dream1990 asked for this one. Here you go, Amigo! Enjoy! :)

Frozen belongs to Disney. I only own Icelina and Malango.

A/N: This story takes place when Elsa and Anna are little and after the ballroom incident at the beginning of the movie, so there will be a few spoilers in it, but will take a different route.

Now, on with the story! :)

Stronger By The Bond Of Two

Chapter 1: Fear

Pabbie the troll looked at the royal family who had come to him as Anna had accidentally been struck by a beam of Elsa's magic. The little white-haired girl had tears running down her face as she was afraid her sister was badly hurt. Pabbie gently took Anna from the king and held her, brushing a hand over where a strand of the girl's brown hair had turned white. "She'll be alright," he said gently. "She's only asleep. She'll wake up soon."

"Will this affect her in the future?" The queen asked.

"No," the troll said gently as he laid the young girl on a flat stone to the side and motioned some of the other trolls to come closer. "Bring some herbs to help Princess Anna. I must speak with Princess Elsa."

Nodding, the trolls went to do as they were told while the elder troll turned to the other three. "Princess Elsa, come with me," he said gently.

Elsa looked up at her parents, who nodded encouragingly. "Don't be afraid," the king said. "Pabbie won't hurt you."

Swallowing nervously, the young girl reached out and took the troll's outstretched hand before following him as he guided her away from the others. She looked at him. "Will Anna be okay?" She asked.

"Yes," he said. "She'll be alright."

The guilt didn't leave the girl and she stayed quiet until they reached a circle of stones and Elsa fell to her knees, sobs escaping her as her tears fell faster. "I didn't mean to hurt Anna," she sobbed. "We were just playing and I slipped on some ice."

"I know, child," Pabbie said soothingly, hugging her. She clung to him as she couldn't stop crying and he gently stroked her head to help soothe her. After a bit, her crying calmed down and she looked at the elder troll, who smiled gently and wiped away her tears with a gentle hand. "You have too pure of a heart to hurt someone," he said to her.

His kind words helped her and she sniffled. "Papa said my powers are getting stronger," she said.

"They are," the troll said with a nod, holding her hands in his own. "You have a great gift, young one."

"But I hurt Anna, even though I didn't mean to," she said. "What if I hurt someone else? Or worse?"

Pabbie hugged her again to try and calm her down. "Shh," he soothed. "Calm down, little one."

She clung to him again, calming down as he held her before she looked at him. "What do I do?" She asked. "How can I keep from hurting someone again?"

"You must learn to better control your magic and channel it, my dear," he said to her.

Elsa cocked her head to the side curiously. "But how?" She asked. "Who can teach me?"

The troll smiled, pleased at the young one's question. "You'd be willing to learn more about your ice powers and how to better control them?" He asked.

"Yes," she said. "How can I? Please tell me."

Pabbie smiled again. "There is a magician who lives near here," he said. "A magician of the elements."

Elsa looked curious. "A magician of the elements?" She repeated.

"Yes," he said. "What are the four elements?"

She stood a bit taller as she remembered her lessons. "The four elements are fire, water, wind, and earth," she said.

"Very good, child," he said, pleased that she knew that. "The magician I speak of knows how to use each of those elements and has trained for years to control her powers. I believe she can help you."

The young girl felt hope fill her at learning that someone could teach her. "Where do I go to find her?" She asked.

"Before I tell you that, we must talk to your parents first," Pabbie said gently. "They must know about this too."

Nodding in agreement, Elsa followed him back to where her parents were waiting for them and she found Anna standing there and looking better. "Anna!" She cried out, running to her sister.

"Elsa!" Anna cried out, running up to her and the two sisters hugged each other.

"I'm so sorry," Elsa said, her voice tearful as she felt sad again. "I slipped on some ice. I didn't mean to hurt you, Anna."

"I know, Elsa," the brown-haired girl said with a smile. "It's okay. I'm okay."

"She is," said Hulda with a smile.

Pabbie went up to the king and queen. "Elsa's powers will only get stronger," he said. "She must learn how to better control them."

"Are you sure that's wise?" The king asked. "We don't want Elsa to be treated differently because of her powers."

"I understand your concerns, but if you try to hide her powers, they will only make it harder for her to learn how to control them," he said gently. "She must start learning now while there is still time."

"But who can teach her?" The queen asked.

"There is a magician of the elements who lives in the mountains beyond the forest that lies to the east," Pabbie said. "You must seek her out."

The king stiffened at hearing that. "The magician?" He asked. "But she doesn't like visitors and she is fierce on top of that."

"Only to those who dare intrude her home," the troll said. "But I have something that you can take with you so that she knows I sent you."

The queen was worried. "Are you sure she'd be willing to teach Elsa?" She asked.

"Only she can answer that question, but you must first seek her out."

The king and queen looked afraid at this while Anna looked at the troll. "Is she a good magician?" She asked. "She's not evil, is she?"

Pabbie chuckled gently. "No, my dear," he said. "She is a good magician and uses her powers for good. She'd never harm you or your family."

Elsa looked at her parents hopefully. "Mama. Papa, please?" She pleaded. "If the magician can show me how to better control my powers, I want to learn from her."

"It is a big responsibility, Elsa," the king said gently.

"I know, Papa," she said. "But who else can teach me?"

He nodded, seeing his daughter had a point. The queen nodded too. "Pabbie, are you sure the magician can be trusted?" She asked.

"I trust her with my own life," he replied before handing the queen a bundle. "Take this with you when you go to seek her. She won't attack you if she sees this."

Nodding, the queen looked at her husband, who also nodded. "Thank you," he said to the troll before looking at his daughters. "We'll seek out this magician in the morning."

"Can we come too, Papa?" Anna asked eagerly.

"It would be best if they did go with you," Hulda said gently. "The magician has a soft spot for children."

"Plus she would get to meet the children firsthand," Pabbie said.

The king nodded, seeing the troll was right. "Alright, but you both stay close to your mother and I. Is that clear?" He asked in a stern, fatherly voice.

"Yes, Papa," Elsa said and Anna echoed her.

The queen nodded. "We better get home then to start first thing at dawn," she said before looking at the trolls. "Thank you again."

As the trolls vanished, the royal family headed home and began preparing for a long journey to seek the magician.
