Kyle 10: Spiral Force

Prologue: So you came from the heavens themselves!

For anyone wondering what just happened, I ended up in a desert randomly, wondering what the hell was going on.

Kyle: "AGH! DAMN IT DRIVEMAX! WHY DID YOU DROP ME IN THE MIDDLE OF A DESERT?!" I tried to call the others. There was no reception. I was shocked. That never happened before. I couldn't call Ali. My other speed dials, for Ben, Gwen, Kevin, and even Kayla were all fails. I've never been able to NOT receive reception on the Ultimatrix before. That was so nuts. Was it getting jammed?!

Kyle: "Ultimatrix? Can you tell me why I can't receive or send any calls?"

Ultimatrix: "There are no signals to use. There are some that are secure, but it is beyond the current parameters to hack them." (A/N: Ultima isn't a thing in this reality, the clones were made before Ultima existed.)

Kyle: "Great!" This made me wonder if I was even on my Earth. Did DriveMax honestly send me to another Earth? Like wow! I knew I said I wanted to be a Gem on that quiz, but sending me to another universe? What?! How is this a good thing? He didn't even give me anything besides the clothes on my back and left the Ultimatrix on me!

Ultimatrix: "To note, the moon is also sending an interference down to Earth. Nothing inhibiting any necessary functions, but communications offworld may be impossible." The moon? It was bright now, and I guess I COULD fly to the moon using Jetray, or teleport there with Alien X to examine it to figure out what's going on, but I should try to find some civilization first in order to find out what happened on this Earth. I mean, it isn't unusual for Earth to have signals flying around, of course, but what was really off was the source from the moon. I mean, how would that be normal, huh? I went Armodrillo once I found some nearby cliffs, and dug a hole into the side of the rocks with him, digging until I made a little hidey-hole for myself. It would give me a place to use Teleportal to immediately take supplies to in the meantime. Once I made a big enough hole, I transformed into Rocks to build some rock furniture. If I ever found some tech, I could use Jury Rigg to try and make a computer, and maybe even use Grey Matter and Upgrade to fine-tune it up. If there were any records I could use, I would.

Rocks: "Not bad. I got a sofa, a dinner table… cupboards…" I sighed. I wished I had tech I could use somehow. I walked out of my hidey hole to take a look around for food. So I transformed into XLR8 to begin looking. If all else failed, I could eat anything with Upchuck to keep my energy up, and use Water Hazard to give myself something to drink that was also pretty good and clear of pollutants. If there were animals out here I could hunt, I would do it. Just because I am half-animal myself doesn't mean I'm against eating other animals. I'm half-human, too! As I kept running, I seemed to make something stir. I heard a big booming voice.

Voice: "What the hell is that dust trail?! After it!" I kept going at my normal pace, but tried to see what might be coming for me in the distance. It was probably not wise to directly engage whatever it was yet. I only saw a rounded figure coming in my direction. It also seemed to be a very tall object coming my direction.

XLR8: "Hm." I stopped running, turned into Nanomech, and tried to use the tech in my sensors to get a better view of what was coming at me. I zoomed in on it a bit, noticing that there was a big figure coming at me, as predicted, which was not moving terribly fast, sure, but the size of it was pretty notable. Zooming in again, it was white, had a large mouth, very noticeable bull horns, and was wielding a club. Geez! Is that what lives on this Earth nowadays? That can't be good! Though it was weird that it's face seemed to be covering most of it's body. It also seemed to be metallic with the sheen the sunlight reflecting off of it had been giving it. Was it a giant robot of some type? I didn't have much time to wonder as I saw some gunshots going off and hitting it. They were exploding on the shell.

Nanomech: "The hell-" My sensors went off.

Nanomech: "Wait… two more giant signatures nearby my-" I looked to my left, and saw two towering figures coming over me?! How did I not notice them before? Were they on me? One was a green robot with a skull-styled face on it's belly, and the other was also green, but had some more feline features while also having a similar design to most giant robot faces I've seen in the past. That seemed a little off to me.

Skull-Bot: "A machine-type thing, but it isn't a Gunman? How does that work?"

Cat-Bot: "Who cares? We should bring it back to the boss!" He reached for me as I grew wings out of my back and went flying.

