I'll always be there

Iris Potter was in the living room with her six year old adopted son Teddy in his room asleep.

She had taken custody of him five years ago when both his parents and grandparents had died from Voldemort. She adopted him a year later. They now live at Grimauld Place with Kreacher, Dobby and Winkey working for them.

She, Ron and Hermione had graduated Hogwarts and joined the Order at graduation. Dumbledore was killed two years after they graduated and everyone looks at her now. Even though she's only twenty three she's now the leader of the Order of the Phoenix.

She took it from there because everyone knew she was a good leader and had experience with that.

It's been nine years and the war was still going on. She had dueled Voldemort multiple times since she left school. She uses every bit of her strength unlike school.

She, Ron and Hermione were finding horcruxes slowly using her connection with him.

Then she heard him crying so she stood up and went to check on him.

"Teddy? What's wrong?" she asked.

"I had a bad dream." he said and sniffed.

"Alright, why don't you tell me what happened?" she said and sat down next to him.

"I saw you fighting him again and being killed."

She sighed.

'I'm gonna kill you for this Riddle the next time I duel you.' she thought.

Then she put him on her lap.

"Don't worry, I'll be here forever. I promise."

"You promise?"

She nodded.

"Yes. Unlike my and your parents I promise I'll stay with you."

He nodded and looked at her.

"Can you sing me that song?"

She smiled and nodded then put him down and tucked him up.

"Where the north wind meets the sea

She waved her hand and some wind went off and a picture of a lake came.

There's a river full of memory

She pulled out memories of when they were having a picnic and he smiled remembering what they did.

Sleep, my darling, safe and sound

Then she grabbed his wolf. She had gotten that for him so he could think about his father Remus.

He held it close.

For in this river all is found

She showed him the day he found a flower for her at the picnic.

In her waters, deep and true

Then there was a picture of them swimming and playing catch.

Lay the answers and a path for you

They were walking in the sand smiling.

"Can we go again this summer?" Teddy asked getting tired.

She smiled.

"Sure."

Then she continued.

Dive down deep into her sound

Teddy listened as she sang and was starting to fall asleep.

But not too far or you'll be drowned

Iris thought about how long she couldn't swim but focused on her core while she did wandless magic with the memories.

She made a magical dolphin and it went around them.

Yes, she will sing to those who'll hear

Teddy thought about what they had done while sang him to sleep.

And in her song, all magic flows

She made pictures of Teddy, Ron, Hermione and herself and had them playing.

But can you brave what you most fear?

He nodded.

"If you fight Voldemort then I can to!" Teddy said.

She smiled and continued.

Can you face what the river knows?

She made a squid, fish and mermaid and they went around him.

Where the north wind meets the sea

The wind went around again and showed him when they brought the kite with them.

There's a mother full of memory

She thought about her fun with Teddy, Ron and Hermione and smiled while she made her friends go with the ocean creatures.

Come, my darling, homeward bound

She started to stop making things and saw he was almost asleep.

When all is lost, then all is found."

While Teddy fell asleep he thought about something.

'I lost mummy and daddy but I found a great godmother and mummy. Someone that understands what I lost. She won't leave me.'

Then he fell asleep.

Iris smiled and gave him a kiss.

"Don't worry, I'll always be with you. After I defeat Voldemort everyone will be fine." she said while he slept smiling.

Then she closed his door and got ready for bed herself.
