LOCKDOWN!

Based on the current lockdown. Non-con, dub-con, possibly adult themes/situations. AU, no magic, all muggle. Scabior/Hermione/Fenrir. Participants are signed up, rules and conditions are explained, choices are made, some good, some bad.

Breaking news: monthly inmate release planned!

"Well, Mr. Scabior, much as I hate to do this, you do qualify. Your crime was apparently considered to be nonviolent. You were incarcerated in May, your group will be released in May. Do you understand what you are required to do, during your release and afterwards?" asked his parole officer, Kingsley Shacklebolt.

"Once we're taken to the neighborhood, we're released for three days. We have to find and screw a girl for three days without being apprehended. If we can do that, we get to stay with the girl until it's determined that she's knocked up. If she is, we marry and have two more brats. Three years, three brats! After that, we're free from returning to hell. If we can't get two more brats, we go back to hell." Scabior smirked. "Did I miss anything?"

Kingsley raised an unimpressed brow at him. "Yes, you forgot the part where you return to jail should you be caught stealing anymore, rehabilitation project be damned."

Scabior shrugged. 'That was easy, all he had to do was NOT get caught again!' he wondered if Fenrir was getting the same lecture, down the hall. After signing his name to the document, verifying his willingness to participate in the project, he was finally allowed to leave.

He didn't go far before being joined by a massively tall man who queried an eyebrow at him. "Scabior! Well, did they put you into the project?"

"Hey, Fenrir. Yeah, did you make it, too?" he cocked a brow in return.

"Barely, just barely, Moody didn't want to let me in but his hands were tied." Fenrir chuckled darkly.

"I just hope they have enough girls to go around! Hey, worst comes to worst, would you be willing to share a girl with me?" Scabior inquired.

"Not at all, wouldn't be the first time we've shared a girl, yeah?" Fenrir clapped the younger man on the back.

"I wonder if that would count. Damn, I should have asked Shacklebolt about that. Hey, wait here, man, I'll go back and ask Shacklebolt." Scabior turned and headed back to his parole officer's office. After knocking and being hailed into the room, he flopped into the same chair from earlier.

"Question. What happens if me and another inmate both catch the same girl? Who gets her?" he asked curiously. Shacklebolt considered the question carefully. "Ever heard of polygamy, Scabior?"

"Multiple wives, yeah, only legal in certain states, if I'm remembering right." He stared intently at the man.

"In this state, polyandry is, well, not quite legal, so to speak but it IS allowed. So that would answer your question, I believe. If you and another inmate happen upon the same girl and both lay claim to her, you would both be allowed to stay with and marry her, you would both then have three years EACH to produce three children with her. Your only hope is multiple births if two of you lay claim to her." Shacklebolt regarded the young man in silence. Scabior stared back at him impassively as he nodded. Once again, he bounded out of the chair, eager to get out of there.

He suspected he knew why he had asked that particular question. He had come into the system with Fenrir Greyback, known as one of the best car thieves in the business, until their gang had turned on the two of them, leaving them hanging in the breeze. All the correctional officers knew Fenrir protected him. All the inmates knew to stay the hell away from the boy or incur the wrath of Fenrir! As far as he was aware, only one inmate had tried to beat up on the boy. A day after he put Scabior into the infirmary, he was found, beaten and bloody, almost dead in the showers.

He was almost sure that Fenrir was going to be in the project, too. He and Scabior must be planning to tag team some poor girl during their release. He knew from talking to Fenrir, himself, after Scabior was injured, that Fenrir thought of the boy as a son. He'd taken the young man under his wing, teaching him everything he knew about stealing cars.

Once they were inside, he'd again taken the young man under his wing, protecting him from the other inmates. Nobody wanted to mess with an almost seven foot tall man armed with a three pronged shank that he took great pleasure in sharpening to razor sharpness. Therefore, knowing he regarded the young man who followed him around as his son, nobody messed with Scabior for fear of pissing off Fenrir.

Scabior found Fenrir leaning against the wall where he'd left him. "Polyandry." Was all he said. It was all Fenrir needed to know. He smiled wickedly. "Good thing we have the same taste in women, aye, boy?" Scabior was ginning widely. "You find us a place to stash her and I'll find us the girl!"

Now they had the chance of getting out of this hellhole and damned if he was going to leave the boy behind. Once they had been out long enough, they were going after the people who had landed them in prison.