Nanomech: "Please! As if I'd willingly go to your boss!" I shot some electricity at the cat guy, he flew backwards, shaking the shock off of him hand.

Cat-Bot: "DAMN YOU! Not only does it talk, it has weapons!"

Skull-Bot: "You're coming with me, asshole! How dare you strike-" He missed me as I dodged out of the way. I grew missile pods out of my body and hands, and launched them at his eyes.

Skull-Bot: "OH GOD! MY EYES! I can't see!" I transformed into Jetray now in an attempt to get away from the robots, and Cat-Bot swung at me. I sent some lasers at him, and he shielded his face with his arm.

Cat-Bot: "I can't believe you! First you're a robot and now you're a red bat thing!"

Jetray: "First off, I'm a manta ray. And secondly, I was never really a robot. What the hell is going on, and why did you attack me?"

Skull-Bot: "You attacked us, too, you freakshow!" He swung at me, only to knock over both him and his buddy. I laughed, deciding to go back to hunting. If all of these giant robots were this stupid, I could dodge them without having to do much. Either the population on this planet is composed of giant robot beings, or the population has people piloting them for one reason or another. But why have them run around barren deserts like this? Is there a reason? That's what I'll be here to find out, I guess. For now, I'm hungry, like I said. I'll need to find the wildlife out here. I flew around, scouting for creatures that looked edible. I found an oasis out in the middle of the desert after some time of flying, locating a pond-like area, or watering hole, as Lion King would call it. I surveyed the creatures here, and a few of them surprised me. I saw a rabbit-gator, a hippo covered in grapes, and some flying raccoons. What kind of Earth IS this? All I knew for sure was, I was hungry, and I wanted to try some grape hippos. I landed behind some bushes, and changed into Wildmutt. As I saw the grape hippo getting eaten from by flying raccoons, I ambushed it, and ripped it apart from the gut, ripping through the grapes as I did so. The beast fell even though it struggled against me for a second, and I turned back to me to begin eating.

Kyle: "MM-MM! Wow, this is amazing!" They tasted just like grapes. I had to find a way to make a big fridge, and fast! I may also want to consider saving the meat for later somehow if I can. What I am still confused by though… is why DriveMax sent me to this land of giant robots and grape hippos. Is there something really wrong here, or is he up to something? Would he take me home if I was needed? Would Paradox have to come find me? I would think that DriveMax would make him come and get me instead of coming here himself. I looked around, wondering if anyone else heard me, but that did not seem to be the case as I tried to finish eating what I could. Some flying raccoons decided to join me. Whatever. There were way too many grapes for just me anyway. So, if there were these creatures, but giant robot beings… that points to them being piloted. Good. As if it wasn't obvious I wasn't on Cybertron with the organic creatures here. I just now remembered what they asked each other about while I was still Nanomech as well.

Kyle: "What's a Gunman, though? Not some dude with a gun, I would bet." So… earlier, when I scanned the bull-horned guy, and something was shooting at it, was somebody in trouble?! No way! Did I just leave someone to die?! Oh God. I transformed into Eatle and began munching through what I could from what was in front of me as I transformed into XLR8 again, and zoomed back for the area I remembered seeing the bull-horned robot. There was a gigantic pitfall in the ground. I considered going after the guy, when I saw a very bright green light at the bottom of the hole. It pushed up the bull-horned robot and sent it flying high into the sky. It looked like a rocket engine trail had gone off. There was also a big explosion.

XLR8: "HOLY MOTHERFUCK!" The machine parts came flying down. I transformed into Lodestar to catch them, as I might need some of that for later, who knew, right? This wasn't going to be a big deal, I hoped, using his parts for supplies. I looked up, seeing a big speck in the sky, too. After I gathered the scraps of the bull-horned robot, I saw a speck coming down from above and headed for the ground. I ran in their direction, but hid myself behind some rocks to kind of survey what was happening. I saw a red colored mini-robot that was open, a muscular blue-haired guy with a sword was currently rubbing his head in pain, and a kid with goggles on his forehead was on top of a girl who also had a sniper rifle. I saw that she had a bikini top on as well as small black shorts. She had long red hair tied into one big ponytail. I saw that the kid was in a slightly embarrassing position, so I ducked under a bit to hide my view of that temporarily.

