Darkness. That's all I saw, as my eyes shot open. The world around me consisting of a never-ending void. This… was odd. How did I even get—
"AAARGH!"
I grasped my head suddenly as an influx of information was suddenly crammed into my head. Gritting my teeth, I waited for the flow of knowledge to stop before I processed it. Something about… a game? And before I knew it, a bright blue box appeared in front of my face, filled with glowing white text.

What the hell?! Life RPG! What the hell was the "Life RPG"? Wait… am I… dead? No… no... man what the actual FUCK! I had my dreams and a family, and now you're telling me everything I knew was a JOKE!
For a split second there my temper flared, but suddenly I just… calmed down. It was like my emotions were just tucked away and stored in a box, leaving me like this. Not angry anymore, I just pressed the "New Game+" tag with a sigh. Words popped up on the screen, congratulating me for completing the initial Beta of the game. Quote:
"Thank you for taking part in the 'Life RPG' Alpha test! We've updated a bunch of things as the game ran, and we like it has reached a stage where we are comfortable enough to launch…. "Life RPG: Beta! Hooray! As a gift for helping in our research, we've decided it would be appropriate to give you 2000 points to spend in the game store to purchase unique perks and bonuses., and we've also unlocked 3 modules for a New Game+! If you want to see the changes, go to the Options menu, and click "Updates". Once again, thank you for taking part and have fun on your next playthrough of the Life RPG!"
After reading the text, a stat sheet replaced the message.

Hmm? While I couldn't make any comparisons, I thought my stats were pretty impressive. Although… some were on the low side. Shaking my head, I clicked the continue button and a list popped up.

My eyes scrolled down the list of series before locking on one. Sure, Harry Potter and Naruto were interesting, but none of those series ever brought me to feel the same amount of emotion as Dragon ball. Clicking the tag, a list of options popped from underneath it.
Main Timeline: Play as one of the casts of characters or an original character in the main timeline of the Dragon Ball Narrative. Experience the battles, Feel the emotion, and grasp the power.
There were more options, but they were strangely grayed out. No matter. I clicked the "Main Timeline" option and clicked 'Accept' to confirm my choice. A box popped up with the title "Character Creation" and underneath asked for my race and gender. I was going to click Saiyan, but something stopped me. Instead, I chose the Male Namekian option. The Saiyan's were always played out, in my opinion. They were broken due to all those forms and abilities that Toriyama just pulled out of his ass. I wanted a challenge and what better race to challenge me than the seemingly weak Namekians.

I clicked accept and the sheet disappeared. It was replaced by another list titled "Feats".
Please choose Two Feats at your First Level:
1. Saiyan Zenkai: Like the race of warriors, the Saiyan's, you will grow stronger from injuries. It will be similar to the android of the cannon timeline Cell, as in you can heal yourself and reap the benefits. Energy Modifier at 0.4.
2. Namek's protector: You are the sworn guardian of the planet Namek, helping her in her time of need. +2 Charisma and +1 Luck.
3. Porunga Incarnate: The Dragon of Dreams: Porunga has blessed you with the power of Legends… Energy Modifier x 20; Energy Modifier increases each 5 levels by 2 times.
4. Energy suppression: Power level can be hidden.
5. Warrior Clan: Age faster and your body matures into the perfect fighting machine. +2 to all physical stats. 0.2 to Energy Modifier.
6. Genie: Magic comes naturally to you. With practice, you can create anything! +2 Perception and +2 Luck.
7. Energy Sense- Stackable.
Lvl 1. You can tell if someone is stronger, weaker, or near your power.
Lvl 2. Gets a number a bit off the Power level.
Lvl 3. Complete Power level sense.
8. Born Warrior: *Warrior Clan Required*: Even among your peers in the Warrior clan, you're a born natural. +0.3 to energy modifier. + 2 to Physical stats.
9. Rage: Your calm demeanor snaps in moments of great stress. If used often it could lead to a… greater power. 0.2 to energy modifier.
10. Genius: Your mind is as sharp as a blade. You have eidetic memory which lets you remember everything you see, hear and say. In battle, your mind adjusts quickly and is very adaptable. +4 to intelligence.
They were all very tempting, but I had to choose two. I chose the Saiyan Zenkai and Energy Sense. The list was replaced by a sheet titled "Perks".

You still remember your previous playthrough and have full character progression and access to other features of the game! (CAUTION: With this perk active, your gain points at 1/2, due to being aware of the game)
Godly Namekian- 30,000 points- Ever since you were little, you felt like you've had a greater power imbued in you. It made you stronger…
Age Range- 100 points- Choose a certain age to pop into.
Bonus feats- Stackable-100 points- Purchase more feats.
Super Namek- 700- Grand Elder Guru has recognized you as one of the supreme Namekians: The Super Namek! You grow stronger than the average Namekian. 5 to Energy modifier.
Hmm…? So, these were my perks, huh. I knew what the gamer was, having seen it in enough fanfictions, which made it my number 1 choice. The Godly Namekian didn't even cross my mind. The prices were insane. I also chose the age range and Super Namek, leaving me with just 1,260 points. After choosing 9 bonus feats, that left me with 160 points.
The feat list popped up once again, and I chose 6 more feats: Porunga Incarnate, Warrior Clan, Born Warrior, Rage, Energy suppression, and Genius. I clicked accept, confirming my selection and another option popped up.
Choose your Age and Universe you want to inhabit:
The twelve universes of the Dragon Ball multiverse popped up. I choose Universe 7, and when concerning the Age, I chose Age 750, the year of the fight between Kid Goku and Jackie Chun at the 21st World Martial Arts Tournament. It would give me at least 12 years to prepare for the events on Namek. After clicking confirm a naming sheet popped up.
I didn't know any Namekian names, but thankfully there was a name generator button. I clicked it and the name "Ocari" popped up. I tested the name and I liked it. Typing the name out, I clicked the red confirm button. One last prompt popped up and it asked me the age I would like to arrive in due to the "Age Range" perk.
I knew Namekians aged faster than most, so I choose age 3, which made me have the physical appearance of a teenage Namekian. After clicking confirm, the area around washed away in bright light, before being replaced by the vast realm of space. I felt myself being pulled at lightspeed, as my surroundings blended. After my vision began to slow down, I saw the green beauty that was Planet Namek.
As my body began to descend at terminal velocity towards the landscape, I looked on in fascination at the Namekian houses and terrain. I then noticed where I was headed. A tall Namekian boy was sleeping in a cot, and I was heading right for him! Our two bodies merged and suddenly…
… I woke up. I got off the cot and began to examine my form. I could sense the brimming power in my body. My head snapped to the side sensing the incoming energy approaching me. It was revealed to be a Namekian boy who looked remarkably similar to Piccolo. Suddenly a prompt popped up in my vision.

"You dumbass! You don't remember Ocari! The test to qualify as his bodyguard! Now come on, we can't be late!"
My eyes widened at this, as a sound rang through my mind.