The Grangers had just moved to the neighborhood. They were warmly welcomed, especially when they introduced their daughter, Hermione. The neighbors exchanged glances but shook their heads. No, it was best that they find out on the night. Too many of them had settled into the neighborhood through that method.

There was an empty house beside the Grangers, it had stood empty for years now. The women took turns, cleaning it, and the men took care of all the repairs. Hermione loved the window seat on the ground floor and delighted in sneaking over there to sit and read a book in that window seat.

She had made friends with the other kids on the block. Harry, Ron, Ginny and Parvati were the ones she hung out with the most. Another girl, Lavender Brown, hung out with them, too. She was always dressed in jogging pants and an oversized hoodie. She was the only one of the group who was married. She didn't talk about her husband, Antonin Dolohov. As a matter of fact, she didn't really talk much, at all. He was years older than her and always slightly scary to Hermione.

Hermione was curious about her, especially after Ginny and Parvati both told her how bubbly and happy the girl was before her marriage. They both assured Hermione, if she'd known Lavender before, she wouldn't recognize the girl she was now. That's when she learned the dark secret of her new neighborhood. Several times a year, the authorities would release so many inmates into the neighborhood. The girls were the prey. Everyone was warned to go into lockdown and keep their daughters inside. If an inmate managed to get hold of a girl and stay hidden with her for three days, her family was forced to allow him to stay with her until it was known if she was expecting a child. He was then allowed to marry the girl but had to have two more children in the next two years in order to stay out of jail. That was why Lavender was only nineteen but already married and had three kids.

Hermione was horrified. She went home and went straight to her room. Remembering the fear in Lavender's eyes, she wanted nothing more than to get out of the neighborhood as fast as possible. They had told her there was another release scheduled for any day now. It was always on a weekend. They were released on Friday night after the neighborhood was locked down and they were all rounded up from then until Monday morning. From eight at night until eight in the morning, the inmates were free to roam and loafer around. At eight sharp, they had to be hidden or be rounded up and taken back to prison.

She suddenly realized it was Friday. She had to get out of there! She hastily packed a bag and went down to tell her parents that she was going to her grandmother's for the weekend. As she walked into the living room, she was alarmed to see a police officer.

"Mom, dad, I'm going to grandma's house. I'm staying the whole weekend." Hermione told them. Her mother looked at fearfully. Her father shook his head.

"Hermione, sweetheart, you can't go. We have to go into lockdown in a few minutes. They've had a few inmates escape from a work crew. They need the weekend to find them." Her father said.

"Hermione? I'm sorry but you really need to stay in tonight. It would be very, very bad for you to be caught outside tonight." The police officer told her, feeling sorry for the girl. Apparently she'd either found out or was just easily panicked.

Hermione was breathing heavily, knowing the officer was lying to her parents. "I don't want to stay here! I hate it here! Why are you making me stay?! Why are you doing this to me?! Do you want me to end up like Lavender Brown?!"

Her father stared at her. "Hermione? Who is Lavender Brown? What does she have to do with this?"

"Tell them, tell them the truth! There was no escape! They're being deliberately released! Tell them!" Hermione screamed at the cop. He sighed and quietly told her horrified parents the truth. He replaced his hat and left after warning them again to lock the doors and keep Hermione inside.

She dropped her bag and went back upstairs. She sat on her bed and hugged her knees. Suddenly she heard a loud engine outside. She scrambled off her bed and looked out her window. There was a bus two houses down at the end of the block. As she watched, there were, at least, ten men came off the bus, dressed in orange jumpsuits. Two of them stopped and looked around. The shorter one seemed to turn and look right at her. She gasped and jumped back, her heart pounding. She dropped to the floor and slid backwards to her lamp. She turned it off and laid down on the floor, trembling with fear.

The bus stopped and they were finally able to stand up and stretch the kinks out. They disembarked and looked around. Scabior was glancing at the houses and looked up. He saw a girl looking out her window at them. He smiled. 'Bingo! There was their girl! They just had to wait the little thing out!' he watched the girl duck out of sight. He nudged Fenrir, who turned to him questioningly. "Found our girl, unless you see another one you want to grab, too. Your turn to find us a safe house." Fenrir chuckled and looked at the house next to where Scabior had seen the girl. 'Perfect!'

