," Warpath reminded.
"But how did you managed to survive all those shots at us?" Saori asked remembering last time.
"Yeah, did you have some sorta force-field projected around yourself?" Yukari thought loud in excitement.
"Nah, I just jumped out of the way, check it," Warpath then in the second transformed into the Mark IV, and doing what the girls never thought they saw. A hopping tank.
The girls stood in awe seeing the tank hop like a bunny, landing back down on his treads and watching the tank shift back and forth, and spin around with little ease.
"Why would a tank need to do that?" Erwin asked.
"Well, I didn't have a rotating turret before," Warpath answered.
"So you used thrusters to help you move around, that's pretty neat for a tank without a rotating turret," Yukari complimented at the idea.
"So can I come?" Warpath asked again.
"NO!" all of the girls told him again.
"Awww..." Warpath pouted.
"Sorry big guy, those are the rules," Yukari told him before her and all the other girls going off to practice.
When the Ooarai girls hopped into their tanks driving off to train Warpath watched as Anglerfish team drove off in their real tank.
The Next Morning
Right at the crack of dawn the Ooarai ship made it to port the Ooarai team got ready to head to land as they all met up at the front gate of the school.
"Alright is everybody here?" Miho called out looking over to see everyone.
"Yup, we're all here," Anzu replied and the doors to the hanger opened wide revealing their tanks.
"Wait a second," Saori said stopping her friends from climbing into the Mark IV, "Warpath! Warpath!" she called out, but there was no answer.
The others looked around trying to find the robot in disguise, there was no signs of him and soon they figured out that Warpath was trying to switch himself with their original tank again, Yukari walked around the hanger seeing their real Mark IV hiding from behind the building.
"Over her guys," she called out already climbing into the tank.
"Nice try big guy," the other girls teased.
"Alright everyone let's get moving," Miho ordered and everyone started rolling out leaving the second in the hanger that still continued to do nothing.

Later as the team drove off the ramp and with a small window the team looked over to what will be their battlefield for the match today.
"It's gonna be good day for a tank battle," Hana commented.
"Sure is," the Mark IV spoke making everyone gasps.
"Warpath!" Yukari cried out, "So you didn't switch the tanks, you just stayed silent so we think that."
"Yup."
"Should we go back?" Saori asked.
"No, there's no time," Miho stated, "We just have to go with Warpath."
"Yes..." Warpath cheered gleefully.
"No, we'll do all the driving, loading, shooting, and commanding," Miho cuts his mood, "You just be a tank... a normal tank," she told him firmly.
"Fine," Warpath pouted as the team drove off.
Later
Out in the starting corner of the map the girls all gathered around to discuss tactics.
"Where's the captain?" the girls asked each other.
"Look, here they come," one of the others pointed to the approaching Mark IV, but they noticed it swaying side to side while music was playing from it.
"Somebody's having a fun time," Anzu noted.
But as the tank drew near they sooner realized that wasn't the case.
"Hey guys!' Warpath shouted out gleefully.
"What are you doing here!?" Momo demanded.
"Turns out he didn't pull the old switcher-roo on us," Saori told them all.
"Well there's no time to gripe about it," Anzu shrugged to the side, "The big guy managed to blend in last match so I bet he can do it again, right?"
"Aye! aye!" Warpath responded.
Battlefield
At the center Miho and Momo went to meet their opponents, St. Gloriana.
"Hello, Ms. Nishizumi, is your team ready for our battle today?" Darjeering greeted.
"More than ready," Miho responded eagerly.
"May the captains give a respective bow before the match commences," the referees ordered.
The two team leader did what was told before both hurrying back to their staring side Miho saw that everyone's was prepping their tanks.
"Is everyone ready?" Miho said aloud to which everyone responded with an "aye".
"Aye! aye!" Warpath called out.
"No! tanks don't talk," Momo corrected.
"But this tank-."
"SHUT IT!" everyone shouted.

A flare was shot into the air signaling the start of the match, rolling out through the grassy field the Ooarai team was still unsure what the enemies strategy might be.
"Should we scout ahead to see where St. Gloriana's position is?" Yukari suggested.
"I know where they're at?" Warpath said to them.
"What? lair," Saori called him out.
"How'd you know exactly where St. Gloriana is?" Mako challenged.
"I hacked into a satellite with a crappy firewall," Warpath explained.
"Wait, you have wi-fi?" Saori asked.
"I'm a giant space alien robot of course I have wi-fi," Warpath confirmed it.
"It doesn't matter, that we'll be cheating," Miho detested.
"Awe c'mon! it's war, all is fair in war," Warpath quoted.
"No mean's no," Miho put her foot down.
"But they're right... " as Warpath tried to tell them he twisted his turret, pointed his gun up as the right angle, and fired, "There."
The round went soaring through the air arching over forests and hills until a faint boom could be heard far out in distance when the round landed.
"St. Gloriana's flag tank has been disabled!" the announcer cried out out.
"WHAT!?" The girls cried out in shock.
"Ooarai Academy wins!"
"Told ya," Warpath pointed.
\Later/
Rolling back to the carrier most of the girls were very disappointed when the battle was cut short.
"We'll that was pointless," Erwin commented as she leads her tank up the ramp.
"At least we won," Momo saw the silver lining.
"Yeah! go team!" Warpath cheered.
"Warpath!" Yukari exclaimed slamming her fist on the outside of him.
"Hey! what?" he asked.
"We told you we were gonna handle the match," Miho reminded him.
"But-."
"It's not a war, it's just a sport," she informed him sternly like a teacher.
"Who rides around in death machines for sport... ? oh wait!" Warpath then realized he is that kind of person.
"Next time we will be taking OUR tank into the next match, got it?"
"Oh... fine," Warpath begrudgingly agreed as the ream drove up the ramp.
But before it was Anglerfish team's turn to drive up St. Gloriana has come to congratulate them on the victory.
"Everyone! St. Gloriana's here, Warpath?" Miho then called onto the Cybertronian.
"What?"
"Stay quiet," she advised as she climbed out of him, jumping off Miho went to greet, Darjeeling and her crew.
"Ms. Nishizumi, that was a most astounding shot I ever seen," Darjeeling noted.
"It was a lucky shot," Miho regarded.
"Lucky? you fired into the air, and of all places you struck our tank in the first shot right the very start of match," Darjeeling listed off, "That has to be a record."
"Well, Hana, always strived to do her best, heheheee... " Miho nervously giggled.
"We might've lost the battle, but it was a sight to witness such precision, good luck on the next match," Darjeeling then waved goodbye leaving the girls with her friends in tow.
"She took it well," Saori commented causing everyone to sigh, "... Anyone wanna go shopping."