Goggles Kid: "I-I'm sorry, I didn't mean to-"

Red-Haired Girl: "AAAH!" Oh shit, this is when the girl usually slaps the guy for an innocent mishap because it was done on accident. I've seen enough anime to know that! It was then I heard some familiar voices.

Red-Haired Girl: "Out of the frying pan, and into the fire."

Cat-Bot: "Humans! Something we know what to do with!"

Lodestar: "Great. These two idiots." I got out, pointing my magnetic waves at the cat 'Gunman' thing. I think that's what they're calling themselves. The other three looked shocked, and turned their faces to me.

Red-Haired Girl: "What in the world are-" I saw the blue-haired guy was covered in tattoos now, and was carrying a sword, wearing orange sunglasses.

Shades Guy: "HEY HEY HEY HEY HEY THERE, BUDDY!" I looked at him.

Lodestar: "Me?"

Shades Guy: "YES YOU! ARE YOU WITH THESE GUNMEN?!"

Lodestar: "No! Get away! I'll hold them off!"

Shades Guy: "Get away?! WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK I AM, PAL?!" He drew his sword, pointing it at me.

Shades Guy: "If you're with those big Gunmen guys, then you have to face me! The true paragon of manliness! The most badass man in existence! The one and only Kamina!" I deadpanned at him.

Lodestar: "JUST TAKE OFF YOU IDIOT!"

Goggles Kid: "He's right, bro! Come on!"

Red-Haired Girl: "We need to get to Lagann! Thanks!" She grabbed her gun as her and the kid in the goggles ran for Lagann, the red robot that was near them. Kamina, however, was having none of this. When Skull-Bot came in trying to direct his punch towards Kamina, I turned back to me, growing my quills, and getting Kamina out of the way all in one big motion. Kamina turned to me when he saw this.

Kamina: "How did you do that?"

Kyle: "I have the ability to run fast in my human form. You guys need to get the fuck out of here! Can that thing run?"

Goggles Kid: "It sure can!"

Kamina: "We can't run! We gotta fight those Gunmen!" The girl's gaze was fixated on me.

Kyle: "WHAT IS IT?! GO!" I snapped her out of her trance.

Red-Haired Girl: "Right! Come on, Simon!" The canopy shut over Lagann's head, getting Simon and her locked up in there safely. Lagann then began running off. I saw that Kamina was still with me.

Kyle: "What the hell is your problem!"

Kamina: "HEY HEY HEY HEY! You all better clear out those big ears of yours and listen up!"

Simon: "BRO!" Lagann turned back around and headed for Kamina as he had his sword ready yet again.

Kamina: "Having left his homeland, he never retreats, never regrets…" I growled to myself, transforming into Shocksquatch, and breathing a big electric beam at the Gunmen as they tried to attack Kamina. He was dumbfounded for a moment as he saw me.

Shocksquatch: "DAMN IT, EH! GET THE HELL OUTTA HERE!" Lagann came back up and grabbed Kamina. Simon's voice was coming out of it.

Simon: "I'll get out of here with my bro and Yoko! You do your thing, okay?" I nodded.

Shocksquatch: "Fine by me, dude. I just wanted dumbass over there out of the way."

Kamina: "DUMBASS?! YOU BETTER TAKE THAT BACK RIGHT NOW! NO ONE-" Lagann blasted off with Kamina in tow. I didn't want to end up shocking that Kamina guy on accident, and there was no way he was going to listen to reason. I began to charge up an electric burst attack.

Skull-Bot: "That shapeshifting guy is back!"

Cat-Bot: "And not only is he in cahoots with the Mini-Gunman, he's a human, too! They took out the squad leader!" I released my lightning breath yet again, shocking them both, short-circuiting their Gunmen bodies as some bullets went off from behind me. Lagann's canopy was opened as it was flying away, and Yoko, the girl with them, was shooting with her sniper rifle at them, knocking them down a peg.

Yoko: "Good job! Let me finish this!"

Shocksquatch: "Wait. Finish? What's going on here?" Yoko didn't wait to answer, as she kept firing at the Gunmen, blowing holes in them. While the Cat-Bot Gunman made it, the Skull-Bot Gunman had to breathe out it's pilot, a furry guy with fangs and small eyes as it exploded.