The driver came off the bus and opened the luggage compartment. He pulled out a large trunk and opened it. Amazingly, all the prisoners' clothes were there. Scabior dived in and grabbed his faded black jeans and vest. Greyback grabbed his own jeans and his trench coat. They both pulled on their boots. The driver got back on the bus and turned on his speaker and megaphone. "Attention, neighborhood! Lockdown begins now, I repeat, lockdown begins now!"

Scabior and Fenrir started down the sidewalk. When they reached the empty house, Scabior started to glance at it. "No, don't look at it, don't express any kind of interest in it at all! That's how they find you. The driver and guard both back there are just waiting to see which house we pick, then they'll stake it out and catch us!"

Scabior kept his eyes straight ahead as they walked the neighborhood.

Hermione had sat up, turned her computer on and was video chatting with Ginny and Parvati. "Oh, my god, they've let them loose! They're out there now! What do we do?" she was in panic mode. The other two calmed her down. They'd had years to get used to this routine. Lavender wasn't the only girl of their age who had been caught, as it turned out. Parvati had a twin sister who'd also been caught. Ginny and Parvati had, so far been able to slip the through the noose. They assured Hermione, all she had to do, was STAY IN! Whatever she did, she was NOT to take out step outside her home!

Just then, she got an IM. It was from Harry, inviting her to a party. He assured her that Ginny and Parvati were also invited. What's more, Draco Malfoy, the boy she was crushing on, would be there as well. She flipped back to Ginny and Parvati, asking them if they were going. They were wary, as the timing of the party seemed suspicious. Finally, they rationalized, if they could all meet and go together as a group, the inmates wouldn't have a chance to snatch them. As it was still light out, they determined to get dressed and light out as soon as possible.

At Harry's house, he got off his computer and looked at Ron and Draco, all three feeling sick at what they had just done. "This is why I'm going into politics, as soon as I can, after college." Draco said determinedly. "I'm abolishing this sick game between the prison and this neighborhood!" They knew it would be too late for the current crop of girls, but maybe by the time more girls were moved in, hopefully they would have the law torn down.

Hermione knew, now that her parents knew what was going on, there was no way in hell she'd get past them and out a locked door. Which left her with only one choice, one she'd used several times before. There was a very strong trellis outside her window. She could climb down that and be on her way to the meeting point. Unknown to her, Ginny and Parvati had already decided it was too risky and were desperately trying to text her to let her know, they'd changed their minds. Unfortunately, she'd laid her cell phone on her desk and hadn't checked her messages before she climbed out her window.

Scabior and Fenrir had walked the length of the entire neighborhood. They were now nearing the house Fenrir had chosen. The bus was no longer in sight. Scabior smiled. That was why Fen had insisted on such a long walk! He'd known the bus would be gone! Scabior had forgotten, this wasn't Fen's first time in the release. It was just the first time Scabior had been allowed to join the release, too.

They walked up the pathway. Someone had obviously been taking care of the place. It was in very good shape for an abandoned house. Fen leaned casually against the door, glancing around. Almost in the blink of an eye, he'd popped the old lock and they were in. Now came the fun part. It was Scabior's turn to go get the girl. Fenrir hadn't seen the girl himself but he knew what type Scabior always looked for. He just hoped whatever pretty little piece of fluff the boy had found could handle two of them.

Scabior slipped out the back and walked to the front, between the two houses, making sure to stay in the shadows. 'Now, I wait.' He thought as he settled against the house. 'She has to come out sometime.' Almost as if his thoughts alone had conjured her, he heard a small thump up ahead. He peered out. Evidently, from the way she was hanging on to it, she had just climbed down the trellis. He silently eased up behind her. She was unaware of the danger she was in.

As Hermione looked around, trying to spot Ginny and Parvati, she heard a football behind her. Before she could blink, strong arms closed around her and a hand clapped over her mouth. She was yanked into the shadows between her house and next door. She was shoved into the wall and a hard body pressed into her. "Hello, beautiful, just where are YOU going so late?" a breathy voice whispered into her ear. She stared straight at the young inmate from earlier. Her eyes widened as they took in his outfit. He chuckled at the shocked expression on her face. "Darling, it wouldn't be much of a chase, would it, if all you had to do was dodge the orange jumpsuits!"

With that comment, he hauled her back into his arms and carried her further into the shadows. They were at the back door of the abandoned house before she could think to do anything to draw attention to them. She could see the taller man just inside the door. As his eyes met hers, she could swear it almost looked as if he was trying to apologize to her.
