Disclaimer: I don't own Naruto.

Sarutobi was pleased this went so well. Minato was oddly silent, but Kushina seemed to have accepted everything.

"Does anyone have any questions?" They all shook their heads. "Good I have paperwork to do, so you are all dismissed."

About to leave, Naruto suddenly hesitated. "Actually, I have a question. Where will I be living?"

Chapter 3

The Professor blinked in surprise. He hadn't thought of that at all. "Err..." he started.

"Sensei, I think she should stay with Minato for now. In that way, both of my students will be able to get to know each other better." Ero-sensei wiggled his eyebrows suggestively, enjoying the shell-shocked expressions on both of his former students' faces and then the barely noticeable pink hue that was beginning to spread.

"What?! There is no way I will live with him!" Naruto suddenly yelled, still embarrassed, though, because of the earlier insinuation.

Due to the fact that people in the room were too engrossed with Jiraiya's insinuation and Naruto's outburst, they all missed the secretive yet knowing smirk on the Hokage's face.

"I think it's an excellent idea." the Sandaime said out of the blue.

"What?" Naruto, Minato, and Kushina said at the same time.

"Really?" said the self-proclaimed Superpervet grinning and thinking about his new research material for his books.

"Have you gone senile old man?! And how the heck could it be an excellent idea?" Naruto asked sarcastically.

'Old man?' Minato repeated in his head, directing incredulous look at the new girl. The Sandaime, on the other hand, was obviously untroubled by the rude nickname.

He didn't know why, but a small part of him felt a little hurt at Naruto's fierce answer. What was her problem with him?

"Is there a problem with Minato for you to complain about him?" Sarutobi raised an eyebrow at her.

"Well. Firstly, I don't know him. Secondly, this shameless pervert puts the idea forward." Naruto shouted at him, and then she glared at the white-haired man. However, it didn't faze the Sandaime at all who only calmly waited onto the finish of her outburst.

" There is no reason for you to be worried about that. Minato is the complete opposite in comparison to my former student on that note."

"But Sandaime-sama wouldn't it be better if she stayed with me? I mean we are related after all, dattebane. I don't see why she should stay with Minato and not with me." Kushina interrupted the Hokage and then glared at the grinning Sannin who was going to say a very good reason - at least according to him.

The mentioned blond man was thinking once again, what was wrong with him? And why they were talking about him like he wasn't here. It really began to be annoying.

"Kushina, I understand your reasoning, but I must insist that Naruto will stay with Minato." Kushina started to object, but the Sandaime stopped her by raising his hand "Let me explain. Even with Jiraiya's backing Naruto up, I cannot just like that accept her in the village. Unfortunately, she must be put on a probationary period of six months. I will try to shorten the period but I don't promise anything. Additionally, Minato is one of my most trusted shinobi, so in that, I will be able to prevail on the council to accept her." Well, at least that is an official reason. Sandaime thought to himself and then mentally smirked.

Honestly, he was convinced that Minato would be the best person who will appear in Naruto's life and free her from her deep-buried sorrows. Plus he will totally ship them.

Kushina could be good for Minato but he was certain that Naruto was perfect for him.

Someday the ungrateful brat will thank him and then he will tell her: I told you so.

"I understand, Hokage-sama. " Kushina replied sadly, and then she glared at Minato and his former sensei "I will give both of you a warning only once, so better you listen to me very carefully. If I ever get to know that something happened to her you will firsthand experience why I was called red hot-blooded habanero. You get it!?"

"Yes, ma'am!" both student and teacher energetically nodded their heads. Neither of them wanted to face pissed off Kushina. In the meantime, Naruto finally understood why pissing off Kushina was equivalent to a death wish. She was freaking scary.

After a moment the Hokage turned to Minato "Minato I hope it's not a problem for you?" Sarutobi stopped any protests with a firm look, smiling when Minato weakly shook his head. " Good then. Now you're all dismissed."

After leaving the office, they found themselves at Ichiraku's Ramen stand. Naruto and Kushina had gotten along rather well. She was so full of life, vibrant and beautiful but a little rash.

"So Naruto, how do you like the village?" Kushina asked.

"I came here only yesterday so I haven't seen much yet, but from what I've heard it seems like a nice place to live." At least if you're not the Great Fox's jailor that destroyed the village. She thought acidly to herself.

"Oh, it is. I'll take you around the village tomorrow."

"Are you sure it's not gonna be a problem? I mean, I don't want to disturb your plans."

"Don't worry, you won't. I wasn't planning anything particular to do tomorrow. " she assured the blond girl grinning. "I'll come after you at 10."

"Wow! This is your house?! It's so big!" Naruto motioned at the large house and then turned to Minato. " I'm sorry for my earlier outburst. I must say I've got a little problem with my temper and that old pervert insinuation really pissed me off. I hope we can start over again. I'm Uzumaki Naruto." she reached out her hand to him.

"Don't worry about this. I completely understand. I'm Namikaze Minato." he said shaking her hand. "And I can assure you I'm not anything like my former sensei."

"Good. Otherwise, I would have to beat you to a pulp." she said grinning. She and Kushina really are alike. Minato thought. He also hoped he would survive her probation.

"Hey, relax. If you are not a pervert, you don't need to worry about that." Naruto was amused by how the older blond was afraid of her.