Furball: "Oh no! My Gunman!"

Cat-Bot: "Retreat!"

Furball: "You'll pay for this you stinking humans!" I discharged some more lighting at them, and Cat-Bot ran off while carrying the furball guy. Lagann landed on the ground. I turned back to me and ran over to where they were.

Kamina: "How long are you going to keep running, Simon?" Simon looked confused about Kamina's question.

Kyle: "Well, if he didn't take you away from there when he did, I would have electrocuted you. Maybe you should give him some kind of a 'thanks for saving me' or something?" Kamina and Simon looked at me.

Kamina: "Hey, your head spikes are gone. What's up with that?" Before I could answer, Yoko put her rifle up to my head.

Yoko: "Okay, fuzzball! You're going to start talking! Why can you turn into different creatures like that metal guy and that lightning breather? And how can you take on Gunmen without weapons?!"

Kyle: "Whoa! Hold on, first off, I just got here. Second off, those guys were after me, too! I didn't even know what a Gunman was until today!"

Simon: "Yeah, Yoko. Maybe he came out of a village like Bro and I did."

Kamina: "Lay off a second, huh? The man does need to speak for himself!"

Yoko: "He grew head spikes. He has to be a Beastman."

Kyle, Kamina and Simon: "Beastman?" Even a little mole creature came out of Yoko's cleavage with a questioning noise. Something I couldn't help but notice.

Kyle: "How long has he been in there?"

Simon: "Boota! Behave yourself!" Boota, the mole, hopped out of Yoko's chest, and landed back with Simon in Lagann. Lagann had been stuck in the same position, holding Kamina out. Yoko still had her rifle trained on my head. I sighed.

Kyle: "First off, you're not going to be able to hurt me with that, and second off-" Yoko fired, but she realized she hadn't hit her target.

Yoko: "W-where did he-" She felt a force rip her gun out of her hand as I returned visible to them, as Ghostfreak. I was holding her rifle.

Ghostfreak: "Now, let's all put our weapons away and start talking to each other, huh? Maybe we can all figure out what's going on here." I dropped the gun back onto the ground. Yoko seemed very shocked at what I did. Simon now looked at me, scared of what he was seeing. Kamina on the other hand, grinned widely.

Ghostfreak: "What?"

Kamina: "If those Beastmen guys have a problem with you, and you're someone living on the surface like the rest of us humans are, that's great! You have a lot of manly spirit in you! Welcome to Team Gurren!" Like I cared about that right now, but the attempt was there, which I respected. I turned back to me.

Kyle: "I think I know all of your names, but you don't know mine. I apologize." Yoko snapped out of it, and took her gun back as I spoke.

Kyle: "My name is Kyle. What may be hard for some of you to believe is that I'm not from THIS Earth, but I am from AN Earth." All three of them looked confused.

Yoko: "There is only one Earth, though. This one."

Simon: "Yeah, that's kind of confusing."

Kamina: "Unless…" He readjusted his sunglasses. We all looked to Kamina, and he raised his hand up, pointing to the sky.

Kamina: "HE IS FROM THE HEAVENS THEMSELVES! THERE'S NO OTHER EXPLANATION!" I deadpanned.

Kyle: "Well, if I am from the heavens, it's pretty mundane."

Yoko: "I don't find myself believing that claim, but that watch of yours could be some proof. Or that you're from some other place in the stars, like the moon."

Simon: "The moon?"

Yoko: "The white orb in the sky when you blasted off in Lagann before. Remember?" Simon and Kamina looked at each other for a moment, when Boota acted like he remembered, and pointed up, looking at the sun.

Kamina: "Oh! Right! When we flew up to the heavens above the surface!"

Kyle: "I wasn't there for that. Can I start asking questions, or do you need more answers from me?"

Simon: "So your wristband is what made you turn into those other things?" I looked at my Ultimatrix.

Kyle: "It is, Simon. It's called the Ultimatrix. It turns me into a whole lot of forms. The ones you saw were Lodestar, Shocksquatch, and Ghostfreak. There's about a million more where those came from."

Yoko and Simon: "A million?!" They were shocked. Kamina narrowed his gaze to me.

Kamina: "So, there's a lot more to look at on the surface than just the Beastmen, Gunmen, and other humans is what you're telling us."

Kyle: "Yes. But everything I turn into comes from the planets beyond Earth, even farther away than the moon and sun." Kamina smiled to me.

Kamina: "So you have come from the heavens themselves! I KNEW THERE WAS SOMETHING BEYOND THE CANOPY AND WALLS OF JIHA VILLAGE! And Kyle here is the proof of this! And the chief of Jiha Village thought there was nothing! That I was the fool this whole time! The Gunman that landed in Jiha, Kyle's ability to shapeshift! All of this did exist! And I can one day find my father!" My eyes widened. It sounded like Kamina had a big reason to come out of the ground- wait.

Kyle: "Canopy and walls? Of a village? Can you explain?"

Simon: "Oh, I guess if you actually did come from the heavens, you might not know." Oh great, are they all thinking this is true? Simon continued to speak regardless. He said, "Humans live underground. Have been since I can remember, at least. This is the first time Bro and I came to the surface, ever." Kamina then slapped Lagann.

Kamina: "And it's all due to this guy right here. Lagann. He's smaller than most Gunmen, but he can make drills and allows Simon to be able to take on any foe with his fighting spirit!" He exclaimed this loudly. Yoko seemed to be getting tired of this boasting, but hey, at least he has a big booming presence that makes you want to listen to him. The robot was red, was no bigger than most fully grown men, and his body was basically just a face, like the other three Gunmen I witnessed. Why was there a big emphasis on faces in this universe?

Simon: "Bro, I swear we just got lucky. Kyle showed up like Yoko did. There's no way this was all just a coincidence. Let's head back home!"

Kamina: "Simon! It's time to leave behind the boy you were! We're on the surface now! We shouldn't go back! Not when we began to experience them again!"

Kyle: "But you guys just got here. Then again, I only have a little hidey-hole in the side of a cliff myself." Yoko walked towards the scraps we got.

Yoko: "Kyle, you think you can gather the scraps of that Gunman we trashed?" I nodded, going Lodestar again.

Lodestar: "No problem, Yoko. I left another pile of stuff near the hole you guys came out of. I'll get them, too." Once I got to the pile near the hole, I went Gravattack, and levitated the rest over myself. Kamina couldn't help but whistle.

Kamina: "Not bad! Not bad at all! You have a lot of forms! With Simon's Lagann, your Ultimatrix, and my badass and indomitable manly spirit, those Beastmen will never know what hit them!" I cocked my eyebrow. More like Lagann, Yoko's rifle, and my Ultimatrix, but whatever. The guy could be our hype man. Every team needs one.

Gravattack: "Well, I don't have anything else to do right now. I don't see why not." I know I should probably be trying to find a way back home, but I also can't turn down people who need help. Call me crazy, but something is telling me I should be helping out against these Beastmen here. I put all the scraps in one pile, then turned back into Lodestar to magnetize it all together, and extended some metal ropes out of it.

Yoko: "Nice work." I then turned into Humongousaur, grabbing one of them. I also gestured for Simon to use Lagann to grab the other rope. He complied, and we both went to haul off the bunch of scrap.

Simon: "So, where are we taking all of this, Yoko?"

Yoko: "To my village, Littner."

Humongousaur: "We're going underground?" Kamina gave a repulsed look.

Kamina: "AS IF THE MIGHTY TEAM GURREN WILL GO BACK UNDERGROUND!"

Yoko: "No, Littner is above ground now. It isn't too far from here, thankfully. Come on." She climbed onto my shoulders, and pointed forward. She said, "Littner's a few clicks in that direction. We'll be fine as long as I'm guiding you guys."

Kamina: "Well… above ground is still on the surface. I'll take it! ONWARDS, KYLE AND SIMON! TO TEAM GURREN'S DESTINY!" I sweatdropped.

Humongousaur: "Yeah, almighty leader." I may be feeding his ego, though. Whatever. We'll be fine, I think. This 'Team Gurren', as Kamina is calling us, could be an interesting thing to be a part of. All I could do was cooperate with them for now, because there was no way I was going to leave these people behind.

To be continued… Hopefully.
